Gaming What games would you like to see for GCN?
Sniglefager replied to SaiyanPrincessX's topic in Noosphere
Actuallly, I heard the new mother game might be headed for GBA, but I wouldn't mind seeing it for GC, either -
Heck, I just wish they'd port FFIII to GBA. A lot of people say that's the best in the series. Of course, they are gonna have that new Tactics for GBA, so maybe that'll suit all of your 2D needs

Out of all of them, PS2 will make the most money. But, my favorite's probably GameCube, just because it has all the Nintendo exclusives, like Mario, Metroid and Zelda. I also own a PS2, but I really only bought it for Final Fantasy and Grand Theft Auto. I'm not really interested in XBOX, because (this isn't intended to be harsh) it doesn't really have any good games going for it. Sure, it has Halo, and a few other good titles, but they need to get better exclusives. I will probably buy XBOX,but not until it's down to $100

I just remembered something else. How about training and customizing your own A.I. like in Virtua Fighter 4. Also, I wouldn't really like this, but they could make it a 3D fighter. But, I don't think it'd be nearly as fun as 2D. But everyone wants Ridley in the game. Let me tell you this: I would like to see Ridley, but I really really doubt it. He's too freakin' big. Sure, Bowser's big too, but he didn't have wings. If Nintendo could figure out a way, then I suppose, but....

Paper Mario is an awesome game, and I have to disagree and say it was better than Mario RPG. I do have one problem, though. Why the heck can't Luigi or Yoshi be in your party? I mean, most of the party members are stupid except for Watt and the Lakitu dude. Also, it was too easy, but I was satisfyed with the lenght of the game, and the innovative battle system and badges.

Why do a lot of people seem to think Midway is a bad company. Sure, they've made some, er....... mistakes. But, come on. The Gauntlet series is classic. And, even though the games suck now, I liked the origianal Rampage. I understnad that most of their games belong in the trash, but think of the good memories that they've given us. Well, at least they've given me some, not a lot, but some

I have to agree with Tasis about FFVII. And plus, FFX had no overworld. What the heck?! Anyways, I have to agree with Tasis again that I'm not sure I like the new look, either. FFXI's charecters looked oo to me, but with FF Crystal Chronicles, the charecters just look downright stupid. But, I do have hope for FFXII, considering that this is actually gonna be a true FF game (FFXI is a MMORPG, and FF Crystal Chronicles follows the show in Japan). So, however this game looks, it'll still probably be great. As long as they put an overworld in it this time, then I'll be happy. =)

According to an article originally printed in the LA Times, veteran developer Midway Games could soon be for sale. Midway has been experiencing a dramatic slump in sales over the course of the year, and the possibility of the company being purchased by a larger corporation is very real. Midway has made no statement of a possible sale yet, but inside sources say that it is likely. Both Electronic Arts and Activison have stated that they have no interest in purchasing Midway. This news came from gamers.com, and even thought they have been wrong about some things before, this came out of L.A. Times, so it's more reliable. This does leave a problem for fans of Midway, such as myself. If this story gets updated, I'll be sure to post it.

Gaming What games would you like to see for GCN?
Sniglefager replied to SaiyanPrincessX's topic in Noosphere
Actually, there's gonna be a GBA sequal to Kirby tilt 'n tumble, and it'll be able to hook up with GC. Anyways, the games I would like to see are: A new Mario All Stars, with all the ones from the first one, and maybe Mario 64(or just a remake of Mario 64 would be nice, too) A new Yoshi game, but not like that crappy Yoshi's Story. A GOOD Dragon Ball Z game A Squaresoft game (besides FF Crystal Chronicles) And an Online Super Smash Bros. -
I think they should put in the Super Mario Brothers stage from the first one. I don't remember what it's called, so I'll put down the level that you have to unlock, lol. As for new charecters, there was talk for a while of Sonic being in the next one, but I've recently heard a rumor the next Sonic game would be for PS2, so that wouldn't happen then. Of course, if Nintendo buys Capcom, they can always have Megaman, right? I would like to get rid of some charecters though, like Pichu. Honestly, who's bright idea was it to put him in the game. Falco, too, cause he plays almost exactly as Fox. I would also like the level limit to go up to 10, because sure, the comp's cheap, but after a while, you get used to it. The last thing (but most important) would be to make it online. Even just an exact remake of SSBM but with online play would be nice. Of course, something I want almost more than online play, is a GBA version. Even just a port of the origianal to GBA would be nice.

