Kuja came back to the cave and threw down his crimson Century Gothic text cloak in fury. "What a cheap shot!" Kuja exclaimed as he pounded his fist on the cavern wall. "Whoa, take it easy there," Nomura replied, startled at the noise and fury of it all. "Shouldn't this count as godmodding?" Kuja continued, his eyes raw bloodshot with jihadist fury. "They're counter terrorist aren't they, should they not be required to counter-terrorise?" Kuja retreated to his spot at the back wall. "By the way," he said, after taking a breath or two,"I'm not The Kuja anymore, I'm...." That's when "Kuja" felt the cold steel of Japan's blade at his throat. "Wha, whoa Japan, what the f...." "You're not going to betray Charles and the cell, are you?" Japan enquired. This is when "Kuja" noticed the body of MadHat, who had obviously crossed someone the wrong way. "Uh, no." "Kuja" whispered. "I'm...I'm more like Soundwave than Starscream... The terror cell is like my family." Kuja felt the blade relieved from his throat and felt comfortable enough to breath again. "I mean that, I would like to be Jeremiah again." Japan nodded her understanding. Jeremiah went to request an audience with the mad king, for he had some important issues to discuss with him. They had thrown everything but the kitchen sink at the fun wreckers and now it was time to do just that. Jeremiah had been meeting with the two mercenaries, Kitchen Sink (creator of "Six degrees of Wikipedia") and LadiesMan217 (the new dude with the attitude.) He could secure their services, should the mad king desire them.

How could he have done this? My mind spun into a frenetic confusion. Gavin had done it, betrayed his friends for the proverbial thirty pieces of silver. Judas Iscariot would be proud. Still, the beast would feed well tonight on his treacherous soul. Damn. Sounds like he managed to get away. Bastard. Still, the cause had been boosted significantly by the recruitment of both Sephroth and the "F" Stick. You're overreacting old man. Sure, Gavin's betrayal had cut deep, but it had in no way destroyed the cause. Have faith, everything will work out. The beast would feed all in good time. Traitors are destined to meet their God-given fate. Turn down the right alleys in OtakuBoards, and you can find anything. Turn down that one. There's a car there you can steal. Borrow, permanent loan, whatever helps you sleep. Get to your inbox, pick up your directives. Be the best terrorist you can be. Prove yourself old man. Prove that you are more than a multi-username hack... Most of all, make the OBCTU pay for nearly convincing you to sacrifice Nomura to the beast.

Kuja took some time to digest the news. Surely this could not be! Kuja felt hollow as he pondered the list of suspects. Rai al Haswiri? Not Nomura? Gavin? Each of them highly respected members of the cell, each of them were operatives of the highest regard. It made Kuja's blood boil to think about it, he was certain that intelligence must be faulty. Still, did it not make more sense? Kuja stroked his now-lengthening stubble, he had only decided to grow out a beard upon his conversion to Napslam and it was taking quite well. Still, that didn't matter right now. This wasn't Extreme Makeover: Terror Edition, this was war. Kuja started over... Of course it made sense! There was no point infiltrating the cell, if your informant was going to be nothing more than a mere bottom-rung lackey! Kuja though it over. It couldn't be Rai, even OBCTU scum would not sabotage themselves, just to prove they fit in, right? Such a compellingcase for hentai could not have come from OBCTU, surely they wouldn't have risked shooting off their own foot for want of getting a mole into the highest ranks. Gavin did not seem like the kind of brother who would betray his friends. Kuja kenw that, through it all, Gavin had maintiained a strong Roma Catholic faith. Surely Gavin would not have sold out his friends for the proverbial thirty pieces of silver? Then Kuja's eyes shifted to Nomura, who had already been accused twice before. "Tell me," Kuja said breakign his stoic silence. "Did you not just say that, in effect, you had become useless to the OBCTU because you failed to shed any more information?" "Uh, yes, but you have taken me out of context, you've got me all wrong!" Nomura shouted, the accusations were piling up. she was under pressure and that slip of the tongue earlier could have cost her dearly. Kuja's eyebrows raised. Perhaps Nomura had slipped in her defence, perhaps this was a mistake. Yet, Kuja did not have any reason to doubt Rai, or Gavin, so it came down to Nomura, who had said this. He made his way to the center of the room, and looked Nomura straight in the eyes. He took some time to think things over one more time before putting in his two cents. "I accuse Nomura of being a CTU spy!" Kuja boldly stated as he pointed his thinning finger at Nomura. He had only decided to starve on a fast since converting to the way of Napslam, but that didn't matter right now. This was not Extreme Makeover: Terrorist Edition, this was war. And it was about to get very, verey interesting. Kuja gave one final look of dissapointment, before leaving the middle of the room to join the ranks on the outside. Confident that the traitor would be caught, confident that the beast would feast on the turncoat, all in good time.

