1. It's plain, but it suits the style of the Kill Bill franchise, and it's a funny parody. Perhaps you could add ome noise to the background, make it look a bit more rough. Either way it's good.
2. I like the points you have bought up Dan, and btw, it's good to see you back here. I have always understood Jesus dying for our sins as the sealing of his everlasting covenant, while not always in the heart, it certainly has become a primary focus since being filled with the holy spirit not less than 2 weeks ago. God moves in so many ways that we do not understand, and I believe most professing Christians do not fully grasps the sacrifice God made of our sins. I have heard that, Jesus will still bear the marks of crucifixion when we meet him in eternity, and he will bear them for eternity, I don't know how biblically sound that is, but it falls in line perfectly with your description of the covenant. -Praise the Lord!
3. I like the grayscale fusion with the color, it suits the theme of the banner, or whatever it supposed to be, quite well. i get the distinct impression that it's supposed to be a dark, mysterious theme. The box at the top seems dis proportionate in relation ot the other boxes, perhaps because it's thinner, it seems like the others, regardless of the scale, keep the sme ratio, but that's not bad or anything. I'd give it a good 8/10
4. Thanks, I like the points brought up in this thread an I'll definately be trying them out. If you are wondering what I was trying to emulate, was a matrixfans.net type experience. I don't think I quite got there though, ^^ I agree, it's not quite there yet, it's a start,
Time to free my mind_

5. WARNING: spoiler intensive Reloaded review. I just watched the Reloaded DVD today, and I must say that, I am impressed by the psychological aspects of the Matrix world. I mean, to think that everything explained by the first movie, and your ideas on what the Matrix is, is completely blown to smithereens by the Architect is pure genius. Sure, he could have worded it a little better, but I think it payed off in the end. The whole prophetic side of this story took a new turn, a turn for the better, more complex story, The One was supposed to end everything by going through that door, it seems now that the One, Neo has only begun it. However, by
choosing trinity instead of Zion
and with the agent smith factor, Things could get out of hand for even the Architect, and his perfect plan. One other thing that I have discovered is, the Merovingan heavily hints on there being previous versions of "the One" when Neo Trinity and Morpheus encounter him. this leads me to the idea that you should be open to anything and everything to happen in Revolutions, subtle plots hints can turn into some of the most fundamental points of the movie, and that where I think this movies trains of thought succeed exceedingly well. The Oracle was very profound in her wording too, Neo suspects her of being a program, and I don't think she directly says she is in fact, a program, but we get the feeling she is. The Oracle, who was the cornerstone of the first movie, prophesising about the One, could very well have just been another computer program intent on control, Might I suggest that neo has had such an impact on The Oracle, that she now knows, or thinks, the end of the Matrix draws nigh? This all ties in very well with the Animatrix. Matrix Reloaded began unravelling the story of man/machine relations that date back to B166ER, and that, my expectations for Revolutions will be a more profound understanding of the history between man and machines from both sides, I also think that alot more of renegade Agent Smith will be integral to Revolutions, whose transformation from agent of the system to free rebel program is interesting to say the least, I will be looking forward to seeing how this all plays out in the conclusion. In conclusion, I don't think I've done the story any justice, and that, hopefully, is saying alot ^^. The Matrix world is vast and complex, and some things I really don't understand, but I intend on finding the meaning to. This is why I don't believe it's just "high school level philosophy" my opinion anyway.
6. I was always forgetting how to spell "wich" "which" "witch" and was always confusing myself up with that one, soemtimes, I still do. It's wierd to be the top speller in your class, and be able to missspell such an easy word. (I was 16 year old level speller at 12) and now, it's a case of embarrassing typos, I try not to, but sometimes, when proof reading my posts, I can still overlook them. I know how to spell them, but I seem to just type nda instead of and!
7. Neo does seem a little squeezed in, and besides, he's "the Onte" perhaps he should be in the center. I have the .psd file, so I might muck around with the opacity of the border and backround, and try a few blending styles. Thanks for the critique.
8. It would have been really cool if they had an expozay on the religious connotations in the matrix reloaded, but i think that Adny and Larry Warchowski want it so you have to think and think about it. I never knew that the license plates in the freeway chase scene had bible verses on them. I was too enthralled by the action :p I have just bought the reloaded DVD, unfortunately I can't play it yet, I'm looking forward to seeing the MTV movie awards skit, seeing as how I missed it this year.
9. That's an incredible drawing, I like the way you've given him that psycho expression, and it's also neat how you did the hair. I like the scythe, it's gruesome, he looks more like a devil than a ninja, especially when you think of the meaning of the upside down cross.
10. I was mucking around in photoshop the other day when i though, "hey, it would be cool to make a matrix reloaded banner out of this! (I Had made the outside frame first) So that's exactly what I did, I didn't have the matrix font on my computer, don't know what's happened to that, so I just used Times new Roman for the "reloaded, and cut it up. I found a few good pictures and threw them all together, and added a green motion blur background as well as some glassy styles to thee "buttons" for lack of a better description. I would have liked to something more metallic with the metal frame, but I guess I'll just have to learn some good metal effects sometime. edit: - fix spelling, could a mod PLEASE change the title? thanks.
11. The only thing that song does for me is remind me of American Pie. I'm sure anyone who has seen the movie knows what I mean :p
12.
Originally posted by Dagger IX1 If life had an 'undo' button, I'm sure I would be tempted to use it. However, as things stand, I'd have to agree with Semjaza. Things--both good and bad--happen for a reason. All the stupid mistakes I've made over the years won't be wasted, because I know now how not to repeat them. All the painful or tragic events that I've experienced in my life have helped to shape the person I am today. ~Dagger~
Agreed totally. You know, sometimes in life we do wish there was an undo button to remove the nasty things in our lives, but those experiences help shape who we are today. If i hadn't gone through some of the totally rotten stuff in my life, I would have been totally different from who i am today, or if I "had have just done this" or "If I had just gone over that way" Things would be very different today, and i wouldn't want that. There is a good chance I would not have discovered the church I'm at for example, and then i wouldn't have been filled with the Holy Spirit when I was, and found a girl I really liked :p Things, everything, happens for a reason, and I'm only really learning to accept that myself - All in all, after thinking that out, If life had an undo button, I'd leave it alone.
13. ] I like anything that we do at our church's youth services, which is a lot of HillSong and Vineyard worship stuff. Some of my favorites are Open the Eyes of my Heart Lord, Lord i lift your name on high, Amazing Love (you are my king) the latter of that list of songs is now a really special one for me because last week when I was singing it I was filled with the Holy Spirit. It really couldn't have been anything else, and it was exciting, truly awesome, I have not been the same since, even though it's only been a week, :p I like a lot of NZ Christian bands like Parachute band, Satellite, and Moped, I also like a lot of stuff like DC Talk. I'm really open to anything that exalts the name of God
14. I tend to see a lot of people in my church group, or people I meet in the queue, who think that the Matrix reloaded was overloaded with the philosophy, I couldn't disagree more. I enjoyed trying to wrap my head around the idea that
there have been 6 Zion's and 6 different versions of the "Anomaly" or "The One"
I forget a lot of what the Meroviningan (i think that's the French dude) was saying, but I really enjoyed the massive car chase scene at the end of it, that was some tight action sequence, and what made the movie for a lot of my classmates I went to see it with. In Revolutions, I hope they explain the architecture of the matrix more, I'm also looking forward to seeing how the human Agent Smith storyline plays out. Neo
stopping the sentinels at the end of reloaded
was definitely a hook for me to watch the third and final movie. I just hope that, through all the philosophy involved within all the Matrix franchise, that they can give a definite conclusion to the films.

16. Obviosly, I'm looking forward to the new Zealand Scenery first off, and then, well, I haven't read any of the three books so I'm not sure what to expect from the third movie. I'm sure through the many interviews shown here that return of the king will be a really cool special effects , So I'm looking forward to that, and
the destruction of the ring, heh, eveyone knows they will succeed, unless they don't for some reason :(

17. The Lion King was undoubtedly my favourite Disney movie, Hamlet on Safari sums it up I think, At that time, I had never watched a movie in which treachery and murder was so prevailent, come to think of it, I hadn't seen a movie in which a character died before that point. I don't think I'll get the DVD however, unless it has some cool added extras.
18. I don't see this as an issue either. If you don't believe in God, then don't pray, simple. but I sincerely hope that the right to Prayer will not be taken away from those who wish to do so. I'll ask you this, why can't someone pray aloud? I don't see what's wrong with it. People should be allowed to practise their beliefs however they want, as long as it dosen't force others into their beleif.

The Core

That scene reminded me of The Birds. I thought this movie was okay, it had some good action, like the coliseum, and some intense moments, but other that that, it was Armageddon(the movie) except underground.

avi's

Make sure they're not turned off in your options settings. Thats all I can think of right now, as they work fine for me and everyone else i assume.
21. I have a couple of System of a Down albums, the first one, and Toxicity. I like their music as something different to listen to, however, I haven't played the songs for a while now. Let's be reasonable here, I have to agree with TN as Serj shouts and yells the lyrics, it's half the appeal, I wouldn't call it singing, as there isn't a melody there. I do like the music, I just wonder sometimes why Serj doesn't get laryngitis(sp?) from all that yelling. :smirk:
22. I don't think that shutting down the chat rooms is a good idea, afterall, Microsoft can only shut down it's own chat rooms, and, while msn is pretty darn popular, they aren't the be all and end all of internet chat rooms, there are plenty of other places the sick minded individuals can go. Like others have said over many places I frequebnt on the net, it's really up to the guardians of the young people using the net. I was told when I was younger and first into tghe internet scene that you don't tell people anything personal, like your home address. Education is really the only thing that can stem a paedophiles access to children via the internet. Microsoft can shut down these chat rooms, and that's a good idea, but only if other companies follow suit, otherwise it's utterly hopeless.
23. I don't see how the Highlight members feature could be controversial. I like the Idea, although some people might feel a bit envious if their names aren't bolded anywhere, I guess they're just going to have to get over it. As for a member list, I give a big thumbs up to anything to do with the member list, regardless of wehter it's based on popularity rank or something else.
24. I heard that he recorded the "Be a Man" song after Hogan refused to wrestle him for a childrens charity. I don't know how credible that is though. I never thought of "Macho Man" Randy Savage as a rapper, I'll have to hear this song to see what it's like [EDIT] I just listened to it, and it's good. It also confirms the "charity event" thing. I like it how he refers to Hollywood Hogan making him laugh with his mediocre movies (eg Thunder in Paradise, No Holds Barred) While he starred in spider-Man. - Real funny stuff, it'd be interesting to see how Hulk Hogan responds.
25. I never really noticed the colours of the cars heh, I thought that the mini chase scene was wicked though, and obviously, the highlight of the movie. It was an entertaining remake of the classic movie, although I feel that there are too many remakes being made nowdays, I didn't seem to really care with the italian Job, it's a far better remake of Planet of the Apes.
