1. Behold, a random OBer taking a glimpse into Desbreko's head. Will he survive?
2. Oh, brother lol. I'm so getting this friggin' game. I'd have a ball doing...things...in Des's village. XDD Mwahahahaa......Fufufufu....Kekeke--ok, I'll stop. @_< The only thing that annoyed me was the fact that there weren't many things to dig up. Most of the time it's stupid fossils and Gyroids, in which I chucked (after I had finished my museum) and sold for moneh. So I saw the Golden Shovel as just something to obtain. I don't even use it anymore, unless I'm planting a fruit tree. And 100 Bells is like finding a damn penny on the ground. :p The bees are so damn irritating, and what's more irritating is the senseless blathering the villagers always take up. I just hope there's not TOO MUCH dialogue!!! Oh, spare me the torture. ;_; But I doubt that's gonna happen. Ugh.
3.
I saw you mentioned me later in the post, but don't forget the East Side OBers0
Oh yeah lol. I don't know many people who live over there, except for DarkSesshoumaru. ^_^;; Either that or I haven't caught other peoples' locations yet. :p
Let's just hope we don't tear each other's throats out, eh? :p Would be fun, though--not the tearing out the throats part, but just finally meeting face-to-face.
Oh, a kissing session would be interesting. *runs away cackling*
...and a few others I'm probably forgetting.
Psh, yeah, I bet I'm one of them. *throws pillow* I can get pretty violent and relentless when I'm competing. I love competitions, even though I'd lose over half the time. Mario Kart: DD and Melee would be the funnest.
4. Agh, I recognize that parade float!! I watched that show when I was in Canada last fall!!! *restrains self from bashing Pokemon bashers* :whoops: Anyways, for the caption... "Cannonball!!!" *splat*
5. Lol. Since I live in Oregon, I'd love to meet the West Coast OBers: Shin, Des, and Japan_86. As the gamers we are, I'd have a ball fighting them in Melee, Mario Kart, and whatnot. Oh, that sounds like so much fun. :p That, and they're the people I feel most comfortable around lol. Oh, the randomness that would ensue. :whoops: That and I'd love talking to them. Other than that, DarkSesshoumaru of course, along with Metatron, Lady Katana, definitely ThatOneOddDude, Doc, Tigervx, Dragon Warrior, Siren, Patronus/Leh, and Panda. Some of these people I'd love to meet/get to know, some I already know (not IRL of course). EDIT: Yeah, I agree on Sol-Blade below lol. Shin's one of the few people I've talked to who appreciates old schooling, other than my older brother. : D EDIT2: Hey, Panda's a West Coaster, too! Huzzah!!! I wonder if I should reorganize my infant A.C.R.O.S.S. organization. She was one of my few loyal members lol. *eats her scrumpylicious pizzas*
6. G...Go away!!! This's mine I tell you!!! My aunt gave it to me!! *trips and falls* AAAAAH, no! NO! *looks at the ground* Oooh, hairy Cheetos...my favorite!!
7. I usually go unnoticed wherever I am, so most of these are personal. 1.) Meeting Japan_86 through chats, and many others. ^_~ 2.) Was finally able to change my "Cutie of 2004" avvie/banner set that has been around since early spring, and finally changed it just the other month. XD 3.) Otaku Hollow 4.) DW's animations (if I only had an animation program I'd be on par...mwahaha...) 5.) V.7, which took some getting used to. 6.) Actually using my myOtaku site, even though I never can think of anything to add. 7.) Shin's myO entries. 8.) Discovering OB members on DA. 9.) Japan helping me with myO's layout. XD 10.) Meeting DarkSesshoumaru. :3 This upcoming March will mark my second anniversary. Whoo. :p
8.
If anyone wants to see every cliche in here come to life they can come play Baten Kaitos. When it comes to a whiney hero, Kalas is one of the wineyist (is that a word?) He doesnt want to save the world, hhe doesnt care about the other people, the only reason he does anything is because his guardian spirit (thats you) seems to be using a Jedi mind trick on him.
Heh, I've yet to play this game. I find rebellious heroes interesting. Not like Squall or anything. Blah. If anyting I think it's better than the over-confident hero wannabe. ^_~
And why do the charachters say things like, "say cheesburger!" wen you use it? THERE are NO cheeseburgers in Baten Kaitos!
You don't seem to have a sense of humor lol. I'm sure they put that in there because there's no cheeseburgers. Agh....I'm getting hungry now.