Technically Rachmaninoff, you have to choose either of the two options. But since your questions are better, I'm going to go with them. I would rather be deaf than blind. I could cope with having to deal with either should the unthinkable happen, but losing my vision scares me the most. I enjoy vision. I love taking in the sights of the world at large, from spectaular sunsets, to films heavy with special effects and eye candy etc. I enjoy the sound of the world at large too, but I would much rather keep my vision intact and lose my hearing. I'm willing to bet that a musically minded person such as yourself would be the opposite to me. ;) ---------------------------- Okay so two people replied in the time it took to write my response (well, I changed my mind a few thosuand times!) So in answer to DB's better questions... I would rather have my hair burned off than see everything I wrote drew or created burn. I have put alot of time an effort into the art that I have created and the stories that I've written, too much to see it all burn for nothing! Besides, hair grows back. If my hair could not grow back, I'd still choose to say goodbye to it and keep all my art and writing. Would you rather... Have a curse upon you that meant everything you wrote was written backwards, or... Have a curse upon you that meant every time you said the clich'e "at the end of the day," a lead paperweight fell on your head?

White, here is your Bible quote put into the context fo surrounding scripture. It was Jacob's reaction to a dream that theLORD gave him. Genesis 28:16-18 Then Jacob woke up and said,"Surely the LORD was in this place, and I wasn't even aware of it." He was afraid and said, "What an awesome place thi is! It is none other than the house of God-the gateway to heaven!" The next morning he got up very early, he took the stone he had used as a pillow and set it upright as a memorial pillar. Then he pured olive oil over it. He named the place Bethel-"The house of God"- though the name of the nearby village was Luz. Jiazu, in a way, this is a church, or temple if you will. The rock becomes a place of worship. However, the building is not as important as the people who worship there. As you can see from this passage, this exact place of worship is noting but an olive-oil covered rock. The book of Acts records that the early church met together in houses, and one of the most epic events in church history, the Pentecost, happened while the believers met in a house. God does not wait for fancy cathedrals to dispense his blessings upon his people. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with worship in a nice Cathedral. It's just not meant to be the focus of attention. Matthew 24 records that the disciples were quick pointing out to Jesus the splendid structures of worship that the people had built, but Jesus was more focused on getting his message of the end times across. I believe that the people and their salvation matter most to God, and the buildings, they are material and thus, secondary.

I never really though of running away as a kid. I had no real reson to, since I get along real nice with my family. I have thought about what life would be like now, as a grown adult, if I just hit the road and never returned. I'm sure I could set up a new life in another town, find amother job and live out a new life somewhere where I couldn't be found. It's an interesting thought, but it is purely an entertainment purposes thought. My family is good to me, and despite some differences that happen, like, in every family, we're as close as you can be. I have no real reason to vanish without warning, and setting up in a new town or country with a new job would more likely be family-assisted than family avoidance.

Long may our cause stand true!

Shampoo commercials. While I genuinely enjoy a "so awful it's hilarious" commercial like the one Chibi described, Shampoo commercials are not entertaining, even in the "so-awful-its-hilarious" category. Shampoo commercials just try too damn hard, and are always boring as hell. My hatred for shampoo commercials deepended when I became a collector of classic advertising dating from the 80's to today, and I realised that the shampoo commercials today are exactly the same (in direction and imagery)as the ones they showed in the yesteryears! Shampoo commercials. Try too hard. Suck real hard. Same old tard. Worst. Commercials. Ever!

