[size=1] This Is a poem I worte a while ago, I though i might share it with you. It's about a penny, see if you can guess what happened to it at the end. Please critique, what you like and don't like about it. [/size] [center][b][size=1]Falling down the well,[/size] [size=1] a train of thought, derailed by the systems of life.[/size] [size=1] I tiny penny falls,[/size] [size=1] hitting the sides on it's way into the abyss.[/size] [size=1] [/size] [size=1] In the old lady's purse,[/size] [size=1] the penny had sat alone[/size] [size=1] with no others,[/size] [size=1] alone in the world of it's own.[/size] [size=1] [/size] [size=1] 1945[/size] [size=1] penny came from nowhere,[/size] [size=1] from obscurity of copper[/size] [size=1] molded into man's objection.[/size] [size=1] [/size] [size=1] A child picks it off the road[/size] [size=1] she put' it in her purse,[/size] [size=1] it was her treasure.[/size] [size=1] [/size] [size=1] Now she is old,[/size] [size=1] she kept the penny safe[/size] [size=1] in a musty old purse,[/size] [size=1] withering away as if in sympathy.[/size] [size=1] [/size] [size=1] When she passed on,[/size] [size=1] the penny sat alone[/size] [size=1] with no one to call upon,[/size] [size=1] no one to hear it.[/size] [size=1] [/size] [size=1] A child finds it,[/size] [size=1] and makes a wish,[/size] [size=1] the penny is cast into the well,[/size] [size=1] falling, to be alone[/size] [size=1] forever.[/size] [size=1] [/size] [size=1] she sinks in the bitter cold water.[/size] [size=1] on a moonlight, winswept night.[/size] [size=1] deeper and deeper,[/size] [size=1] falling into obscirtiy.[/size] [size=1] [/size] [size=1] penny falls to the bottom[/size] [size=1] and there were others,[/size] [size=1] many pennies[/size] [size=1] with wishes attached to them.[/size] [size=1] [/size] [size=1] penny had someone to call upon[/size] [size=1] someone who could listen[/size] [size=1] for on that one forboding night,[/size] [size=1] she found a place called home[/size] [size=1] [/size] [size=1] She stayed there forever[/size] [size=1] with her friends in the deep.[/size] [size=1] until the mighty mushroom cloud[/size] [size=1] took them all away. [size=1] I just saw Jackass the movie with one of my 3 complimentary tickets, and all I can say is, I'm glad it was free. It was hilariously funny for two reasons, it was utterly pathetic and moronic. I enjoy alot of movies that are pathetic, they give me something to laugh at. :laugh: I enjoyed alot of the skits though, such as [spoiler] the mother and the crocodile in her house [/spoiler] Silly, stupid, appaling and plotless. I guess you can't really expect much in the way of movies from MTV. Still though, for a free movie, it was a great laugh. Not something I would pay to watch, thank god I didn't. What are your thoughts on the Jackass movie? Where did they come up with this trash? [/size]

[size=1] At the top of your windows browser should be a menu which says "tools", select it and drop down the menu to "internet options" In the general tab there should be a sub section labelled "Temporary Internet Files", you should see a button there which says "clear cookies" Simply select this, and your cookies will be gone. That's Internet explorer anyway, If you have something else, like Mozilla or Opera, the I don't know, I guess they're relatively similar. Alternatively you can go into your windows folder located on the Hard drive, and find the system 32 folder, there should be a cookies folder inside it, clear it as if you were deleting other junk. cookies look like and act like text files. You can even open them and look at the code through notepad. [/size]

[size=1] I've heard some very wicked punk cover tunes from Me first and the Gimme Gimmes, who I first learned of through p2p file sharing. Their best hits are Somewhere over the Rainbow Wild World Rainbow Connection One tin Soldier Runaway Who Put the Bomp? Phantom of the Opera Most of these tunes i have downloaded, there seems to be a bit of confusion as to who they really belong to, So i don't know for sure who does them, If I did, I'd buy their CD's probably. There are wicked punk covers of Go your own way Paint it Black - Semjaza mentioned that one Have you ever seen the rain Spiderman Theme Song Eye of the Tiger Sweet Home Alabama There are a couple I've heard at the movies Freddy got Fingered - I've got to be me (in one of the last scenes). Bowling for Columbine - What a Wonderful World(DVD Title screen and end credits). EDIT: I just found put this song is covered by joey Ramone from the Ramones, It's a good song well worht checking out. That's all i can think of right now. EDIT: I've checked the list of artists and songs that po up when I search for punk cover tunes. Apparently A Newfound Glory does california Dreaming, NO! Me First and The Gimme Gimmes do it! If you get songs via the p2p way, don't rely on the artists it says. [size=1] I enjoy the techo remixes of classic songs. It's become my latest musical hobby lately. Finding techno remixes of some old songs. They sound really cool. As far as mainstream original content, I have a CD from this guy called darude, his music is wicked [/size]

[size=1]My OB Name is an anime Character, I had just started watching an anime called Neon genesis Evangelion, and Shinji Really appealed to me, then i remembered that i could be mistaken for the infamous Shinji of V2, so I also used his last name "Ikari". I was going to use what the suffix the name with in the Japanese translation "kun" I understand that there is now a "Shinji-kun" on the boards. My, previous name, s@bretooth, was an X Men character, the @ was an attempt at putting some irreverence into the name. I've gone off using characters like that in user names now. Shinji Ikari is also the Beast who shouted I at the heart of the world, Rising Sun, my anime series, is that beast. I'll leave that up to you to figure that one out. [/size]

[size=1] Kind of reminds me of this time when we went out to a batch for a holiday out in Kaikoura, north of Christchurch, which had this out house for a toilet. [size=1] They used a similar jingle over here to promote the Kiwiburger. That's right, they made a burger out of our national icon, and an endangered native bird. It had that at the end of it, "Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a seasame seed bun!" I enjoyed it. :p [/size]

Like I could predict in a person "an emotional trauma" This desn't explain alot, and a person being "mediated" could easily apply it to anything that's happened to them in the heat of the moment. I watched an interesting movie called deterrence today. It predicted a showdown with the U.S and Iraq over another invasion of Kuwait in 2008. [size=1] I think a yaoi based on Rising Sun (my anime series)has the potential to be very funny. Personally I wouldn't get so uptight about Yaoi, after all, it's just fan art. If they want to depict Rising Sun Characters as lovers. I wouldn't exactly agree, but I wouldn't be making a suggestion here that all yaoi be banned either. Like James said, We wouldn't want to impede on the rights of other board members. Basic Storyline: An evil dictator has aruisen and taken over the united nations, he sets out to take the world over, and this isn't your average psychopathic madman out for world domination storyline. Simply because he does it Subliminally, with miracles like fire falling from the sky, and the removal of all nuclear weapons from the earth. He generally subdues the populous of earth into believing his lies about uniting for the greater good. There are a few people who know of his lies, and the fact he only wants to control the world, not help it. They embark on a quest to take him down, by any means possible, and bring a real peace and new world order across not by some weird miracles and healings, but by love, that which bind all humans together in the eternal struggle for reasoning.