9. If I ever bought this it'd be my eighth GBA RPG, except I'm not gonna buy it. Why shouldn't I, being the big RPG fan that I am? Because it sucks that's why I shouldn't. I haven't heard too many merits to begin with. I tried it out on my cousin's GBA the other evening, and I wanted to retch. And tonight, I'm gonna get the ROM for it so I have more of an excuse to stomp the living repetition out of it, and "repetitive" is the only key term I can think of at the moment that best describes this waste of time.
10. I haven't exactly caught any sicknesses since May. As soon as a symptom starts taking effect, I hit the garlic like nobody's business. Symptoms such as odd/sore/icky-feeling throat and feeling a little hot-flashy. I just gargle some silver mixed with water every hour, and take a clove of garlic twice a day. And I don't get a cold. Flu bugs though, I can't really remember. The only time my gut/stomach cramps up a little is when I manage to eat some junk food (which is hardly ever) because my body isn't used to it. ^_~ I have few food allergies, and I'm only allergic to dust, mildew, and cat dander. So far I'm healthy except for anemia, which sucks because I tire quickly no matter how much I exercize. :(
11. Actually I think that although Nintendo has uh, y'know, plenty of merits, we can't forget about the other companies who've contributed. ^_^ I'm glad SEGA brought spunky-fun games like Sonic into the gaming world. But eh, you guys took a lot out of my mouth lol. I've always thought of Nintendo as a grampa, always being there when I needed him most since the day I was three. ^_~ I'm sure he was like that with a lot of people. Even if Nintendo someday gets ground into history, never to emerge, I'll always be a dedicated fangirl of sorts. Oh, the handhelds are miracles!!! *curls up with her SP and Pokemon games and squeaks*
12.
You are a rookie ________ that is trying to advance in the world of _________ing by winning __________.
Uh.....o,0 Anyways, what also occured to me is the villain cliche. Gyarck! I hate it all! Villains should be more casual like Kuja (FFIX) and indirectly sick, like Kefka (FFVI--
when Kefka poisoned the river
). And they need to lose the "Bwahahaha!!" God, it irritates me. Villains don't need to LOOK evil...deceit is always a good thing. When I think of RPG villains I think of darkness, cackling, and random dominance and destruction. I dunno...like I mentioned before, cliches can make for a good basis, but they shouldn't be that and nothing else. ^_^
13. We bring you Jedi-Sith Christmas ornaments! Coming soon to a WalMart near you! *gets thwacked* (...Suck.)
14. Alright, I've finally got my team together to counter my friend's Flyer team. Lol, you got quite the strategy Mithos! ^_^ Me likies. I'll evaluate it in my next post. ^_~ I gotta post mine up first before I forget. :p Oh, and btw, you should've included the Pokemon's type also...it can help, although I personally know the type of every Pokemon...but just in case someone else evaluates. ^_^ Ok, before I start I'll let you know that my foe's team consists of mostly Flyers: Politoed, Pidgeot, Dragonite, Charizard (and I know she has GOOD S.ATK), Aerodactyl, and Arbok. What version this team is: Sa/FR Wailord - Relaxed(DEF+/SPD-) @Chesto Berry (cures Sleep; one-time use) Ability: Water Veil (prevents Wailord from getting a Burn) Type: Water EV: All in DEF. -Whirlpool -Surf -Rest -Sleep Talk (Egg Move) Strategy: Basically to trap in his Rock-Flyer and Fire-Flyer, then go in for the kill. I use the ChestoRest combo once my HP is low. ^_~* BUT, the only downside I hate is Wailord's poor Speed--the risk is my foe switching out Aerodactly/Charizard before I get to use Whirlpool. I decided to up her DEF. because I know his team uses Flying attacks, and it's stronger because of the STAB involved (I don't wanna take any risks). Water Veil prevents her from getting a Burn, since I know even his Charizard's Fire attacks can be decent against Water/Rock Pokemon (good SP.ATK). And since his Charizard also has Attract (is female), I picked my Wailord to be female also. Kekekeke. Sleep Talk is just evil here--keeps attacking while her HP fills up and her Chesto Berry's used. >:3 Kyogre - Sassy(S.DEF+/SPD-) @Chesto Berry (cures Sleep condition; one-time use) Ability: Drizzle (causes a rainfall and stays until another weather effect takes place) Type: Water EV: All in DEF. -Water Spout -Blizzard -Thunder -Rest Strategy: I usually would have Surf and Ice Beam instead of Water Spout and Blizzard, but I'm going for power over accuracy this time. And since I'll have him trained in defenses, regular attacks shouldn't bring his HP down too much. As with Wailord, I'm upping his DEF. for the same reason. For the personality, I wanted Bold, but he came with Sassy instead. The rainfall will weaken Fire attacks, and max out Thunder's accuracy, and power up the Water attacks of my entire team. HUZZAH! Electabuzz - Hardy(no stat changes) @Magnet (boosts power if Electric attacks) Type: Electric Ability: Static (has a 30% chance of Paralyzing the opponent if its attack hits Electabuzz) EV: All in Speed -Thunder -Thunder Wave -Cross Chop (Egg move) -Psychic Strategy: Basically a quick assaulter, like Deoxys. I KNOW I have a thing against power-boosting items, but I couldn't find anything else to use that'd help. Besides, I've never tried Magnet with Electabuzz. Thunder will be used along with the rainfall following Kyogre. Cross Chop and Psychic have proved extremely useful in Crystal version, so I've decided to try it out in my FireRed version. I couldn't breed both Cross Chop and Ice Punch on her.
