1. I don't draw so much, but I have at least *counts* geez... I must have at least a dozen OCs that I really love ^_^ - But I write, so rather than sketching, I tend to jot down passages about them in notebooks or whatever. What do these OCs do? Do you have any story ideas for them? Or are they just muses waiting for something to happen to them?
2. I really like your drawings mal... it doesn't matter where I see them ^_^ I can turn round to anyone now and point out your style, it's so unique ^_^ One thing I've noticed is you tend to hide the eyes (or maybe it's just in these drawings) and they're not actually hidden by anything... but they don't look out of place... am I making sense here? *blinks* I really think they're all good. Although I like the first one the best - the shoulders do irk me a little though - and the third one comes a close second. And I like the birthday you picked for the second one ;) meaningful ^_^;; Are these actually for anything? I know you enter contests and whatnot, or are they doodles/muses?
3. Personal goals... hmm... One of them is to study in America... That's a biiiiig part of my future plans. Also to learn Japanese, I don't especially want to go and live there, but languages interest me (I have qualifications in French and German O_o) and I guess it would be fun to talk to people and be able to read their views off paper. I also plan to get a docterate in Computer Science ^_^ And I plan to be an author... I really plan to be an author - even if it's of just one book, that's something I will do. However, I'm talking about all these as though they're things I'll never do. But I'm proud to say most of them are on course. I'm looking into Computer Science courses at universities, I'm taking a Japanese course next year at a college, I reckon I'll be able to take a year of university abroad. So, yeah... ^_^;; I figure I'm good to go with my life! And Zidargh, dreams are things for "you" - whether they sound far-fetched or not is not an issue. If it's "your" dream, and you want it badly enough, you will "make" it happen ^_^ That's true of anyone who has dreams they don't think they can quite reach, they just have to jump that centimeter higher... ;)
4. OOC: Gah... I think I know which temple is the Remiem one... *cringes* Call me rusty! ~~~~ "That WAS NOT FUNNY!!" fuming, Zell eventually managed to untagle himself after they had stopped in front of a large rope bridge. "Have you guys got NO COMPASSION?!" "Hello? I'm still uhh..." The other three almost seemed to completely ignore Zidane. "What do you think Auron? Do we have compassion?" "I'm really not sure, Cecil." Smirking slightly, Auron made a big show of conidering the question. "You could've at least kept that float spell going! I mean GEEZ!!" "Hey! I'm still tied up down here!!" "I mean, I know you both want to win, but there's such a thing as SPORTSMANSHIP!!" "Hey... Zell's turning pink." Chuckling, Auron also nodded. "Suits him..." "Are you guys even LISTENING to me?! You're not listening to me!!" It was Cecil's turn to smirk as he gently petted the Chocobo he was still holding. "We need to give him a coconut Auron." "Oh GEEZ!!" Groaning in frustration, Zell turned to Zidane, who was still wirggling in his bonds. "Help me out here!" "I'M STILL TIED UP YOU IDIOT!!" There was a pause at Zidane's outburst, everyone looking more than a little shocked. Then Zell let off a nervous chuckle as he knelt to untie Zidane. "Oh yeah... So you are..." "So..." continued Cecil after a moment. "As I was saying... any ideas?"
