1. Instead of a volatile group, we now have a volatile, baby-protecting pack of ferocious people. Considering two of them are mothers, sounds like there'll be hell. No pun intended.
2. ?Tis time, my dear. ?Tis time to come to realization. Juliet groaned as the voice whispered lightly into her ears. She had no intention of waking up to a hanging voice. Juliet my dear, ?tis time to open thine eyes. Apparently it heard her. Slowly, she opened her eyes only to see a smoothened ceiling. She sat up slowly and looked around, taking in the environment. It felt familiar to her yet distant, as if she?d been there before many years ago. She shrugged off the feeling and swung her legs to the edges of the couch, letting them touch the cold, hardwood floor. Before she could take in even more, her eyes darted to a glinting clear bottle that laid sideways on a coffee table. Juliet leaned over and grabbed it by the neck, bringing it closer to her for better inspection. She looked over the bottle carefully, again feeling that familiarity. Even before she read the name, she knew what she was holding from the faint smell of alcohol. ?Wyborowa. Polish vodka.? Juliet sighed and closed her eyes as she set the bottle back onto the table. She now knew where she was and a cold chill ran over her body. ?Clearly the greatest thing on Earth.? You remember, then? Your memory serves you well, my dear. Of course she remembered. It was the first time she had dropped her guard in many years. Juliet pulled her legs up onto the couch and hugged them, laying her head on her knees. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath in, taking in the Polish vodka...and smoke and a hint of muskiness. She couldn?t help but smile just a bit. Remembrance of old days, is it not? Juliet was about to respond but she was cut off. But sadly, my dear, something terrible runs in your world. Stories are fading, my dear. Change is a beast that devours everything in its path, causing endless things to fade, to disappear. Where the bottle of Wyborowa was, an open old rusty book took its place. Juliet put her feet down and leaned over to read the contents but the book shut itself. On the front cover were the twelve Zodiac signs arranged in circle with the mysterious thirteenth in the middle. Juliet knew her dreams were prophetic but to her, this clearly meant something else. The book wasn?t subliminal; it was a clear and defined message that only she and twelve others would understand. Alas not, Juliet dear. Three of the thirteen only have understanding. The others all have not been weaned of their powers; they know not what dreams mean. But there is not time to explain. ?Tis time to wake up now, Juliet. Wake up... Juliet?s eyes were sinking deeper and deeper into sleep, she tried to fight it but something was pulling her to slumber. She was powerless against it and the hanging voice was fading but the words were being echoed... + + + + + ?Umma, wake up. Umma. Wake up!? Juliet opened her eyes abruptly to find her son hanging above her with a concerned look. Her son stood straight outside of the open door and allowed his mother to get out. She cleared her throat and swung her purse over her shoulders. She smiled to her son and patted him on his chest as he covered the both of them under an umbrella. She breathed in deeply as the two walked towards a grey building in the rain, passing by a large metallic sign with the words ?Harlem Academy? engraved on it. OOC: Heh, those from G&C 1 should know what Harlem Academy?s all about. I thought I?d put it in here just for old time?s sake. =P
3. Ragdollized...heh heh. Another elegant but active read; made me laugh when Alex was head-bagged. Oh and I probably would do something like that, look up from a book while people are doing whoever-the-hell-people-worship-knows-what. Can't wait for the next installment.
4. Of course our dear Vicky would include 'goats' into anything. =P She is, after all, our lovely Space Goat. ^_^ But the one thing I can't stop laughing at is:
“Who dares to interrupt our proceedings? Wait, no. I don’t care. There are penalties for this sort of thing!”
Dagger makes us sound like we're a bunch of lazy people just throwing penalties around. XD...wait...that came out wrong. >
5.
And here I was stupidly worried you weren't going to keep this up. :animesmil
As was I. But the poor darling did her best. I'm just glad to see that she's feeling slightly better. =]
6. Random selectioning chosen from a book of the Bible.
7. XD That's crazy talk. Yes, nothing really much to say except another meaningless post for the sake of non-doubleposting.
8. Raiha, you silly temptress. What would we do without you? Oh and on another note, I edited my powers. Vicky, if they're a bit leaning towards god-mode, I'll tone it down.
9.
