Na-na-na-na-na! NEO! Na-na-na-na-na-na-na! SPORIN! NEO! SPORIN! Nanana... *ROTFLMAO* This has got to be one of the funniest movies I have ever seen, although I would agree that, for one thing, the movie sometimes overdid it, and that you either loved it or unloved it. But I'd have to say that KUNG POW ranks right up there in the top comedy ranks. Especially the part in the bush! *Chicken go cluck-cluck, cow go moo...* Betty's minion: *Cucaw! Cucaw!* Betty-*I'm just a little birdy, too!* ~see what I mean? Okay, so it's not the best example, but just see it if you haven't already! If you did, see it again!:tasty: :demon: Saiyan Out :demon:

I was just wondering if anyone else out there had read Dante's Inferno, Purgatorio, or Paradiso (or Paradisio, I'm not sure :D) If so, what'd you think of it? And why? I think it'd be an interesting debate as to the book's quality. :demon: Saiyan Out :demon:

Personally, I don't think it's about too much tv. Maybe it's just that it's the coolest and easiest way to imagine certain things. Emphasis on Coolest. :demon: Saiyan Out :demon:

Actually, it did release in the US (unfortunately), and I have seen the movie. Although the werewolf guys looked cool, the rest of the movie was quite boring. At least the ending had a bit of a twist... Or not. If I had to give this movie a grade, I'd flunk it. :demon: Saiyan Out :demon:

Anime Cartoon Network Line-Ups...and anime on television announcements
Shinken replied to Syk3's topic in Otaku Central
Does anyone know if Dragonball GT is going to be on CN? :demon: Saiyan Out :demon: -
I was just wondering if anyone here practices Martial Arts. If so, what style, and how long? :demon: Saiyan Out :demon: EDIT: Myself, I've been thinking of taking up Kenjutsu or Tae Kwon Do. Probably Kenjutsu.

Out of the given choices, the Aston Martin DB5 is my favorite. But my overall favorite car would have to be the Pontiac Grand Am GT. They're faster than all heck, and they look sweet, that they do. My second favorite car is the Dodge Neon. We've got one of those, and let me just say that it is the only non-human object I have ever deemed "sexy". :demon: Saiyan Out :demon:

In my opinion, most of the good that people do is out of the knowledge that it is something that they should do, and that the reward at the end of it all, the "good feeling", is simply automatic. It just might be nature's way of giving us a reason to do some good. Peace. :demon: Saiyan Out :demon:

Whenever I write a story, I tend to visualize the characters and action in an anime point-of-view. Does anyone else do this, or do I just need to see a psychiatrist? :demon: Saiyan Out :demon:

I'd have to agree with the fact that Budokai isn't exactly up to par in the whole fighting mechanics area, but as for the whole DBZ thing... It rocks!!! :excited: The Story Mode is awesome, the graphics and sound are superb, and, despite their simplicity, the moves are awesome! For example, check out Trunks' Finish Buster Attack; besides blowing up the world, the way he performs it is also cool (those are some fast hands! Wonder how good he is at poker...)! If I had to give this game a grade, I'd give it an 85%. The game itself makes up for the simple mechanics. Vegeta Rocks!!! :demon: Saiyan Out :demon:

Anybody like Rurouni Kenshin? If you haven't heard of it, it's on Cartoon Network right now. It's about a wandering swordsman named Kenshin, who used to be known as Batosai the legendary man-slayer:devil:. He gained this moniker by fighting for the Imperialist government during the Revolution in Japan that eventually led to the Meiji Restoration. After realizing all the pain he had caused, Kenshin disowned the name Batosai, vowing never to kill again. Adopting a reverse-blade (non-lethal) sword and using the legendary Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu style, Kenshin wanders the countryside of Japan, defending the innocent and gaining new allies along the way (ex: Sanosuke). Sounds cool, huh? This anime is fast-paced, full of action, comedy, and just a little romance. Also, the music for the series is great. I especially like the ending song, "Heart of Sword". (For some MIDI files of the music, go to www.animelyrics.com/anime/kenshin, and download the files marked M. I recommend Heart of Sword.) :demon: Saiyan Out :demon: PS: Does anyone know if the manga is available in the US?