5. Heh, nice banner ^____^ I was floored when I saw it, I didn't really think you were a Harry Potter fan *grins* And, just for the record, I don't find it sick at all *twitch twitch* in fact I find it rather cute ^_^ Although HarryxDraco isn't a pairing I'd really consider *chuckles* But nice one all the same. I like the arrangement of your text in the centre, ingenious! O_o
6. It was pretty quiet... our first "patrol". I honestly don't think they thought anything was going to happen, otherwise they wouldn't have picked us to do it. Why get a couple of untrained kids to do something when you have fighter pilots and squadrons of MS at your very beck and call? But all in all... I'd have to be cliche and say it was "too quiet"... We'd been at it for several hours, the last two having been spent in searching silence. I like the silence sometimes. I get to think about things. I was barely having to think about what I was doing, even the controls were cool in my hands. I sighed, looking around my cockpit, trying to attach uses and meanings to every button and dail I could see. But y'know what? I couldn't... I really didn't have to. See, I already knew Hope like a living breathing person. I didn't have to know "how" she worked technically... just what we shared. That was all that was important. And yes... I'd named her "Hope" -- It's something we needed a lot of in those kind of times, right? "Hey, guys?" "Eh?" I looked up to see who had spoken. ~~~~ OOC: Gah, another shorty... I'm not sure what Walnut's up to O_o That's my excuse! ^_^;;
7. OOC: Gah... apologies aren't really good enough... but I make them anyway ~_~;; ~~~~~ "Y'know... I still don't know what's in here..." Sitting, obediently strapped into his seat in the Ragnarok, Zell prodded the mysterious satchel. Cecil rolled his eyes as Zell fiddled with the clasp. "Which part of 'greatest need' don't you understand?" Amused, the blonde snorted. "Just keep your eyes on the road!" Turning slightly, Cecil glared. "What road would that be?" Shaking his head slightly, and sensing it was safe, Auron stood and moved behind Cecil's chair, pointing out the temple below them. "There... that's where we want to be. And -" Auron turned towards Zell. "-will you STOP playing with that?!" Taken by surprise, Zell almost dropped the satchel, chuckling nervously and nodding. "Whatever you say..." ^_^;; ~~~~~ When they eventually landed and sorted themselves out, Zell became struck by how grand Bevelle was. "Wow..." Auron smiled a little behind his collar. He couldn't agree more. He even nodded when Cecil spoke. "It's amazing..." As they approached the temple doors, Zell spotted that one of them was ajar. And a hauntingly pretty piano melody was spilling out. "Hey... what's that?" Zell watched as Cecil shrugged, and Auron raised an eyebrow, before jogging up ahead of them, keen to find out who was in the temple. Cecil, and even Auron, looked surprised as Zell shouted suddenly, "YO!! ROMEO!!"
8. OOC: Yes... I have been a bad baka... And this isn't really long enough to apologise to Domon for the time I haven't posted... but here's my attempt at a return ^_^ ~~~~~~~ I chuckled, the transmission having come up for me as well. "Name? It's not like a pet or anything!" It weas half-hearted and mocking... I didn't really mean it. I watched the little squares depicting Brant and Noyade as one blushed and one smiled quietly. "I know," said Brant quietly after a slight pause. "But..." "But...?" "I dunno..." he admitted. "It just seems a shame treating them like machines." "They are machines," interjected Frank. But after a pause he continued. "But... I think it's something... else... too, y'know?" "Pfffffft!" How were they getting so sentimental? It was just a machine!! But... I hate to admit it... but I could see where they were going with the idea. My gundam was... well... like an older sister to me already. It was more than a little unnerving really. The way the gentle humming of the thrusters seemed to perfectly match the beating of my heart. But yeah... I'm pretty certain that has a scientific explaination...
9.
Originally posted by Syk3 Wait -- you mean that show on Cartoon Network with cats who piloted those jets? That was an anime? o_O;
*grins* No Syk... The one that you're thinking of was called "Swat Cats" and it was about these two cat-mechanics that secretly had a plane stashed under their junkyard and zoomed out to save the city and whatnot. Their codenames were... urm... T-Bone and Razor... I forget their "actual" names though... O_o Gah! I sense obsession resufacing!! But, as for the thread topic ^_^;; The first anime I *remember* watching was Pokemon - I don't doubt that I'd seen the classics waaaay before that, but I don't remember them (unless Teeange Mutant Hero Turtles counts... gah I was obsessed O_o). But my kick into anime was Gundam Wing... ^______^;; Even if it isn't the best drawn show in the world, I'll stay with Gundam Wing 'til the day I die!
10.
Originally posted by Dragon Warrior Of course, i think you must have a certain amount of posts.
Nope, there's no "post limit" for avatars and such ^_^ -- It's just something you use when you figure out how. I have a friend who's only got 1 post and she's changed her avatar, so yeah... no limit ^_^;;
11. Heh heh, September ^_______^ -- But then again I just broke up on Monday O_o! One more year and then I'll be freeeeeeeeee @.@ -- then I get to go to university ~_~;; bleh! Some things just have no justice to them!
12. *laughs* Well... I'm a Scot by birth, but English by breeding... if that makes sense? I also survived a stint in Germany (don't ask me how O_o) And someone mentioned fetishes? I think the sterotypical English fetish would be "tea" *pulls faces* and the sterotyical Scottish fetish would be haggis... but I could be wrong O_o I dunno... Oh yeah, and just for the record: peaches are yummy! ;)
13.
aYokano's sig ^_^ If you do have mooattitude and wish to become a mooattitude follower, there is no need to private message me. In order to be recognized by the great one, you must prove your cattitude.