Gaming Is Rare a big loss for Gamecubes players out there?
Sniglefager replied to BigCajones's topic in Noosphere
About the D.K. thing first: D.K. racing is still being made for GC, as well as another D.K. game. There hasn't been much info yet, but it's supposed to be an adventure, like Donkey Kong 64. Now, about GBA, Rare did say they possibly might still make GBA games, but I highly doubt it. Now, Nintendo replacing Rare is a given, as it was their best 2nd party company. I would say that Capcom thing isn't gonna happen though, as they're too major a company. If Nintendo does get a new 2nd party developer, I would guess it would be Silicon Knights or Retro. Yes, sadly Banjo- Kazooie went with Rare, as with Conker and Perfect Dark, but Nintendo knows what they're doing, and as Crazy White Boy said, Nintendo ain't hurting for exclusives. Will I miss Rareware? Yes, but not terribly. -
Actually, I heard Nintendo would be releasing a new GBA model to incorparate cell-phone technology. It may not happen for a while(Nintendo never seems to rush things), but I think it would be a good idea, as all the systems are going online, as well as with the cell phones.
-
But most people already played FFVII. And plus, if they didn't, they should, cause that game is a friggin' classic! If it wern't for that game, Squaresoft wouldn't be as popular as it is now. And yes, making 3 FFVII sequals would be silly, but that's what I heard they were gonna do with FFX sequals, and (if you ask me) FFVII was a better game.
-
What about what they were origiannaly gonna do with FFX-2. Origiannaly, they were gonna have it 3 seperate games, one following Yuna, another Rikku, and I don't remember the third one. Couldn't they make it like that for FFVII-2? I mean, I must agree with Desbreko that it'll probably be a prequal. Couldn't they have one following Cloud's life, one following Barret's, and one following Sephiroth? I know that it sounds pretty far-fetched that they would make a game focusing on Sephiroth's life, but it would sell a whole lot. Or, even if they just made one game, with all of this on the same disk, it would work me thinks.
-
I also heard the Mario Kart for GameCube will be online, as well as an online Animal Crossing. I must agree with Desbreko about the online SSBM thing too. Another thing, 2 years ago, Shigeru Miyamoto said he was working on an online game called Marrionette. But it's not a Mario game, it's actually stick and string puppets. Of course, this has probably been canned, as I have not heard about it in a long time.
-
Well, because I think it's mean that no one's replied yet, I'll give it a go. In my game, the heros would be Sniglefager, Dopple Boppler, and Elf Kalfler. Sniglefager would be a wizard/ magician type thingie./Dopple Boppler would be a warrior/ knight, and Elf Kalfler would be a thief. The game is called Snigle's Prophecies. And no, this isn't supposed to be a very serious game. The point would be to find the ultimate weapon, called the Noodle Doodle, to destroy the Evil King Bobalucha. Also, I am seriously working on this game, using a program to make computer RPGs. If you want the site, PM me

it's 20, don't worry. But how come there's no Green Yoshi? What's up with that?
-
I'm really happy about this, but how can they, since FFVII is my favorite FF, but how can they? I won't ruin the game, but there's nothing else that can happen. Seriously, there's no storyline left. Still, all this talk about FF sequals is getting me excited, ecspecially the Kingdom Hearts 2 for PS3
-
It's not a rumor, Nintendo actually was holding a meeting about it, but you're right. It was supposed to happen a while ago, and plus, it's unlikely that Nintendo would buy Capcom. But, then again, they did let Rare go, so maybe this will be their second party replacement?
-
WHAT?! How can you SAY that? Sure, it was a marketing plan to sell a bajillion copies, but it worked, didn't it? Also, it may be hard, but the game's worth it! I have the game paused as we speak, about to fight Jafar. I know everyone has the right to their own opinion, but seriously, unless you hate Disney or Squaresoft.....how about this. Give me a REALLY good reason, and possibly I'd understand

YES!!!! Those pics of Link were EXACTLY what I wanted. THANK YOU A LOT!!!!!!!

well, I don't know about the RE question, but I do know (and I hate to break this to you) there arn't that many good racing titles for GC. Your best bet is to wait for the new F-Zero. Otherwise, I'd have to agree with RicoTranzrig about Metroid Prime. That game would last you a long time, or otherwise I suggest Rogue Leader. Animal Crossing's another good choice too, though.
