OOC: I mean it. I will leave this RPG if the demons can't kill Rue. It won't be much fun for me if they can't, so I'll have no problem leaving. ---------------------------------------- Karanlik shook his head. "He just doesn't get it, does he?" "What doesn't he get?" Kayin asked. "That he will be able to die in affected areas. I suspect that he can be killed in our world even if he won't admit it, but I know that he can be killed in affected areas. Anything can be killed in affected areas, even possessors like him." "He's not like other possessors," Cur said. "like him, I use the term because there isn't a better one," Karanlik explained. "I keep telling him that I've seen others like him, but he won't listen. He will be able to die in affected ares, Cur. The ones like him did, and they were like him, and not true possessions. They died in affected areas, and Rue will be able to be killed in them, too."
-
"How does that make me wrong?" Karanlik asked. "I never said that Zeke was still intact mentally. Like I said, I've seen other possessions. I've seen a possessing creature leave a body. There was nothing left in that body. It was just an empty shell. I have no reason to believe that the other possessions were any different. "And even if there's something else that makes you different from other possesions, you will still be able to die in an affected area. Everything can die in affected areas. That much has been carried over. I've seen beings get shot multiple times and survive unharmed, but they were killed quickly in affected areas. It doesn't matter what you think, Rue. You will be able to die in there." ------------------------------------ OOC: I will stop posting in this RPG if the demons can't kill Rue. And i'm not kidding.

I don't have any good stories, but if you want to know what I think is absolutly nuts, I can do that. In Ikaruga, play a Normal Game on Hard mode. When you reach Chapter 5 (if you do; Hard mode is extremly difficult), change your ship to black if it isn't there already, and hold down the fire button. Tons of small white ships appear at the beginning of Chapter 5, and on hard, every ship fires back when you destroy it. So not only do you have to avoid the white ships trying to ram you, but you have to avoid the tons of white bullets coming at you. Try and make it through that without dying (no, I've never managed to do it). If that's not insane, I don't know what is.

"Dawn approaches," Karanlik noted. "We should wake the others." Once everyone is awake, they start thinking about what to do next. "I know where several demon strongholds are," Karanlik said, "but there's no way I could attack any of them on my own. But as a group, we might stand a chance." "I could easily destroy them by myself," Rue said. "No help is needed." "Don't be so sure about that," Karanlik said. "And why not?" "The demons come from a different dimension, for lack of a better term," Karanlik explained. "There are only certain locations where portals from there to our world are formed. These portals are always inside demon strongholds. "The portals seem to partially destabilize the area surrounding them on both sides, which has the effect of bringing a little of their world through. One effect of this is a dampening effect in nearby areas. Wide-range abilities simply don't work. for example, Kayin wouldn't be able to do a big lightning strike like he's done a couple times. Rue, that thing you did do destroy the city wouldn't do anything in an affected area. Fortunately, everything else stil works, and it's possible to take out a few targets at a time. "Oh, and as for you, rue, i've seen possessions before. You're a bit different, but you funtion under the same rules, right down to an object that gives one cotrol over you. In affected areas, you will be weakened greatly, although you will still be more powerful than any of us. in addition to the lack of wide-range capability, you will probably be unable to do your teleportation trick, and several other abilities will be weakened. you'll still be able to take out demons easily, but you'll have to be careful, because there will be tons of them, and in dampened areas, if the other possesions I've seen are any indication, you can die. "But before we go in to one of the strongholds, we need to take care of some other things. Rue, I have a couple things for you to do. First, find some food for us. Do whatever you need to, except those things that I have instructed you not to. After you do that, get an effective weapon for Cur, preferably an explosive weapon, although a bazooka is good, too." After dealing with Rue's inevitable objections to his instructions, Karanlik turns to the others. "Now, should we attack a demon stronghold, or not? And if not, then what should we do?"

OOC: Siire?s stubborn. That?s part of his character. Oh, and he believes that that whole thing does concern him, because BD, in addition to being his brother, has been helping him and the others. Then the issue with Kendogarurumon and Galfmon comes up, and Siire doesn?t know who?s on what side. It?s only natural that he should want to know what?s going on. ------------------------------------------ ?I can?t believe I let you talk me into that,? Siire grumbled. ?Why did I let you talk me into that?? ?Because we needed to eat,? Tera repied. ?Well, that?s the last time I take orders from an egg. Come on, let?s get out of this village before we?re attacked again.? ?Where should we go?? Rena asked. Siire looked at his digivice. ?Rad?s in range. We should go after him.? Tera laughed. ?How did I know you?d say that?? ?We can?t have him after us as well as the frequent and increasingly more dangerous attacks we have to deal with. Now, Rad might not know that he can track us with his digivice, but we can?t assume that.? ?So what should we do?? Cassie asked. ?Siire probably has a plan he got from a book,? Hawkmon remarked. Siire laughed. ?Of course. We set a trap. have one human-Digimon pair head toward him alone as bait while the others move in a different direction. If Rad doesn?t know that he can track us, the group will move in at the same time as the bait. If Rad does know, he?ll go for the bait. The group will move in behind him. Either way, our goal will be to knock him out. Hopefully, that will be enough to bring him to his senses, but if not, then we?ll try something else.? ?And who?s the bait?? Tera asked, pretty sure that she knew the answer. ?Hawkmon and I will do it,? Siire said, confirming Tera?s suspicion. ?Sylphimon will probably be able to take him without help, but in case he can?t, get to us as soon as you can. Any objections?? ---------------------------------- OOC: Blanko, the ?any objections? pat is to leave you a way out if you don?t want to go after Rad.

Writing Digimon: Dark Conflict [Revisited]
GuyYouMetOnline replied to Solo Tremaine's topic in Creative Works
I mean it, Solo. I will keep pestering you until this story is finished. I just have to know what happens, especially after your cliffhanger in the origional verson. I'm serious, I will not stop pestering. PMs are next. -
OOC: You know, the mods will be all over us if we don't start making longer posts. Oh, and Lilith, if you don't give out enough plot information for the rest of us to post, we won't post, and the RPG will die out. Even this post is a stretch, and if you don't give our characters something to do, either someone else will make up something that might conflict with the story you have in mind (some stuff in this post might, so please tell me if anything does), or people will stop posting. Just some advice. -------------------------------------------- "You know what we'd have to do to even reach the spirit realm," Seuneu said to Lily. "Nobody's managed to do it." "What would we have to do?" Charisma asked. "The spirit realm is not like the realms we're from. To get there, you have to die. There's only one way to reach it alive. We'd have to find the four keys that unlock the portal to the spirit realm." "Guarded?" Charisma asked. "Yes," Lily replied. "I don't know by what, and each one is undoubtably guarded by something different, but they're guarded." 'Dangerous?" "Definetly," Otsuyu confirmed. "I'm not ready to try that just yet," Seuneu said. "See, there's one place where our enemy hasn't done anything. Only one. There has to be a reason for it. If we go to that place, we might just find something. Of course, it might just be that our enemy hasn't hit there yet, but it might be for some other reason. So, should we go there, or should we try and access the spirit realm?"

He's never acted like that before, Siire thought. What is he hideing? Or hideing for his partner? He emphasized the fact that Galfmon said that to KendoGarurumon. Maybe whatever it is happened before they became partners. There's something going on here that none of us have any clue about, and we need to figure out what it is. But first, we have another problem to deal with. "Well, we can try and find food, but we still have Rad to worry about," he said aloud. "He'll attack again soon, I think. We need to be sure we're ready for him. And like you said, Tera, we need to do whatever it takes to bring him back to reality." "We can't fight if we don't have any energy," Hawkmon told him. "We need to find something to eat. Let's check out that village." "All right," Siire agreed. "Then let's go."
-
Siire looked at Hawkmon. "I thought you were going for the inside hit." "Beelzemon beat me to it," Hawkmon replied. "Not that I'm complaining." Siire laughed. "You did great. Everyone did." He turned to BD. "Two questions. First, is there a level above Mega?" BD shook his head. "No, although some Digimon are powerful enough that it seems like they are." "I don't like the sound of that," Siire remarked. "Well, time for the second question. What the hell did Galfmon mean when he said 'You dare trade sides' to KendoGarurumon? You've been hiding something. That was made clear to me when you wouldn't tell everyone your name, and even more so when you told Tera and I not to reveal who you are. Now it seems that you were hiding something I honestly didn't think you ever would have done. It's in the open now, BD. 'You dare trade sides', he said. Trade sides. You were on the other side, weren't you? What did you do? And why?"
-
While the other Digimon attacked Galfmon, Sylphimon got behind him. He flew up and over Galfmon and hit him in the face with a Static Force. Galfmon recovered quickly enough to grab Sylphimon before he could get away. "Pathetic creature. Do you really think you can win?" "I should ask you the same question," Sylphimon replied. "You lost last time. There is no reason that you'll win this time." Galfmon laughed. "You cannot hope to defeat me." "We'll see about that. Static Force!" Sylphimon couldn't free his hands, but he was still able to attack. Unfortunately, Galfmon didn't let go. Instead, he squeezed. "Double Impact!" Beelzemon's shots hit Galfmon in the eyes. Sylphimon took advantaged of this and escaped. "Nice shot, Beelzemon. Thanks." "No problem." Siire looked at Galfmon's face. "Can he still see?" "Probably," BD told him. "The eyes aren't as much of a vulnerable spot on most Digimon as you'd think. Try the inside of the mouth. If any of our Digimon can send an attack inside Galfmon, it sould do major damage." "I'll give it a shot," Sylphimon said. "Give me some cover," he instructed the other Digimon, "because I'm going in."
-
"But that doesn't change who and what you are," Karanlik continued. "It doesn't matter what you sound like." "What happened?" Rue asked. "Why did you attack me? I was following your instrctions." "The demons were going to destroy the city. We were supposed to stop them, not do it for them. I told you to protect the humans." "There were no humans in the city when I destroyed it. Much easier than hunting down every demon within it." "Protecting them includes protecting their belongings. Almost everyone survived, but there is no reason for it. None of them have anything left. You will never understand what that means." "There is no reason I shouldn't have done what I did." "That's not true. I would kill you if I could." "No one can kill me. The only one who could is no more." Karanlik laughed. "Every living thing can be killed, even you, no matter what you think." He walked back to the group, ordering Rue to follow. He ordered Rue to stand guard as everyone else slept.

OOC: Blanko, nobody said anything about the picture. ----------------------------------------- Did he really think I ordered an investigation? David thought as Jon left. I just reported things that needed to be reported and regestered in his profile. There's no reason to investigate him. He'll come up with anything to make himself feel more important. David turned to face Jack. "What is going on with you, Jack?" "All will be told soon." "Predictable," David said. This is really strange, Mina thought. "That's an understatement, Mina." David was confused by Mina's startled reaction. "What?" "I didn't say anything," Mina told him. "But- you have got to be kidding me." "You do keep saying that you have latent psychic abilities," Aurora pointed out. "I think I'll go insane if I start reading everyone's mind, and I don't know how to control it. At least I'm not getting anything more now. Must be just coming out. Hopefully we'll be done here before any abilities fully reveal themselves. At least then I can get proper training." He turns to Jack. "Now, I believe we were trying to get you to tell us what just happened to you. So what happened?"
-
It didn't take David long to make a guess. "That looks like a planet, and probably represents Earth. Zaleon was in front of it, and because it had to move to get there, I'm not thinking that that was a coincidence. Also, there was something covering both Zaleon and the planet image. Remember how Zaleon said he protected this place? I think there's a relevance. "Zaleon said that he'd have to sacrifice himself 'for this planet'. And just now, he restored the planet's image on the wall. Also, he restored what he could of the city. Again, I think there's relevance. That helps reveal Zaleon's role, although I think there's more to it, and we don't have any information about everything else that's supposed to happen. I wish we had a translation guide for this writing on the wall here. Maybe there's one around here somewhere. Let's start looking." And I know better than to cause a panic, Zaleon he thought. In fact, I don't intend to tell anybody anything about these ruins or the events that are supposed to occur until I get back. I've reported Omega GPs and the Delta and Gamma as part of my job, but I don't have to report anything that doesn't have to do with criminal activites or preventing them. So don't be afraid to tell me what's going to happen, or give a hint. At least a hint would be appreciated, by the way.

"I'll come," Ryo agreed. "Me, too," Jim said. "Good," Karanlik replied. "Follow me." He led Ryo and Jim back to the others and introduced everyone. "Where's Rue?" he asked Cur. "He's dealing with pursuers." "Who's Rue?" Jim asked. "Rue is the most dangerous being you'll ever meet," Karanlik said. "He could kill you without any trouble, but I have instructed him not to. If he is intending to, he will freeze in place and be unable to act until you tell him he can again. The same goes for you, Ryo. Cur, you have any extra crystal pieces?"
-
Um, that's already been solved. That question was on page 1. We're on page 18. Make sure you're replying to the more recent posts, not the possibly months old ones.
-
"I'm not really that curious," David said. "I'm here because I was assigned to make sure no illegal operations were taking place in this area. Good thing I was here, too. I'm sure you know what happened. But I'm still part of the group, and the group is here to explore. That means figuring out what happened here." David looked at the walls. "I can't read any of this. Zaleon, you said that our coming here triggers the events written on the walls here, but I can't read the writing. What's written here?"
-
David walked over to the pillar with the words on it. "Fate, Harmony, Hope, Respect, Doom, and Time. Harmony and Respect refer to this city as it was before. Doom would be the city dieing out. Hope is... I'm not quite sure. Fate could refer to the city dieing, but it could refer to whatever event is written on the walls. As for time, I have no clue." Am I even close?[i/] he thought. David smiled. Yes, Zaleon, I've figured it out. It was quite easy, actually. The only way you could get the exact location of a UNO prison is from my mind. Nobody else here knows where any of them are, and you yourself said that you haven't left this mountain. There's no other explination. So, am i right about the words, close to right, or nowhere close?

