The Lion King sex dust is very vague, it is hardly readable. It could also say "SFX", there is no way of telling exactly becuase the word trails off in the dust, making it look like it could be an E, but also an F.

Finally, I got to see the movie It seemed like I had waited a lifetime for and...... It really blew away my expectations, because, as Ozzy pointed out already, the hype here was so enormous about these movie, i wondered if we were expecting too much, after all, it is a film, can it be that wonderful after all is said and done, and the hype taken away? yes, it will be a masterpeice for ages to come. Bigger than Ben Hurr? you betcha! destined to sit on my shelves as a complete trilogy of extened DVD sets.
The whole love tangle between aragorn and Arwen was a brilliant subplot in the movie. Call me a hopeless romantic, but the scenes where we are introduced to the idea that if she wants to marry a mortal, she will become mortal and die, and yet she still wants him was very emotional. Mordor was fantastic, and the battle in Gondor. This battle, like James mentioned, did so much more for me than the machine battle of Matrix revolutions, why? well it was because it had a more humanan feel to it, a sort of sympathy for those who had come under the rings seduction and power, while hoping for Frodo to succeed, and the forces of Gondor to hold off the Orcs. you couln't help but feel for poor Gollum, corrupted by the ring. It was quite the ending when Semagol's desire to hold and take his precious was the very thign that led to it's destruction, I think i actually sged a tear for poor Smeagol, it was very emotional. The scene with Denethor set on fire, and falling over the face of the fortress wall was one scene that spoke volumes, as the camera zooms out, he becomes a mere speck int he grand scheme of things. It's really well done.
I though the ending was drawn out, but that was quite a good thing, i still haven't had my full fix of ROTK yet anyhow,
I was quite looking forward to the grey havens scene, I kne it would be emotional and it was. although it didn't look too grey did it. :therock:
Peter Jackson did us Kiwis proud, I filled with pride watching this film, knowing that our land was beautiful enough to be called middle earth. Once, i dreamed of living abroad, now, i couln't dream of leaving here ^_^ The movie has awoken two things for me. 1) Tolkien's masterpieces, i am currently working my way through The fellowship. 2) appreciation for the contry I lvie in and it's unspoiled beauty.

Me and Ozzy just started a new MyOtaku just the other day, and we have both forgto the password to the account. That's okay, because there is always the send password to email option, but this is where we realyl get up the creek without a paddle. :flaming: I've mistyped the email address (the account uses min), or something because it's not coming through to my e mail account, it ends in @yahoo.co.nz , but I typed it ending with @yahoo.com, The MyOtaku page shows that it's been going through to the @yahoo.com address, but I'm not receiving the email. Is there anything else that i can do? or is it a hopeless situation?:drunk: EDIT: found out it isn't a misspelled e mail adress, and that it is @yahoo.com, through my OB details. what else could be stopping the e mail coming through?

My latest B&W sketch. It's actually not kaworu, hence the title of the htread, it's a schoolkid that looks a little like him, or so I think. Randomness could be another way to describe this piece.

I saw the teaser at the LOTR screening, and it looked really good
Peter and Mary-jane are having a bit of lunch, and they are about to kiss when BLAM! a car comes smashing throught the caf'e! Peter, with his spidey-senses senses it about an hour before it happens (exaggeration) and averts disasaster.
Sure, that was good, but then we get a look at Doctor Octopus, who looks more camp that the Green Goblin, as he was walking on his four mchanical arms, he looked way too funny to be taken seriously, perhaps that's the point? campy villains who do nothing but amuse you by their sight, and crack corny one liners (example of "gobby") A good thing about this movie is they're keeping up with the Harry/Spiderman grudge, I'm thinking that he might perhaps
hire doctor octopus in his mad hunt for revenge agaoinst spiderman
It's funny how Harry is friends with Peter and he doesn't even know he is also his arch enemy. It's got good graphics again, and I don't care if the spidey moves are all CG, they're amazing. Doctor Octopus seems too slow to keep up wiht Spidey, ambling around on his four mechanical arms, walking up buildings, but I'll reserve my final hjudgement for the finished package.
Originally posted by Hells Fire How immature...what are you 10? Damn newbies...Yes I quite like "Invivsible". It's just my station plays it too much. He's changed his image too much. I liked him better when he still had the whacked out hair and glasses. I have a feeling this thread won't live much longer. At least I pry to god it won't...*looks at ClayAikensbabe's last post and shivers because of the spelling*
Are you looking for any excuse to rip a newbie? I find that immature. If you are going to diss someonefor spelling, make sure you yourself can spell. "Invivsible"? "pry?" "braf?" do i sense hypocrisy here? On to the subject at hand, I heven't really given much thought to a certain popstar I'd like to meet, it's not something that's really a pressing issue for me, If I, by chance met britney somewhere, I mgiht introduce myself, and I might say hello, but then again I might not, it depends on the situations, she is after all, a human, and she needs her own space, and I'm not much of a celebrity fanatic. There are a ton of Kiwi celebrities that i have emt without saying too much, just letting them carry on with their day to day life, Peter Jackson being one of them. ;)

