1. ?Is that the... best you?ve got?? Lyrra taunted him through heaving breaths as she watched a rib being thrown to the ground. ?The infusion of?yoma blood was worse?than this.? She gurgled bouts of laughter as Melech ripped inside her, tainting whatever amount of humanity was left. Lyrra was in pain, no doubt, but however much pain she was in, she took as pleasure and Melech saw this on her face. Even as she winced, he could see that she enjoyed this. Oddly enough, he was aroused yet annoyed by her defiance. Melech licked his lips as he gripped around another rib, this time he slowly pulled it. He wanted the pain to echo through her entire body. Lyrra wouldn?t allow that to happen and withheld every inch of her body from shaking. But as she kept her body from shaking, more blood spilt from her mouth and open wound. She knew she was losing blood quickly but the more dangerous factor was she wouldn?t be able to withhold her yoki much longer. She had to take action now before she lost herself. Lyrra slowed her breathing as she looked around her. The tendrils that kept her from escaping were wound tight around her ankles and wrists, while the feral hand was deep within her. It didn?t matter to her what sort of situation she was in at the moment, all that mattered was finishing the job. She didn?t care if she destroyed her entire body; if she went down, she was taking the Awakened Beings with her. While Melech licked Lyrra?s blood off of his hand, she quickly changed her form to that of a smaller size and wriggled her way out of Circe?s grips to the ground. Circe?s feathers raced after her but Lyrra managed to evade them, somehow. Once she was near her claymore, Lyrra released most of her yoki and tried to heal the large opening on her stomach. But as she did, she realized she?d gone over the limit. She couldn?t suppress it. Circe and Melech watched in earnest as they watched their little toy succumb to the awakening. They could feel the power within her rise to the heavens. Though she wasn?t as strong as the two Awakened Ones in her Claymore form, her power had said otherwise. It was near equal if not, equal to that of the two who stood watching over her, wondering what form she?d take. As Lyrra felt a rush of yoki escape her, she could feel herself transforming. She dropped to her knees and gripped the snow, knowing this was her last moment as a human. She tried repressing the release as much as she could, but perhaps her lust was too strong. ?This can?t be happening. I can?t let them win. I won?t become a monster. I?d die first before allowing them to win. I won?t become a monster!? As the words echoed through the mountains, a burst of energy followed after. Dust and mist covered the spot where Lyrra was. With eyes full of desire, they waited as the mist and dust cleared only to be puzzled by what was in front of them. There, in a half-awakened form on the ground, was Lyrra with feathered wings and elongated, feline ears. Circe purred, ?Well, at least she half-awakened.? She inched closer, still purring and watching, ?Still an ugly thing.? Chuckling, Melech replied, ?I can change that.? But before either of them could take a step further, Lyrra leapt from her spot in the snow. Wielding her claymore, she swung it down and managed to cut off Melech?s hand. Blood splattered to the ground as he held his hand. She smirked as she flicked the blood off of her sword. She turned her head to look to Circe and with one quick movement she managed to get near the flying humanoid beast. In that split second, Lyrra stared at this beautiful creature that was before her. Her illustrious wings beat in a rhythm that matched Lyrra?s. In the next second, the two were weaving in and out of the other?s attack, trying to land a blow. Circe?s wings turned to blades that tried to pierce Lyrra who, in turn, raced all around her trying evading her blades. But it was futile as Lyrra was nowhere near this Awakened Claymore?s power. She stood on air as she took out the black card from her claymore handle. ?To kill a monster, I have to become a monster.? Is that what it?s come down to?? Lyrra scoffed at the thought. She looked to the sky gripping the black card and watched the falling snow. ?Forgive me, Miria. I never meant to break my promise. It?s selfish of me to do this but I have to. I?m sorry.? As she looked to the sky, Lyrra released the last of her yoki. With that final release, Lyrra?s body began to change. Her silver eyes began to change to amber cat eyes and her body twisted and turned into that of a lion?s. Circe waited for the final awakening and watched as this caterpillar emerged from its cocoon into a butterfly. The purr of a tiger escaped the booming throat of Lyrra as she stood on all fours. With a powerful push, she leapt into the air, pounding her black wings against the cold wind. Below her laid the black card, renouncing her position as Number Six of the Forty-Seven Claymore.
2. Lyrra struggled to keep herself from going over the edge but at the same time, she struggled to break free from Circe?s bonds. She could feel herself nearing the edge; it was delicious and orgasmic but she knew she couldn?t succumb to it. Her eyes focused on Circe?s third eye that kept a watchful gaze on her. She knew of the devilish tortures that many had gone through with Riful and Dauf, the two who dwelled in the Western Territory. It was a way to create an army of Awakened Claymore so that Riful could overtake the Northern Territory where Isley the White Silver King lived with his lover Priscilla the One-Horned Monster. As much as she loved the taste of blood and sadism as the next person, this was beyond anything she had imagined of. Torturing Claymore to awaken them. It was abominable but then again, Awakened Claymore were as abominable as the things they did. Lyrra smirked at the thought of this, only to puzzle the third eye that was watching her. Circe looked down at her with all three eyes and a tendril lifted Lyrra?s chin. ?What?s our dear little toy thinking about?? The humanoid creature tightened its grip as she pulled the limbs further and further. The Claymore groaned as she felt her legs and arms being pulled. But as much as it hurt, it felt pleasurable and Circe could see this. ?You are quite the disturbing one, aren?t you?? Lyrra chuckled as she felt a tinge of blood seep into her mouth. She licked the corner, tasting her own yoma/human blood. ?However disturbing I am, I?m not a disgusting, horrendous monster like you.? The Claymore winced in pain as a blade pierced her in the shoulder. She looked to her left and found Melech?s blade protruding from her shoulder joint. He snickered as he slowly pulled it out, its serrated blade piercing and cutting more as he did. Lyrra couldn?t allow herself to scream in pain but instead she looked to her torturers with a raised brow of defiance. ?C?mon, Claymore. Scream. I want to hear that beautiful voice of yours. Writhe in pain, you weak creature.? Another blade pierced her right shoulder. Lyrra bit her tongue and felt more blood fill in her mouth. She couldn?t give the Awakened Ones the pleasure of knowing they?ve hurt her. Instead of screaming, she did the opposite and smiled with laughter. ?If you think that?ll get me to scream, you?re pathetic.? With that, she spat blood as she lowered her head to look at Melech. ?If you?re going to torture me, you?re going to have to do better than that. You overgrown cat.?
3. To the other judges and to the writers, I apologize for my overly late judgment. External factors have disabled me from giving the two stories a proper read and a proper judgment. However, I’m here now and ready to judge. Now then, let’s get on with the judging. The End of the Beginning: This story didn’t pull me in as I hoped it would in the beginning. I found that the first paragraph was a bit of a mouthful to read and it didn’t flow well. It sounded choppy and felt like bits and pieces were just stuck together to create that paragraph. There were also some parts in the story that did that as well. Now, I’m not sure if it was a writing technique to add to the effect of the story, but that’s just how I saw it. Going towards the end, I couldn’t help but notice that there were vague points in the story. There wasn’t much detail about the place Lareth was taken to or about the things that were there. It felt bland and didn’t give me much imagery to work with. Now, as far as character analysis goes, Lareth was a static character. He didn’t show any signs of change in his personality or mentality, which made it difficult for me to connect with him. I understand that this was an abridged version of your story, but Lareth could have grown positively or negatively within that period. Not only that, you could have also added to his character by going in-depth about his suspicions of the rain and how people choose to ignore the disappearing people as if it were an everyday thing. Overall, the imagery of your story was fabulous- a bit wordy but still good. You did well with the interactions of emotion and to show how Lareth acted during certain events. The ending was good as well, what with the explanation of the in-between realm and the zombie-like people who live there. I was pleased to find that there weren’t any voids within the story and if there were, you filled it in a way that brings the story back together. Alpha And Omega: This story, in contrast to Beth’s, was more Sci-Fi. It gave me a sense of setting and plot. However, I felt that the story may have been a bit too stereotypical Sci-Fi. It didn’t detract anything but it may have overpowered the story a bit and in a way made it seem like a TV show; which isn’t bad, mind you. Just that, for me, it started to fall away from the human imagination and more into On a more conventional note, your grammar wasn’t half-bad. There were a few mistakes, but none that made your story seem unreadable or drastically appalling to look at. I did notice, though, that your paragraphs were very wordy. In a few of them, it seemed like you were detailing about almost everything and I had to re-read a few times. It’s good to have detail and florid writing, but too much of it can detract from what you really want to say. I really enjoyed the plot of your story. It had a lot of character interaction, which was different from Beth’s story. It really put a perspective on what kind of person your main character was and how he would react in certain situations. It goes well for him becoming a dynamic character, making the readers grow and shrink as he grows and shrinks throughout the story. Overall, Alpha and Omega was a wonderful piece to read, granted I had to re-read a few paragraphs to understand what was going on. But it was interesting and it gave me back that want to watch Sci-Fi shows all over again. I also enjoyed the scientific names you’ve put into the story. It really made it seem more realistic. Conclusion: After thoroughly reading and picking apart your stories, I enjoyed both of your stories. Both did have their mistakes but they were surely overlooked when other factors were put in. However, I can’t choose both as a winner so I’m going to have to go with BK. I found that he brought more of the sci-fi genre to life and although The End of the Beginning had sci-fi material, it was more Fantasy in my POV. So, BK’s Alpha and Omega gets my vote. Again, I really apologize for this long-awaited and extremely late post. Shun me, stone me, whatever. I really do apologize.
4. Name- Dancing Lyrra Current Ranking- 6 Symbol- Ankh Fighting Type- Offensive Abilities- By increasing her agility and speed, Lyrra has the ability to create multiple of herself that mimic her actions seconds after she had done them, making it appear like a dance. With this, she also has the ability to attack with the power of nearly five Claymores. She’s also capable of shape shifting, enabling her to become accommodated to any sort of situation or area. Personality- Lyrra, more than anything, is a proud Claymore. She believes in only her strength and abilities, which is why she does not use her yoki. To her, attachment and reliance is a sign of weakness; albeit, she understands the concept of teamwork and cooperation. She appears to be a quiet and soft-spoken girl, yet when she speaks her words are like daggers. Because of this, Lyrra comes off as coldhearted and apathetic. Though her pride is strong, it wasn’t what consumes her in the heat of battle. Lyrra has an insatiable hunger to fight that’s fueled by her aggression, bloodlust, and sadomasochism. To add to the troubling traits, she is one of the most reckless Claymore that loves to use suicide tactics, torturing and destroying her enemies all the while wearing a pleasuring smile in her eyes. Appearance- Like all Claymore, Lyrra is a gorgeous creature with silver eyes and waist-long platinum blonde hair. She prefers to keep her hair tied in a ponytail bangs falling to one side of her face. Her uniform consists of a black shirt and pants that allow her to shape shift with ease. Over this she wears the armor given to all Claymore. Along with that, she wields a large claymore that has her symbol embedded into it. Biography- Lyrra wasn’t like the rest of the Claymore who lost their family to Yoma. She was already an orphan who had no recollection of her past, only holding bits and pieces that made their way to the surface. People avoided her like the plague, unknowing of what she’d been through and only that she had survived a Yoma attack. A young couple who was filled with sympathy for her pain took her in. Few months later, the killing spree had started up again. This time, it wasn’t just once a week, it had become at least four times. These monsters they called Yoma sent bloodshed to the streets and threw mangled bodies like rag dolls, feeding off of their brains and organs. The family she thought had died appeared during the Yoma attack- they were the ones leading the blood pillage. All the times Lyrra had found herself watching the monsters feed upon human after human wasn’t a product of her night terrors as she assumed. What she saw was a product of reality, something she suppressed into the deep recesses of her mind until that dreadful night. Not a moment later, a pair of beautiful women appeared in the Town Center, wielding a large sword. They were called Claymore, a species of half-yoma and half-human. The people have always said that Claymore were the only ones who could kill demons for only a monster could kill another monster. But it wasn’t how Lyrra saw it. To her, these silver-eyed women were angelic warriors sent by the heavens with only one missions: to cleanse the earth of the Yoma. This was what Lyrra wanted to be, a Claymore. When the man-in-black from the organization came to collect the fees, Lyrra followed him until the Town exit. She only requested one thing of him and that was to make her a Claymore. Once taken in by the Organization in Sutafu, Lyrra wasn’t concerned for her well-being or her will to live any longer. She was plagued by the thought of destroying the very things that destroyed her soul- Yoma. She went through her training with only that mindset and it began to seep into her personality and actions. She became a bloodthirsty hound hell-bent on killing by any means necessary. Ultimate Agenda- Become #1 Claymore; destroy the Awakened Beings. Lyrra’s Level- 8 Allies- N/A. Yes, finally done with my sign-up. I really should stop procrastinating. -_-
5. The Tales of the Otori by Lian Hearn was a good series for me [even though I haven't read the last two books XP]. It's based around a boy named Takeo and a few other characters in the feudal Japan era. If you're looking for suspense, magic realism, and the like- I think you'll like the series. Then there's The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold, which is a book revolved around a young girl and her death and how it affects her family and friends. It's also a book based around magic realism. I found it a wonderful, darling book. I can't really think of any other ones at the moment, but I'll let you know when I do figure it out.
6.
I've just been sitting here, waiting for a go. Anytime you want, ma'am. :animesmil
As have I. I'll have work off from Monday to Wedneday so send anything my way. =]
7. Personally, I think you just can't seem to get away from here, my dear. No matter how hard or how many times you try, you'll always end up writing something for the Arena. Anywho, I'm loving the concept and what's more is that I'm loving the idea of me as a judge. Oh let the ruthless hammering begin! >] *coughcough* I mean, it'd be fun being a judge and all. I really can't wait to see this go through. We needed some action and chaos around here; it's been a while.
8. Retribution and White are right; you've already got a great looking logo. However, even though I agree I chose to create a little something-something anyways. Anyways, not sure why but I'm not too fond of my "LONDON" right now. I may fix it later with a different font. In the meantime, here's this one.
9. Ratings are just another type of life's roadblocks. I have no need for them. But I will tell you how I am. As of this moment, I'm just trying to relax but I'm feeling okay. I've got a job [finally], I graduated from high school, I'll be starting college in the fall, and I went shopping three days in a row [which was stress-relieving and wonderful], and tomorrow...I'll be at the BEACH! Yeap, my life is just peachy right now. Hopefully when I go to the beach tomorrow, I can leave everything there. Hopefully.
10. A baby? That is, by far, the most unexpected thing yet! Girl, you keep pulling things out of thin air and yet...it all fits so well together. I can't wait for the next part of Hell. =]
11. Listen close to what I?m about to tell you because I choose my words carefully and I never repeat what I say. The events which I?m about to tell you are by no means items of fiction. They are as real as the heart that beats within you. Everything that I?m about to tell you will affect your past and your future. You ask how? Well, as Hamlet said before: To die, to sleep. To sleep, perchance to dream?ay, there?s the rub, for in that sleep of death what dreams may come. + + + + + ?Alright, sweetheart. Let?s do this one?more?time.? Right then and there, I wanted to break free the chains that held me down and mangle that thick neck of the man across me. But I couldn?t, could I? I was confined to an uncomfortable, dingy chair by means of handcuffs to my legs and wrists. I had to settle for digging my nails into the arms of the chair. It wasn?t so much the stench of the room that I was in that irritated me. It wasn?t he, himself, who infuriated me. It wasn?t even the fact that I was chained to this uncomfortable chair that I despised. It was calling me ?sweetheart? that made my eye twitch and gave me a desire to gut him like a deer?slowly. If not for the handcuffs, this man would?ve become my next living toy. Luckily for him, the only damage that I could do, thus far, would be with the sharpened words that fell off of my tongue. ?Look, you cretin. I?m going to say this once and only once: I hate pet names, especially Baby and Sweetheart. I have an actual name.? I watched his movements and noticed a slight change. Knowing I had peaked a small interest, I leaned back in my chair. ?And as much as I look like a street-corner whore to you right now; no amount of money in the world would make me be your sweetheart...not with that grungy coif of yours.? It must?ve been the smirk that I had on my face because the man lunged towards me with an outstretched arm but was stopped by his partner. Kwai had always told me I had my big, loud mouth to blame for all of my troubles- whether it was locked with a taken man?s lips or spewing insults and wit like it was now. I mean, after all, it was what had gotten him nearly killed. Nonetheless, my mouth was the reason I was sitting in a chair with two men- one lurking around in the shadows near the doorway and the other on the other side of the table- interrogating me. Sitting there, I couldn?t help but chuckle when I thought about Kwai and our adventures. It was what kept me from driving back to insanity and breaking my own bones just to rip apart the men in the room. As far as the interrogation went, these men who presented themselves as private investigators clearly never heard of the term ?shoot then ask questions later.? Then again, they were part of an organization in the city of Otaku. If I learned anything from my times with Kwai, you couldn?t trust anyone who was serving under Big Brother. The ?investigator? that was sitting in front of me stood and walked into the shadows. The dimly lit swinging lamp overhead wasn?t much of any help to me. I could feel their words breathing all around me and their eyes burning into my skin. It wasn?t long until the door creaked open and light flooded into the room. Once my eyes adjusted to the bright light, my eyes opened wide for the first time in a long time. Standing before me was a man I thought had died?but I was dead wrong.
12. So I was looking at the Graphic Worm and I must say it's been progressing very beautifully. It's so awesome looking. I can't wait to see the end result; although I think that won't be until a very long time.
13. A feral Raiha; who knew? You know, while I was reading this I thought that Vicky would've been the one to just go out by herself on a suicide attempt. But then again, it's always the ones who know how to disguise their craziness that tend to go on suicide attempts. And like Andrew said, it was written amazingly. I just can't believe Sella turned out to be some sort of mutated "The Faculty" alien. Well I guess I did see that coming but not as gruesome as you described her. In any case, great installment.
14. Now this is what I'm talking about. I really wasn't expecting Sella to be this strong nor did I even see the part about her just drilling her hands through Warlock. It's a really great installment. I'm excited to see the more evil rage of Raiha.
15. I'm honestly at a loss of words for this, which is rare. I was expecting a simple conclusion to the entirety of this piece, but I had a feeling you had something up your sleeve. It was a really great turn out. I expect your sequel to have more blood, more gore, hell I expect more in general. Anyways, I might do a little something-something for The Hit: Contracts. It might involve D'Ann, me and Sakura. Who knows?
16. Usually I personally ask an artist to make me a banner/avatar set but this time, I thought I'd ask the Art community of OtakuBoards. So then, without further ado, here's your task: a Jack Skellington banner/avatar set. Your goal is to create a banner/avatar set with the pictures provided below. You can create the set to your heart's desire, just as long as the banner has the words "King of the Pumpkin Patch" [without the quotation marks, mind you. Just thought I'd put in that little note in case someone did go and put those in the banner..] And I'd also like a little heart in one of the corners of the avatar. Here are the links to the pictures: Halloween Town JS 1 JS2 JS3 JS4 Or if you have a different Jack Skellington picture you had in mind and wanted to use, be my guest. Mind you, I'm not entirely picky about what I'd like to see on the banner. In my opinion, the more creative it is, the better. So be bold, be daring, be imaginative! =] Be bold, be daring, be creative. The more imaginative and creative it is, the better.

Rising Moon

As White Lotus hid behind the brushes near the waterfall, she could see from the waters that the fighting had ceased. The foreign man had taken her dear friend captive and all White Lotus could do was hide as he walked away with her over his shoulder. She vowed to never appear weak again and yet she ran and hid, only to see her friend become a slave to this man. This man knows not what he?s doing. He makes the gravest mistake of his life. I must warn Pra Chau Sua. As White Lotus? sleeves dipped themselves into the water, she closed her eyes and began to sink in with her sleeves. As soon as nearly half of her body was below the surface, her arms and sleeves fanned outwards as if she was falling. When White Lotus opened her eyes, they became a transparent white that seemed to cover her dark brown irises. The sounds of nature were silenced as she searched for any members of the Enshian Providence. Finally her eyes settled on Pra Chau Sua, the Champion of Enshian. The warrior was sitting near the river where White Lotus and Shai Guan were once at. He seemed to notice a disturbance in the water and readied himself for battle. As the disturbance grew, a figure shaped itself into that of a female. Upon closer inspection, Chau had seen that it was the Silla courtesan. Chuckling, Chau asked, ?What brings you here to the battlefield, Lady White Lotus?? He sat back on the ground and watched as White Lotus walked towards him, completely dry. ?Did the Emperor send you here as another reward?? His face was filled with some satisfaction and he leaned back onto his arms. ?I don?t see Lady Shai Guan with you; is she resting back at the Palace?? The water goddess stood at the edge of the shore but still stood on water. She held her hands together in front of her, in a demure way, with her head slightly hung. Chau stiffened his pose slightly and sat up. ?Pra Chau Sua, there is something that I must show you. It is of most urgency for I fear something grave will happen.? White Lotus turned and lifted the water to become a mirror. Pra Chau stood close to White Lotus as she touched the surface delicately. In moments, the bout between Shai and the Matsyan warrior was shown. White Lotus looked on into the mirror as she relived the memory of her friend being taken captive. Without turning to the Tiger God King, she could feel the tension in his aura and body. White Lotus let the waters fall back into its place. ?By taking Shai Guan, he becomes a lamb to the slaughter. I won?t stand for this, Tiger God King. Return Shai to Enshian and...? Finally White Lotus turned to Chau and with fury in her eyes, she said, ?destroy that man...by any means necessary.? OOC: There you go, not the best. But at least it?s a post.
18. I wouldn't be surprised if Vicky's the first to blow when Sella gets onstage. I honestly don't know what to expect in the next part. And the obvious culprit is Sella, no doubt, but something tells me otherwise. Maybe she has someone else doing her dirty work? C'mon, D. Hurry up with it! I'm getting antsier by the moment; let's get on with the fight! Did you know I had to resort to watching IFL: Underground? Actually it's a quite nice show but that's not the point. The point is that we need blood and chaos! I'm sure everyone agrees with me.
19. Okay so I suppose I can't post as quick as I thought I could [please don't kill me D. >
20. I understand what you're going through. I can't believe this happened though...I am just taken aback and just utterly surprised. Surprised is an understatement but I suppose that fits. As for advice, keep living life. It'll hurt like nothing you've ever felt but you have to move on even though you feel like you're tearing apart on the inside. I couldn't tell you from experience since I've never felt this but looking at others and from what I've heard, it really will hurt. Just try your best and live your life. If need be, you can always talk to me, Spence. Just try not to bottle it up and I'm sure you're trying not to but sometimes, unconsciously, people tend to do that. I'm sure, in time, everything will be alright.
21. You can literally hear the fire crackling behind Raiha's eyes. I wonder what'll happen next: big fight? Tell me there's going to be a big fight. I'm always up for one. In all seriousness though, this installment was more softer than the other ones. I wouldn't say it lacked anything really just had a different feel to it. Although, I think Sella came out a bit too quickly in my opinion. Maybe that's the surprise of it all though, yeah? I'll be expecting fights and blood and chaos! Not anytime soon but hopefully you'll put it in. =P
22. I've already sent you [Aaryanna_Mom] a PM about the banner polling and in regards to the Otakupedia/Newspaper dilemma, I wonder if Charles would be up for combining the two. I mean, it'd be less of a hassle for both Charles and Mom, as well as an advantage to the two. Initially both would be controlling their own element but helping each other at the same time. Charles would be getting his worth of articles by adding in topics that people haven't suggested, as well as adding in new information about old articles he has in the Otakupedia and Mom would be creating her newspaper with the topics she's chosen or the members helping out with the newspaper have chosen. It's really a win-win, I think.

