1. Nay to 1st world government, yay to the second. Why would I say that? Because the first world government is prophecised to the the dictatorship of Antichrist and that's inclusive of you must worship the guy or die, and have 666 emblazoned on your forehead or right hand. Now, the second world government will be the Kingdom of Christ, which will last forever, so, I'm all for that one. I could believe otherwise if I see a global government that will keep my freedom to worship God, and will not stop me buying or selling unless I have the mark, I somehow, don't see that happening. I don't see, with the world's climate the way it is, the achievement of a global government at the hands of anybody else but a benevolent miracle-worker, which Antichrist is. Differing opinion for you?
2.
How can you believe in all aspects of the faith, when there are many, many denominations? Catholics believe in praying to Saints, whereas Methodists believe you should only pray to Jesus. Catholics confess their sins to a priest, while Baptists confess directly to Jesus. I think I know what you mean in general, I just wanted to know what you meant specifically.
I should have been more specific in my explanation, I believe in all aspects of my faith, which is a faith derived from the protestant movement in Christianity. So it means that I do not pray to the saints to believe in offering up prayers to Mary, and like my fellow Baptists, I cofness sin directly to God, and a trusted friend. (We are encouraged in the Bible to cofness sins to one another.)
3. I hope they keep both Everybody Hates Chris and WWE Smackdown in their new-channel lineup. Two show that we get here in New Zealand form the UPN network that I really like, CW better keep them or die! (I keep thinking CW stands for Cartoon Webwork or something, am I sick? :D)
4. Is there a block on how much history you can view on the boards now? After checking out Pumpkin's thread about the history of the internet, I was interested in checking out my history with OtakuBoards and the various posts I've made in my time here, I have done this once before and have been able to view my entire history. But now, there's only 200 available posts in my history, which makes for a very sad Shinje. Umm, I'm not vain. :animeshy: I'm just curious about my activities here. Is there a setting I can change to view my entire post history? If it has indeed been constructed this way, to keep dead threads dead or soemthing like that, that's cool, just like to know.
5. It was 1995 I believe, when I first began to use the web, I didn't like it one bit because I couldn't use the thing, I foudn the comedians who would joke about it being an information super-culdesac quite amusing. Then one day I found a word which saved my achin thumbs, the simplest word you'd ever typed and this is what it was: Yahoo! Yahoo opened up the net for me, because before I found out about search engines and stuff, I thought you had to be a lucky guesser and type in web adresses to see if you got anything good out of them, and I didn't even know to put www's and .com's in that adress, so before Yahoo, the only thing I had got to come up was a Springsteen page for my aunty. I still remember my first significant download, seems so insignificant now, but i waited nearly 5 minutes for it back then, a picture of the new 1996 Holden Commodore (a car for the uninitiated, poor things you are.) I didn't know how to save the pic back then either, so I just looked at it for a while, then sadly closed the window with that little x, fearing I would never see it again.. Quite a while after that, I got into newgrounds.com and the funny flash games and cartoons, I still frequent there under my old 1998-envisioned name (see below.) After getting a new computer that could handle Java, I started visiting chatrooms, under the name seyingohan98,I changed this to saiyangohan2002 when I first joined OtakuBoards and Planet Namek (shudders) in 2002, and found out what the real spelling of Saiyan was. OtakuBoards has been my "local" hub for 3 years, I don't get into chat rooms as much now, since they keep gettign flodded all the time, so I spend a great deal of time here and on other message boards, but mostly here. In 2004 I got broadband, yup, now hte internet is very fast, and I can view OtakuBoards much more efficently than I coudl on dial-up. I still visit the Holden Commodore pic whenever I can, loads in half a second now, but, oh the memories!
6. I myself, am a comitted Christian, and I believe in all aspects of the faith. I can in one way put that down to my parents, and in a way, I can put it to myself. I was born and raised as a Catholic, however a few years ago I fell-out with the Catholic doctrines and, of a while, I grew distant, in the end, however, I foudn a church that taught all the things that I truly believe in,a nd I started going there on a regular basis, which caused some controversy in the predominantly Catholic side of my family, but they now respect my decision to cross-over, as it were. So, in a sense, I have mxed up my original faith a litle, yet, that's within the confines of Christianity itself. I can't see myself adopting any aspect of another religion into mine, since my beliefs are pretty much solid-footed.