So I take it the space kitties are going to be staying with us a while longer then ? Well so long as they're both neutered and house-broken, I don't see any problem. :animesmil
I'll have you know that space kitties are well trained so long as you don't piss us off. =P
10. Eh, like the others this is a 'for the sake of no double-posting' as well as: For a short battle, that was pretty intense. At least it didn't drag on like most battles do in stories. Aww but poor Galactic space kitten...
11. Well lookee here...if I'd known better, I'd say you just turned me into some killing-machine cat-girl! =P And how did I not see that Iki would be the calmer of the two? I'm really hoping to see a show-down between Raiha and Eriju.
12. I'm so glad I came upon this again. It soothes my rampant, overloaded mind. Though, I wonder who Iki's partner could be...*wonders* Anywho, can't wait to read more of this stuff, D. =]
13. 50 years ago The room was cold and dimly lit, as interrogation rooms always were. A woman in her mid 20s sat in the room staring at the double-sided mirror. Her posture and expression said she was used to scenarios like the one she was in. It stated that interrogations were nothing more than routine in her life. She merely sat with crossed arms and didn’t bother to look at the detective, even when she was asked a question. “You’re pretty familiar with all of this, aren’t you, Ms. Han?” The woman didn’t say anything. The detective chuckled and continued. “Let’s take a look at your sheet. Juliet Han. Date of Birth: November 30. Age: Twenty-Four.” A whistle escaped as he skimmed the papers before him. Before the detective could say anything, Juliet said with monotonous tone, “Yes, I’ve been in trouble a fair amount of times. Yes I’ve seen the inside of a cell on more counts than anyone else. And yes, I really did do all of that.” With an irritated sigh, Juliet added, “And I already you told everything about what happened that night.” The detective cleared his throat and went on to ask, “Then what can you tell me...” He pulled out security photos of Juliet in the Harlem Academy. “About this?” It wasn’t the fact that Juliet was caught on camera. It didn’t faze her that the security camera caught her walking around Harlem Academy. She was more stunned to see that it caught her using her powers. But she tried not to let it surface. “I can tell you that it was probably the smoke during the fire.” “Smoke doesn’t create snake-like figures and they certainly don’t wrap around a person...like that,” He pointed out as he pointed at Juliet and her snakes. “So cut the crap and tell me what really went on.” At this point, Juliet locked gaze with the detective. Her eyes pierced something fierce into his, slowly placing darkness into them. It was a tactic she picked up from a friend, and a resourceful one at that. The detective gulped and tried to break the gaze but couldn’t. Juliet’s eyes started to turn dark and yellow slits replaced her pupils. She stood up slowly and shadows crept from every corner of the room, blocking whatever light seeped through. When all was done, Juliet was still standing but the detective looked around dumbly, not remember what he had been doing. With a hidden smirk, Juliet simply said, “If I’m not actually being charged for anything, I’ll be on my way.” + + + + + Present A woman stood in front of a window holding her elbows in her hands. She sighed as she looked out, watching the children play. She watched with envious eyes, knowing she couldn’t live as carelessly as they anymore. “It’s been fifty years now. Since that bastard came into our lives.” Somehow, anger didn’t flush over her as it should have, instead darkness exuded from her hands as Juliet clenched them into fists. A hand touched her shoulder and the familiar scent of her son comforted her. Juliet smiled softly and moved away from the window. She seated herself on the couch and listened to the curtains closing. She sat, staring into the blank television screen, looking at the reflection before her. “Fifty goddamn years and what do I get for it? Looking not a day over 25? Always looking over my shoulder?” Her son sat beside her and put a hand over hers. “You get a son, mom,” He replied. Fifty years passed and never once had Juliet shed a tear. She was the same as she was fifty years ago: two opposite personalities inhabiting one being. One was powerful, professional, authoritative, and collected; the other was adventurous, thrill-seeking, daring, and wild. Though she possesses these personalities, the years have toned her down. Albeit, her powers grew to exponential heights. Shadows came crawling from the darkest corners of the house, wrapping themselves around Juliet’s body. She