Five whole dollars? American? Hell, I should go knocking on someone's door and ask for money. In all seriousness though, I don't think I would've dished out the money, mainly because I have no money to dish out. If I did though, I most likely would've kept it. Hey, five bucks is still five bucks. Too blunt?

Though it may be annoying to some people that the episodes are rerun, it's actually quite useful in some instances. I mean, what if one day you had to cram at school and missed an episode that was totally revealing? Just for recapping purposes, at least. Oh, and the dub isn't too bad, it being on daytime television now.

I don't think there is a way to really explain love. It's complicated, yet easy in a sort of sense... I do know that there is no such thing as "love at first sight," because such sayings as that are for the shallow and the ignorant. You don't fall in love with someone's personality with their appearance, you know? I haven't experienced love, but I am experiencing love now. This guy is very special to me. My whole world revolves around him. He's everything that I could possibly ask for, maybe even more. He's so wonderful... I hope he realizes how I feel about him. There is no one else for me. I want us to last forever. If there is a God, I do believe that my boyfriend was put on this earth just for me. There is nobody else. He's my everything. To me, there's the word "perfect," then there is him. I hope that everyone will someday have someone as special as he is to me. Te amo, mi amor.

Though I may appear to be confident, I have and abnormal fear of boys. I guess you can say that I'm still waiting for that first kiss. It could even be that I'm so picky as to actually care who my first kiss is. I don't think it's something that girls forget easily, considering that "special moment" is actually valued.

American Dragonball Z gives you cancer. If you really want to get the feel of the actual-ness of it, watch it in Japanese or Spanish. Spanish dubs are the next best thing to Japanese originals, mainly because Spanish dubs are usually direct translations. Instead of Zoids, I prefer a showing of Gundam Wing. I await DBGT. Hopefully a rerun of the episodes currently showing will happen, because school and cramming made me miss most of them. Zoids causes cancer as well.

The game is simply beautiful. The boss battles look stunning, and the game itself is massive. There are sidequests that aren't too tedious or annoying, and they're a great break from the actual quest. As Zelda players know, there are minigames that are so fun, and never seem to disappoint. It could be possibly the best Zelda game ever, on par with A Link to the Past.

If people are happy, let them be. Age shouldn't be the determining factor of love, or anything else logically for that matter. Quite the shame to be prejudice as well.

Sakura gets the Hope Card because she thought about Syaoran a lot. She cried (if I remember correctly) and the card appeared. She then smiles and says something like, "Maybe there is hope."

Well, I suppose something is better than nothing. I too would rather have a decent dub then a really bad dub (think Yu-gi-oh!). Ah, well. We all have to win some way.

Are you male or female? Female. How long has your longest relationship lasted? I've only had one (Picky, picky), which has gone on for about 3 months. What was the worst ending to a relationship you have been in? Never ended one. What is the one thing you hope to find in your perfect mate? Respect and undying affection. what is your pet peve about the people you date? Overly nice people. Have you ever used a pick up line? Nah. Have you ever had a pick up line used on you? Practically every day. -if so, did it work? Only the cheesy ones. Guys only? I'll answer anyways. What do you think women want? Whatever you have that we want. In your opinion, what is the general behavior of women? Stuck-up, mean, and nasty. Girls only What do men want? Sex, food, and television. There is an occasional man that wants a partner, and my dear sweet boyfriend would be one of them. Him being a man, he wants me to love him deeply, so love him I shall. He means the world to me, so if that's what he wants, that's what he gets. In your opinon, what is the general behavior of women? Stuck-up, mean, nasty, and UGLY. I hate girls. I see them as potential competition.

Personally, I think American dubs cause cancer, but then again, it's just an opinion. The series looks decent, even though some parts are clearly edited. The way Kenshin repeats himself in the American dub would indicate that what he says isn't completely random, and that whatever he says, he means it. It may be a cheap dubbing trick, but... What can you do? I do like the serious-for-a-minute-and-then-a-total-klutz sort of thing. I think it's funny. Perhaps the dub won't be too terrible, all things considered. If you don't like the Cartoon Network editing, just buy the unedited DVD's. They've been out for quite a while now...

