JAG (I forgot her name, but she's Harm's partner. I think she's hawt!)
The character's name is Sarah Mackenzie. The actress is Catherine Bell. And yes, she's VERY hot.
Can we start a TV discussion now? I'm ****ing obsessed with television, being a tv writer would make the happiest little delusional college student ever.
Actually, probably not. Technically, there's a forum for that if we go for a full discussion. But on an NCIS related side-note, I think anyone who has seen the show has a soft spot for Abby. You pretty much have to (and it doesn't hurt that she's insanely cute). That said, getting home from work and not being tired when you need to wake up in 5 hours SUCKS. How the hell am I supposed to wake up in 5 hours if I can't even go to sleep?!
Moments like these that make me glad all I watch on TV is MMA, G4, and NCIS... Edit: Ok, I've just been informed this is from Twilight...so i shall rephrase...ahem... Moments like these that make me glad I don't watch crappy movies.
The fact that NCIS is on your list is awesome, though I don't watch the other two. NCIS has one of the greatest bunch of characters ever. Better than J.A.G., which I loved (and the actors have better chemistry overall than they did on J.A.G.)
I'm sorry, but I don't think I'll be telling them. If I DO end up telling them, the story is going to be that I slipped going down the stairs and fell on my knee funny. I WILL NOT be taken out of Karate over a stupid little knee injury.:animeangr
Hey, no one said you actually had to tell them the truth. I don't normally encourage lying, but the whole concept of forcing you to leave karate because you got hurt is pretty silly to begin with. It's like the parents who won't let their kids play football because they might get hurt. We're all gonna hurt ourselves one way or the other, might as well be doing something we like while we're at it. That said, if the pain keeps up, you're going to need to tell them, because a doctor is going to have to have a look at it.
O_O .........Uhm...if it makes you feel better, I won't go to Thursday night workout and instead spend all Thurs.-Sun. icing it and resting it, mmmkaaay???
I know you want to avoid parents knowing and all that, but trust me, it's a good idea. I'm 24, and I've already got damaged cartilage and ligaments in both of my knees, and very rarely get through an entire day without some level of pain flaring up. And I can't afford to see a doctor about them right now (that and I'm afraid of exactly what they may tell me, as my knees haven't been examined in 4 years). The fact is that joint injuries, and especially leg injuries, can cause SEVERE issues if not handled in an intelligent manner. There are just some injuries that the body doesn't recover well from (like dislocated shoulders or kneecaps, both of which hurt like heck by the way), and it's not worth trying to ignore such injuries before they can recover as best as your body is capable of, or you'll pay for it pretty badly later.
Granted, this does beg the question that regardless of using a cell phone and despite how many members here are, basically, saying; 'Ooooohhhh my god, like, texting on the cell phone and calling people while driving is SOOOOOOOO idiotic!' how many of them eat, drink, mess with their radio stations, or do other things while driving. It's not just cell phones that can take your attention away.
I'll admit I'm guilty on eating, but I don't put my food down, so there's no reason to look away from the road. I only drink at stop lights/signs. And my father got me in the habit of memorizing the exact setup of any vehicle I own, so I can actually adjust my radio stations and heat controls without looking at my radio (and I'm tall enough to reach my radio without moving in my seat). I do pull over to use GPS when I need to though. And the only time I go after something I dropped is if it's rolling around underneath my feet, as having anything rolling around underneath your feet while you're driving is dangerous as hell,
Yep. I call and text and mess around on my phone when I drive. Who cares? If I get into a wreck, I get into a wreck. I'll deal with it when it happens but so far I've stayed on the road and paid enough attention.
The problem there is that if you've gotten in a wreck, chances are decent someone else is part of it, and they may not have been doin' a thing wrong. That said, I do not text while driving, ever. I didn't when I lived in PA, and I certainly don't in AZ (as they apparently passed a law 2 or 3 years ago making it illegal). Just seems stupid. I have been known to talk on the phone, but I do not own a stickshift. Plan on making my next car one, and then I'll make sure to start remembering my Bluetooth headset, because driving a stick while talking on the phone is just plain stupid (and scary as hell for the passengers, as I've learned, having been in the car when both my father and brother have done it).

