Yep. Lol. This thread has been around forever. I remember that I started it but didn't, so I remembered things wrongly. Hehehe. Anyways, I am really excited about the new TV series of Clone Wars. Should be a step up from that clumsy looking 2D one they did. I'm only hoping that they will finally give the fans something they have been pining for in the years following the NT release; Jar-Jar Stinks chopped to a bajillion pieces and incinerated during the "galactic fuel shortage" on Tatouine! I hear Gungans burn well, and are a great supply of fuel.
Wow! It's been so long since I've posted in my home, Otaku Lounge! I wonder if anyone remembers me!
I remember you. Do you remember me? I roll as Jeremiah now but I used to post as Kuja. We had fun time, aye? Anyway. I reckon you oughta post up yer pics, then everyone in this thread will know what true LOVE feels like! Damn have I missed u! -
IMO, I think you should put up a hentai forum. After a week at the most, everyone who fought for one will realize that it's nothing more than "oh yeah, baby, that was hot when x did the y right on the z using the iron lid with the casket for SSJ4." How one can hold a meaningful discussion about porn is beyond me.
Does it need to be a forum for discussion? I'd be quite happy if it was merely a forum that catered for the posting of fap worthy images. Things don't need to be deep, meaningful and life changing here in order to secure a place amogst our community. Look at caption contests. Check out he graphics worm, which has it's own section. Neither of which generate much discussion but are popular nontheless. A hentai forum doesn't have to be discussion-based in nature. It will be popular because it's porn. Fappin' good porn if I do say so myself. :excited:

I don't mind at all. thanks for fixing that up for me. So I guess my trick of dubling the canvas size and placing the two images side by side isn't going to work? I need to eyedrop sample them somehow because my laptop screen doesn't always accurately reflect true colours. (it's dependent on light in the room, plus the angle the screen is opened to affects brightness and contrast significantly.) Any tips or tricks to ensure I get it right next time? ><
I'm glad that so many people picked up on the Naps the Cat theme. But there can be only one winner, and that's Rachmaninoff, that line fitted so perfectly with the picture. OK Rach take it away.
I refused to make light of our great martyr. Naps was gray.

You cannot simply "begone" the Blue Jihad. The beast will eat you alive.
There were twenty individual points, each one nullifying an argument you yourself had presented before it. The longest two were the discussion of whether or not you have the 'right' to hentai here (you do not) and the discussion of whether or not small banners are unfairly artistically restrictive (they are not).
Yawn. *zzzzzzz*
this discussion is over, and your points lay as fallen, destroyed.
The old Iraqi information minister would be proud... For you claim victory while your forces collapse. I tell you, the liberation of the mad king and his followers has triumphed here, we are but a stones throw away from achieving our goals! The pharisees of the archaic laws are doomed to fail. They fight for a war already lost. The sisters vulgarity and profanity have already found homes here! They nestle amongst you creative arts, in role playing and in print! An embargo on hentai forums and larger banner images is simply those pharisees and keepers of the archaic laws holding on to the little power they still hold. They fear us, fear our newfound freedoms, and most of all, fear what rulers fear the most. Relegation to mere ceremonial roles. Tree planting, ribbon cutting, ceremonial roles. We're taking you there, my friend. Brush up on your ribbon work. Finally, some words of wisdom...
Why don't we just call quits for this debate, then? There's not.... *crackle^Shhzzz**chkk**** going to be great CTU revival, we are doomed. Let's just accept the fate that has been brought upon our heads, and slink away. Okay?

Your image is 599x450. Please make it 600x450. Also, the shades of green and red don't match with the previous entry.
Okay, everything should be in order now. I replaced the missing pixels. I am not sure why the colours didn't match up, since I sampled the original colour straight from DigitalBoy's submission. Hopefully saving it in the same format will iron out the kinks.
Are you afraid, then, of seeing each and every one of your previous arguments so easily destroyed? Then you doubly discredit yourself, and you have lost already. Until you rebut my attacks, you cannot be taken seriously. If you wish this to progress beyond the current immaturity that you and yours seem to have a penchant for, answer my challenge.
Can you blame Charles for not wanting to wade through a post that waffles on longer than a Microsoft end user license? Are you sure that there aren't points in your bloated sermon that doubled up on a previous point in the last chapter? Concerning bigger things; I'm on a 56k modem, and I support the relaxation of image sizes for banners and avatars. This slow-connection member wishes not to be a martyr for your cause. I don't mind waiting another minute for a page to load if it means that the memberbase has an appropiate size limit that they can display their creativity with. It's a small price to pay for graphic coolness. Won't somebody please think of the [strike]children[/strike] coolness?

