I mean, as the pledge of allegiance is a national (state) motto, it probably shouldn't include anything religious, but to go so far as to say all that **** should be changed because it bares religious semblance is absurd. There're only two things they (the Supreme Court) need to look at, "separation of church and state", and "freedom of speech." [/color] [color=Blue] If they simply remove religious ideas from the government, and leave it at that, all problems are solved. Names of things or things people carve on statues are irrelevant, as that is clearly a form of free speech. I don't see how this can be so controversial... Someone just remind the Supreme Court of these two very simple and direct quotes written for the guiding of our country... Nobody cares if the founders of the country attempted to make "Prayer Day" or whatever. That goes against what they set forth as the absolute "rules" of government, and as such, shouldn?t happen. If a group of people wants to have a "Prayer Day", go for it. It's merely against the law to make it a national holiday, because, once again "National"="State" and must be kept separate from religion.[/color]

Well, about two nights ago I accidentally fell into a lucid dream (where you know your dreaming but you don't wake up instantly because of that knowledge) and I didn't know how to wake up. Something bad was happening (though I can't remember what, but it scared me) so I put myself into a truck and drove it into a wall and screamed "WAKE UP!" I thought it was the coolest thing, though a bit creepy if you ask me :p

That was actually pretty lame, to tell you the truth. I can't do much better, but really now, what a topic... The topic itself and the ideas that you tried to convey weren't too horrid, but I really didn't like the wording. Just figured I'd comment as no one else has.

I don't mean to be an ***... but what is it with people and these type shows? I mean every likes something different, totally acceptable, but it just seems to me that there was about twenty people that said "DBZ IS DA SHIZNIT!" and everyone said "Hey... they're cool right? I want to be like them... They like DBZ? Oh, ok then." I mean, I won't lie, that's exactly what I did. Now I realize how dumb that is, but I'm curious if that's what everyone else is doing. I mean it's Poke'mon, Digimon, Dragonball, Dragonball Z, Naruto, Yu-Gi-Oh... they're all the same thing basically. Very little variation, but as it's "the new thing" it's automatically "a-da coolness." Where's the fun in that?

I agree with both kuroinuyoukai and ? Nomad Tical ?. I mean both ideas make sense, and as in alot of things dealing with science and religion, both work together, though sometimes people don't realize it. I'm leaning more toward the scientific/biological point of view as that's the hard stuff that can be proven, but in situations I've known of, a person's hormones were screwed up, thus messing with them psychologically and thus giving them what Tical would call an "energy low?" They then went out to scream at people and attempt to kill people randomly and had plotted out how they would do it at times (which would technically make him insane but,) in Tical's view (sorry of refering to *your* point of view, but just so people know what I'm talking about) he's be trying to steal other people's energy. It's what I guess can be refered to as a "biological energy disorder". He's now on medicine and is alot better and you wouldn't know he had those problems if nobody had told you. The medicine stablizes him, giving his body the ability to restore a portion of it's natural energy. Both reasonings can coexist, as people can have more than one reason for doing things. I hope I didn't lose anyone, I have a way of doing that when I can't really find words to define what I'm trying to say... I should work on my vocabulary ^.^

I like the first part with the random thoughts because I know exactly how you feel. You shouldn't try and constrain it to a pattern, otherwise it's like a cross-linguistic poem and it loses alot of what was initially meant. I'm not one for the whole ryhme thing, so that's a minus for my critique, but otherwise it conveys a full (, yet broken) message that I'm nearly totally sure most people won't get, so it multiplies the emotion from it. It's very artistic, and I appreciate a little difference from the generic "poets." The humor is an added bonus, I suppose.

I'm actually quite dissapointed that nobody would have been interested in a Mechassault type RP. That would've been fun, but it seems to me the idea stays the same and the name changes and everyone's back in, so either way. James has a good idea going, it sounds like a real console game from what I'm getting from it. As for what you originally posted, Illusion, I despise the idea of "a good versus evil" thing. Nobody just says "Alright, I'm evil." Everyone thinks what they're doing is "for the best", if it is or isn't is irrelevant, people always try and do what they think is right. For a gangster that kills someone because they killed his friend, he still thinks it's the right thing to do, though in the majority of society's moral values, it's totally wrong. (Sorry about that, I just feel it's really important to the feel of an RPG not to have "good" and "evil". Perhaps extremists and not so much, but never good versus evil.) Anyway, if the site can keep me active this time (I'm really trying) then I'd totally be for a collaborate Mech RPG of James and yourself.

I want an ava of 2-d and I don't really care what the banner is as long as it has "D.A.R.E." in red (blood-like, but not creepy... hmmm... well just sort of smeared downward I guess). I would do it myself but all the pictures I try and resize for an ava always get messed up and choppy/blurry and all I've got to work with is paint.

...wow. This has come as a great shock. I'm not old enough to be old school, but (from reading this) I have just realized that I have been a dedicated fan of Squaresoft/Enix all my gamming life. I loved Dragon Warrior and my brothers hated me for it "It's stupid" and such. And I got Dragon Warrior Monsters for GBC. And I've always loved the Final Fantasy series and the Chronos (Cross and Trigger). I love Kingdom Hearts (though Chain of Memories is [i]wierd[/i] I still like it). I loved Secret of Mana because I played it at my eldest brothers house some years back as a demo and finally bought it when I got the money. I wanted to play Star Ocean but I can't handle those pay-to-play games. I just don't get money. So I'll be ready to assassinate whoever gave that idea to Square if they don't make some Final Fantasy's that don't cost but for the game once. Out of all of those I knew only Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy were Square games... interesting... Am I allowed to be an old school Square fan now? :animesmil

I was looking around the Arena and I've found that the backgrounds of posts add alot to the feel you get from it and the first impression you get from it. Does anyone know how to do it more specifically than "Use the table cells to divide it"? I know a little about html and I know [i]what[/i] a cell/table is. I just don't really understand any thing else about it.

I vote we send them a gameboy with Tetris and after a week of making them play it on and off ask them if they feel like hurting some of the d*mn shapes, heh. But really that's rediculous. To me, I play exessively violent games only when I'm pissed so I kill the creatures instead of the people I'm pissed at. Forgive my spelling too, I'm not good at it, heh.