Otakupedia Entries/Suggestions/Discussion thread

Transtic Nerve Transtic Nerve was a regular member of these boards from the early days of V1 to the early days of V7. He originally signed up to the boards in order to teach "dubbies" a thing or two about the true, orignal Dragonball Series. His knowledge of the Dragoball universe was impressive, and this led quickly to Transtic's first position with OtakuBoards as a Dragonball forum moderator.During his time as moderator of the Dragonball forum, he made clear his preference for the original Japanese version of the show and his comtept for the funimation english translation dubs, which he was at pains to point pout were watered down significantly from the orignial. Transtic Nerve's pet peeve was the incessant rumours of a Dragonball AF series to follow on from GT, and he made a sticky thread specifically designed to tackle this issue before any more threads based on the rumour were given time to develop. Transtic Nerve was declared the winner of OtakuBoards' first ever banner design competition, taking top honours following a banner-a-day rotation consisitng of the entires posted to the competition. Transtic Nerve kept the Dragonball forum in tip-top shape, cracking down on the slightest hint of spam or unworthy topics. He was eventually promoted to Otaku Lounge to moderate the general discussion on the boards when he had got sick of moderating Dragonball. He saw out the rest of his time as a staff member moderating the Lounge. Transtic Nerve was perhaps best known as OtakuBoard's first openly gay member, and for most of his active time on the boards, he had the message, "Let's get this straight... I'm not." in his signature. Transtic Nerve was cited by other members, who later came out, as their inspiration. Some even went so far as to quote Transtic's iconic "Let's get this straight..." message into their signatures one they had come out. Transtic nerve had a "take-no-nonsense" personality, and thus, he was often crude at times. He wasn't afraid fo being harsh and biting in his moderation decisions, which did alienate him from some members on the boards who felt he crossed the line. He did, however, remain a respected moderator owing to his refusal to back down in the face of his detractors. Transtic left the boards shortly after V7 was implemented, following the loss of his mpoderating duties (owing more to a general refreshing of the staff than anything else), and a spat with PoisonTongue (he had objected to PT's attempts to psycholanalyse him) which resulted in Transtic Nerve recieving a ban warning. Following this warning, Transtic removed himself from the forums and concetrated on his MyOtaku, where he could say what he wanted without fear of being banned. He has not posted on the OtakuBoard's since. -

The only thing I like about Geisha skin is the nifty rollover animation for the reply button. OB Standard's reply button roolover is sharper. But overall, Geisha's purple just never appealed to me. I guess the real burning question I have right now is... Since Century Gothic has been ditched, what is the new OtakuBoards font?

Yes Treble. We terrorists are a vicious lot, but don't mistake this for a sign that our cause is not noble. ;) I know what I need... More crimson! The logo I made for our Jihad reminded me of a series of beer commercials we have over here. I like your one, Boss, with a badass Chuck Norris, where can you go worng? Anyhoo, this is my latest creation. It was originally going to be a Reservoir Dogs parody, but by the time I got to the illustrations, I had decided to give one last parting tribute to "well, it got me through the hard times" MS Paint. This is my return to photoshop, but you wouldn't know it. ;) I named the file "honeybunch". What planet do I come from? Here is my new desktop. My computer with everything on it blew up, leaving me with olde budget rip-off flea market compy with nothing on it. Therefore, this was created in MS Paint o_O, then converted to a jpg with a jpg converter, because ole compy can't "save as.."^_^; Then, after uploading to imageshack, I find that the trial software jpeg converter comes with a nag as well as a time limit. >_< I'm starting to feel like "Gil" bin Laden. Can nothing go right for ole Gil bin Laden? -
Kuja has returned. His newer, more reliable Windows XP laptop blew up, so he has been forced underground to accomplish his task in... MS Paint. *dun dun duuun!* Actually, I had a heap of fun in "back to basics" mode. I'd be enjoying it more if I hadn't lost a thosuand dollar computer and all. Laptop blows up..... Working with basic MS paint and a fossilised computer. Man, I'm a terrorist in a cave, I am feeling it!

