1. Boop. That's all I have to say.
2.
Actually, all things electronical have load times. Some just have less then others. And PSP's load times won't be any longer then say GameCube's (in fact, they're likely to be shorter on average), as the disc's radius is quite small, meaning the laser has only a small distance to travel to find the info. (The PSP doesn't use CDs, it uses a new medium thats sorta like a minature dvd encased in plasic, called the UMD) It also has a large bardwidth from the disc to the PSP, and 32 mb of RAM, so load times shouldn't be a problem.
Well, all things electronical have loading times..can you think of ONE Game Boy game that had a load time? Here's the facts: Cartridges have little, or no, load time. And when your playing a PORTABLE game, you don't want to have to wait for it to load. You want to be able to pick it up and play. At least, I know I do.
3. Well, looks like I'm first in support of buying a DS. I hope SONY burns with their PSP, in a big 'ol furnace. I don't like their portable ideas. CDs=load times=no longer portable. There are other reasons too but I'm gonna keep my post short, I don't want the SONYnuts to flame me :o
4. Seeing that I've only played MGS:Twin Snakes, I'd have to say the coolest character is Liquid Snake, he just looked really cool. Oh, and Revolver Oscelot was such a bastard in the boss fight that he gets to be mentioned here too. But, that's just my opinion.
5. Lesse.. GB - Construction Zone. HOLLLLLLLLLLLLLY CRAP did I hate this game. I hated the fact that I was stupid enough to pay $20 dollars for it! It was so easy i beat it in 1 hour! N64 - Hey You, Pikachu! No matter how much I loveeeeeeeeeee pokemon, which I do with a passion, this game just plain pissed me off. I used to wanna just HIT THE FRIGGIN SCREEN whenever I played it! Pikachu was as intellegent as a 2 year old on crack! Sega CD(wow what a system!) - EVERY GAME I OWNED FOR IT. Echo. Something Jam. Mickey Mouse. The only good game I had was bouncers, and if I could ( my sega cd is broken) i would still play it. 32X - Knuckles Chaotix. Not that I didn't like it, it was one of my favorite games, it was just crappy. The way it was made. It had bad graphics and everything was...pink. Xbox - Wreckless. VERY boring game.
6. Well... My first ever system was the Genesis. I remember I was around 3 or 4 when my dad bought it and brought it home. He said "Hey boys(me and my twin brother), come see this thing!" We both walked(If we could at that age) to the thing, and my dad was playing Sonic the Hedgehog. Now, I was only 4, so I didn't know much about manners. I took the controller out of my dad's hand, sat down, and played. He didn't whack me, thank god. So I just sat there making sonic jump and laughing at it. I still play that game, all the time on my Gamecube..heh.. But yes. That was what started my Sonic fandom :D
I'll have to agree, Pokemon games really don't have much innovation nowadays. Which wouldn't be a problem if the graphics weren't 2 years behind, along with the music, perhaps. Let's face it, there is a minimal amount of improvement from generation to generation when it comes to PKMN games. They're still good games, but anyone looking for a real change is sure to be disappointed. I know I was when I bought Silver after playing my fill of Yellow (I still think Yellow is the best because of the interactive Pikachu following you around; I wish you could have any PKMN follow you around, it would be funny). Silver just plain sucked, especially because it abused the idea of an internal clock to no end. Sorry woman, no time for lovin', I have a pokemon to catch that only comes out at this time of night. Yeah, right. And Ruby/Sapphire continue in the glorious tradition of having Pokemon that can be grouped into "tiers" of power/usefulness, meaning that if you want a winning team, you don't have many options to personalize your pkmn setup. Having a non-00ber team is all fun until you play against your needlessly competitive friend whose Rayquaza stomps all over your team, one-hit-kill per pkmn.