Heh... we all knew it was a rip off :p Anyway ^_^;; I think Charles gets my vote... just... gah... I fell off my chair when I first read it O_O!
14. My shopping "addictions" mostly consist of anime... which is rediculously overpriced... I once spent £20 (about $30 I think) on an RPG rulebook... One I'm probably never going to play. I like reading it, and making up characters... and the pictures are pretty, but I guess all in all it was an impulse buy (and I've bought several more of them since then O_o at least £100 worth!) Yeah, anime, rpg books and manga -- that's where my money tends to go ^_^;;
15. One of the funnier things to happen to me recently... wasn't the funniest ever... but it's the first one that springs to mind... Doukeshi03 and I were staying at Kal's one night (we know each other offline ^_^), and we went out to get food. This was pretty much the conversation: Kal: Baka, what do you want? Me: FOOOOOOD! Kal: ¬_¬;; Yeah... Okay... What kind of food? Me: FOOOOOOOOOD!! Doukeshi: *sweatdrops* Urmm... Kal: I'll only ask this one more time... What do you- Me: FOOOOOOOD!! @.@! Doukeshi: *sighs* It's like babysitting a five-year-old... Me: FOOOOOOD!! Doukeshi: *sternly* Stop saying that or you're getting nothing Me: *silence* Heh... After a few seconds we all cracked up - I kept repeating "FOOOOOD" all night. They got sick of me after a while - can't think why O_o;;
16.
Originally posted by Bishie Here's me thinking me and Braidless Baka were the only ones to refer to staying up all night as "All-nighters' Heehee! thats so cool! people think alike! ^__^ *grins*
Heh... did you honestly think we were? *blinks* I'd always assumed that's what everyone called them O_o *twitch twitch* But no... any holidays I get I'm always on the internet into the wee hours... in fact, I remember once Bishie went offline for an hour so, I set my alarm clock and got up an hour later... this was at something like 4am O_o So... what I'm saying is that all-nighters are rather common for me (or at least staying up reeeeeeally late O_o) because I am valiently fighting a battle against time differences! And I think I'm winning... O_o
17. Heh, my summer only started today O_o -- In Britain our holidays are different to American ones, so I can only guess what I'm going to be doing... Writing, painting cels... playing video games... watching movies... and starting a huge "summer project" (I'm not quite sure what it is yet O_o) making my website work... umm... what else? ANIME! Lots of that ^_^;; Probably getting all my friends together and taking lots of photos ;) you can never have too much blackmail material ^_^ Oh yeah... and working... and homework O_o And somehow I can see this holiday speeding past all too quickly *sighs* Oh well! ^_^;;
18. Hmm... my pet peeve is people apologising... like I've had a really bad day and they say to me "I'm sorry" -- or if there's been a death in the family they apologise for that... I know they're saying they're sorry for me, but it annoys me sometimes anyway O_o;; Oh oh! And! When people burp... I don't mind if they obviously didn't mean to, I mean everyone has to burp at some point. But I hate it when people deliberately burp - not least because I feel physically sick when they do it... that and knuckle cracking... That bugs me to DEATH!
19. I wasn't really thinking of the technicalities when I posted this. Of course it would be hard to do, but I thought that I could just post this here so the idea would be floating around if someone more knowledgeable than me were to suddenly figure a way to do it. A way past the "location" thing could possibly be a drop-down box rather than a field that you type in. Or possibly the timezone settings could be used to determine roughly where someone is. I don't know, I'm just throwing ideas around here ^_^;;
20. I don't really know how viable this kind of thing would be... but I figure it could be kind of interesting... Perhaps a "map" of the world, and if you clicked on a certain country or continent, or whatever, you could find out all the OB users from that particular area... Like, I'm from England, so when you clicked (hovered your mouse, or whatever it was that you had to do) on Britain, or England (whichever) my username would be in the list. I'm not really sure what purpose it would serve, but I figure it would be kind of interesting to find a list of fellow Brits on OB. There's been lots of "meetings" on OB lately too, with cons or whatever... I know that it would be interesting to find out who lives near you.
