Blade, I'm suspicious that 'your review' isn't actually yours. Your post was weird, saying you're excited about this game, but you've played it already? Anyway, I haven't heard much information about this game, it's not getting many big articles in magazines, just small boxes of information. I don't think there is a link between Ryu in DOA3 and Ryu in Ninja Gaiden, but who knows? Isnt the hero in Shenmue II called Ryu too?

Well, I've seen online videos of people playing it, and there doesn't seem to be much lag on te gameplay at all. There is a minimum connection speed that you need to run Live(600k I think), but this is just from a dull piece of information from my internet supplier, asking me if I was interested in the service.

It was released for PS2? First I've heard of it. I strongly doubtit's the best game on the X Box, I think you've exaggerated it a bit there, but in your opinion, it could be. I've never been a fan of games like this. Rainbox Six bored my stupid, and my demo of Ghost Recon is now gathering dust. Still, graphics wise, a good game, and I've heard good things about it's difficulty.

You don't even really need to think about it...it's factual. The X Box 2 won't be released for at least another 3 years, so stop worrying about it! In a few years, when technology has evolved a bit more, they will probably start discussing the ideas for a new, more powerful console, but until then, this conversation is a bit pointless, and it's turning into rambling. Who knows, with all this war business, we could all be dead within a few years O_O

When I was younger (can't remember exactly when) I was balancing along the side of this Koy Carp Pond, which was directly infront of a busy hotel, which was well known for it's VIP guests etc. So, there I was, balancing along, and my foot went, an my leg went into this pond, and everyone lauhed at me. I went bright red, and ran off. Now, you think that's pretty bad...as I was running off, I feel over a tree trunk and fell flat on my face. That was very embarrassing!

Yes, the 'spy outfitted' Sam Fisher is very cool. Have anby of you seen the special footage on the game, about how everything was created. It's very interesting, especially when they tell you how Sam's suit was designed. There's even a little interview with the man himself, Sam Fisher! It's very cool, a bit strange though!

Gaming Im not sure whether to get Dead to Rights
Bing replied to Tommy Vercetti's topic in Noosphere
Well, Dead to Rights was actually released beofre it's expected date, so I guess if they had taken more time, they could have cleared up the glitches, and dodgy effects that I've heard of. Has anyone played it yet? -
Well, I've read that Legolas is the best character in the game, and I'm sure that there is some type of reward for finishing the game, like an extra character. How cool would it be if you could play as...Gollum! Dude, that would rock. Anyway, I don't know about the truth of that rumour, but that would be very cool also. I've seen reviews and trailers, and there is a cleve blend where film turns into game throughout the whole game, to keep you up to detail with the story. A very good idea.

PDO looks very pleasing. I may get that, or Shenmue II, becuase they are both great games, some of the best ones we will see in 2003. I agree Vercetti, price attracts me a lot, because I feel if a game is like, £8 (like Dark Summit was) even if it's crap, it's stil la game, and if it provides you with a bit of gaming, it's worth it. I mean, you pay just under half of that for a two night rental!

Well, what I meant was, it rarely takes longer than 5 minutes to knock out your opponent, as I don't find them that challenging. If I was going to by a beat em up, I'd be buying DOA:3, if I was going to buy a gory game, I would be buying House of the Dead III

I'm stuck on a level, the CIA headquarters. It's very hard. This X Box Live content sounds good, but I don't think that everythnig should be X Box compatible, because this leaves gamers without Broadband a bit short of it all really. I've heard there are extra character skins, a 'casual' Sam Fisher, and much, much more due to be available over X Box Live.

At Christmas, I had the choice between all 3 of the leading consoles. I shose X Box because of it's power, it's price, and the fact that it's got 4 controller ports. PS2 only had 2, which I still find dissappointing, especially as they charge you to buy a multitap. Let's face it, the PS2 is going to be popular for a long time, until the PS3 is released, mainly becuase of games like GTA being exclusive to them (well, excusing PC's here). Just one last point, many X Box exclusives go to the PC, because they are made by Microsoft, a huge PC corporation, so console wise, they are still exclusive.

