1. Robots (at least in Data's case) don't get tired. Robots (at least in Data's case) are ten times as strong and fast as a human. Robots (at least in Data's case) can perform a trillion functions per second. And if robots (at least in Data's case) are fully functional and programmed in multiple techniques... ...then I'd ****ing do a robot (in Data's case especially). Now let's all blame Allamorph for mentioning Data =)
2. Name: Lieutenant Commander CaluglaT'Shunakizs Hephet-Zemaniiraha, "Caligula" Race: Drandarj Gender: Male Age: 32 Physical Description: Caligula [reference image, add the teeth, tongue, bones .ect] is just under eight foot in height, standing up straight most of the time. His hair is long and black, his eyes golden and glowing. He has sharper teeth than a human being, making his jaw push out more even when it is closed and a long, pointed tongue. As far as the Drandarj go, Caligula is slender, though this often misleads people into thinking he's weak (the exoskeleton disproves this and makes Caligula a strong guard). Caligula can also be found with markings on his back - similar to Earth tattoos - symbolising his family in his culture. Personality: For a species who prides themselves on the volume and projection of their voice, Caligula is quiet. He jokes and engages in small talk often, though he rarely says much. Caligula's personality mostly revolves around observing rather than speaking too much. He is not an approachable man due to his size and voice, though once he is approached Caligula is very easy to get along with. He doesn't like making a display of emotion so he tends to limit his laughing or smiling, however he speaks a lot through his expressions which differ from his quiet personality. He is not fearful or nervous, rather he's confident and, in his own way, vibrant. When necessary he can hold a conversation and often speaks of interesting things when he decides to. For his job, Caligula is very serious. He is a clever adversary, using the attributes of his species to his advantage. Also, Caligula is noted for his 'poker' face. He can bluff his way through a police interrogation, making up lies on the spot. However, due to being an honourable man, Caligula only lies to the enemy, or when he definitely has to. Caligula is also known for being a formidable opponent when it comes to a game of wits and intimidation - he can mask his feelings when insulted, keeping a calm face and plays the bluff part to the death. The Drandarj, rooted in tradition, are not known for their deceptions; Caligula is an exception to this rule. Occupation: Tactical/Security Officer Backstory & Abilities: Caligula was born to the Government Representatives of his area, a family that had been involved in politics for over a thousand years. They were weathly and prided in their war time efforts centuries ago (explaining the markings on Caligula's back). His family were also located close to a Commonwealth Military Base, wherein Caligula befriended a young human boy. It was that same human boy that gave Caligula his nickname, taken from the Latin, and that same human boy that convinced Caligula to take up a career outside his homeworld. The two shared a short, yet valuable friendship, teaching each other their culture and language. When Caligula announced he was leaving to educate himself on Earth (at the age of seventeen, the end of a Drandarj's education) he was forced to leave behind all his gold and precious items, as they were family gifts from over a hundred years ago and considered artifacts, therefore illegal to remove from the planet. In later years Caligula would go on to Earth for the rest of his education and later become part of the military in the Commonwealth. He struggled learning English despite being taught ahead, due to his own language being very complex and even today Caligula will replace words he doesn't know with his own tongue. Since Caligula has difficulty learning to speak English he only knows Drandarjjian (universal language of his planet), Xerxeiasn (local language where he was born) and English. Caligula is better at determining facial expressions and gesture rather than translating through language. Caligula finished his Drandarj education (which makes him intelligent due to his people's advances) and spent some time learning culture, history and a lot of military aspects on Earth. Caligula excelled in the area of alien tactics and weaponry, making him an excellent arms and tactical officer. As far as Caligula's talents go he's strong due to his species, intelligent and a very good tactician, able to identify and undermine other species' tactics on the spot as well as determine a bluff from reality by studying an enemy's facial expression very closely.