15. "British men hot or hot"...y'know that title sounds off, but I'm pretty sure it's just my imagination. ^_~* Well, it's kinda hard to classify British men into a seperate category. Like everyone else, you have you're hotties, and you have your uglies. What I find most attractive is their accents. @_@
16. Oh, boo-effing-hoo. I never believed in Santa, even when I was little, at all, and I had enough imagination to fuel the mind of Shigeru Miyamoto. In fact, I'm pretty sure I still do. I'd never lie to my kids.
17. Since it's more rainy than snowy where I live (Hood River, Oregon) we get snow only if it gets cold enough. We do get it though, it just sometimes melts within a few days or something. But last winter we had a bad storm, and most of the main high/freeways were blocked off because they were pretty dangerous (very little milk in our stores for about a week lol). We really don't get any snow until around this time of year, more towards New Year's/January.
18. Well, I'm 19...turning 20 next August. So yeah. Uhm...yay. I can drink in Canada but I can't drink in America, which gives me another excuse to leave the country.
19. Psh, y'know what? I'd love to see a drunken Dragon Warrior someday. ^_~* Interesting, to the last. ...I don't do jack-squat on New Year's or get to go anywhere, unless one or more of my offline friends ever bother to include me in their plans, or they bother to allow me to include them in my own... ...which is never. ...Yeah. Bloody fun, eh?
20. I'll divide the list in half, since it'll be easier. Since I love RPGs, I'll list a "Top 5" for those and a "Top 5" for other games. This's gonna be difficult for me, since this category can span all the consoles.
21. Yeah, I agree with Baron, too. But usually, to me anyway, it seems as if cliches make for a good basis of concepts. I like ones with twists. As for love stories, it can't be the kind that lacked emotion and scenario like it did in Tales of Symphonia. But, it's great when it's unpredictable: you see Sheena and Zelos--that would be interesting if there actually was something going on between them. :-p I enjoy most love stories, in which they aren't like Lunar: SSSC--a random boy seeking to be a hero falls in love with the childhood friend that uses support magic and uses kitchen utensils to defend herself with. Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals was like that, too, but it had a nice twist in love story, but I didn't like the cliche characters. I don't really care for any story cliche except for the 'love story' side of it. The 'saving the world' formula is pretty common, but I never grow tired of it--it's just the backdrop of something more awesome.
I don't think there's was ever any real reason to buy Yellow/Crystal/Emerald, unless you missed the first two versions in the series or you're completely obsessed and have money to spare.
I usually just buy two per series: I have Blue and Yellow, Gold and Crystal, and Sapphire--and I will buy Emerald when it comes out. (I also have FireRed.) Besides, I usually buy more Game Boy games than console ones because they're cheaper and I love the simple graphics anyway.
Plus, Pikachu was made stronger, so it's actually a kick butt electric type in Yellow. By the time I got to the Elite Four, my Pikachu's Thunder attack could KO Lance's Gyarados in a single hit, as well as most of Loreli's water type Pokémon.
Whaaat? Pikachu sucked! lol I couldn't even evolve the little crap! I just stuffed him in the PC and just got the three starters! Well, three others, too, Nidoking being a personal fave. And yeah, Gyarados is pretty bad against any Electric attack, lol. XD
24.
"The exorcist aint got nothin' on me!"[/size']
Well, if y'know me well enough you'd know I generally laugh at a lot of crap, so I had a hard time picking a winner for this picture. XDD So yeah, it's you Epitome lol. My stomach still hurts a little from all that laughing. Baron came in a VERY CLOSE second, and CWH a third. :p Alrighty, fire away! =3
25. Like I said, stay away from my Juicy Fruit.