Gaming Im not sure whether to get Dead to Rights
Bing replied to Tommy Vercetti's topic in Noosphere
I agree, never buy a game just for the sub games, very pointless. I think this game will be successful for recent X Box buys, people buying now will be attracted to it, because it has a good front cover! I guess that does attract people, and I think that for fans of Max Payne style game, it's a must, but it's just not for me. I prefer Stealth with some action! -
Yeh, in The Two Towers, you get to play as Aragan, Gimli and Legolas *shreeks like a girl*. There's someone else too, but I've forgotten who, I think it may be Frodo. Expect LOTS more action in The Two Towers, and a lot more excitment, in the form of fighting and adventuring. Much like the two films really, Two Towers was a lot more action packed than The Fellowship.

Gaming What X-Box game are you anticipating for the most in 2003 and why?
Bing replied to BigCajones's topic in Noosphere
Not playing moderator, but please read over your posts Vercetti, some of that was very poor, and it lowers the quality of this thread. Anyway, Shenmue II looks very good, and long. I think Substance is a must for anyone who doesn't own SoL. It's a very good game, and I think the graphics are fine, the rain effects on the tanker are more annoying than lacking detail. -
Well, I can't say this game looks fascinating. The graphics seem impressive, and I like them idea of realistic bruising and broken limbs etc. but, as with most beat em ups, bouts rarely last longer than 5 minutes, so these effects won't really be noticed, especially by me, playing on my 14" television.
-
Yeh...o.k. Cajones, whatever you say. Heh, I played it in a shop too, and I think it's quite a good game now I've played it for a bit, but I still feel it's way overrated, and it's 'kiddy' appearance is the kind of thing that would of attracted me a few years ago...like Rayman did on the PSX
-
No, I haven't seen any screens from the new levels yet, can you post some? I gues the new leve lis a great idea, but where will it fit in with the rest of the game?
-
Well, I think that even if your Nintendo warranty has rn out, you should try the store that you bought it from. Go in there, and kick up a fuss saying you didn't pay however many dollars for the system to randomley screw up. See what they will do about it. And, if all else fails, buy an X Box!
-
Yeh, I guess it will grow on you over time, I just fail to see the point of 2D games on such a powerful system. I don't think there's much room for it. As for Hitman 2, you should get it, it's a quality game, and it's quite long as well. As I said before, don't get Substance if you've got SoL...exactly the same! Controls are also a bit dodgy, and the VR Missions are nothing special.
-
Well, when I got home from school, I found my copy of Substance lying on my doorstep. It's pretty impressive, but it's basically Sons of Liberty with some nice little extras! I hate to break it to you Cajones, but Hitman 2 isn't a FPS. It's worth a try, even if you just rent it!

Yeh, o.k, X Box moment, but the Jeep thing features through the whole of Halo. Yes, Fable and PDO are looking up to be spectacular games, and they are working them to be just right by the looks of it. Videos containing the best parts of a game are often released a few weeks before it's release, to rise sales, but I'm sure PDO won't need much help there. It's gonna be a big one!
-
Yeh, I suppose, but I always find games where you use stealth tactics etc. to be a lot more realistic, though not always as fun. The Plasma Rifle is cool as well, I mean, it's alien, but it's cool, and in the end, it's better than nothing! (or the Needler)
-
I like the 'I'm Broken' track. It just has an amazing guitar riff in it, sounds kinda similar to Audioslave's 'Cochise' in a way. Anyway, they've always been a bit too heavy for me, but I've heard a few tracks, and I like what I hear.

I don't know the meaning of Blase, but I think it's something to do with relaxing, as it's the name of a bar near me. In my life, I like watching movies, and playing my X Box. Grant (BigCajones)makes my life a lot better sometimes, because even at the stressiest of times (tests etc.) he will laugh. I guess jokes make my life better too. I love hanging out with friends, and going on journeys, and I love my free weekends, when I go do fun stuff!