Reason is on the side of the holy warriors. The great satan trips over it's own faulty and illogical fun taking rules, and is powerless in the light of the truth we behold to it's disillusioned membership! We stand strong as they quake and quiver, knowing that they have but a short time left to peddle their heathen wretchedness. Victory is ours, the righteous Jihad will overcome! I am honoured to join the campaign to liberate the boards from the fun stealers and wreckers. Napsahu Akhbarrr!

The membership of the forum has matured significantly since it's founding way back in the early 2000's. Members have grown up here, and newer members tend to be already in the older age range when joining. OtakuBoards' has always grown with the memberbase. Remember a time when swearing was prohibited in all corners of the site? Now it is prevalent in creative writing, and role playing. OtakuBoards rose to the occasion and grew up with it's memberbase the day it relaxed the rules on swearing in relation to creative works. The idea was nearly transferred over to the boards as a whole no too long ago. A hentai forum would be just like that. It would be another step in the boards evolution to grow up with members who have themselves grown up. We need to realise that OB has become a hub of adult and mature discussion, and that a hentai forum would not be so out of line around here anymore. The members who want such a forum are not suggesting we allow Otaku Lounge to be bombarded with hentai galore, we just want a little corner where we can enjoy and appreciate this underrated medium. Anyone who doubts the pulling power of such a forum would be invited to count how many roleplaying games are marked with a rating tag that looks like this: [M-VSL] There is no denying it. The membership is gagging for sexytime. Bigger Things: I can only agree that this board needs a bigger size limit for it's avatars and banners. The current size limit for banners is a relic of the pre-V7 days when the display area for posts was smaller. It needs to be relaxed so that those of us who want a banner that stretches the length of the postbit can do so again! The avatar needs to be at least twice the size. A good avatar is one that can stop a reader engaged in conversation dead in their tracks, in admiration for the stunning artwork laid there before their eyes. How is this possible with a puny 150x80 size limit? This is the broadband internets now. Image restrictions should accurately reflect that.

Request OtakuBoards Newspaper Banner Request
TheShinje replied to Aaryanna_Mom's topic in Creative Works
My design for the banner is b ased on a more traditional newspaper look. I had fun with this. :) The latin comes from my own local newspaper. It's translation is quite funny. -

I got out of school once by virtue of accidentally spiking my wrist with a chisel in shop class. The funniest part about the whole ordeal was the councillors and concerned school teachers checking up on my mental state, thinking I had done this on purpose. It took 3 stitches in all to stop that baby bleeding. Hurr hurr. -_-

Nope. Gavin's the winner. When you've won one and you're juding the winner, you can pick whoever you like, savvy?

Says one kid to the other: Hey, if I stand alone, I'll get pwnd. But if we stand together we can form a mighty fagot!* fagot noun a bundle of sticks and branches bound together as fuel [syn: fagot] Says the other kid to the one: We ain't sharing rooms anymore! * This part is shamelessly ripped off The Simpsons. :p

If they are going to put the boot into your reputation like that, stuff them. Sever ties and cut them out immediately. They're not worth the extra grief and strife when you're trying to care for your grandmother at this most difficult time. Just dont give them the time of day to peddle their rubbish.

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, start to finish. I didn't think that there was too much comic releif, I felt the balance between comic releif and all out action was well balanced. You got the laughs in all the right places, and the action to boot. One nitpick though,
the demise of the Kraken.
What happened there? It was quite a shame to see this event explained away by couple of
"Oh, look, a dead Kraken, oooih!"
lines. All in all, a very good flick, made special by the superb cast and character interaction. Jack Sparrow and Captain Barbossa could carry a fourth Priates film in their own right. It's clear that the two characters have a lot of history and this could be explored to greater depths with a fourth film, I mean, if they get a good story, a good reason to come back and do a fourth, there's no reason not to consider it, right? Elizabteh and Will would have to return in the foruth movie.
I'm sure Will's new role as the captain of the Flying Dutchman could be explored, and Keira Knightley is too sexy to be left out of the next one, she's an awesome pirate king too.
I'd give Pirates 3 a generous 8.5/10. Because I'm easily impressed.