Well first of all, the graphics and music are now Pokemon-esque. Take those graphics away and its just not the same game anymore. And yeah, that's what ya'll want. But think about it, any other graphics would make the game kinda...I don't know, dumb? And you complain that its not innovative and then you go whining about the internal clock! THATS VERY INNOVATIVE IF YOU ASK ME. And any boy that is making love to a woman and has to stop to go catch a pokemon shouldn't be playing pokemon. But hey, he could'a just waited until tomorrow night. But, thats just my opinion.
I am sick of pokemon. Each new one is a rehash of the one before it. New mechanics or shiny new graphics simply don't make up for the fact that each sequel feels like a cut-and-paste of it's predeceser. Now they literally are.
Pokemon Defender to the rescue! Whether or not it is a cut-and paste, the game sells. And it's still one popular game, and if you look at it, they change more than the graphics. Each game actually changes in more ways than one, it always has innovations to change the experience. If you would pick up one of the new games and actually try it, you would know that :o But, that's just my opinion.
9.
And while this is lightly off topic, I'd just like to say that sadly, gaming console are dying, the GC will prbably be the last gaming console that we'll be able to plug into our TV, they are being recplace by 'multimedia entertainment system' that are music, video, internet and gaming station in one. They are compact and expensive, and while the focus might still be on games, I feel very sadden that the days of pure gameplay I enjoyed on a SNES will be well and truly history...
And thats kinda what I was trying to hint at without saying it. If you look at the PS2, XBox, and yes, the PSP, they have so much more than they need. I want a video game system, not a mp3 player/dvd player/ harddrive/modem/video game system, and quite frankly don't want to pay for what I don't want. I'm not pro-Nintendo, nor am I against Sony (or Microsoft, in that manner), but it seems to me only Nintendo follows the true value of video game systems, by making ONLY a video game system. But, that's just my opinion.
10. There isn't much info out on it yet, other than it isn't the sequel to Wind Waker, and that it is just basically the game in which the E3 2003(or was it 2002..) Zelda was shown. It looks like the same type of graphics as ocarina of time and majora's mask, and I could get killed for saying this, but quite frankly, I think the 3D games like that ruined zelda. But that's just my opinion.
11.
For me I have always loved Legend of Zelda:ocarina of time and majora's mask. I thought the graphocs were outta this world untill ps2 and gamecube came along. I was tempted to buy Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker until i saw the graphics. I thought they were terrible. N64 did better than that, it looked so childish to me and so does the four swords, I think the developers should've kept to the old graphics and improved on them instead of changing links face so it looks like a huge sideways oval that his body shouldn't be able to hold up.
I just wanna pull off topic for oneeeeeeeeeeeeeee second to take care of this. Don't judge a book by its cover. Unless you have played WW, don't say its childish, because it is by far my favorite 3D zelda game. Now, back to topic, how long is the single player mode? I know before the game came out they said 20 hours, but is it really that long? I don't want a game that would be short, seeing I don't have four people to enjoy the game with.

Reading all these posts of these people dissing pokemon and such just makes me want to make a sign 1000 feet tall and put it on the front of my lawn, saying in big, bold, black letters I AM A POKEMON FAN!. But my mom would tear it down. I've been following pokemon ever since the beginning, and I just wanna say that it is still one of my favorite games, and whether people want to admit it or not, it has GREATLY affected the ENTIRE video game market. Just look at all the games copying it. Im definately buying this game. The wireless adapter just makes me want it even more. 100ft range isn't much, but I'll take it. Last but not least, I just want to say - I AM A POKEMON FAN!
13. I think my favorite sonic game was Sonic the Hedgehog 2. My bro and I used to play it every day, I would be sonic, and he would be tails. I think it was very innovative of them to come up with the multiplayer aspect that they put into it, and it is, to this day, my favorite sonic experience ^^ Meanwhile, I'd have to say my favorite character is Sonic. He just has this attitude that nothing can get in his way, and he can do anything if he tried, and quite frankly, he's my idol ^^ The only thing I hate is when they give him a voice, he always sounds too masculine...he's a hedgehog :o but oh well. Sonic is by far the coolest in my opinion.
14.
I've heard numerous rumours about this new Fire Emblem game. The main ones being that it will be on gameboy advance and that it will be on Gamecube. there is no distinct news on which one it is to be on. I do know that it is to be set after the recent GBA game and that the main character is Roy from Super Smash Brothers Melee.
No no no, those are two different games. There is one for the GBA and one for the GCN coming out. The one for GBA's main character is a Prince who was related to Roy, I believe. The GCN version might have Roy, I have no clue as far as that one goes. But the GBA one is like Prince Ephriham or something like that, I don't know how to spell it :p
15. The problem with deciding if you the bad guy in a game is, even if you are the good guy, to the bad guys, you are the bad guy. One game I can think of, you aren't exactly a bad guy, but you kinda act like one. It's called Psi-Ops, and it just came out for Xbox, I don't know about the other systems though. Your a good guy, but you do stuff you would usually find a bad guy doing, like killing people by using your psychic powers and throwing them into fans... But Sonic Heroes is the game you were thinking of, Arralyn, and yeah, it lets you be the bad guys. You can also be the bad guys in Sonic Adventure 2, I think.
16. I think the PSP is Sony's attempt to just getting everyone's attention off of Nintendo, because it seems like Sony is an attention whore. Just think about when they realeased PS2, how they brought attention away from the Gamecube and Xbox, who, in my opinions, are much better systems, by saying "ooh! the PS2 is coming soon! dont buy those because we're coming! we're coming!" and not even making enough systems to support the market they created. But here, let's look at it at the specifications. First things first, you NEVER EVER make a portable system run with CDs, even if they are those chinky little mini-discs. The thing is, they are flimsy, and if your carrying them around *PORTABLE*, then you might break them. remember the Gabe Boy cartridges? How they all came with cases? Most people didn't use them, because the cartridges just wouldnt break. But with mini-discs, you HAVE to use the cases, which is just a time-waster, not to mention a complete annoyance. Then there is the fact that with CDs, you are gonna have load times. When you're playing something portable (like I know I do), you want a game that you can pick up, play, and turn off when you have to, not one that you turn on, wait for it to load the main screen, wait for it to load a game, and just load load load. By time you get to play you have to turn if off! Then there is this graphics thing. Portable games aren't meant to be visually amazing. They are meant to be playable. The DS does push a bit more on graphics, but Nintendo still understands that graphics aren't everything, and I wish more companies would understand that, before graphics become so advanced that only Bill Gates and people from NASA could play. And even if you ignore all of these things (and there are a lot more problems I just can't think of right now), there is the price. Who is going to pay $300+ for a portable system? Certainly not me. That is why I hope that the PSP becomes the biggest flop in Video Game History.
17. I play Clarinet and trumpet, and im in a southern band, lots of dancin and marchin ^_^. We are about to start parade season, which we will be marching in five. This is my first year in the band so i don't have many experiences yet ^_^;. One last note, BAND GEEKS OWN
18. the problem with that is...which link would you control?plus, by having so many links, you would forget which one you are...
19. Well, i was 5 and didnt have the power of money, so my dad got a sega genesis...i didnt even know there was a company called nintendo, because my dad handled the games...if i could go back in time, i would have asked for a nintendo...the sega games were good, but nintendo has more classic games, like the original zelda, harvest moon, and kirby.
20. Does anybody here have Unreal Championship? If so, how is it?
21. attack and FLOAT? I'd make a guess as to the flippers and arrows
22. About the game, what if all of your friends (hold your breath) don't like zelda(now you can faint :D)?Can you play four swords by yourself?
23. I'll take a guess, using my Link's Awakening knowledge:D...The red candle doubles offence;the blue defence?
24. yes , its a skitty...the game corner games are pretty good, but I hardly ever pay attention to the game corner...there really is no reason to go there(unless you WANT a weak pokemon, lol).I'd rather catch 'em all than gamble 'em all...
25. I was thinking of getting Xbox Live.If you have it could you tell me:Is it worth the $50 a year? And if you do suggest it, what games should I get with it?