Branit rolls into the balistics area. "Azufe!" Azufe turns, sees Branit, and walks over to him. "Yes?" Before Branit could reply, Bolt entered the room. Azufe saw him and handed him the tape player. "Forgot to give you this earlier. It's ready for use." "Your timing is perfect, Bolt," Branit said. "I was about to give Azufe another mission, and in your condition, it's best if you go with him. We don't think that you two should be seperated." "What's going on?" Bolt asked. "Let Branit talk, and we'll find out," Azufe told him. "We've got the finest monitering equipment here," Branit told them. "you know that, Azufe. All the satilites from the pre-war days are still in orbit, after all. We just can't send any more up. We've got equipment set up to recieve data from them. One satilite just picked up an energy surge coming from the Himalayas." That one startled Azufe. "The Himalayas? How are we supposed to get there in any reasonable amount of time?" "Helecopter," Branit explained. "Your assignment is currently pending approval. If it's approved, we'll get a millitary helecopter in here to transport the two of you. You'll land near where we detected the surge. Your assignment will be to figure out what's going on there and, if necessary, stop it. You'll have LT packs." "What are LT packs?" Bolt asked. "LT stands for Long-Term," Branit told him. "LT packs contain several days worth of supplies and long-range communicators in addition to the standard equipment." Just then, Branit's cell phone rang. Branit looked at the number on the display. "It's them," he said. "Now we'll find out if you have the assignment, if someone else has it, or if it's been voted against putting someone on it." ------------------------------------------------------- OOC: Solo, you get to decide if they get the assignment or not. Obviously, the assignment would lead to them discovering the UNA, which is a big part of the plot, so it's your decision. I just thought I'd provide a way to get them there, because you said that they can't be saftly transported while in the base, or something like that.
-
David looked at Hope. "You've really seen this thing before?" She nodded. "Yes." He turned to Jack. "You still got that Master Ball?" Jack showed it to him. "Good. Don't let anyone take it." David then turned to Zaleon. "I'd like to know where you sent that man, and if you could bring him back. He needs to be taked into custody. He uses Dark Balls, which are highly illegal and have a controlling effect on the Pokemon that they're used to catch. Pokemon inside Dark Balls aren't themselves anymore. Also, do you think you could tell me what the significance of the words Fate, Harmony, Hope, Respect, Doom, and Time are on that pillar? Oh, and just what happened to the city?"
-
"What's that supposed to mean?" David wondered. "You're supposed to be the smart one," Hope said. "Yeah, well, that doesn't mean I can figure out those words. Fate, Harmony, Hope, Respect, Doom, and Time. Probably some kind of riddle, but not enough to figure anything out." David turned to Jon. "Do you know anything?" "Jake wants something that he thinks can be found here," Jon replied. "He told me it was the three Regi Pokemon, but they've already been discovered." David nodded. "He's a liar, that one. He's worse than you know. You've only just met him. Consider yourself lucky that he doesn't have anything against you. He's a nasty one." David walks over to the pillar. "These other markings probably mean those same words. Look around. There are probably other things like this around. We need to find all of them before we can figure out what's going on."
-
Siire and Hawkmon entered the station. They found themselves in a huge room with several branching corridors and one large opening at the other side. "This is way too big to fit inside that thing," Hawkmon observed. "We're in a tesserect," Siire said. "A what?" Siire laughed. "That's exactly what the characters in the book said. A tesserect is something that exists in multiple dimensions. We can't precieve any of the extra dimensons, the effect being that the station looks a lot smaller on the outside. To get through this on, we need to go straight through that big opening up ahead." The two of them walked through it and into another large room. This one had only one other entrance/exit, and it was oppisite the one Siire and Hawkmon used. There were two raised platforms in the middle, and some kind of glass-like substance was in pieces on the floor everywhere. Siire walked up to the platforms. "They're supposed to be here," he said. "The demons should be here, encased by the glass-like stuff. But they're not. Where are they?" Suddenly, Siire was lifted off the ground by Sylphimon as a familiar-looking dark cloud passed under him. Sylphimon dropped Siire, who quickly turned around to face Mephismon. "You again!" "Correct. This time, there will be no escape." "Wrong," Siire said. "Sylphimon can take you." Mephismon laughed. "Not two-on-one." Something grabed Siire from behind and through him into one of the platforms. Siire looked, and saw a second Mephismon. "There are two of us, remember?" the first Mephismon said. "But there aren't two of you. You're all alone." It didn't take long for the two Mephismon to defeat Sylphimon. He devolved to Hawkmon and lay unconcious. Siire tried to run, but the openings sealed shut, just like in the book. One of the Mephismon grabbed him by the neck and started to squeeze. Siire woke up, and had about a second to realize he had been dreaming before he saw a large rock flying toward him. Hawkmon, who had been awake scince Galfmon chowed up, digivolved to Aquilamon and got Siire out of the way just in time. "What's going on?" Siire asked as Aquilamon put him down. "We're fighting Galfmon," Tera explained as Aquilamon digivolved to Sylphimon and joined the battle. "Mephismon survived and digivolved. Galfmon is his Mega-level form." Siire turned to BD. "If you have any more tricks up your sleave, now's the time to use them."

OOC: I'm sorry. It's a habbit. I use those words all the time, and it's hard to remember not to when I post. ---------------------------------------- I keep saying we need to find a way to block telekinesis, David thought, but nobody ever wants to spend any money on that. Oh, well. He lowered his mental block. Hope, I know you're listening like you always do, so don't pretend that you're not. I can't read minds like you can. I probably have the same kinds of abilities that you do, but they're certainly latent. The only sign that I even have them is a very large percentage of accurate guesses. I have no way of knowing what Jon or anyone else thinks, so I have to go by actions and attitude. Those both indicate that Jon is with Jake, and he can't proove that he's not. I had no reason to believe that he was telling the truth, so I acted as though he wasn't. You told me that he was, and I know that I can trust you. Hope sent. I wasn't. I thought you'd know that, but I guess I'm better at mental blocking than I thought. I heard something and stopped to figure out what it was. It turned out to be one of those Surock Pokemon. I was running to catch up with everyone. I assume you can tell that that's the truth? So, can I come down now?

Seuneu flew to the meeting point. He used his dragon form for the simple reason that it was his fastest. When he spotted Lily and Charisma, he landed by them and transformed into his human form, enjoying Charisma's expression. "Never seen that before, have you?" he remarked. "You're the new one, I take it. Charisma, right?" The air warrior nodded. "Yes, I'm Charisma." "Name's Seuneu." He turned to Lily. "Haven't seen you in a while. Otsuyu's not here yet, I take it?" Lily shook her head. "Nope." Seuneu sighed. "Why is she always the last one to show up?"

I like Anubis in Zone of the Enders: The Second Runner. I'm referring to the battle in compressed space (orange stuff). Anubis is a giant mech (Orbital Frame) piloted by Nohman, a complete psycho. It's a very challenging battle, and although Anubis' constant teleporting away from you gets old after a while, it's a very enjoyaable fight.
-
"Give me one reason to believe you," David said. "I have no reason to trust you, and you seem to hate me, so I'll need proof. I've heard the 'I'm just pretending to be with them' line before. It's been bull**** every time. So unless you have proof, I have to assume that you're lieing." "I don't have any proof, but I am telling the truth," Jon replied. "Bull****. If you don't have proof, then I have to assume that you're with Jake, no matter what you say. Now, I think you need to be taught a lesson." "And what lesson would that be?" "That being the Champion doesn't give you any right to push me or anyone else around. You won a tournament. It's a big tournament, true, but it's still just a tournament. You're so sure of yourself because you won it, but there's always someone better than you. If I had decided to enter, I think I would have kicked your *****. It'll be even easier now. "When's the last time you had an actual battle, Jon? When's the last time you went up against someone just as skilled as you? Do you even think that there can be anyone as skilled as you, Mr. Champion? I battled a former Pokemon Champion once. He kept saying that I couldn't win, because 'It's impossible to be better than the Champion'. He really believed it, too. He actually believed that it's impossible to beat the Champion. Almost went insane when I won. The match was strictly off the record, so only those who he or I have told know, but that doesn't change the fact that it happened. And I've kept training my Pokemon and honeing my skills. I haven't stopped. You probably have, and with that Mew of yours, you probably haven't needed to train anyways. But I'm not going to be taken down so easily. In fact, I don't think that your Mew will cause me any problems." "I'm not here to fight, David." "I'm not falling for that, Jon. You're going to have to go through me to get any farther that where you're standing right now." "I don't want to battle you." "That's bull****, and you know it. I'm ready for you, Jon. The question is: are you ready for me?"
