How would you know it's going to be "life changing" until you're twenty odd or so years in the future reflecting back on everything? I'm chasing a few things that might be "life changing", but I don't have a clue if it will be or not.
I'm honestly left speechless by this. http://blogs.villagevoice.com/runninscared/2011/03/facebook_imbeci.php http://www.buzzfeed.com/awesomer/idiots-of-facebook-weigh-in-on-the-japanese-tsunam
From one glance at their updates I can see that these people are clearly a bunch of moronic idiots with no concept of empathy or English. Most of them weren't even alive during Pearl Harbour, and probably only know a bunch of crap they learnt in a biased history lesson about America's greatness in the war. Sorry guys - no offense intended to anyone else. Karma's a *****, then maybe something will fall on these moronic heads. Like a flying brick. Thrown by myself. With fire ants on it.
Okay, then according to that link, I'm not as concerned. It was announced (as I mentioned above somewhere) that Japanese officials were going to be releasing some amounts of irradiated vapor from coolant towers so they could alleviate pressure on the system. Therefore some amounts of these isotopes should have indeed started showing up.
Didn't the outer walls of the plant (or at least the reactor core) blow? Last night at about 4am there was concern of a partial meltdown in the core. The hydrogen build up from releasing pressure caused the outer walls to blow - and now there's predictions of a second explosion. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-pacific-12724953 I read yesterday that there were excessive levels of radiation around the plant and 3 people are already being treated with radiation poisoning. 100,000 were evacuated yesterday near the planet, now 200,000. They're pumping sea water into the reactor to keep the rods cool, but apparently the tip of a few rods were exposed and caused a leak. I'm betting if the reactor isn't controlled - or the sea water tactic fails - there could be another Chernobyl. The second explosion is predicted to again damage the outer walls of the reactor and the Japanese government has said the second explosion (this is in reactor 2 but at the same plant) will damage the outer wall, but not the metal casing and the plutonium and uranium in that plant shouldn't be exposed. We hope. UPDATE: Make that 22 affected by radiation. However, that info is from the Sun - they're notorious liars when it comes to celebrity gossip, so I don't know if I should trust them at all.

On the topic of exams .etc, I have a 3 hour written exam on Romeo and Juliet on Monday. Not too bothered, but I prefer to know the question and whatnot beforehand. We just know it's an exam, for 3 hours, on Romeo and Juliet. Knew I should have gone to those Shakespeare modules....
What about softdrink?
Neither. It's fizzy drink, pop or called by its actual name (i.e., lemonade, coke .etc). Or if you're not sure whether the person would prefer one of the varieties, it's normally fizzy drink or perhaps "would you like a drink?". At least it works that way in normal non-backwards UK :P. Soda? The only soda around here is damn baking soda.... :P

Okay, so let's get a little list: Competitors Effing Anomaly Stephenie (yeah you're participating lovey heh) Linkukun Boo Ducky Judges/Helper-Outers Pioneer The Professor Hopefully I haven't missed anyone. I'm hoping to see a few more writers and maybe one more person on the panel to help with the running of the show, so spread the word. Someone get Allamorph here, too. He can provide the lemonade. If Pioneer and Professor are definitely up for helping with the themes and rounds, I'll be sending a message shortly to start getting that aspect rounded out. I'd rather wait until we have a few more writers, though!
I have this terrible tendency, when I play either of my GBA Fire Emblem games, to abuse the three Arena maps and max out units long before I technically should. This tends to push my play time through the roof, since I tend to repeatedly make a mistake and let someone die, at which point I am compelled to restart the chapter and do the whole blamed thing over again, which usually ends up being six minutes of the actual map and four-to-five hours of sitting in the arena level-grinding one turn at a time. The added silliness is that the ensuing maps become pathetically easy if I keep my high-level units out. What I did previously to compensate was to use every unit I had, so that I could bench most of the god-units and still retain some modicum of challenge to the map, but since I'm focusing on a core group of units now and leaving others out of the mix, it gets a little hard to find combinations of unmaxed or unpromoted units which which I can still actually beat the individual maps. For instance, I'm on what's usually my axe- and mage-heavy map right now, what with the sheer plethora of flying tanks-with-lances and puny little annoying light-magic monks bombarding me. But I've only got two axes I can field because my third is maxed and waiting for a promotion item and my fourth is sitting abandoned at the bottom of my lineup and would be decimated immediately. (Which, come to think of it, would eliminate the problem of him sitting abandoned at the bottom of my lineup, but I DON'T LOSE UNITS so that's a sticky wicket, eh wot.) Add to that my only other lances I can field are two fragile pegasus knights and one lone weird cavalier who has a defense stat like a frikkin' armor-knight (probably the reason they introduced Great Knights in FE8). I'd field either my actual armor knight or my on-reserve paladin (not Marcus; screw him) but BAHAHA it's an arena map!, and I need to train the two pegasi, my second archer, my PIRATE, my axe-lord, and my second healer so I can promote or bench them and free up spots for the soon-to-be incoming alternate units like my wyvern knight and my only mounted archer. The issue would be a lot less complex if I wasn't worrying about all the hard-to-get support conversations, like with units who only show up conditionally; i.e., for two chapters, the map you get depends on comparison of the sum of the levels of your physical units versus the sum of the levels of your magic units. In the first of these chapters, the extra unit you can recruit depends on the map itself, but in the second one the unit depends on both the map and the choice of progression you made on that mapâ??like, if you kill so many of a specific kind of enemy or if you open so many doors, you get this guy, but if you avoid doing ... whichever it happens to be, depending on the map, you get that guy. It's all very unimportant. =P
Allamorph stop disappearing and reappearing across the 'Boards. Plz. HI STEPH.