Yeees! I read Shonen Jump, and I'd have to say my favorite mangas are (in no particular order), Naruto, Shaman King, and DBZ. I like all the other featured manga as well, but these just stand out. Anyone else here read Shonen Jump? Or am I alone again...? :demon: Saiyan Out :demon:

The first anime I saw, along with many others, was Dragonball Z. After the first episode I saw (the one where Raditz nabs Gohan), I looked up Dragonball Z online, and this site was the first I went to. So, I guess that this site is a major factor in my anime affliction. (So is Cartoon Network) :demon: Saiyan Out :demon:

X2 is a must-see movie that you must see! :shifty: As a big fan of the comics, I'm looking forward to this movie with bated breath (and nerdy expectations :glasses: ) Wolverine is my favorite character, and I would really like to see FOX elaborate more on his origins (which I already know, but it'd be great on-screen). :demon: Saiyan Out :demon: (PS: Anyone seen the Dr. Pepper beach commercial? That's some real funny stuff!):rotflmao:

Acutally Syk3, you might just be able to live in such a building. Aside from the Sky City 1000 Project in Tokyo, a similar building is already undergoing construction in China. I'm not sure on the specifics, but it appears that it may be completed sometime in the next 10-20 years, from what I saw on Discovery. And as for the fire-extinguishing system mentioned by Site Administrator James; Besides the usual fire extinguishing equipment (such as the world's only firefighting helicopter, owned by Japan), it has been scientifically proven that, due to the altitude, the wind itself would blow most of the toxic fumes that result from fire out of the building due to it's design. Personally, I'd definitely risk the (minute) possibility of the building toppling so I could live in such a structure. Hey, we all gotta die someday. It's just a matter of how and why. :demon: Saiyan  Out :demon:

I was watching the Discovery Channel on Saturday, and there was a program about an interesting architectural concept being developed in Japan and China. They've already started construction of basically a vertical city in China. It is supposed to be about a mile high (at least in Japan), with a relatively thin yet stable base, and room for thousands of people. For more information (and some diagrams/pictures/further links), go to www.takenaka.co.jp/takenaka_e/techno/63_sky/63_sky.htm :demon: Saiyan Out :demon:

Personally, I'm looking forward to the Live Animation from FOX. However, I do share everyone's anxiety over the movie's quality. And poor Mr. Popo! He looks like the Chewbacca ripoff from SpaceBalls! Yamcha looks like a pimp, and whoever it is fighting the "crocodile"/foam or rubber head should have a large electrical appliance dropped right in with them. Abandon hope all ye who watch this steaming hunk of excrement! :demon: Saiyan Out :demon:

:smirk: Just wondering if anyone else here subscribes/regularly purchases Shonen Jump. :smirk:

Who else out there thinks that the whole Matrix franchise blows away most other movies out there?! And I'm not just talking about the action in the movie (which, by the way, kicks, for lack of another non-offensive word, butt), but also the intellectual/philosophical aspects of the Matrix. Oh, and one more thing; does anyone know when Animatrix comes out? :ssjSaiyan Out.:ssj

If you ask me, it really depends on the series. Some mangas have a great art style, and, like you said, some anime has good music (for example, Rurouni Kenshin. I really like the end theme!) Oh, and, what does "ORO" mean?

My favorite mech series of all time is a two-way tie between anything Gundam related and Escaflowne, because it had a very good story line (from what I saw of it.)

Boba Fett, you scare me... O_o;;; Another version of the Trekkie thing that I created; "Have an extended life period and attain mass wealth"

One fight I know I ain't ever gonna see is a fight between Solid Snake and Dante, from Metal Gear Solid and Devil May Cry, respectively. Who would you want to see kicking each other's polygons? :wow:

First off, I'd like to say that I enjoyed all the Dragonball Z movies. I'd watch them, enjoying the plot, the action, and occasionally, the music. And then, it happened. I bought "Lord Slug". I popped it into the VCR, sat down, and then I heard soemthing completely different; MUSIC. Not your usual DBZ music. I mean, MUSIC. As in, Disturbed. Deftones. The good stuff. :demon: I bought Cooler's Revenge, and heard more of the same (which ain't bad.) I loved it when I heard Disturbed's "The Game" playing in the background as Goku kicked ***. A few months later, I purchased "Return of Cooler". I again put it in my VCR, and the movie started. I sat down, turned up the volume, and was appalled. It made me want to puke  , to cleanse myself of this... this... THING. Why, you ask? The lack of MUSIC. It was just some guitar music being played at minimum volume in the background. Most of the movie was just silence, not counting the unusually subpar voice-acting. In fact, there was absolutely no music at all during the fights with Cooler (oops...SPOILER!!!). In short, I hope that Funimation decides to bring back Disturbed and the other bands from most of its movies. Does anyone agree with me? Or am I alone in this, as in most of my life?:bawl:
