If it's David who said that, then you'll have to choose someone else, because David would never suggest waiting in a situation like this. ----------------------------------------- David: We can't wait. Don't worry. Your injuries won't affect you that much. You might feel some pain, but that's all. We need to move. Malsek: Why? David: I've transfered my program to everyone's digivices, including yours. All our digimon can now reach Meag. Now, Mephistomon can't know about the program, but he saw me do something to make Guilmon X digivolve to Mega, and he's doubtlessly figured out that the other Digimon can now reach Meag. Now, we're going to the place where I think whatever made him as powerful as his is is located. Malsek: What's that got to do with the Digimon? David: Mephistomon can't take on the Mega forms of all our Digimon at once. I think he wants this thing to make him stronger. I don't believe that that can be done, but we can't take the risk. Besides, we'll have our hands full already. We don't ned him there, too. We need to get there now. Everyone, follow me.

Damian: (Laughs) You really don't know anything about all of this, do you? How do you expect to win if you don't know what you're doing? Especially now that Angel and I have some more help. Oh, and by the way, Ryoka caught me off guard. I didn't expect someone who knew how to fight back. Austin: Bullsh*t! Damian: Oh? Then how have I survived this long? I've never used a gun, so I need some other kind of weapon. I found these, and I learned how to use them. They're my weapons. they're what i kill with. I haven't lost a single fight yet, and I don't think I ever will. Austin: I don't believe you. Damian: Then prove it. Fight me. I'll even give you a pole to use. So are you willing, or are you going to be a chicken?

Damian: You need more than help. Help isn?t enough to save you. You need experiance. But you don?t seem to have any. Nor does your Digimon friend. If you don?t leave, I can promise that both you and your Digimon will be killed. Austin: I don?t think so. Damian: We just saw that your Digimon can?t fight worth ****. Do you think you can do any better? Austin: What do you mean? Damian: You and me, one-on-one. I?ll even give you one of my poles. (Pause) What?s the matter? Don?t think you can handle me? that?s too bad. I was hopeing I could have some fun. Well, how about you other dumba**es? Anyone want to try me?

Damian: What the hell is this? Ryoma: Looks like your friends are running. Damian: I don't run. (He starts to back towards the alley where he was hideing earlier) Even if it's just two of us against you, I don't run. Besides, it'll be fun this way. Keith: Looks like you're trying to get away to me. Damian: So? Looks are often decieving. (He stops as he's about to enter the alley and picks up a pair of metal poles) for example, I always have a weapon or two nearby, even if you can't see one. Ryoma: And what good do you think those will be against a Digimon? Damian: Who said anything about Digimon? RedGreymon, keep the Digimon busy while I deal with these dumba**es here. (To Keith and Ryoma) Let's see how tough you are.

Was it the Gate Gaurdian? In the anime, it had three seperate attack numbers, but it only has one in the card game, which I believe is 3200.

Damian: It looks like there won't be any real fun here after all. You guys are outmatched. But I like a challenge, so I'll give you a few seconds to run before RedGreymon and I kill you. Can't speak for the others, but I'll do it. Ryoma: We're not running. Damian: Then I guess I won't get to have any fun. Nisha: What kind of person [i]are[/i] you? Damian: The kind who has to kill at least once a month just to survive. The kind who has to steal just to get some food. The kind who doesn't care about anything, because I'd be dead if I did. The kind who consideres killing a part of my life. And don't think you can make me feel bad about it. I don't feel. So say goodbye, because you won't live for more then a few seconds.

Damian: We'll fight you. But don't count on winning, Mr. Cocky Little ****. You'll be lucky if you make it out of here alive.

Damian: (Thinking) Well, that confirms it. I'm definately supposed to help her and this new guy. (Out loud) It would seem that I'm not needed here, but I don't think I'm going anywhere. My question's been answered, though. I know who's on the same side as me now. Siaga: Yeah? Who? Damian: Well, definately this new guy, and since he helped you, I'm assuming you, too. Asla, you and whoever's with the Agumon might want to leave before we kill you.

(Damian and BlackAgumon watch from a nearby alley. Nobody has seen them) Damian: (Thinking) Well, well, well. It looks like there's a battle going on here. That Siaga's definately going to lose without help. But is it her I should help, or the others? Probably her. Those Kuwagamon are never very nice. I could be wrong, though. Well, there's only one way to find out. (Out loud) Let's go introduce ourselves. (The two of them step out of the alley and into view. the battle stops as everyone looks at the new arrivals) Hello. Siaga: Who are you? Damian: My name's Damian, and this is my partner, BlackAgumon. BlackAgumon(BA): Hello. Damian: I've got a question. Who's on which side here?

David: Don't worry, though. You'll be fine. Injuries here are different then in our world. I think it has something to do with the data-based nature of this world, but I'm not sure. (He gives Angel her digivice and begins transferring the program to Malsek's) Basically, even severe injuries like broken bones have a much lesser impact here then in our world. They tend to heal faster, too. That's why a Digimon can take a beating and still fight just as well, and how Digimon can be perfectly fine by the time there's another fight. Angel: This is all very interesting, but when are we going to get moving? David: Just a second... there. (He hands Malsek's digivice to Katt, who puts it back where she found it as David puts his laptop in his backpack, and puts his backpack on) Now we just have to wake Malsek up.

Feuer: We'll work on figuring out what we need to do once we cross over. For now, we need to focus on crossing over. (They enter a large chamber. The chamber is featureless except for a device in the middle: The Aegis. It is a large cylinder(sp?) that extends from the floor of the chamber to the ceiling. At eye level are five circles, the same colors as the spheres, evenly spaced around it) For those who don't remember what to do, find your color and put your hand on it. (They all do so. After a few seconds, the cylinder starts to glow. There is a bright flash, and the cylinder returns to its dormant state) Welcome home.

David: Well, the obvious answer is that we're supposed to take down Mephistomon, so that's out. Angel: What's that supposed to mean? David: The real problem is [i]never[/i] that obvious. No, Mephistomon's not the real problem. Whatever made him that powerful is. That's what we've really got to take out. Katt: And just how do we do that? David: Give me your digivice. I want to transfer the program I used to get Guilmon X to Mega to your digivice, so that you can use it. (Katt gives it to him, and he attaches it to his laptop and begins transferring the program) Whatever it is that increased Mephistomon's power will be tough to take out, but probably even harder to find. I've had to search for some unknown energy source before, and it was in a different world. This one's probably in that same world. Angel: How do we get there? David: Portals to that world can't just be opened. Certain conditions must be present to get there. Fortunately, there's a point not too far from here. (He returns Katt's digivice to her, and takes Angel's, attaching it to his laptop and transferring the program) We'll have to walk a ways, but it shouldn't take too long. Someone go get Malsek's digivice. When I'm done with Angel's, I'll want to transfer the program to his, too.

My favorite is, hands down, Secret of Mana. Why? I just like the way it plays. I prefer real-time battles over turn-based combat, so that's a plus. There's good weapon variety, the puzzles are actually solvable without a guide(unlike some games I've played), some great boss battles, and some truely funny moments, too(you get shot out of a cannon as a means of travel, which I find quite funny). If you haven't played this game, then give it a try(if you can get your hands on it, which will probably be difficult, as it's an SNES game). I can't wait to play Sword of Mana for GBA.

(David watches the battle, but he's not really paying attention. Instead, he's thinking) David: (Thinking) Why were we chosen to fight this threat? Why us? Especially, why Malsek and Katt? This is not a threat I'd expect new people to be introduced with. So why? (He hears a loud slam and looks up. Megidramon X is on the ground, with Mephistomon standing over him) Oh, ****! (Suddenly, Mephistomon dissapears) What the hell? (Mephistomon is in an area where there is nothing but darkness around him) Mephistomon: Why have you brought me here? I could have finished them off. Voice: That is not true. The battle would have been lost. Mephistomon: How could they have possibly won? Voice: Through your error. You fought the digimon, ignoring the humans. The humans must be your primary targets. Mephistomon: The humans? Why? Voice: Because their Digimon partners are useless without them. The Digimon draw power from the humans. WIthout the humans, they are nothing. Mephistomon: I understand. I will not make that mistake again. Voice: Once is enough. One of them used a program to cause his partner to digivolve to Mega. He will surely give that program to the others. You are not yet ready to fight the Mega forms of their Digimon partners at the same time. Mephistomon: Then what should I do? Voice: It is time to complete the process. You must come to the source. Mephistomon: Why can't you just take me there like you bring me here? Voice: Because the Source is in a different world. In the digital world, there is only one spot you can be sent to. Only specialized portals can open to the world where the Source is. You will be directed to the location of one. Mephistomon: Understood. (He appears in a mountainous area of the digital world)

I think the changes work, personally. Of course, I really just want to read the new parts, but it's nice that I have a chance to refresh my memory before I do.

Feuer: Not yet. I think these spheres have something to do with it, but I'm not sure. Of course, we're not going to learn anything until we cross over. (Feuer concentrates, and the pile of snow melts, revealing an entrance to an underground passageway. He leads the others into it. The passageway is lit by an unknown source, but aside from that, looks like what one would expect from an underground passageway. Eventually, the five of them come to a junction. On the wall between the two paths is a white circle) Himani: Which way do we go? Feuer: This is just like the path on the other side. Don't you remember? (Himani shakes her head) Well, there will be a total of four junctions. One of you will need to determine which way to go at each of them. Who is indicated by the color of the circle between the two paths. For this one, it's you, Himani. Himani: Why don't you have one? Feuer: I did my part already. I revealed the entrance. Anyways, you need to concentrate. You should feel a pull toward one of the paths. Choose that one. (Pause) I don't know how the Messenger and his companion managed to get to The Aegis, unless... (he shakes his head) no. Aarde: What? Feuer: Nothing. Himani, which way do we go? ----------------------------------- OOC: Three things. One, it doesn't matter which way you choose when it's your character's turn. Two, the colors that indicate which character chooses are the same as the sphere colors(remember that Feuer does [i]not[/i] determine a direction). And three, the Messenger is the person who found the Aegis and returned with the spheres.

(David is totally immersed in what he's doing, and is unaware of what's happening in the battle. His digivice is attached to his laptop, and he's transferring the program he finished earlier into it) David: (To himself) Come on. Come on... yes! Finished! (He disconnects his digivice, stands up, and turns aroud, seeing Kitsuninemon and Mephistomon fighting, Katt and Icemon unconcious, and Malsek and Patamon behind a tree) I was sure out of it. Malsek: David, can you do something? David: Hopefully. WarGrowlmon X, I think it's time we see if this program of mine works. (He holds out his digivice, which starts to glow. WarGrowlmon X begins glowing, too) Yes! It's working! WarGrowlmon X digivolve to: Megidramon X Angel: Not bad. Malsek: How did you do that? David: I'll explain later. You try to wake up Katt and Icemon. Angel, how tough is that Digimon? Angel: I don't know. I've never seen Kitsuninemon before today. She's doing pretty good, though. Mephistomon: Only because I have let her. I have been waiting to see what you would do to try and defeat me. Now I know. David: Why are you so sure of yourself? Mephistomon: Because I have no reason not to be. I know my power. You don't. I have been holding back, because I wanted to see how you would try to stop me. Now I know that you don't have any real surprises for me. David: I don't know what would surprise you, if none of this does. Mephistomon: What would surprise me is if you actually were able to put up a fight. You won't, however. David: We'll just see about that. ---------------------------------- OOC: Just so this is clear, we are [i]not[/i] going to win this battle. The reason will be revealed soon after. However, I need to end this battle in a certain way for what I have planned to work, so when you post, make sure that Mephistomon is winning the battle, but don't end it.

OOC: Two things, Ohkami. First, these people all know each other(They always work togeather). Second, they don't have any family(I'll explain why later on in the story). However, if you want Mizu to have developed relationships durring her time on Earth, that's okay. --------------------------------- Feuer: Can't you two ever get along? Malheleco: Not when she plays that thing. Feuer: Haven't you learned by now that we can't fight each other? You two can work togeather fine when we're in danger, so why can't you get along when we're not in any danger? Malheleco: Because she doesn't play the da** instrument when we're in danger. Feuer: Deal with it. We can't be fighting each other ever. Success depends on how well we can work togeather. Malheleco: As long as she doesn't play that thing when we have to work togeather, I'm fine. Feuer: (Sighs, then shakes his head) (Pause) I hope the others get here soon. I have a feeling that this is urgent.