8. Thanks, Hevn, I was feeling rather left-out until you let me know that simple little detail. Added myself if anybody cares. :p Anyway, yeah, this is a nifty little tool to help keep us all in the know about who lives where. Nice interface too.
9. Let see here, you put this Bass socket point into point A, and then link this up with a cable thingy here to a cymbal, which links to Port B, Add another cymbal to point C and direct link it up with a Cymbal which also links to point X and ZZ simluntaneously, add another cymbal or download one if fresh out....Aaaargh! When did Microsoft get into making drum kits?
10. Except it leave out us non-Americans. :( It furthers my conspiracy that the internet was intended to be an exclusive American-only club, and the rest of the world got only got online by being lucky by 'accidentally finding it.'
11. Centre band member: Do we have to hold this sword any longer? It's cutting through my hands. Production Manager: But, that sword is only a plastic prop! you guys getting soft on me?
12. So, a whale strands itself in the Thames and dies, this is an example of how we're destroying the planet? I don't think a realisation how much the sea is the "lungs of the earth" would have done anything to stop the whale swimming up the Thames to it's demise. Whales beach all the time. Had there been a few hundred whales in there, I might have gone "damn, now the world is getting screwed over." Anyway, I reckon they should gift the remains to the Japanese, they're gagging for a good supply of whale meat right now.
13. Write a fanfiction that pairs you and this anime character. That way you can have a sort-of "relationship." It's a win/win situation ;)
14. My favourite solo would have to be in "Money" by Pink FLoyd. That is one excellent guitar solo, I mean, the whole songs is just, worth it, because of it.
15. "My guitar weeps, brings the teens to my stage, and they're like, it's better than yours. Damn right. it's better than yours, I could play, a hundred more scores, I'm no Hendrix, but I'm better than you."
16. Welcome to the Otaku Club, my name is Jiminy critic, your host with the most, interviewing the most influential people on the OtakuBoards today, and even some who aren't but think like hell they are. *Done totally without permission form the participants, what fun would that have been? Episode I Our first guest today is none other than the legendary Otaku Pirate himself, give it up for Dragon Warrior! Dragon warrior: Hey, great to be here. Jiminy: I know, you're my first guest. DW: Really? Wow! *pumps fist into the air and jumps on the couch* Jiminy: Wow, you must really love Oprah. DW: Who the hell is Oprah? Jiminy: Never mind. DW, critics have panned your latest gorefest, When Robots Attack, as the master of satire and other humorous bits, how do you feel about that? DW: I didn't pen that story. Jiminy: Ah, Um, well, deny it if you must. Anyway, Critics have raved about your other masterpiece, Dusty DW and the Otaku Kid, some even calling it a classic for the ages, what do you make of the hype? DW: I dunno about the ages part, I want it to be hysterical for people, not their assigned number! Jiminy: I see.... DW: No you don't see, it was a joke you humorless pansy! Jiminy: I see (LOL) So anyway, alot has been made by certain focus groups about the harem of women that follow you around, many have mentioned that this give the impression to todays impressionable you that it is alright to take multiple mistresses, comments? DW: Hey, well, I don't make my features for Focus on the Family closet groups, haha! I mean, I can take whatever women, how many women I want, I'm the Otaku Pirate, Arrgh! Jiminy: Cool, but was that Arrgh totally neccesary? Er you trying to be an stereotypical pirate? DW: Shut your mouth! *coos* Don't mention the cooing either! Jiminy: sweet, our next guest today is Jack Thompson, Miami lawyer and anti gaming-with-a-hint-of-blood crusader! Hello, Mr. thompson. Jack: omg DW ur tha d3vil and u shul be benned from takin you saYTANICK TRASHHZ!!1 Jiminy: Jack was banned, pity. DW: *pumps fist into the air and jumps on the couch* I love that, I love that, I love that! Jiminy: You sure you've never seen Oprah? DW: Never been to the operatin theatre in all my life! Jiminy: Oh, ok. So, where does a Black mage like you get his inspiration for all this satire from? Mad Magazines, reversed Black Sabath records, Martha Stewart? DW: My pet Cactuar tells me what to write, he's my pet and I love him, he can taalk, taalkies, did you know thaat? Jiminy: uh, no? DW: Well, he can *pulls out a cactuar and starts talking to it and pricking his fingers on the spikes.