I'm quite happy with the State of the WWE at the moment. I don't get to watch much Raw (the last one I watched was Kane being dumped in that dumpster of fire by Shane McMahon) but I do get to watch lot of Smackdown, and that's the show that I like the most. John cena, he is an incredible talent on the mic, his raps and the way he disses out his opponents are awlays a treat to see. When I first noticed cena, he was a heel, bu he has since tunred face, he works well as either a heel or a face, which is a sign of true talent. Trpile H would be my favorite Raw superstar, he is incredibly talented in the ring, and has good mic skills, I feel that triple H works best as a heel, I'm not sure wther he's heel of face at the moment, simply because I don't get to watch much raw at all. Does anyone know why they split the talent up into Raw and Smackdown? I think it worked better when it was everyone agaisnt everyone.

So, that's what Bart as the raven was for.... Was there any particualr reason you wanted him as the raven? just curious. Well done, your picture mixes in the various pop culture icons very well, and it looks unique fresh, and original in it's concept.

Open wide, Saddam...... For a man that said he would go down in a blaze of glory, this is pretty humilliating. It's a great day for the Iraqi people, they now know that the tyranny of Saddams Baathist regime will not come back into power. I only hope now that the remaining insurgence from the Baathist and Saddam loyalists takes a huge blow, now their leader and reason for fighting is in the hands of the Coalition. After the months and months of insurgence and attacks on coaltition troops, the capture of Saddam must be seen as a light at the end of the tunnel for the Iraq saga, his capture brings us that one step closer to brining back sovereignty to the Iraqi people. I must say that I had some doubts about wether Saddam should be tried before and Iraqi court, because I felt that the level of security might be a problem, however I am confident that Saddam must be tried before the very people that he tortured and dictated for 30+ years. I'm sure the U.S will have the upmost security in place.

So far, everybody's banner has been of amazing standard, I wouldn't like to be in James' shoes right now, having to pick one of of many really great banners here. Here's mine, albeit not as fancy as I had liked, but with the deadline approaching, here it is (curse you for making the competition when I am seperated from my preciousss photoshop) don't be fooled! it's not LOTR themed. OMG rage is the r0x0rz lolk!!!111 And no, I'm not spamming :smirk: I've only really got into Rage Against the Machine since the Matrix credits, and I enjoy their style. It's a kind of funky hip hop rock sound (to me it is anyway) My favourite tracks would be Wake Up, Renegades of Funk and Bullet in the Head. I also have downloaded a track which is probably mislabelled as being them, it's the Star Wars Imperial March, rocked up, it's a good track. Among the things I like most abour RAGTM, is their political message, and how it is so well wrapped into the lyrics of their songs. Before hearing Wake Up outside the Matrix Credits, I didn't hear such lyrics as "you know they murdered X, (Malcom X I assume) they tried to blame it on Islam." According to The Covers project, a site that lists bands and what they've covered and who's covered their songs, Renegades of Funk is a cover, and they also did a cover of N.W.A's **** the Police (which i don't recall after reading their discography) It's a shame RAGTM broke up in 2000, I woulod have like to hear them speak out about Iraq :smirk:

Yeah, I should have posted it the other way around, talked about the Nero times first and then the Constantine times. I muddled it up, but that's what I meant, the point though is that the Church came out of a regime that originally persecuted all Christians (Nero would have gladly martyred Catholics), they made a few errors in bringing the conversion by sword into the Catholic Church, but we all make errors, it's why were human and God's God. If I'm not mistaken Pope John Paul the second made an apology for this a little while ago.

I think Dan best described my feelings on this situation, labelling it the wore of Babylon is dangerous gorund, and until God himslef shows up and declares this so, I'm going to remain objective. I have read the theory a dozen times, and it does hold some ground, but bear in mind a few important ideas. Rome is not the only seven hilled city in the world, nor is it the only city which has played on international fornication, is Salt Lake City the whore of Babylon? you could say that they whored the olympic comittee, you could also say that the U.S tried to whore the U.N too. (could say, I'm not actually saying the U.S whored the U.N) I differ on praying to Mary,I myself belive this to be making her a pagan godess, and there's also the verse in Timothy that speaks of Celibacy being the doctrine of Devils. We all belive the same essentials on salvation anyway, and while it may look from face value the the Catholic Church is the whore of Babylon, let's remember if it's not, we will fall under judgement for condeming God's people. They may have martyred the early Christians who did not believe their ways in the Inquisition, remember they have branched off from the Roman empire, thanks to Constantine, which, under Nero, persecuted christians relentlessly, Point is, even the church can make mistakes, do we still condemne Germany for the horrors of the holocaust inflicted by the Nazis? i should certainly hope not. I'll leave you with one last word, a golden rule form the new testament, do not judge others unless you yourself want to be judged, why? because Judgements divide people, and I dare say this thread will offend our Cathloic OB'ers, that's why Judgements is best left up to God, people would screw it up.