3. I gots ya. Would a tactical/weapons officer be a good position? You know, Worf-ish position? And I can more than tolerate Star Trek, I'm a big trekkie haha XD I'll edit the post with my race description as well, I've made them a bit more alien like you said. Should have my character finished soon. EDIT: Sorry for the length guys =(
The Drandarj, from the Alpheos System and Alpheos Prime, their home world. The Drandarj are generally a tall species, the smallest males being around 6 foot and the largest reaching heights of 8. They are slender, with darkly coloured skin, magnificent eye colours (such as gold, silver, red, orange and white) and thick black lines around their eyes, almost like make-up. The Drandarj have black hair, no matter where they are born, and slightly pointed teeth as well as a longer tongue. They also have thick, sharp black nails, which seem to be part of their skeleton and the ridges of their spine stick out on their back and up their neck, almost like their skeleton doesn't quite fit (this is the same case for their jawline under their ears and shoulder blades, though not to an extreme extent). Due to this and other medical mysteries (such as the nerve structure and muscle tissue), the Drandarj are incredibly hard to treat when injured as their structure is very alien, even to aliens. In their own culture the Drandarj can be found decorated in gold and silver, even if they are poor. They are also rather strong and fast, though since they are not a military race they rarely make use of this. Their primary talent is their intelligence - the Drandarj culture seems very primitive and rooted in tradition, however the people as a whole have many technological advances they don't seem to need. One of the most unique attributes of a Drandarj that make them stand out from the majority of aliens in their skeleton. Humans and most other species have a bone scuture under the skin and muscle, but the Drandarj are the opposite. If you cut their skin, they do not bleed and a black bone casing appears instead (except on the joints where it is under the muscle). This makes the Drandarj stronger, although if they have a broken bone it can be fatal and the aspects of this 'exoskeleton' makes medical treatment incredibly difficult. As a culture, the Drandarj are rooted in tradition, history and fortune. There is no concept of money on their planet; the history of your family brings you wealth. Mostly, the Drandarj have hard to pronounce names and locations, resulting in code-names. Alpheos would have been among the first to be discovered by the Sol Commonwealth and although the planet was already populated the Drandarj did not object to a human military base on their planet. On Alpheos their planet is ruled under a 'One System', a government with representatives from each area who takes in opinions from almost ever being on the planet (alien or no) before a decision is made. This makes politics on Alpheos very slow, so the Drandarj tend to avoid it. Their planet is very Earth-like in nature, although its atmosphere has less carbon and is thiner. The gravity is slightly higher and the planet is mostly desert and water, with very little terrain. The Drandarj have many space vessels for exploration and are prided as being one of the earliest species in space (despite their culture on the planet being seen as slightly 'primitive'). The Drandarj go largely unnoticed in the galaxy, however, because they rarely travel into space. Since the Sol Commonwealth many Drandarj have left their planet, by their own ships or another planet's, to explore. The Drandarj are very, very protective of their culture and it is a law that no artifact may leave their planet, and vice versa, unless it is the property of the person's family and a decorative piece. It has been known that the Drandarj make incredible military officers. One of the aspects of a Drandarj is their voice - it is deep and almost echoes when they speak, which can silence a room with little effort. Their intelligence and ability to get their commands across makes them keen high-rank officers, as well as their ability to use their attributes against an opponent in a battle of wits and intimidation.

4. I was just wondering what kind of positions were available on the ship? I know a few people choose already, but I was having a little trouble. Are there any second-in command or third-in command positions available or are they out of limits? Maybe a Science or Security position? Not sure what I'd have yet if I get in the RPG, I'm just weighing up what I could do with my character. There's some pretty cool aliens on that list as well haha XD
5. All-time favourites: 1. Depeche Mode 2. David Bowie 3. Cradle of Filth 4. Manic Street Preachers 5. Daft Punk Depeche Mode was my brother's favourite band so I grew up with him blasting it through the windows. For the majority of the time, I liked them because they were groovy, but later on it was the lyrics. Like the Manics, Depeche Mode has a special place on my list because the lyrics - whether or not they speak to me - are plain cool. Again, David Bowie is a family thing, my mum's really. It's his image I adore, and his creativity. He's a genius, and he'll stay that way. Cradle of Filth may be hated by most people, but Cradle got me into the alternative scene. They're concerts are my favourites in Manchester and although I'm not like the way I was when I got into Cradle, me and the rest of the fans in my friends share this cool little goth bond - it's where we started and it's fun to know all the words to a band everyone hates. The Manic Street Preachers have some good lyrics, too, and some amazing songs. Plus, I'm a Richey fan. Richey fans don't die. Daft Punk earns a place for its grooviness. And the name. Cool Bands I Really Like: 1. Crass 2. The Ramones 3. Gorillaz 4. Mindless Self Indulgence 5. Deathstars I'm not even going into the Crass thing. It's a long story unless you know 'em. Now The Ramones I'm not sure why I like, I just do. I own a