* Jiminy: You got a silly grin on your face while doing that, this is getting creepy... DW: I know. *puts cactuar away* sorry, but you can come out later. Jiminy: working on Dusty DW, how does that compare with some of your other works? DW: Well, I couldn't get my dialect right for this one, but figured out the tags so it was okay, I guess. It was a lot more arid than any of the other locations I have shot in, I found myself constantly casting spells to turn rocks into water! Jiminy: But you only wrote about the wild west, there was no film.... DW: That's what you think! We had the entire thing shot and produced in four days with Kurt Russel playing me! how else do you do a movie adaptation for OtakuBoards without having a movie first? Jiminy: that's dedication for ya, I hope you were able to pay the actors well. DW: We payed Kurt a hotdog for each time he said "hot diggity!" he was happy with that, we edited out the "hot diggitie's" from final production though. Jiminy: good plan. Anyway, will you release the movie since it is all there ready for Holly"turn-any-old-book-into-a-movie"Wood?? DW: That movie we shot is A-Class Hollywood material, so hell no! That ain't even fit for the test chimpanzees to see! Jiminy: brilliant, thanks for doing us a favourable service. DW: You're welcome, argh! Jiminy: well, we're out of time here, I just like to thank you for participating on our first ever show, and good luck to you in your closing chapters for Dusty DW, and your future career with OB. DW: Do you have to spew that crud every time somebody leaves the show? Jiminy: It makes me feel important. Well folks, that's all we have time for, be sure to check back next episode, where we interview one of OB's most-loved satirists and Image Macro guru, Brasil! until next time, take care of yourself, and each other. DW: You watch too many Springer shows! Jack: I pwnzred ur ahol3! yer gunnin 2 h3ll! DW: *casts spell to mute Jack, causing him to exploe* Jiminy: satisfying conclusion.
17. [dialect=western] Good stuff there DW, as always. That had me in stitches most of t he time I was reading it,but that's because I exploed with laughter and had to be sewn together again, nevertheless, despite my pain at having blown up, it was a truly witty piece. You've got a true talent for random comedy, the Syk3 multpile deaths and random exploding cars, not to mention the out-of-nowhere talking bear, were by far some of the wittiest occurences ever written about. Now, all you need is a little Shinje in your final chapters, and you'll have a classic for the ages! Reading this great story enticed me to pick up my pen again. But then I blew it up since I use my keyboard to type and the pen was only a stereotypical figure to get the true message of the last sentence across. Good stuff if I haven't said that already, good.[/dialect]
18. In light of that, I still wouldn't reccomend running away. There is a greater chance you will get caught and your home life will be even more rotten than it is right now. You don't want to run the chance of really pissing this psycho off. I reccomend you go seek out the authorities, check out the facilities available to you in this situation, wether that be care and protection, victim support or even seeking out relatives that may be able to offer you a place of refuge. Running away outright will just hurt you, and you'll probably end up back where you started in worse conditions. Running away in any situation is never an option, there are always alternatives. I find it wierd that he will deny you food and even take your money away form you, yet he will let you on the internet to plan your escape. =/
19. What parent isn't a dictator? Granted, dictatorial more than others, but that's life, you learn to deal with it. The parent figure who acts such a way is only looking out for you, wether you see it right now or not. I'd rather have more rules and a strict control of what I do over havign total leniency and feeling like my parents don't care. Of course, your father may be piling it on a little too strong, but what's life without the typical "parent who just doesn't get you"? It doesn't matter how "bloody" it has got between you, reconcilliation is always still an option. Hell, if Belfast and Dublin (Ireland) can put aside thier differences, a father and son can too aye. Running away and suicide are such weak options. it takes guts to try and striaghten things out and reconcile misgivings. But whatever, best of luck in your endeavours, whatever you decide.
