1. Eh, Jus got back from seeing Hide N' seek, and I must say, I enjoyed the movie. I gave it a 7/10, I rated it a few points below the 10 because, while the story was quite good, the ending was predictable, it was the kind of twist I'm expecting from these sort of movies lately. It wasn't really a horro either, i'd be more inclined to call it a thriller. Making it two movies I've re-vlassified this week. (I also reclassified Spanglish as Drama)
2. 1: Kill Everybody in the gym in Los santos, spawn a jet pack. 2: Line yourself up with the door (don't worry about goign back through it as you can't wihtt he jetpack.) 3: fly upwards, you'll notice that you fly up and through the roof at this point, allowing you to see the gym below. 4: Now, place a marker directly above Denise's house, land on the roof of the gym interior and point yourself in the marker's direction, 5: head towards the marker, if you're on the right track, you should pass two peds walking in a box, keep on going until you reach the marker. There you should find a mysterious yellow interior triangle floating in space (if you cannot see it, look up and down to see if it is above below you. Manuvuer the jetpack to the interiror marker and enter. 6: now you'r e in a motel, and the blackness is turned to a day sky, you cann now see many other hidden interiros around the place, so long as you keep level wiht the original motel, it is easy to get lost or fall to groun in here, and if you fall to ground, the height limit prevents you from gettign bakc up to the interiors. 7: have a look around for Area 69, I'm not too sure where in the interiors game map it is, but I've heard that it is there and so is Liberty City. Enjoy. Note: There is a hidden tatoo parlour in the map that lets you get tattoos removed fromt he game. i haven't found that yet either
3. Vice City: virtual Easter Egg. If you go to the VCN building (the News center right beside the bridge linking Island #2 to Starfish island) enter the door to access the heliport, and jump into the nearest window to the helipad, you'll find that the window is hollow and you'll end up in a room with a sculpture of an easter egg. Happy Easter!
4. 1. Resident Evil 1, easily, It was the first game I played of that survival-horror nature, and it was and intense gaming experience. RE1 looked very realistic for the days back when I was 13. Though it wasn't the Hunters or Tyrant that spooked me, if anything that lumbering villain brought the tension down, it was those first few scenes, the unkown creature outside hunting you down and chasing you into the mansion, or the freakiy cutscene at the first zombie encounter, that made the game's atmosphere what it was. The mansion interirors were quite atmospheric too.
5. I'd almost say that Halo's multiplayer makes the game what it is. The story in single mode isn't that enthralling, I got bored of the first level, went and linked it back up to the other Consoles. As a multiplayer that me and my friends can stay up and play all night, annihilating each other, and capturing flags, I'm simply hooked, however, take away that element and I'm bored stiff as a tree. I have a tendency to like multi-player game more anyhow. (exception being the GTA titles)
6. I feel that being a mod has it's challenges, but it also has it's rewards. Rewards such as feeling accomplishment when the forum is at it's best, churning out top-notch posts and the like, challenging when you get spammers, flamers and n00bs (not to be confused with Newbies) If I were asked to mod this forum in some way? I'd say yes, the challenge? sure, it's a challenge at times to mod successfully, and be at the top of your own game so you don't become a hypocrite (nobody here has, btw) but that's a challenge that I feel i'm up for, besides, i think it would make my daily visits here a somewhat "new" experience. I really like the OB staff too, and I would like the chance to fit in with them in the sort of sub-community that comes with the territory.
7. I think I've seen it all now. It is ludicrous that this mean old lady has the nerve to refuse the apology, take her complaint to court, and win. All in the name of teaching the girls a lesson. This lesson has obviously been learned when you take the apology letter into account, how any sane judicial system can overlook that, I don't know. The only lesson to be learnt here, is, partying into the night drinking and using drugs will land you in far less trouble than baking a treat for an old granny.
8. The flag waving is an easy one, because there is no wind on the lunar surface, the flag was propped up using several extending metal "fingers" which held it up for the photos. Theflag "waved" when it accidentally crumpled while the astronauts placed it. This website here, Is a very down-to earth explanations of the anomalies commonly cited as evidence of a hoax. Did we land on the moon? Yes, most certainly.