21. Well... I've gotta say my piece, since I'm loud and garing, and just generally annoying ;) The title "Newbie" doesn't say bad things to me... Because I know from personal experience that a lot of Newbies are perfectly pleasant, wonderful people. I'm in total agreement with Sara's sentiment that Newbie is a state of mind. It's when posts have absolutely no point to them, or just run around like they're in a chatroom, that I get a little bothered. I like that, on OB, because I get to know people as "people" not as titles, since people don't base their responses on, say, the title of the thread starter, for example. And it's always the person behind the title that's important, right? A lovely example would be the double-take I made when I saw Crimson Spider was a Newbie... I seriously never noticed O_o;; I totally don't consider you a "Newbie" CS ;) And for some reason I'd been under the impression that Tasrai had been around forever... O_o;; *pushes her soapbox under the table* Yeah, I'm done O_o;;
22. Just to add "Gestalt" is the German word for "Shape" or "form" or, in the case of a person a "figure" -- Not really sure what that means in relation to .hack though O_o;; *pets three years of German study and her handy dandy German dictionary* ^_^
23. Name: Kenichi Settou Age: 15 Description: A fairly short youth for his age, small and thin, and sporting a large mop of red hair with bright green eyes behind large glasses Personality: hates to lose, and despises people assuming that, because of his size, that he can't hold his own in a battle (or a fight) and is fully eager to prove people wrong. He also has a severe hatred for losing, his competitive streak a painful downfall Bio: As his name perhaps implies, Ken's family are Japanese, however this heritage stems a loooooong way back, and western genes have given his family red hair for generations. A basketball fanatic as well as a pokemon fanatic, Ken's family have often seen him as the "obsessive one" -- however, in school his creative talents have earned him numerous awards -- Ken's life has, aside from that, been pretty boring. Go to school, keep your nose clean, and get your grades, type of kid. Pokémon: Pikachu (no nickname), Clefairy (Moonie) Team Alliance: against TB
24. The only time I've found the flood limit to be a problem (that only way I'm aware of it, in fact) is when I'm sending Private Messages. Sometimes I forget to add something on, and have to send another PM. coming up against the flood limit only happened to me once, and it was a little frustrating, since I'd spent the whole 70 seconds solidly typing. But, I don't really mind, since I know it's there now I wait for a few minutes before sending what I want to add. The only suggestion I could make for this would be maybe removing it from PMs, but like I said, it's not really an issue anymore. I just wait a few minutes. ^_^;;
25. Absently, I stared out of the window, the mug warm in my hands. Nothing else had gone wrong that day... In fact, I think I'd done pretty well considering my freaking-out before. That slimey guy had been taking a lot of notes, but I wasn't worried. If I wasn't good enough, I wasn't. It wasn't something I could actively worry about I guess... "Hey... you okay?" I blinked broadly, and turned to see Brant sitting across from me, watching me intently with a worried gaze. "Uhh yeah..." "I've been sitting here for five whole minutes." His tone wasn't accusatory, just a touch worried. I smiled at him. "Just thinking." He lifted his mug up and took a sip from it before setting it down again. "What about?" I looked down, blushing. "Just about how much of a fool I made of myself today." Then I looked up again. "I dunno... Do I come off as a bit crazy to you?" "Crazy?" He paused, his expression thoughtful. "How d'you mean?" I shrugged. What was I saying?! "People just tell me I'm a little... loud... sometimes. I just wondered if I came across that way?" With a shrug, Brant shook his head again. Then he glanced at the mug in my hands. "You going to drink that? It's gonna get cold..." I smiled, and obediently took a mouthful. "I'm not usually a coffee person, to tell you the truth." "Then..." Brant paused. It was almost funny, how puzzled he looked. "Why did you want to meet me for coffee?" I laughed quietly. "You learn to live with the stuff. It almost keeps you sane." At his confused look, I continued with a mild smirk. "I was a bit of a bad student... lots of late night studying for little old Joe, I'm afraid. I'm not stupid... I just hate studying." I made a face before downing another mouthful of coffee. Yeah, it was going cold now, I could feel it coating my throat like some kind of sludge. After that we moved into a discussion of the Gundams, and what we were going to be doing in regards to piloting. I found out that he didn't seem to know much more than me about what we were going to be expected to do. Which was exactly zip, zero, nilch... Absolutely nothing at all...