White Lotus sat with her back against the head of the bed, sipping the cup of rice wine. She leaned over to refresh the heavy breathing champion and kissed him gently on the neck. Once Pra Chau Sua was finished with the wine, White Lotus lifted her head and looked to her friend. Shai Guan looked back with leering eyes and licked her lips as her gaze dropped to Chau, who was moving one hand from her wrists to her shoulders. With the other he lifted himself halfway up and once he was in a comfortable position, he pushed Shai down onto the bed. She smiled as sweetly as she could and leaned up to press her lips against his. Setting the cup down, White Lotus moved her robe off of her shoulders and let it fall to her hips, revealing porcelain skin. Chau turned to gaze at her and watched as her delicate fingers wrapped around his shoulder muscles, releasing them from tension. White Lotus moved her hands to his back and slowly massaged her way to his stomach, kissing and gently biting the battle scars on his back. Shai Guan diverted his gaze back to her and dug her tongue into his mouth again. As White Lotus and Shai Guan were releasing the suppressed tension locked within Chau, a messenger shouted from behind the doors of the quarters. Shai began to stand to deal with the interrupter but White Lotus laid a hand on her shoulder. The two women began to dress themselves as properly as they could but without any concern. The messenger was allowed in and he immediately averted his eyes to the ground as he knelt before the three. Agitated, Shai Guan addressed the messenger, ?I presume you come with news worthy enough to disrupt our evening?? ?A massacre has risen in one of the villages. Lord Chau is needed in battle.? As Chau gathered his effects, Shai wrapped an arm around his neck and the other around his waist, while White Lotus lazily looked on. She wasn?t nearly in the mood for a sexual encounter as Shai was. She closed her eyes and heard the light moans escaping from Shai?s mouth and the footsteps to follow. ?Men and their battles.? Shai sat onto the bed and felt White Lotus? magical fingers sliding across her chest, just above her breasts. She took a cup of rice wine into her hand and sighed. ?It truly is a pity that Master Chau had to leave us quickly. I was looking forward to seeing him tame the hungry tigress.? White Lotus took back the cup and refilled it, sipping it herself this time. ?But I suppose it was for the best. This Matsya warrior would prove to be quite a challenge, perhaps even an enjoyment for our champion. I?m curious to see what he truly is- a man or a god??
25. With a pile of clothes in their arms and wings, Michael and Falcomon gleefully walked over towards another store when Enzeru stepped in front of them. She had her hands in her jacket pocket as she stared at the two with jaded eyes. In sudden fright, Falcomon dropped the clothes onto the ground while Michael looked over his with a frown on his face and an open mouth, only to be wiped clean by Enzeru?s abrupt words. ?If you have even half the brain that most people have, you?d do well with your time to find some useful things, Michael, instead of picking up unnecessary items.? As Enzeru pushed past Michael, she stopped and said, ?There?s a time and place for everything, even fun and games. Except,? She turned and shot darts of frustration from her eyes, ?I?ve no time for childish games like yours nor does anyone else. So grow up.? With a loud sigh, Falcomon followed after his partner. Enzeru was already halfway across the mall when Falcomon landed beside her and walked with her in silence. As the two walked, she suddenly stumbled onto an accessory store. For a moment Enzeru became dazzled by a necklace in the window display but shook her head and walked on. Falcomon looked at Enzeru then to the item she was fascinated by yet he followed after his partner, instead of walking into the store and grabbing it for her. ?You should apologize to him, Angel.? Falcomon stopped with his wings on his hips. As if it were rehearsed, Enzeru turned and faced her digimon partner with arms crossed and replied, ?And exactly what should I apologize for?? ?For being so mean! You didn?t need to be so mean, y?know?? Enzeru found it almost humorous how Falcomon was defending Michael. ?Is that what you call being blunt nowadays: being mean? Well...then I guess it?s not my fault if he couldn?t handle my being ?mean?.? ?And I guess it?s not my fault you couldn?t handle my wanting to look good.? Falcomon turned to see Michael and Ryuudamon standing with the pile of clothes. Enzeru scoffed and rolled her eyes at the sight of the two. Michael returned the expression with a smirk on his face.