9. Jon ignored his conscience, warning of peril, and entered the dimly-lit corridor. He felt a sense of anxiety, his pulse quickened. He thought of the horrors that awaited him, and what horrors they were! Finally, convincing himself it couldn't be that bad, He gathered his courage, in preparation, and entered the room. Back to school.
10. You could always obsess over bakura too, she'll either be freaked out, or entertain the idea.....
11. Shaun, you can do this, just go to Maverick HQ, and present yourself. Nobody will know you were once infected, nobody even knows that it can be beat! you can do it! no! wait! it's bullshit, you don't even know how you got the virus out of yourself! what good are youy to them anyway? A sudden knowck at the door interrupted Shaun's train of thought, a thought confliction that he had never gone through. "courier delivery for a Mr. Sanza" "yeah, that's me" Spyder signed for the package and placed it ont he table. He was too busy in his minds thoughts to be worrying about such things. The real guts behind his indecision, should he really go and seek out the Maverick HQ? Could they possibly know about the infection, and what would they do with him if he was deemed a threat? It was all very confusing, on one hand, he may prove to be resourcefult ot he squad, an then he would be able to, in any shaoe or form, seek retribtion and justice for his family. On the other, however, those X-Hunters could see him as a walking threat, and exterminate him straight away. He might not even be able to knock at the door! who knows what their virus-inyterception and diagnosis capabilities were? One word echoed out of the scramble, bomb, and he knew exactly what it meant. Shaun made a mad dash for the exit, as a storm of drones burst in, in an attempt to block his escape. The package had vibrated itself off the table by some wierd contraption and was falling to the floor. "what the...who the....fuck sent them!" Spyder said aloud as he dodged more drones, put a few bullets in others, and rolled toward the exit, as the package fell futher toward it's goal. As it hit the apartment floor, it let out a loud beep and burst into flame, which rapidly exhaled to ingite the whole room, spyder just made it, diving out the door as a gush of flame sped out after him. Some drones which had survived the explosion adhered to their new goal to push the frontage of the building down onto Shaun, they, withhout a hint of procrastination, pushed throught he flame and sent the wall crumbling. As he walked through the streets pondering this bizzare assasination attempt, he coudl not help but feel his urge to join the X Hunters growing. I It may have been bounty hunters, but they generally don't use explosives and ususally want their prey alive. Whoever had orchestrated this had wanted him dead, perhaps it was because he was a threat to whomever after surviving the virus, he didn't know. On his travels, a drone happened to startle him, and reacting on impulse, he layed waste to the would-be assasin. Unfortunately that drone happened to be one used to help old ladies cross the street, and nothing more. That's when Shaun stumbled upon Maverick HQ, he knew that he hadn't been walking in that direction, had he? Either way, he decided to join the fight, if they annihilate him for being a possible threat, he was willign to accept that. After all, being dead was startign to look a little more meaningful than runnign scared form drones and letter bombs. He knew he needed a callsign, identitiy, and fast. They may be able to cross-referrence Shaun and discover his secret that way, noticing a spiders struggle against an insect, he found an inspirational name ot call himself by. Staring straight at the Maverick HQ, Shaun felt awash with a renewed confidence, yes, cofnidence to fight wihtt he X Hunters for their common goal, as he went to enter. "Enter the Spyder"
12. tat is soo keeewl!!!1 me da farce be wif u, *ahem* Nice work Alex, both episodes are really great. Both he humor and the art are top-notch. I find it rather interesting that you made the Jedi and light-sided characters the n00bs. May the force be with you. :smirk:
13. I'd like to meet...... Baron- Particularly at a Aussie/New Zealand rugby match. So, when we win.......... Siren- Simply because I get on well with Siren, he seems like a real cool guy to meet. yeah. Go the vid games too. Alan, same reasons. Ge ton well with... yadda yadda yadda.... Be interesting to see though, if they wanted to meet me too. Desolate comment boxes and dropping pop ranks on MyO get me a little...er...skeptical. :p

SPAM area

I've frequented a board with a SPAM area for some time, and, while the idea behind it looks good on paper, (that if we give the spam an areas to be in, then the rest of the board can be quality). it just doesn't work. This other board, which I won't name here, is still a great, fun place to be, it's just it has tons of mindless garbage that seeps from it's rants and spam forums like a virus. And that's why, it's a bad idea to have a spam forum. ;)
16. Beware of those in the light, and all "goodness" it purports to bring. For they are liken to us, yet think alike, they shant.
17. I'll get right on it. How's "Absolut" sound to you?
18. Interesting, most interesting. I'd have to say that a Highlight for me was Final Flash's flashy return in January. it was great to see an old NZ buddy and one of the first members that I got to know come back, however briefly. It was also the year that my MyOtaku was launched in it's current iteration, and that's good. Despite the lack of comment entry's. I feel that it might go somewhere in 2005. Teh DW's sexah comic animations are always a highlight. Syk3 the corroded R3indeer was a excellent and very funny movieness. When will I get cast? (probalby soon and as a whino, I bet, lol)
19.
EDIT: Ziogarph your post is totally off topic and didn't relate to anything mentioned in this thread. Posts like that can get you in more trouble than the topic of this thread.
Actually, the afformentioned post goes a long way in explaining why the Introduction forum was taken down.
20. Friends is most defiantely overrated, while it had some good moments. It had it's fair share of equally horrid ones. Yet it was hyped and promoted as the best thing since...no wait... better that.... sliced bread. Yet the one series that is overly overhyped, is, our own series 'bro Town. Everyone over here is going on about how it's New Zealand's first prime-time animated series, and it's right up there with the Simpsons, when in reality, it doesn't even hold a candle to Simpsons. It doesn't even compare to South Park!
21. Here goes. PSone V-Rally: This is the first game I ever got for a console. I never owned a mega drive or SNES, I started witht hte PSone. It was just a general racing game that my Dad bought wiht my PSone. Not a bad game, really. Grand Theft Auto: The first top-down criem sim, simply fantastic despite it's low-budget graphics. The humor in the game and it's free-roam style would become revolutionary later on. I also own GTA: London 1969 and GTA2, all of the top-down GTA franchise. Resident Evil: I loved this game when it came out, it was awesome. The mansion ans it's occupants were masterfulyl crafted and very realistic, for it's time. I also own Resident Evil 2 and 3: Nemesis. Gran Turismo: The first real driving simulator. At the time, GT simply wowed me with it's realistic textures and reflections, and the re-created racing world. I like the challenge presented in racing for money, and upgrading from a small used car to racing supermachine. That's about it, I usually stick iwth a franchise for a very long time and paly it to death. lol. PS2 Grand Theft Auto 3: Teh gameness that started a revolutuion, and spawned many copycats. GTA3 is truly a legend in the field, need I say more? I also own GTA: Vice City and San Andreas. Each of these games improving on what Liberty City bought to the franchise. Simply beeayutiful. I also own Spiderman, which I hardly ever play. I swear I must upgrade and add to my PS2 library's diversity someday.
22. Same here, my music listening tastes defy genre. I like songs because I like them, not because htey're what my friends listen to, or what people think I should be into, such as.... "Barbie Girl" by Aqua? WHAAT? sure, but the only reason I liked it was it was more a satirical look at the "manufactured pop" machine than anything. At least that's what I got out of the song. The lawsuit by Mattel just added to it's impact, lol. That's one example anyway.
23. It was the worst quake, anywhere in the world, for at least 40 years. It's just so much that it makes you sit back, and just, wow. Over here, the news broadcasts showed some amcam footage of the Tsunami that ravaged SriLanka. It was quite sobering to see that, and know you are watching people being swept away and drowned. It's a wretched horrible feeling that's right up there with the September 11 footage. The SriLankan cricket team are touring over here, and have decided to keep on with the tour despite the tradgedy back home. I can only imagine how it must feel for them to be over here, when their country is suffering after such a calamity. I hope they know if their friends and relatives are okay.
24.
Oh, Shinje, try using the font CHILLER for the Apocalypse Now text. With a bit of skewering and re-sizing, you can get really damn close to the actual look.
Yeah, I actually found an Apocalypse Now! font at Filmhimmel, after that theme had passed away. So, i decided to do a new splash in the theme of Apocalypse Now! just to see what it'd look liek If I was doing the theme now, and it works quite well. So much so, that I've decided to revisit the theme. I'll call it the Redux, lol.
25. A little way to spend less [strike]this[/strike] next christmas...... Guess the strain and stress of the job finally took him, eh?