I hope you get caught.

20. 1. Don't bother. 2. Think. It can't really be that tough living at home now, can it? You may have had a falling out with one of your partens, but is it worth running away from home, causing panic and worry to those that love you? That's selfish man. The problems you face at home can be solved, issues can be dealt with, runnign away won't deal with them, it will just cause more pain and hurt. 3. Really, you have it good. You've got a home to go to and food on the table, many, many people do not have that privilege. Some of the world's most poorest peopel would kill to have what you have. And they certainly would not give it up for some misgivings with their family. 4. Not tips here, not one. I'm not going to assist you to throw away something that many people would be grateful for. (read; family and a home) Sorry mate, but you gotta think of the ramifications of your actions, and grow up.
21. The movie explains that, pretty well, I think.
The Aliens are attacked by a virus or bug that kills them because they're not immune to it, like other organisms on the planet that most probably are. In their arrogance in assessing this planet to take and destroy, they overlooked the thign that would take them down. Unkown viruses. That's the reason the movie starts with the micro-organisms, and why the movie also ends with them and Jackson's little epilogue.

22. Here are your nominees for Otaku Nifty Fifty '06, bought to you by yours truly, Shinji II. Baron Samedi Baron is a nifty member because of his Aussieness, and his ability to be tounge-in-cheek about Kiwi's in just about any situation where such interaction is warranted or provoked. Plus, you just can't let the member that was the inspiration for the :bdance: go wihtout getting a nomination that wasn't his own! Brasil Brasil calls a spade a spade, and is uafraid to give his true thoughts on anything, He is also nifty for his ability to bring satire and a sharp sense of humor writing in to these forums when the situations calls for it. Brasil is often a great debator, and while I do differ on some opinions he holds, It's always a treat to read them, and they get you thinking. James Because last year it was like, so in to vote him. Nah. James is nifty for his tireless dedication to this site and his devotion to consistently evolving the site into more advanced iterations. James is an asset to this community, and that's what makes him nfity. ChibiHorseWoman's craazy fonts! I'd like to nominate Chibi's crazy fonts because they are a very nifty way of structuring one's post differently. I understand that many of you might not have the fonts she used on your computer, so you may not see what I see, but Chibi's crazy fonts have added a admirable mark of individuality to her posts and signatures. I didn't know you could use any font in the vb tags. Learn somethign new every nifty year! Creation/Evolution threads They are nifty because they get a good ole debate flowing, and wihle there are soem unsavoury aspects that can more-than-often develop in these threads, it's still all good to sait down and debate various philosophies in a forum atmosphere. Plus, I like to read up on differing opinons that may strengthen my faith or get me thinking on the matter, the ability to have ones faith tested in indeed a good one that makes us strong.
23. I've been beaten to the punch, but oh well. ;) New Zealand has a woman Prime Minister, and we have had sucessive governments under female leader's from both the major right and left parties of this nation. So, form first-hand experience under both, i can say that the country is goign strong,a nd that our felmale prime ministers have been very capable of leading the nation. there's no reaso why I woudl think that somebody couldn't dot he jib just becuase they happen to be female. But i guess that attitude comes easy with having a couple of female prime ministers run the country for the good part of a decade or so. Persoanlly, I'm hoping that the U.S elects its first woman AND black president in 2008. Condie Rice for President baaby!
24. Ic Simply don't see why we shoudln't plok the leaders in conflict down in front of a playstation, pop in Gran Turismo, and tell them that whoever crosses the finish line, wins the war! This could solve the worlds problems, Sony for Nobel prize.
25. It is a bad thing. Ariel Sharon may have transgressed against the plaestinians some time ago, but in the here and now he's advocating a Palestinian state and has withdrawn many settlements from Gaza. Simply put, he's the best damn chance right now of achieving statehood for the Palestinians, yet many palestinians chose to 'celebrate his stroke' with gunfire. Here to the Middle East, a region that I wil never understand.