I leave mine on pretty much all the time, but I'm very rarely logged into anything when I get off my computer...And I almost never use my chat programs anyway, so I don't ever see that "Are you there?" crap.
Which of these does not belong.
I'm voting Will & Grace, but I don't think I've ever seen Dharma & Greg.
Uh uh, we've had that discussion here before. A hit to the nads is worse than your period. I will not yield on that.
I'm gonna yield to them on that, even being a guy. A kick to the nads hurts for like 5 minutes (though that may be my pain tolerance). They deal with it for a week to a week and a half. So I'm voting that they get the worst end of it.
KG, I like shoes...:3 And yeah I agree with Allamorph the wee bit pricey ones totally last longer. Well, in some cases...some shoes are ultra-expensive and like break ultra-easy. Depends on the bran eh.
The bran, eh? Are we buying shoes for our breakfast now?

I have none of my own pets (and prefer to keep it that way), but there's a bunch in the house. There's 7 cats and 2 dogs. Actually, I think one of the cats may be a small panther, but that's beside the point. One dog is a basset hound (Dru), and the other is part chihuahua and part Pembroke Welsh Corgi (Roody). They're both very cute, though I have a marked preference for Roody, although Dru is far more fun to play tug-of-war with, especially on the tile floors that I can drag him around on. The cats amuse me. Tamlyn is, I believe, the oldest of the cats, and also the largest, by a pretty significant margin. He's like 20 lbs. He's also an attention-whore, which is known to drive me up a wall. Tamlyn is pure jet-black, which is kinda cool. My favorite cat is Hoban Wash (named for the character in Firefly). He's just insanely cute and loveable, but apparently at some point in the past he and Tamlyn got in a fight, and now he goes running and hiding whenever Tamlyn gets near him. And he was actually named that b/c he likes to play w/ my stepbrother's dinosaur toys. We also have Dot, who is really tiny and adorable, though kinda chubby. One of her favorite things to do is to walk up to you, bump you a few times with her head, and then flop over, belly up. It's just painfully cute, and you have to pet her. We actually have two cats that are sisters, Meg and Tys (both short for other names I don't remember right now). Tys HATES Meg, and we don't know why. But Tys was the runt of her litter, so we think there may be some underlying thing with that. Tys is pretty easily scared. She doesn't want to be near anyone unless she's decided she's in a mood to get petted. But she follows Tamlyn around like an extension of his tail. Meg is just LOUD. She loves to meow for no apparent reason, and her and Tamlyn are the only cats I've ever dealt with that will sit at your feet and meow for attention instead of rubbing up against you or something like that. The last two are Tarma and Laslac (spellings may be off). Tarma is the single most cuddle-prone cat I've ever seen. She loves to get on the back of the couch so she can rub faces with you, and if I'm stretched out on the furniture, I am a bed by default. The funniest thing with her is that she apparently doesn't like people to know she plays with the cat toys. The second she realizes people can see her, she stops dead and walks away as though she wasn't doing anything at all. Laslac is the definition of a scaredy-cat. When my fiance and I first moved down here, he didn't come out from under my parents' bed for like the first month and a half. And he hdies on top of the kitchen cabinets when other people are in the house. My favorite thing about him is that he's learned to open the cabinets, and has been known to close them on the other cats, which I just can't help but find quite amusing. We also have a bunch of fish, but fish bore me.

I just finished reading the Dresden Files, a series by Jim Butcher that begins with Storm Front and currently stops at Turn Coat. I probably shouldn't say finished though, since there's more to come, but I've read all that's currently published. I also recently read the Dark Tower series by Stephen King. Awesome stuff, but a really screwed up ending if you ask me. I mean, WTF?! I haven't decided what's next on my list to read. Might read Butcher's Codex Alera series, or start on the Wheel of Time series. Or I might re-read (for like the 4th or 5th time) the Thomas Covenant series.