looked into the television, only to see glowing silver eyes and nothing more. Without so much as a thought, the shadows dispersed and returned to their respectful places. Juliet sighed and knew that she didn’t rely on instinct to control her powers. Her son put his hand on her shoulder again, giving silent comfort. He knew the weight she carried and he knew the burdens that came with it. She had powers beyond anyone’s imaginations and once in her lifetime, she had used them to destroy. Now, with honed powers, who knows what she would use them for. Juliet’s zodiac is Ophiuchus [the snake holder] and to explain Juliet’s powers better, think of Raven from Teen Titans. If you don't know who Raven is then, Wikipedia her. Now then, Juliet's power revolves around dark matter and shadows. She's able to manipulate it into the forms of snakes and use them for many different resources: telekinesis, defensive forces [armour, shields, etc], offensive forces [weapons, blasts, etc], teleportation/walking through objects, suffocation of either a powers or their powers, empathy [conjuring dark emotions onto a person], and possesses soul representation in the form of a large cobra. The downside to all of this is that her powers eat away her emotions and suppresses it; it leaves her emotionless. She can feel small bits of emotions but nothing drastic. She also goes through blind periods when she uses too much of her powers and has no recollection of what happened when she wakes up. And when under dire stress, a darker Juliet emerges, wreaking havoc. 14. Of course, Vicky, you'd be only one who'd do that. =P As for the idea, I think we've got it covered. And as far as time travel goes, so long as no one abuses that, then I think we're good. Hopefully, this time, we get a good group and nothing goes astray. Not that I'm saying, we've got a terrible group right now or that the first G&C group was terrible either. Just saying that, we want things to be interesting, yeah?
15. Hey kinblade 3.5 and welcome to the OtakuBoards. I'd just like to say that this thread has been moved to the Manga Workshop as you'll be writing anime-related stories. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to PM me. Also if you haven't already be sure to read the Rules and FAQ as they'll help you out during your time here. - Revelation.
16. Oh dear. I feel awfully terrible. I said I'd help out and yet I haven't done anything to help. I have this habit of sorting going AWOL on things. I've been trying not to but I guess old habits die hard.
17. Anyways, back to what was once known as the Underground for "In Which Stuff Happens." So referring to Gavin's post about teams. Yeah I have no idea when I said that but sure why not? =P Clearly it seems like we need to reorganize the teams or whatever. Perhaps after our first mission. Or maybe D' has an idea?
18. Tetra should be glad that this wasn't a face-to-face confrontation. That'd be the biggest mistake of her life, his life, whatever. You know, I was about to say something about that post but I think D covered it all.
19. A word of advice to YawnBoy: LONGER POSTS. The grammar and actions you have in your posts are great, just that they need to be longer. Bring out more expression and more action. In fact, LONGER POSTS would be great from everyone. Not that I'm picking on anyone. Okey, I am. I'm picking on all of you. XD And, I'm really hoping that YawnBoy did not just mix up Mreelsa for Nazani. That's a big no-no. Nazani is not the sex-mongering character that Mreelsa is. No offense to Raiha.
20. “Eh...I have a few...things to finish back at the store. Yes, there are still some things to be done. I’ll meet you later.” Nazani looked at her so-called cousin and felt her stomach turn as she watched her play with her ‘property.’ “In fact, several hours later.” “Suit yourself, cousin.” With a giggle Mreelsa lightly traced her hand down Rel’s cheek. “At least I won’t be interrupted then.” Rel chuckled nervously as Mreelsa licked her lips. When she began to follow after the satyr, he looked to Nazani and mouthed the words ‘Please save me.’ Before the turn at the end of the hall, Mreelsa turned her head and beckoned Rel to follow. Nazani shook her head as she returned to the tavern lobby. Before her eyes was a chaotic mass of Void-knows-what pawing at what appeared to be a werewolf. She then looked to its side and found the once-sleeping cat-man that was straddling the cat-girl now on top of one of the barmaids who, in turn, was spilt over the demon ninja and the vulgar cat-demon. With her head hung to her chest, Nazani slumped into a barstool and before she could even raise a finger, the tavern master had already served her a mug of strong ale. She thanked her and began to drink away. Living in Nalinae had its quaintness and its normalness, but what she saw in the tavern was something she couldn’t even put into words. Simply put, it was chaos. There were many things Nazani didn’t understand. There were many things that seemed understandable yet somehow managed to become incomprehensible and by the name of Void, she had no idea why. She had no idea why she ended up in Nalinae and why it was the center of all things troublesome or why these troublesome things seemed to find a way to her. It seemed Cymantic enough yet at the same time, it didn’t. Nazani sighed and lifted her mug in the air- indicating she needed another drink- before she finished off what was left in her mug. With a deep inhale, Nazani closed her eyes and drank away her second drink, like the world around her was collapsing. In fact, it seemed to be that way. Earlier a sylph had tried to mangle a human thief but later on claimed him as her property which helped to feed the emotion-feeding cat-demon, a demon ninja who seemed too quiet for his own good, and several anthrophages who were all a bit cheeky. Things seemed to be a bit misshapen. Nazani looked into the bottom of her mug and mumbled, “Surely things can’t get any worse than now.” She scoffed hoping she was right and drank the last bit of ale in her mug before leaving. As she headed towards the door, she couldn’t help but chuckle. Though things seemed to be crazy, it was surely a sight to behold. Most nights people waited for others to make a full of themselves but tonight was a night where fools were presented with a spot light. Nazani exhaled lightly as she reached out to push the swinging door, until a boisterous bunch of people slammed it towards her and caused it to hit her. She stumbled backwards with her hands holding her nose. Muffled shouts of expletives started to pour from Nazani’s mouth. In all her years she had never felt anything so painful as getting hit in the nose and she had felt all different kinds of pain. She bent her head and pulled her hands away from her nose. Nazani gasped as she stared at the red liquid that tainted her peach-toned fingertips. Her eyes widened when she touched the liquid stream that fell from her nose. Slightly shaking, Nazani turned to the group, “Well aren’t we just an arrogant little bunch?” The group had settled their laughing and looked confusingly at Nazani who was advancing slowly. “Don’t you think it’s a bit rude to just go and seat yourselves after you’ve hit someone?” Amongst the group of young and daft-looking people was a demon who looked to her and said chuckling, “I don’ know what you’re talkin’ ‘bout but we ne’er hit anyone. I think you’re just gettin’ old ‘nd delusional.” Nazani stopped before the table. Her fingers began to slowly roll up into a first. She couldn’t believe what this boy had said. If anything Nazani was just getting to her prime and for another, it wasn’t delusion that brought her to his table; blood was the presentable evidence. This boy was not well-mannered, albeit she didn’t expect much from a half-breed. “Listen, we ne’er did anythin’ wrong. So g’on and let my pals and me have a drink or somethin’. Besides, shouldn’t you be at home with your cats?” As if a switch had been turned on, Nazani unclenched her fists. With one swift movement she grabbed the demon boy by the collar and threw him through the swinging doors. She gave one quick glare to his friends and watched them quiver. She returned her attention back to this generic demon. Along with his horrible table manners, he was also a poor excuse for a demon. Though he had Balrog-like features, his face was contorted into an orcish figure and his forehead protruded three horns. A demon he may be, but he was not as majestic as a full-bred one and his speech would concur with that. “What in the name o’ Void was that for?” The demon yelped as he coughed. “You’re clearly not the sharpest knife in the cabinet, a’ you?” The demon stood himself up as he pointed a finger at Nazani, who was smirking a terrible smile. As if accepting a challenge, the demon boy puffed his chest up. With confidence he said, “Fine, if that’s way this is goin’ to happen, I guess I’ll just have to go out in a blaze of glory.” “No, no that won’t do. You see, I save that for people who are truly worthy of it. No, no. I have something more suitable for you.” “Listen lady, I don’t what the hell you’re talkin’ ‘bout but you’re really startin’ to sound like you’re one brick short of a full load!” The audience gasped and murmured, backing away as they did. Nazani’s smirk grew into a deviant smile. If this boy kept defying the first law, then by the next sunrise he’d be rid of all things Cymantic.
21. I'll take that offer. It'll be one hell of Cymantic death.
22. ?I?m sorry but I think you?ve got the wrong person.? The sylph giggled as she turned to Nazani and put a hand on her shoulder. ?Silly girl, I think I?d remember the person who nearly blew up Aunt Iridium?s wedding cake.? Nazani cocked a brow and mumbled, ?I swear I would?ve remembered if I?d had a Sylph for a cousin or even blowing up someone?s cake. At least...I think I would have.? Nazani plopped herself down in midair as a chair formed beneath her. She sat in the chair with furrowed brows and a slightly gaped mouth, her fingers tapping her knee. Nothing was registering, especially not the commotion that occurred in the tavern. ?Nalinae?s gone mad now.? Nazani sighed and turned to the tavernmaster, holding up a finger. ?Give me the strongest, Kilora.? She looked back at the sight of things and was completely astounded. ?First there were five, now there?s six. An emotion-feeding vampire, a man with the power of teleportation, two anthropes in an attempt to grope each other, and a boy who was lusted by a sylph who claims to be my cousin within the last five minutes.? The tavernmaster set down a glass of vodka and Nazani downed in seconds. She sent the glass back and received another, only to drink it down just as fast as the first. After her fourth glass, Nazani tapped the sylph on the shoulder. ?I?m sorry to interrupt your lusting act, but who are you exactly??
23. From the comforts of her store, Nazani Yerazig watched as new visitors filed in one after another into her hometown of Nalinae. She sighed as she turned away from the window and carried on with her daily routine- cleaning, arranging, and organizing. Nalinae wasn’t a grand town like their sister city, Kendrid but it was still a fair place. Nazani wondered why people were pouring over to her side of the world; perhaps it was a matter of Cymantics. Nazani sighed again and watched her golems take form and begin work. She could see that she wasn’t needed and headed over to the pub across from her. As soon as she opened the door, a Sylph had grabbed one of the local thieves by the neck and thrown him onto a table, now pointing a stiletto at the man’s crotch. Nazani stood with crossed arms and a smirk across her face as she looked the mercenary over. This person had immense power and a strong aura to match, almost as strong as her own. It was quite interesting, if not comical. As Nazani kept staring at this woman, she received a cold chill through her body. She had a strange feeling she had seen this woman before yet before she could figure out how or why, her thoughts were interrupted. When she looked up, she could see that it came from a cat-man who sat a little ways from the Sylph and the thief. She raised a brow and realized there were more than two unfamiliar faces in the tavern. There was a clumsy-looking catgirl sitting near the doorway opposite of her and a wolf-eared man sprawled across some chairs. It seemed that Nalinae was soon becoming an interesting town. Nazani chuckled to herself and walked towards the Sylph to put a stop to whatever harm she was going to give the boy. She stood beside the two with her hands on her hips and looked at the boy with a raised brow. He looked up at her with pleading eyes filled with fear. “You really should stop this nasty habit of pocket-picking, my dear boy, or you’ll end up in a situation you can’t get out of.” Nazani snickered as she pointed out the near-castration. The boy began to stutter words but was silenced by the stiletto and by Nazani. “Oh you poor thing, you have no idea what you’ve gotten yourself into, have you?” Nazani straightened herself and wrapped the Sylph in a gust of wind, binding her with air currents. She looked at the mess the two had created and snapped her fingers, watching the table become whole again. With a satisfied smile, Nazani turned to the Sylph and again something about her sent chills down her body. OOC: Changed my appearances.

Korean Movies

I'd add something to what Lunox said, but I think she handled it. KOREA FTW! XD Okey, so on a more serious note, The Classic is indeed a classic. It's unlike the other stories and it's quite adorable; I am in love with that movie. It's right next to A Millionaire's First Love. [FYI: Hyun Bin is absolutely to die for!] I haven't seen My Sassy Girl but I've heard it's quite good. However, as far as the remake goes, there's going to be several many Korean who are going to be judging it. They'll be looking for plot holes, difference in character personalities, and just about everything. But that's my personal opinion. As far as recommendations go, I'd have to agree with Lunox and say watch Old Boy and Sympathy For Lady Vengeance. Some other recommendations is: Tree In Heaven, Stairway Of Heaven, Autumn's Tale, Piano, My Name Is Kim SamSoon and several others. Oh and if you’re looking to watch some Korean horror, there’s Into The Mirror, The Doll Master, Ouija Board, and Wishing Stairs. If you’d like more recommendations, I’d be happy to provide them.