David: Don't celebrate just yet. We've still got more work to do. Malsek: Who are we going up against? David: I don't know, but I've got a feeling that we're about to find out. (The unknown Digimon lands in front of them) Katt: What is that thing? David: I've seen that form before. That Digimon is a particularly nasty one called Mephistomon. It's an Ultimate-level Digimon, but it's power is closer to that of the average Mega. It took two Ultimates to bring down the one I helped fight-I've worked with others in this world-and it was still very difficult. Mephistomon: All that you have said is true for this form's standard capabilities, but my powers are far beyond that. David: We'll just have to see about that. Guilmon X, do it. Guilmon X digivolve to: Growlmon X Growlmon X digivolve to: WarGrowlmon X WarGrowlmon X: Atomic Blaster! (He fires an energy blast at Mephistomon. Mephistomon fires a black energy beam from his hand, canceling out WarGrowlmon X's attack and sending him flying backwards several yards) H... how... Mephistomon: You do not need to know the source of my power. You only need to know that I can easily defeat you. None of you will survive. (David quickly spins around and sits, immedeatly going to work on his laptop) David: Keep him busy for a minute! I might be able to get us out of this!

David: Looks like Katt made it okay. Malsek: You know her? David: Yep. One of the few people at school who?s never made fun of me because of my autism. I bet she?s suprised to see me here. (Katt runs over to David as the Digimon finish up with Phantomon and the remaining Bakemon) Katt: David, what the hell is going on here? David: Well, hello to you too. I?ll give you the quick version while the Digimon finish things up here. (He explains the same thinks to her that he did to Malsek, then turns toward the battle. Only Phantomon is left) WarGrowlmon X, pull out and devolve! (WarGrowlmon X stops fighting, devolves to Guilmon X, and runs over to David) Angel: What [i]are[/i] you doing? David: Letting the new people get some experiance. I?ve got a feeling they?ll need it. (He and Guilmon X watch as the other Digimon attack Phantomon)

Damian: (Thinking) Fine. I still don?t think it will work, but I don?t have any other choice, now, do I? (Out loud) (Still sounding perfectly calm) I hope you don?t think I?ll be so easy for you to take care of. Galfmon: (Laughs) And why not? Damian(Still sounding perfecly calm): Because you?re so much of an idiot that I could tell you how I plan to survive, and you wouldn?t do a da** thing about it. Everything that we?ve done is because of your screw-ups. You could have elimenated us several times, and yet we?re still here. You didn?t try to get rid of us until now. You even [i]helped[/i] us. And intentionally helping your enemies is about the most idiotic thing possible. (Thinking) That should piss him off. Whatever?s about to happen will undoubtably be more likely to succeed if anger is clouding his thoughts. And it better work, because if it doesn?t, we?re all dead, no matter how much of an idiot this guy is. (He begins to focus his energy and transfer it to Galfmon)

First, a story recap: [i]Hundreds of years ago, there were stories about The Aegis, a mysterious device of some kind hidden somewhere in the Arctic. Many tried to find it, but none suceeded. In time, story became legend. Eventually, even the legend faded, and The Aegis was forgotten. Until someone found it. He had left with another on a journy to the Arctic. When he returned, he told of a strange device that creates gateways to other worlds. He said that he and his partner had gone to one of these worlds, and that his partner decided to stay. He didn't remember why. He would have been locked up in the nuthouse except for two things, two pieces of evedence. The first was that he had several strange spherical artifacts, and the second was that he remembered nothing about himself-not even his name-or anything that happened before the journey. Only a few believed his story. To each of them, he gave one of the artifacts, saying that he was told to deliver them to the ones who believed him. The next morning, he was found dead. The ones how believed his story know what they have to do. They must find The Aegis and use it. They have been called to it, and they know. For they came to our world through it. They are from the world the man went to and they are guardians of their true home. They seek out disturbances and stop them before they can cause problems. But they were forced to leave when they discovered that the world's ruler was at the source of a disturbance and eliminated him. I doubt any of them have saved a boat-owner?s life. (He stops walking, and sits down by what looks like a large pile of snow) (Still thinking) Well, I?m here.
