Originally posted by Mitch P.R.E.P. stands for Prepubescent Rectal Emotionary Psychosis. It involves a feeble understanding of the implications contained from ununderstanding of free thinking and its implications. These people are banalties which are self-serving anals. They simply fluctuate with whatever seems right, conformists to labels which have no reason to be stapled and given. They are usually ignorant, and have an obssession with the anus. They like its beauty. They look at it, not knowing that it is actually putrid and ugly. Not knowing that it's actually society.
....HAH! That's the funniest thing I've heard all day. All I have to say is that to you, they are what you call them. No matter what anyone else says. Enjoy yourself. Label others. Point and laugh. If it helps raise your self esteem, go for it.

Like Garbage, except her voice is different? The lead singer of Kill Hannah is a guy. In fact, they're all male.

I'm part of the street team as well... They're pretty good. And gorgey. Fab enough for me. I live in their hometown so they've done plenty of shows here cos they have all sorts of connections... saw them live at a record store about a month back on the dya their new album came out. Pretty damn fun ^.^

Semjaza, what other bands are playing there and where will it be? I think my friends are going and got me a ticket... They just lay these things on me randomly, so I don't really know but it sounds familiar, maybe they talked about it a few weeks ago... I had two concerts that could fit into this category. One was the summer of 2001, I think, when I saw Green Day with Blink 182. It was only my second real music concert, and I went to it with one of my best friends who barely knew any of the songs but pretended she did. It was at a pretty big venue, my first experience in a big wide-open one and the music was great, of course... Blink 182 were terrible, they only played about 15 minutes, but Green Day were hilarious and played a great concert and stayed on about an hour or more. Just a lot of great memories from that one. The other one was the Radiohead concert a few months ago. It was beautiful, and that's all there is to it. A band that writes and plays perfect songs, a great atomsphere that only Radiohead-esque type concerty people can induce, music under the open night sky... I only bought tickets the same day because my brother came to visit from out of town and he was like oh sure I'll take you so he was my ticket in. A self-made Radiohead shirt and a three hour drive later, we arrived at Alpine Valley and parked in the huge lawn. I basically ran downhill on the lawn until the force of my acceleration could have knocked out an army and snagged front row. There I met 15 or so not-so-straight-guys and I, to my brother's discomfort, joined them. It was amazing... we held hands and hugged and screamed out every word the entire time. I practically cried when they played "Fake Plastic Trees"... Well I've probably bored you all so I'll shut up now.

Trick Or Treating: Fun or Immature?

The point is, point blank, that you never get too old for free candy. I repeat, never. Youre' only as old as you feel. Don't let the media brainwash you. Only to the extent of believing that you should recieve free candy. ^.^ -
~*sings*~ I love the eigh-ties! (STRIKES BACK) Gotta love that show... Vh1 is great for doing that. Big eighties fan... Well I guess you've pretyt much mentioned all the bands and singers I love from that decade.

I can't believe what I'm hearing! Though I thorougly respect your opinions, I must disagree! Everyone says Sparta left At The Drive-In with the tunes and The Mars Volta with the voice, but they've got it all wrong. The Mars Volta suffered many losses of close friends, and as true rock stars arose form the ashes and created an album to represent their good friend's life in a coma; hence De-Loused in the Comatorium. The songs are stories of the different dreams their friend went through when he was in a coma for a week. In fact, I say that The Mars Volta are better than At the Drive-In, they've reached a higher level then them. And Sparta? Ruled out. I don't even like them, they're rather boring. I haven't heard of Moving Units... What are they like?
Originally posted by The Original You trust South Park's views? Lol. That's amusing. Why don't you try to find out some facts on it, rather than getting them all off South Park?;)
No, sweetheart, after I saw the episode I actually did go and do a bit of research on the subject, but because of the show I had a preformed idea which affected my views on the solid data. Either was, I was referring only basically to the subject as a whole. :)

Well, yesterday I saw South Park's little episode about stem cells and their effect, so now I'm just incredibly grossed out by the whole idea...

I'm going to homecoming, I have a date, and I could never be more miserable. The guy that asked me has a huge crush on me, and he's the most genuinly nice person you'll ever meet in your life... Or he just really likes me, cos I'm a freshman and we didn't go to the same school, and everyone says he's never been this nice. However... I only like him as a brother, and I think that HE thinks we're going as a couple, but I want to go just as friends... I was too nice to turn him down, though I didn't want to go to homecoming at all in the first place. I want to go to my friend's anti-homecoming party where we wear fake tiaras, eat fondue and watch cheap anime. I would MUCH rather go to that. Isn't that tragic? I knew it was coming because there has never been less mixed-signals... so on monday I was going to try to find one of my out-of-school friends to come with me as my excuse in case he asks me, but I was too late and he asked me mondya morning... And suddenly the entire school knew! Or at least every freshman, which sucked because apparently a few other people I would rather go with were going to ask me... and a friend of mine who's a junior asked me, but of course I said no... That's my sad homecoming story... I think I'll find the scariest outfit possible and creep out everyone at the dance just for bollocks and giggles.

We had a costume contest this year, and I hadn't at all planned on entering. i didn't even have a costume bought or planned. The night before, I just gathered every piece of strange clothing I had, a huge velveteen top hat, stuck candies onto it with pins and onto my suit shirt, put a rubber ducky necklace on my neck and randomly called myself the Kiddy-Snatching-Candyman. Even though I'm a girl o.O... I won first prize. The more creative, goofy and loud a costume is, it tends to get more attention. Plus, everyone wanted my candy.

A Song that reminds you of someone or something.
Evil Pancakes replied to Meteora's topic in Noosphere
Anything by Placebo makes me think about this guy I used to love... He got me even more into them, if that's possible. And he looks like Brian Molko, which would make him the second most perfect man on Earth. Hmph. >.< The Dandy Warhols, too, have a lot of association with him. Memory of a Free Festival by David Bowie is such a nostalgic song... Well, it reminds me a bit of this little village in the Alps of Italy, the most amazing place in the world... But it also is sort of them theme song for a place in my head that I can never reach... Anything from The Mard Volta's album De-Loused in the Comatorium reminds me of their concert, which turned out to be disastrous because I had a panic attack in the middle of second-row moshing. Turns out I hadn't eat for the last 36 hours and had to shakily drink a glass of icewater, but I couldn't go back into the moshpit. Makes me a bit sad. Songs by The Polyphonic Spree make me remember happy times and always make me smile... I love good vibes bands. -
The first was amusing, the second was tripe, but the third looks like it's going to be the best of them all.

"*****, sir, Major *******!" "Oh great, I'm surrounded by ********..." Spaceballs is one of my favourite movies of all time! And Robin Hood: Men in Tights, and A History of the World Part I. I've seen that movie SO many times... I practically stole it from blockbuster Bnce, I kept it so long... I just never get around to buying movies. But I know it by heart, I swear to gods. "I hate yogurt! Even with strawberries!" "May the schwartz be with you!" "No sir, I didn't see you playing with your dolls again!" "10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 3--" "Hey!" "Just kidding! 4, 3, 2, 1, have a nice day!" "Thank you!"

It's amazing how many obvious drug references there are in The Labyrinth, though. Just look at those crazy feather birds that threw their limbs around, and David Bowie's character... Well, anything he says there, practically. I don't know, my friends and I like to look for hidden meanings in children's movies. You should hear my Peter Pan interpretation.

Yay! My fellow insomniac/s! Thing is with me... I despise sleep. It's uncomfortable, and I dream things I shouldn't, things I can't have. When I do sleep, I wake up numerous times and have about 7 dreams a night, most of them continuations or related to other dreams I've had. And if it's good, it's sickening, because my mind is in the state of feeling good because my dream was so realistic, but I feel horrible because I know that it wasn't real. It's strange. Nightime is when I really wake up, when I want to go out and do something, and sleeping is just so uncomfortable... Music is my getaway. Music is air.

Yes, yes I am aware! The 16th is a great day. David Bowie, A Perfect Circle (Loved them since their first album came out in 2000... It's about time, I'd say!), The Darkness have FINALLY released Permission to Land in America (Rejoice!), and Saul William's belated publication of his novel. "Said the Shotgun to the Head"(Yes, I am an... er... 'walking' advertisement) was SUPPOSED to come out Sept. 1st, but no mater how much they push as back we will come back full power! And so today is the day, make haste to your nearest Barnes and Noble to buy this book! And albums, of course. Now I must wait for David Bowie's world tour this year... Ah, how patient I am!
-
Oh! Oh oh oh! I finally rented The Labyrinth again! Oooh how could I have forgotten this movie! I love it so much... ~*huggles it tight*~

My true belief is that everyone should listen to whatever makes them happy... If the music makes them feel happy, or however they want to feel at that point, or makes them think, then the music is good and has done its job. That's all it's really here for, isn't it? The music. Been like that for thousands of years, an essential of a culture. The world would go mad without music, but that would never happen because music takes on all sorts of forms at any which time. Music is what humanity, overall, has looked to in its time of pain and happiness; war and peace; love and hate; simple expression. Rap, any way you try to look at it, is self expression. It stemmed from the moment it began, nothing less, nothing more. In that way, it is the same with rock music, and all the genres. There is no complete genre because we are constantly expressing ourselves in new ways through music. An ever-branching, ever-harmonizing and disharmonizing melodicly symphonic tree...

I know about that, but I've been too lazy to try... I lurve Pink Floyd... The Wall is excellent, but I prefer Piper at the Gates of Dawn. Which would probably explain my love of The Cardiacs.

If you had supernatural powers what would they be?
Evil Pancakes replied to Max's topic in General Discussion
Oi. Mitch. Walk into the jaws of hell. ^.^ At this point in my life... invisibility, so that I could sneak into concerts. Yes, that IS all that matters to me now! Well, that and reading other people's minds... Wouldn't we all just lurve that? -
No no, Pablo Honey! Their incredible first album. That is the one you must purchase... It's my favourite. Besides Hail to the Thief. Er... and all their others. Damn.
-
Something big is gooooonnna happen... "Over my dead boooody!" Listening to Hail to the Thief right now ;) I ADORE Radiohead... One of ym favourite bands... their songs are flawless. Period. I saw them recently at Alpine Valley... It was the best concert ever... I was front row on the lawn surrounded by Radiohead's biggest fans on the planet, a group of 15 or so not-so-straight guys... It was incredible, we screamed out the words the entire time and hugged and held hands... I practically cried when they started playing Fake Plastic Trees...

Yes! Yes I remember! I used to watch baby muppets ALL THE TIME! I loved that show to pieces... And I loved anything muppets, especially the one called something like "muppet island"... Can't remember, but I know I watched that one loads of times. At the beginning the two old men that made fun of the show with lame jokes bugged me because I thought they were being rude, but later on they became my favourite characters! :| Omigods we're growing too fast...