I'm feeling a little deserted whirlwind running through this section lately. So, awhile ago, we had the OB Prose competition by Allamorphamojo. It was an excellent little competition... which I didn't win (and forever cry at night from this painful experience) :p. But I thought maybe to liven things up, another competition could be run. Now, I'm normally real busy like, so I could probably do with some help :). Firstly, anyone interested in participating, post here. There'll be no standard acceptance criteria, just say "I'm in" or whatever. We'll probably play it in rounds as usual. Secondly, I need a few unbiased peoples to help me think up some round themes, exercises .etc. Realistically, you won't be able to participate in the competition as a writer. But perhaps if we have a tie in certain rounds we could have these few unbiased people delivering the final judgment. I'm not too sure about this, though. Anyone interested in helping design themes, ideas, rounds .etc then send me a private message. Thirdly, anyone can comment with any ideas here. I won't be taking part this time, waaaaaaah. But I'll be trying to direct things when I'm around and about. Also, if you're not a writer, then you can take part anyway and give it a shot. I'd rather have the focus of good writing on ideas and delivery, so you never know what you might come up with.
You could stop being lazy and do what I do. Use a better vocabulary that does not consist of swear words so that the censors aren't usually a problem. There are some good times for swearing, but the internet is not just for adults and you have to be considerate of others.
You legend. I came up with a new pet peeve recently, just to keep on topic. We have two dogs -- one is very well behaved and lovely, the other is a young dog who's terrified of other dogs (so terrified that he barks but he isn't physically aggressive). He runs at other dogs and stops halfway, barks and then runs back to us when we call him. If a dog walks up to him, however, he attacks (he's a puppy so he can't do any damage to be honest). The owners can CLEARLY see this dog is terrified -- heckles up on his neck, aggressive barking, growling and our frantic attempts to walk him further down the field. So what do they do? Follow us. Follow us with their horrible old dogs and give us dirty looks. We're trying to train him and we don't want our dog getting too close while he's so nervous just in case and in a huge field/forest there's no need to walk RIGHT BEHIND us OR throw the ball for their dog AT MY DOG. He's no bigger than a pencil case, it's blatantly disrespectful to do that to a terrified dog.

I love 'end of the world' cults. The only thing I remotely use to even ponder when the world is going to end is the Doomsday Clock. You know what I find funny? When people go on about "**** ON THIS DATE THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN IN THE NAME OF GOD BE PREPARED!" and, then, when NOTHING happens, the cult seem to go "ummm..." and slink into the shadows never to be seen again. It's like a George Orwell novel where all inaccuracies are deleted from existence to prove the cults were never wrong. I don't believe the world will end any time soon, or anytime soon in a billion years. We've done pretty good for the past billion, so I think we'll do fine until May. I don't believe in any Rapture crap - the only destruction is going to be at the hands of humanity itself. Nature is pretty balanced - no freak storm or freak disease is going to kill us off unless we design it ourselves. Of course, other wild possibilities could happen, but it definitely won't be this silly Rapture talk. And, thankfully, when the world DOES end, no one will be alive to annoyingly proclaim "I told you the Rapture was coming!" when in actual fact the entire world died of mad processed food poisoning.

I've been trying to get my rent together for 6 months now to pay off one month. Everytime I get my rent money, I spend it well before the due date. Time to call mummy again....

Oh wait now you mention it I changed it because like three members thought I was a guy a few years ago. 'cause apparently, the female name of 'Vicky', short for 'Victoria', does clearly not identify me as a femaaaaaale. Maybe it's time to change it back now before people start getting the wrong ideas :/

Dude, I've been going on all paranoid like with this Facebook jargon for about 2 years. Everyone told me to shut up. Now look. You all see the light. Ever wondered why the newest business venture includes using Facebook pages and Twitter? There's a hidden agenda. I should know - I administered the Social Networking campaign for a dodgy SEO marketing site. Their specifics were too specific. Too specific. *scratches tinfoil hat* PS: Oh, yeah, I use Facebook. But I like to mess with the marketing minds. I say "I like Cravandel Cheese" when I ACTUALLY like Country Life butter. MINDFACK.