Maybe it's only Kenshin that's cute (He's a samurai pretty boy, how could you not think he's cool?), because I've never been too fond of swords and whatnot. This guy owns.

I've seen every show and movie of it, in Japanese, of course. For clarification, Syaoran has a crush on Yukito because he's attracted to his magical powers, not because he's homosexual.

What words? Cake, syrup, and a lot of saturated fat. I don't go to church because I don't believe in religion, and I also don't go because I'm lazy and unmotivated. What could be better? If the church would stop running the world with wars and whatnot, it would be a happy place. Long live blunt-ness.

Only the bloodiest parts will be edited, I suspect. The series is simply stunning, and I hope it will retain the original interest of the viewers. Let's hope this doesn't turn into another Sailor Moon deal.

The thing I love most about my life is the way I think. I carry a broken watch because people are always worrying about the time. They don't know what to do with their time. I figure if I don't have the time, then I don't have time to worry. I express my emotions through art, such as drawing melancholy or excruciating pain. I have a stuffed bear in my locker to represent childhood, as in me never having to compromise myself for others, and remain the way I have always been: easygoing, relentlessly evil, and just plain ridiculous. Not that it's a bad thing. Being inherently intelligent is another trait, but I don't want to brag.
-
Pseudo-intelligence is very common among teenagers, so don't let it fool you. Most of them act like the world is made for them, and it's there for personal manipulation. Teenagers tell you what you want to hear, and completely do the opposite, simply for the act of hypocrisy or rebellion. Quite sad, really.
Originally posted by Syk3 I've decided to open this topic back up. As long as you can retain the discussion to the series itself, and not the Cartoon Network version, then it will remain open.
Okay, since I'm new here, I may not understand. The original post was about the series coming to Cartoon Network, if I'm not mistaken. So, with that being the intent of the thread, how is it to be closed if we post on-subject?
-
I know it will be butchered because there are some parts that are a little bloody and unsuitable for daytime television. Quite sad, really. It's actually a great series, and it's a shame that it'll be edited through hell and back. I'll watch it anyways, just to keep a memory of the series.

If I know anything about the news, Zelda has record-breaking pre-orders. It doesn't matter what system people own; Zelda is respected among all deemable gamers. I pre-ordered it myself, and I must say that I have no doubts that Mr. Miyamoto has created yet another Zelda masterpiece. If it rivals Vice City, that sure says a lot about Zelda. I can't wait, but I suppose I'll have to.

Ideal guy... Hair: Blonde, not long, and not too short. Height: Taller than me (5'2"). Weight: He sure had better weigh more than me (112), or it's sad on his part. Eyes: Blue. Unbeatable. Build: Not too big, not strangly muscular, and not hideously obese. Intelligence is a must. I like my guy to have some intellect, and having more than I would be a huge plus. I would like my guy to put up with all of my quirky obssessions with anime and video games. I have posters and whatnot galore, and I don't want him to be taken by surprise. I don't want an overly-social guy, i.e. going out to parties and getting drunk every other day, but I do like an occasional outing, perhaps weekend parties. He has to have a sense of humor, and realize that a joke is just that; a joke. He shouldn't take offense to a joke. I like my guy to be jealous. It's cute when he gets mad, so jealousy is a plus. He knows I like it, too. He has to be, to some certain extent, an egomaniac. I want him to tell the whole world how great he is, and then come back to me and smile in everyone's faces. If I were to pick the perfect person, I hope that every time I see him, it'll be like the first time, always surprising and just wonderful. ...and my heart flutters... No smoking. Period. Ever. I don't care if he's financially wealthy, because I have my own money, but financially stable is what would make me content. He has to be honest, trustworthy, and damn sexy. Though my boyfriend may not fit all of the above, he's still the perfect one for me, and that's all that counts.

It's a shame the theory of evolution is just a theory, and not a fact. It certainly would bring a level of satisfaction to see those annoying converters drop to their knees in tears.

What would you do with a Trillion dollars?
Fate replied to Senor Ding Dong's topic in General Discussion
I'd donate it to charity after buying video games. What do I need money for? It's an unnecessary attachment to today's society. All I need is a guy and life.
