maybe it is a factory defect for my zone but not a single dvd that i own other than the 3 that say ps2 compatible have worked...i don't know however it maybe the region issue most of my anime dvds are region 2...my computer reads all regions so i never really cared about the number before

I just read about the making of akira as a ps2 game in japan no garuntees about it being released in america but what does everyone think about this concept...I think that akira as a game would be sweet although it would rip the crap out of the movie. My only question to the game makers is are you playing as tetsou or kaneda???

agrees with seph on the ff issue.i do love what sony has done with the ps2 and the way it works my only problem with it was that they hiped up the fact that you could play dvds{silly me thinking ill ever be able to play my dvds on nething ither than my comp}when in fact it requires ps2 compatible dvds which includes absolutely non of my anime dvds...

Well i geuss im not alone out there...although i knda figured people would have played bof3 after the success of bof and bof2 on super nintendo...i think my bof3 disc got scratched or something though i have beaten it once.gone back and played it again and got stuck in the temple with the 4 spinning blocks puzzle tryed beating it the way i remembered doing it the first time and couldn't.....
