1.
umm..dude get with it. i dont think there are any mutes on the otakuboards. i mean how would they have heard about it in the first place if they cant exactly communicate too well........:animeswea
I'm not mute, but I still found that very, very offending. And just a heads up, it's called Google. I didn't find OtakuBoards from word of mouth, I was just searching for random anime stuff and found TheOtaku.com. You don't need to speak in order to find websites.
  2. You posted the same thread twice, just so you know. The portrait is very well done, although there are a few slight imperfections in the drawing. Her nose is very pointy--and if I wasn't looking carefully, I probably wouldn't have noticed her left nostril either, what with the shading being so light. Her shoulder and arm don't look like a shoulder or an arm either. It just looks like little bumps on her left side. Her eye also looks a bit odd, her iris looks more like an oval and not a circle. Granted, I don't know what you friend looks like so she could very well look exactly like that. In that case, I'm sorry I made fun of her.
  3.
I agree that overall there 1st album was better but if you think about it for a 2nd there second album had some better songs personly i never told you what you do for a living i also heard that there 3rd album is going to be a descrace to fans its going to be to poppy
Proper spelling and grammar work wonders some times, just so you know.
MCR isn't emo. They're pop-punk, or powerpop, depends on who you ask. Means the same thing.

If anything, it would be better to just classify themselves as Rock--or what they truly are, a Power-Pop band.
Yeah, like stated before, they are Power-Pop already. If it becomes a disgrace to fans because it sounds too "poppy," then maybe they should take a closer listen to them. They are a power-pop band as it is, and I don't expect the 3rd album to be any different.
  4. I don't know what it is, but I'm not too keen of the image. It may be the unnatural roundness of the bottom of the tree or the green outline of the tree itself, but it looks odd. I don't like how near the top of the tree, the branches begin to thin, but you can still see some of the thicker (but still very thin) ones because there are leftover pixels that look like they are just floating there. Maybe try to just make the image of the tree white, keep the background (the background fits well), and try making the bottom of the tree neater but more natural-looking. The thing that bothers me the most would have to be the green--don't bother asking me why that is. I have no idea myself, it just doesn't look right. I'd be glad to see a v. 4, I'm sure it'll look amazing.
  5. Yusuke: Kuruma, let's take him to an asylum, he has horrible fashion taste. Kuruma: Indeed. Hiei: Dammit, for the hundredth time--it's not a dress!
  6. Ha, it was about a year ago when I ate what I thought to be one of the oddest things to eat for breakfast. I'm a big breakfast person, I'll usually eat a bowl of cereal or toast and a shake--but I needed carbs for a Track & Field meet that was later that day. So, I made myself a bowl of Macaroni & Cheese. Not the "strangest" of foods, but it was for me considering I normally don't eat anything that isn't at the bottom of the old food pyramid.
  7. My taste in music varies a lot. I listen to Emo, Screamo, Indie, Metalcore, Metal, Hardcore, Post-Hardcore, Progressive, Punk, Jazz (Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong, to name a few), Death Metal, Grindcore, Classical, and Acoustic. If I had to choose a "Top 3" of the genre I listen to most, it would probably be

Emo
Screamo
Post-Hardcore
So, yeah. I can't stand to listen to rap, I don't know what it is but if songs include anything about "slappin' dem hoes" or "rollin' on dem 25's," I tend to lose interest after about 3.5 seconds.
  8. Amazing summers, not-so-cold winters, warm-enough-to-wear-shorts nights, and pants/shorts-days--ah, Southern California. I heart it. The summers are amazing, you can go to the beach at night with shorts on and it's still comfortable enough to wear a light jacket. Winters aren't so bad, pants and the occasional pair of shorts. Of course, there is the often 95 F degree weather that makes us sweat, and the unbearable cold winters where you want to take your blankie just about anywhere that will allow you with a blankie. Gosh, I really do love those nights at the beach during the summer where you can wear shorts all night long and just relax with friends around the bonfire. The sunsets are amazing too. Gah, I want summer to be here now, haha.
  9. Wow, this is amazing Hittokiri. You're using just the right colors for the cards, and the images you're using are amazing. Just one little problem though. I really don't think the font you used for their level (i.e. Level 4). Maybe use one similar to their special ability font, Times New Roman, if I've assumed correctly. The carttoon-y and childish look doesn't really fit with the card itself. Other then that, I think this idea is fantastic. Using the different characters from different games is whats going to be the best idea--you're not going to be restricted to just one game. Maybe try some Square-Enix characters? Oh, were you planning to do health/magic cards like Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! did?
  10.
I hate people who sit there all day and do nothing but complain about how their life sucks, in their little cliques, who give you that collective 'Whatryoulookingat' stare every time you walk by. In fact, the only thing I dislike more than an emo is somone who feels compelled to lecture me on the correct use of the word emo... since when did people have to be politically correct about a fad? I can see being politically correct about races and religious groups... but a fad? Come on, that's just plain stupid.
See, what's more interesting is that you continue to be this biased person towards "Emo's." I don't like how you say "an emo" person either. We're people just like the prep guy or cheerleader. I'm sure you're in some fad too, whether it be metal, prep, jock, and so on. Frankly, I don't care what fad you're in. You've shown us all in this thread how narrow-minded you are towards any other "fad" or in this case, the way an emo kid dresses or what style of music is listened to. Listen, I'm not calling anyone stupid here. Don't get me wrong, I just really don't like it when people discriminate towards an emo kid, and yet you know there are the "pot-heads" at school or the kids that love to play and shoot guns. I don't see anybody discrminating towards those kids, and yet you seem to only take it out on the "Emo's." I've heard plenty of people say, "Oh, he just smokes pot because his family is going through a hard time right now." C'mon. Does a tough time at home automatically mean you have to smoke pot? Try talking to someone about it. Usually helps a hell of a lot better then becoming addicted to marijuana. Not all emo kids cut, or are depressing to socialize with, or give you "that collective 'Whatryoulookingat' stare every time you walk by" either. None of my friends are like that, nor am I. To tell you the truth, I think I can honestly tell you I'm a funny kid, if not a little sarcastic. That's just towards people that are being lame though. I'm very nice, unless I've already met you and don't like you. I like being happy and funny and have fun too. I'm not depressing around my friends, and no, I don't just have friends that are emo. I have plenty of friends that consider themselves prep, jock, metal, and somewhere in between. Even me, I don't feel I'm restricted to only wear what is typical for emo kids to wear. I wear American Eagle too, thanks. I'm not trying to tell you what the "politically-correct" term really is. It's just that you've got this mind-set that says all emo kids are depressing, gay because they wear girl pants, or just tight clothes in general. Well, guess what. Not all of us are like that.

    KKC's Art

I can't see the final three images you posted, just so you know. The links work just fine, but the images aren't working. On your first Naruto drawing, the image is done very well. Your style is amazing, just one thing that bothered me a little. The shading on his face seems a bit... out of place. Try making the shading a lighter color, then I'm sure it'll be just fine. As for your other ones, I could type about how wonderful they are but I won't. Because they are. And I love "Valentine's Typo." Nice job! [Edit] Gah.. the images are working now. Ha.
  12.
What do they do? They sit and whine and complain and piss everybody off, they threaten to cut themselves but they never follow through (And you believe me I wish they would some times), they're making themselves into freaks on purpose just for attention, I hate them so much it's incredible. Their music is **** (Who the **** cares how many times you cut yourself!), their lifestyle is ****, their a waste of skin. There are some people who genuinly have a right to be depressed, but they don't dress all in black and whine and complain and cut themselves, they suck it up and continue making Nike shoes or whatever it is they do. I even go so far as to no longer consider emos people; they're figmants of their own imagination.
If by posting this you were trying to convince people on how narrow-minded and how truly unintelligible you are on what Emo is, don't worry. You've succeeded extremely well.
Emo isn't about girlfriends or cutting yourself. It's not a fashion style. It's a style of music.
I agree with you 100%. I really like Emo and so do a lot of my friends, and yet you don't see me cutting myself. The same goes for my friends. Thanks.
Besides that, how does wearing girl pants make someone gay? I wear girl pants, I'm not "emo", I'm not "gay", and I must say, they're a LOT more comfortable than any guy pants I've worn. They stretch (which is one of the best parts), and in my opinion they look much better than guy pants.
I wear girl pants too, and not only do they look better on me they fit better. I was sick of searching for huge guy pants that were always bell-bottomed and looked like they were made for the gangster kids that wear ridiculously large pants. So, one day I went and bought myself a few pair of girl pants. I've gotten more, because they fit well. Just because guys wear girl pants doesn't make them automatically gay. That just makes and shows the people who assume that the guys are gay extremely biased. Not all "Emo's" are depressing and not all "Emo's" have a horrible mind-set on the world. They're just the select few that aren't fun and are lame.
Maybe they just prefer girl pants to boy pants? What's wrong with that? It's just pants
Exactly. Thank you.
  13. I've only heard a few of their songs, but from what I've heard they don't sound good to me. I'm just not into their whole genre of music, which explains whhy I don't like Tool or any other bands that sound like them.
  14. I respect them as a band that has come very far in their success, I do. Personally, I don't like them. I think their sound is too common--I believe they've just followed the rising trend that is power-pop. They classify themselves as a Rock/Metal/Post-Hardcore band--and it's not true. If anything, it would be better to just classify themselves as Rock--or what they truly are, a Power-Pop band. I'm not trying to bash on them--they're a good band that have become very successful, I just don't like them.
  15. First and foremost, I think you did an excellent job on the pirate. The highlights are amazing and I applaude you for doing them so well. However, as you have already been told, the sword hilt, the sword, and her right arm aren't properly aligned. They look almost rubbery. Her breasts also look very spread apart, and the strap in between them doesn't help much. It just makes the breasts look much more spread apart. Her left foot also looks a little funny, but seeing as it's a different angle to draw and I couldn't draw like that to save my life, it's very well done. As for the second drawing, it's also well done. That dog looks huge, and the spike near his right ear looks like it's just popping out of its ear. The boy's pocket doesn't look like a pocket, but it looks like a hole in his pants with his butt hanging out. Using a different shade, or a different color (maybe an off white or a plaid--something to make it look like a pocket and not flesh/skin) may help there. On the whole, both drawings are very nice. Your form is good, and I love the way you make the foliage in the second drawing look hazy--almost smoky. Simply fantastic. Oh, and just so you know, I can't see the first image you put up (I assume it's an "Welcome" image for visitors).
  16. Neither--both those games are horrible. OB or BO?
  17. Wow, truly amazing. I really do admire your graphics style, it's quite inspiring. On your LogoDemo, those are remarkable. They're simple, and yet have a complexity to them thats really amazing. Nice job on those. There really is nothing I could say that's wrong with the attached image. That white border of yours though looks too feathery. Especially near the bottom where it seperates the black and red, it starts getting light and just a tad bit wierd. --Lan
  18.
Well, depends on the specifics. I won't just join any Dogomon RPG that I see. I don't want something that feels like there wasn't a whole lot of thought put into it. Also, I won't join anything that's just anther basic Digimon RPG. I want something interesting. Obviously, the human-Digimon partnership thing has to stay the same, but other things can be different (for example, I once tried a Digimon RPG about a seccret government organization that conducted research on Digimon and the Digital World). One that's just the same as other Digimon RPGs simply won't grab my intrest. Now, if you need help making the RPG, feel free to ask me. I'd be happy to assist.
Indeed. If you have an excellent plot, one that is completely original and only alike to the show/manga in small ways, I'll probably join. Which Digimon would we be able to use?

    Samurai RP?

What kind of plot would it be? You're being really vague right now, could you explain further and be a lot more specific?
  20. Name: Felix Newlan (Fee-Licks Noo-lehn) Code Name: H Gender: Male Age: 16 Height: 5?11?? Weight: 149 lbs. Gang: The Professionals Weapon of Choice: Two blades he keeps sheathed on his thighs. Specialty: Felix has always been fast, faster then any normal human. He has slightly lower then average strength (still higher then most humans), and his accuracy can falter at times, but his speed more than makes up for both. He?s been known to attack enemies more then 7 times before they realize they are being attacked. He believes that if you can outrun someone and hit them before they realize what?s going, it will create a moment of surprise as well as fear. Appearance: Click this. Just ignore the spear. Personality: Ruthless. Fast as hell. ?Don?t blink when you?re fighting him. If you do, you?ll probably end up dead on the floor with a pool of blood around you.? He was nice to his friends, and that was about it. He loathed his enemies, whoever they were. He wouldn?t stop until they were dead. His nice personality would have made him a push-over. Luckily, he could and often would scare his friends through means of his speed. He was cocky too, especially if he knew he was better at something then you. Bio: Felix was born to a very young family, both his parents only in their very young twenties. His parents were very intelligent and taught him how to speak, study, and walk at a young age. Younger then most children. When he was about 6, he was entered into a Pee-Wee Track & Field team, and instantly fell in love with running. He excelled more then any other child on the team and participated in many events such as Hurdles, Sprints, and occasionally a long-distance event. To be on the team, he had to keep up his grades. The 1st grade was very difficult, but he proved successful and passed with good marks. He stayed on the team for another year, but wanted to quit after only half a year. His mother passed away three weeks before his seventh birthday. He was devastated; his mother was a very big part of his life. She helped him practice for Track, as well as help him maintain his high grades. After her passing, he wanted to stop Track and almost immediately his grades slowly started to fall. His father, trying as hard as he could to cheer him up, finally succeeded. Felix decided his mother wouldn?t want him to act that way, so he got his grades up again and felt more motivated then ever in Track. Track was a way for him to forget about everything. He had gotten much faster then the other children. Six years passed, not a problem in the world. His father would try to help him out in anyway possible, and he loved him for it. He enrolled in a special academy that not only taught him everything school did, but also the ways of combat. He was happy with his life. When he thought about his mother though, a pain would shoot into his heart. It was a painful reminder of his past. Other then that, he was satisfied with life right now. Except for the occasional girl problem and difficult subject in school. He was 13, and was going into High School. Slightly worried, he tried to be as friendly as he could without being a push-over. He made friends with a lot of kids in his and other grades, especially the kids that were in their Junior and Senior year. High School was much more difficult then he anticipated, but he still kept up a 3.84 G.P.A. High School was also more difficult in two other ways. He had to keep up his grades to be on both the Track and the Combat team. Because High School separates sports into different seasons, he had to wait until the Spring Season, the last season, to run in Track. He made the Varsity Team his freshman year, and impressed many people by getting first in almost all of his events. He was above average in combat, but his speed is what truly impressed people. While training one day, he got a letter. A very simple one, plain as well. All it had said was the following: ? ?The Professionals? would like to invite you to take a test. The test will take part on the 15th of XX, will be at 8:00 AM, and you will be required to bring a weapon of your choice. Be prepared.? Confused, he went that day to where he was told to go. A lone man was there and gave Felix a letter. ?Kill me, and my three companions. If you do, you will be accepted.? He didn?t understand, but did as the letter told him. He did so, and the battle was an incredibly difficult one. He came out with scars on his shoulders and chest. He was accepted though, and that was what mattered. He quit school, his father moved to a large city, and he stopped being nice. He then became a ruthless killer with unfathomable speed. He loved the rush of heading towards a kill. He changed. Writing Sample: I?ll put this up soon; I?m still working on it. ----- Note: Blades=Picture of Weapon This=Picture of my appearance I noticed some people didn't post up what gang they intended to be in. Are we not supposed to? I'll edit anything if need, Xion.
  21. Haha, very nicely done Gavin. They all have a kiddish-mature humor to them, and I love them. You're actually keeping this up, which surprised me because anyone would have run out of ideas by now. I guess you're not an "anyone" now, eh? ;D
  22. I joined a while back. I remember looking for pictures of Gundam characters, and somehow ending up here? Haha, the site had (and still has, by the way) an amazing RP forum. I was... either 13 or 14 when I first joined? I can't remember, but now I'm 16. I keep telling myself to post more, I just never end up doing it. Haha.
For the love of God people! What are you going to post on all 3 everyday?! Thinking that you want to have a decent sized post on each one ( atleast a pragraph). Unless you have a super fun filled spectacular action packed day everyday, things get boring...real quick.
You don't have to post a blog everyday, at all even. It's not mandatory to post a blog, there are more things you can do on Myspace then that. Anyway, yeah I've been bitten. Hard. My friend introduced my to the site about two years ago, I just never got around to joining until about half a year ago. If someone invented an anti-addiction pill for Myspace, I'm sure a lot of kids would be taking it, haha.
  24. Sesame Street Pic The suspects in a recent crimewave spree have been recognized by a big and yellow samaritan. For security reasons, his name will not be released. Here's a picture we were offered. Please be wary and do not go near them if spotted on the street. Baby Pic Mom: I thought you said they were asleep?! Dad: I did, and there they are. Sleeping. Mom: I said asleep, not drunk and passed out. Ugh..
