Welcome to the OtakuBoards rules page. Although some of our forums have their own specific posting rules, we also have a set of general rules that govern the entire site. Forums that have their own specific posting rules contain sticky threads for members to read – always make sure to check for sticky threads in forums. Below you will find our general site rules.

For the uninitiated, spam is basically any type of content that we don’t want to see on the site. We expect all members to exercise a little common-sense when it comes to posting, but just to be sure, here’s a basic list of stuff we don’t want to see on OtakuBoards:

· Abuse of members or staff
· Threads or posts created solely for advertising
· Adult images/content
· Selling/distribution/advertising of copyrighted material
· Plagiarism
· Double-posting

In general we encourage all members to post coherently – it doesn’t really matter how big or small your posts are, as long as they are clear and relevant to the discussion.

At OtakuBoards members are welcome to put images in their signatures, but we do have a couple of requirements:

· Only one image per signature is allowed
· A signature image may be no larger than 550 pixels wide and 120 pixels tall
· Signatures are restricted to a maximum of 300 characters

Our rules are pretty basic and we will give all members a fair amount of leeway. However, we do reserve the right to ban any member at any time and without warning. If a member is doing something inappropriate on OtakuBoards, a Moderator will usually PM the member to provide a warning – but this is not required.