It is just a building to God. If the Church of England wants to get upset over something, let it be the injustice in the world, slave labour, let it be the millions of children in Africa dying of AIDS. . A video game set in a Cathedral? The Church has more pressing issues at hand. What Would Jesus Do? He would be more concerned about that poor family down the street that can't afford a loaf of bread, than spending millions fighting a gaming company because they set a violent game inside a Cathedral. Come on.
As for avatars...I would like to incorporate larger avatars on the new site, but I would feel bad for all the people who contributed to our current library. Perhaps we can just open up a thread before the launch so that members can start a brand new library or something. :catgirl:
There's also the option of resizing the avatars. Quite a mammoth task, I know. But if you had a team working on that, it might work. ^_^ That is, of course, if the avatar increase isn't big enough that the avatars pixellate when blown up. My, that would be quite horrid. ;)
Kuja: The orientation of your laptop screen and the quality of the ambient light only matter when you're matching colors by eye (NEVER DO THAT), not when you're using the Eyedropper tool. Always use the Eyedropper tool (or whatever its equivalent is) to sample colors. Then take the time to view the color information and note the color's hexadecimal code. That hexcode corresponds to the exact shade you must use to make the transition between the preceding image to your submission look seamles.
Thanks for the tip, Delta. I have been using the eyedropper tool and going to flood-filling the area directly from that sample. So I guess it is the rate of compression that I used, I just kept Photoshop's default image compression rather than ramping it up to max. I'll do that in future.

Yes. Hentai stole the show here because members actually want a fourm. But for the sake of a few graphics nuts, plus the fact that that one suggestion has been blasted to death, I will now knuckle down into the secondary point of this thread. The image size rues are eccentric and outdated old rules, they were revolutionary in a bygone era, but have staled over time. These boards have increased image size on a number of occasions, coinciding with stronger internet connections and the ability of forum software to integrate the different image sizes. A little history lesson: Back when the forum started to use VB software, the OtakuBoards did not allow images in sigs at all. The [img] tage was only useful for posting images within posts. Eventually, the rules were relaxed to allow images in sigs . Avatars have had a long history of size restriction relaxation. The original max size for an avatar was 50x50, and you could only have a bigger one if you were a mod. Later, this was seen as favourtism, and wiped for a universal 80x80 avatar restriction that tidied up the look of the forum quite a bit. With the advent of OtakuBoards V7, the size limit was relaxed again, allowing users to implement a 150x80 avatar. The forum's image size has changed over time for a couple of reasons. Firstly, internet connections by and large have become more reliable over the years. Secondly, the forums have changed their layout and the avatar limits reflect that. This is especially true in V7, where you can have a rectangle avatar because it is located on the top of the postbit, rather than the sidebar. However, the banner size has remained a rigid 500x100 pixel limit. Despite the fact that v7 has a longer postbit, and the banners would not be strecthing the forum layout. All we want is a relaxation of the rules to reflect where the forum is at in capability and style. We can have a longer or somewhat higher rectangle in the avatar section without stretching the user information panel out. We can have larger images in sigs without stretching out the postbit. I don't want a 600x1000 banner, but I do at least want those in charge to look at the possibility of a reasonable 600x200. Or even just a 550x195, nothing too drastic. :) It's time to give this some serious consideration.

[strike]Jeremiah[/strike] Kuja stepped back into the cave after re-uniting with BabyGirl in the outer forum. He had a cat-who-stole-the-cream look about him, and he was acting as if high on some form of substance. "Welcome, my brother" Came that familiar Iish accent that signified the presence of Gavn. "You look like you're high on some form of substance." "I am," said the Kuje. "I'm high on Baby Girl!" He whistled as his eyes welled into those big shiny anime ones you see on anime. "Baby Girl is back?" Gavin exclaimed. He remembered her fondly, but perhaps not as fondly as Kuja. "Yes. She's back." Explained Kuja, "Lady Macaiodh too. Adam's Angels are re-uniting. And they're reuniting with us, against those rule pharisees and fun wreckers. Truly this is a glorious day fro our cause! :excited: "I see" said Gavin as Kuja returned to his bunker to retrive guns and inflammatory post bits for use later on, happy in the knowledge that he could take his time and keep Baby Girl on the mind... The jihad was easily winning the victory for the righetous placement of hentai on the board. Surely if this thread were to go on any longer, the freedom fighters would only gain more territory while the OBCTU flailed about, becoming ever more desperate and reckless by the day.

Lady M has a good point, and it's not only because she is really really, really really, good looking. Anime Lounge is not suitable as a long-term home for hentai discussions because we are dealing with mature material. A seperate forum, visible only to the over-18's, is really the only viable option here. Come on guys, the mod staff has had it's secret Yaoi forum for how long? Surely a mod is available that can restrict acess to a forum to the over 18's, and the juvenile members need not know of it's existence. (negating the argument that member will lie about their age for acess.) Think of it like a video store. You know, one that has a little curtain, right down the back, and behind that little curtain.....:excited:
