i haven't seen the manga yet, but i hope there are less flashbacks in manga than in anime. too many flashbacks to exlplain the background of characters especially during critical fight moments ruins the flow of the story...just bad timing or do less of them. in the last few episodes, some of the fights are actually pretty intense and inventive. [spoiler]rock lee rocks! i thought he was a total dork, but his current fight vs gaara (in ep 48 - ) is turning out to be one of the best.[/spoiler] he's got some amazing skills and talk about an iron will! i suppose his characterization is that of bruce lee...a bit exaggerated (hair style, eyebrows, his skin suit and his quickness) but nonetheless reminds me of bruce lee.

the real folk blues is an excellent song. it's sung by Mai Yamane, and she can sing! I love her voice - a bit rough and aggressive yet intense and soulful.

another ost that's awesome is flcl particularly the ending theme song, 'ride on shooting star' by the pillows. it's a short song of guitars and drum plays lasting about 2.5mins, but it's got a hip guitar rifts that you won't forget. most of the songs were performed by the pillows, btw.

naruto anime is a mixed bag...first few epsiodes were funny and the stories flow quite nicely...then the flashbacks and still shots ruin the action sequences in many subsequent episodes thereafter. the direction of story telling could be more to the point... but once you get over that hump, i think the overall story told is fun and interesting watch. how is it in manga version?

a boy meets a girl then they go on a killing spree. that roughly sums it up. actually it does a pretty good job of developing the story of struggles the main characters go through, and you know what that will lead to...? :)

Started watching Inuyasha on CN....was annoyed by the voice cast of Kagome in the first two episodes, but it's grown on me...great stories! Has anyone purchased the dvd set from DiscountAnimeDVD.com? Feedback on it is appreciated. I know Viz is releasing it at a snail's pace...