The school can do anything it wants with it's own property, and I believe they made the right choice. Surfing OB is not a good idea in school time, when I found out the computers at my course I was doing had blocked OB, I was upset, but then I saw my grades improve, :smirk: So now I thank them for blocking it, I still have plenty of free time to use Otakuboards on, and a shiny new certificate too! Webmarshal - heh, somehow I don't think that name will ever leave my head.
Originally posted by cloricus And I'm sick of people trying to disprove science with quotes from people who had nightmares and wrote them down (revelations) and people who were in drastic situations and needed some thing to believe in so they reached out for the closest thing. An idea of a all powerful that favoured them over EVERY THING else on the planet (see psalms) so maybe, Artemis, you should think about your position before you attack facts and theories that are more believable than primitive ideas for people that cannot handle their lives. (Born against Christians.) Also see Here. (Half aimed at Dan, all in good fun.)
Hm, they had dreams, about our time, that turn out to be true? I want dreams like that! Actually, Cloricus, many Christians do use the realms of Science to prove their belief in the word of God, what they have discovered actually fits in with this ancient book, I ask that you check their amazing work out. Answers in genesis Ministries [CARM] Both of these scientific christian websites cover everything scientifically, from Evolution, to how all the animals fit on the ark :p now, back to the subject in question... Purgatory. I don't believe in a purgatorym simply because it's not written in the bible, amongst all things written about heaven there, I'd expect at least 1 verse which dtails a time of penencae before entering. I base my beliefs 100% on the Bible, see the aboive links. Purgatory could be earth, as mentioned here in this thread, not quite heaven, not quite hell, a midway place, but that goes against the ideals of the Purgatory system, a place to repent in penence for your sins. Not everyone on Earth is doing that. [edit] If you wish to read the Apocryphia, like the books of Maccabees, they can be found at the CARM website, which has published them all in full for references.

This same thing happened in 1993, and they settled out of Court. I don't know why Jackson has put himself in this position yet again, but I don't think he means anybody harm. Sure, he is a bit freakish, especially with some of the things he has done, amd I don't think Jackson truly comprehends how his actions and his thinking are getting him in trouble like this. It's liek this, he has sleepover parties with children, and I think that this is because, due to his success int he Jackson Five, Jackson had a pretty rough childhood, all he wanted to do was play with other children, but all he was doing was recording music. It's like he is making up for lost time, in a freakish way no doubt, but he is seen with children, at his house sleeping in the same room (isn't that how kids sleep over at other kids places?), and people immediately think, OMG paedophile! How sad. How sad none of it has been proven, how sad it is, that people are so keen to get on a witch hunt. Until proven otherwise, I say he is innocent.
Originally posted by rttocs77 It was nice in the old days when they played all the credits at the beginning, so you had no choice but to sit and watch.
Heh, at our cinemas, the cleaners movie in as soon as the credits start rolling, so you have to leave. I like to stay for the credits, especially if there are some extra scenes afterwards, but as soon as the attendants throw on the big spotlights to start cleaning, you can't see them anyway.:naughty:
Originally posted by Baron Samedi Why are you guys all bad sports, going for the Poms for the mere fact that you lost to the Wallabies. Bah, pathetic.
The all Blacks deserved to lose, the Wallabies, in our game, out played out classed and outmatched us. The real reason I'm going for the English is because, 1) we're not in it . (that is the selfish reason :naughty: ), and 2) I'd like to see some country that hasn't won it yet grab it. adn 3) to inject a little rilvary and humour into the thread.

Something has stuck in underneath my skin Eyes all looking in for something within Somewhere in here Now everything I say gives this all away Senses deadened again Nothing lives today Not in here Here in your head Careful what you?re feeling on the inside You should try to remember the good times and the high life Are you feeling alright? Felt that I belonged And now I feel that gone Where it all went wrong I traced it all along Back here again There was something calling me to negativity Dark covering me Shrouding every scene I?m cast in Please answer I?m calling just to find out If you could be there for me when I crack The answer came I found it buried in the trash there I saw it stare? My new favourite song. What do you think of this song? It's being played over here alot, I'm not sure band's (Finger Eleven) country of origin. (guessing America.) It seems to have a really unique pattern in which the vocals for the chorus are significantly different from the verses, and I think it blends to make a unique sound that I havent heard very often over here in New Zealand. I enjoy this song (I'm listening to it as I post this heh), it's my new favourite, and for those who know the band, would I like any of their other hits if I like Good Times?

The rugby world cup doesn't interest me anymore, perhaps it's becuase Australia knocked us out in the semi-finals. :p Actually, I'll be supporting England for the sole purpose of seeing soemone beat Australia, so go the English, and Aussie, we've still got the bledisloe, and the Tri Nations too. -you got lucky with that whole "Webb Ellis cup thingy" ~_^