Alright, I don't know if it was meant to be (and quite frankly, don't really care), but that is a damned sexy picture SaiyanPrincessX. Not sure exactly why, but I just know that it is. That is all. -
I feel overwhelmingly sexy right now because Victoria's Secret is having their Semi-Annual sale, so my mom & I had a field day & bought a ridiculous amount of lady clothing. Tuesdays are always so happy!
OK, first you post about a new bikini, and now your posting about VS....And there are NO new pictures in the picture thread. Am I the only one here who somehow sees this as cruel? (Hey, bikini pictures should be allowable.) On an unrelated note, I hate people who put on speeches about being honest and taking a job seriously who then go against everything they just said and blow off a crap load of duties (or abuse their access to certain things). Makes me glad I'm not afraid to be a jerk and remember that I have certain things about myself I'm proud of, and go let people who can do something about it know. Oh, and just b/c I feel the need to say it every time I see Nerdsy's sig (I'm a smart-*** like this)... This thread is pointless. (I also figured this would be the best thread to get that out of my system w/o starting a riot.)

Beyond saying how silly this entire idea seems, I'd like to point out to Raiha that Catholic Patriots are by default Christian Patriots. Not that I care much about guns in church (and if I did, it'd be an entirely different topic to begin with), but WTF kind of church promotes carrying around an instrument of such violence. I'm all for carrying weapons, to be honest, but it just seems strange for a church.

Boo, the reasons you just gave for it not being an act of terrorism would clear an awful lot of 'terrorists'. One's beliefs do not change the type of crime. To people who are fighting religious wars, their kills are right and justified. That doesn't mean they are not terrorists. They may not necessarily consider whoever they are killing murderers, but by some way of looking at their religions, the people who died deserved to die. Just because the killer may think the doctor was a murderer does not change the fact that it becomes a blatant attack against a specific group of people (namely, doctors who perform such procedures), and by every way we tend to use the word terrorism, that makes it an act of such. I do not support abortion in anything but absolute necessities (that's what adoption is for), but I cannot call this anything but an act of terrorism.
You're not alone Ace, I prefer the standard as well. Indigo, though nice looking, is just a little too dark for my tastes. And the Geisha is too purple and the other too damn pink. So Standard it is.
See, that's exactly why I like the indigo. But my eyes don't like light much, so I always prefer slightly darker color schemes (not the red text on black kind of crap I've seen on some forums, but Indigo on here is nice). Less painful (literally) to look at = very good thing.
Looks like you just said something naughty. Haha. great picture!
Which seems strangely appropriate, considering the line directly before the picture...What was he thinking....
But, the ultimate breakfast in my mind consists of eggs, bacon, and home fries. That's just good stuff right there, it's making me salivate right now just thinking about it.
That's the single most vicious post in this thread right there. I was perfectly content until I read that, and now I'm hungry for just that. To be fair, I actually regularly have eggs & bacon for breakfast, when I get up early enough to eat it. That or Honey Bunch of Oats cereal, sans milk, which is just awesome. But I definitely prefer a hot breakfast to start the day off.

I believe my eyes are bleeding from reading Mr. Maul's post. I have to work on a car in the morning and should really be in bed. Why is it that I'm never tired when I should be going to sleep? It makes the whole sleeping thing rather difficult. D&D is awesome, and I should be playing it or WoW right now. OK, I should be sleeping, but those are my two default awake options. Water is good, but only if it's cold...And now I'm gonna start rambling, so I shall stop at this point.
But how cool would it be if you could say I SURVIVED THE SWINE FLU! I mean honestly that's like bragging rights for life.
Or at least for a year or two before everyone forgets about it. The hyped-up media crap about this annoys me. Needless to say, I'm not worried. Of course, the only time I've ever had the flu was the one time I got a frickin' flu shot, and that's about the only time I've been really sick, so I figure I'm good for this one, even if I am in AZ.

I'm pretty much with Nerdsy on this one. It's just another day. Not everyone is Christian, and the fact that 3/4 of the businesses in the country just shut down for it is pretty freakin' aggravating.