lot of songs and albums, plus a shirt... and a belt. I just like them. Gorillaz has been one of my favourite bands since they brought out their first album, god knows when, and they're just clever. Cartoons. I love cartoons. They make amazing posters, too. Mindless Self Indulgence is a recent band, but I went to see them the other night. That's why they're now on my list - class as ****. The atmosphere was amazing, the crowd was awesome and they did a brilliant show. You can have so much fun singing along. Deathstars are also considered new comers and probably are hated by everyone who goes on about 'real industrial' and yada yada yada genre crap I don't give a **** about... they're cool. They supported Cradle of Filth the last show I went to see and their energy is amazing. Their songs are dark, military, evil... Whiplasher's voice just carries the words really well - Blitzkrieg and Synthetic Generation are among my favourite tunes. They do some good videos, as well. You guys should check them out ("Cyanide", "Blitzkrieg" and "Synthetic Generation" being the best, the rest are probably fanmade). Bands I like: 1. VNV Nation 2. Marilyn Manson 3. Dope Stars Inc. 4. Dimmu Borgir 5. Combichrist VNV Nation has some of the coolest stuff I own, great to play on repeat. It's mellow, or up-beat, or heavy... good guys. They're both bald, too, hahaha. Now Marilyn Manson is again because of his image and the way he portrays his music in this trashy sense. Some of his stuff I don't like, but songs like Speed of Pain, Mechanical Animals and even Heart Shaped Glasses are among my favourite. Dope Stars Inc are fairly new to my collection, though I love their songs - they're catchy, fun, and the song Can You Imagine is really... umm... good? Dimmu Borgir is just fun. Ah, Combichrist. I love them. They should be further up in the list, but I really can't be arsed editing everything again. Good tunes to dance to. Good tunes to turn up LOUD and put the bass up LOUD and jump on desks to. Love 'em. Honourable Mentions: Soulfly Twiztid The Clash The Exploited Bad Religion The Prodigy The Cure Sex Pistols
6. To be quite honest, I think the ideas of an RPG only play an incredibly small part in its success. There have been games run by new members who aren't as creative as other that get further - the main problem is, players. The majority of the time I'm waiting on people to post, and when they don't, the RPG collapses (it may not even be the players fault they can't post either). There are so many massive factors that affect the games and how successful they'll be, but I don't want to go too off topic. Though I think having a thread to put a few 'fail or no' ideas in is a pretty good idea. Whether the feedback has any basis in the real Arena is... eh, up to luck and the other crazy factors involved. I like the Ro Sham Bo idea quite a lot, it seems to be something quite creative. From first glance, it also looks pretty promising. As a summary it looks like the kind of idea that leaves room for a lot of freedom and interpretation, which is pretty cool methinks. As for me I'm going to try a new Gifts and Curses in about a month. I dunno how This is Earth failed... can't remember... but I figured I won't let this game crash. This time round I can give everyone who followed the game a chance to jump in, but I'm not sure how far it'll get.
7. http://zeitgeistmovie.com/ I didn't want to put this in the movie section, because it's not a movie, it's more of an issue. Now before I sound like an idiot, has anyone else seen this? Has it been out for awhile? I just watched it and I thought I was stunned about the religious part of it (which people may be offended by), but as it got further and further I kind of figured this wasn't a conspiracy theory. It's not even scary - it's terrifying. I don't even know what to say. Obviously there are a lot of people who don't take the media for what it says, or take the world by what we are told to see it as, but to think that the world is being manipulated on this kind of level is terrifying. Now I did know that war made money, which was a fact I hated because you shouldn't put a price on anyone's freedom or life, but the prospect of the 'war on terror' building up exactly like World War II did? I ain't living through world war III, kids. The movie is very long and if you're offended by the religion at the start, don't switch it off. I used to think that the few of us who actually had a sense of individuality and didn't follow like blind sheep was something to be proud of, but now it seems like we knew nothing at all and we might as well be blind as the rest. I don't think I've seen so much being backed up with evidence. However, no matter where the truth lies the quotes used in the film reveal some unimaginable points about human beings and reality. It shows how ignorant we are and it's kind of disappointing. What do you guys think? Conspiracy or reality?
8. Just a short post so no one forgets we exist =p have limited time too. ---- Jake finished making all the calls and exactly what Adam said. Acacia and himself had left the body, taking all the information they thought would be useful - ID cards, train tickets, and even a short diary from the man that they hadn't read yet. They stood outside the subway, Jake fiddling with his PDA for awhile. "What now?" Acacia breathed. Jake was immersed in his PDA, looking underneath his sunglasses to get a clearer view. "Check your PDA." He waited for a moment while Acacia checked it, before snapping his own in his pocket. "Smartie pants has cross referenced the location of the nearest superhuman to us. And although I never need directions, driving with a PDA in my hand is pretty fucking hard..." "Let me guess, for protection?" "I don't normally need to protect myself in my own car..." Acacia rolled her eyes. "No, I mean, calling in all the superhumans." Jake shoved his hands in his pocket with a sigh and started up the steps, Acacia following beside him. The two came to the car which was slightly jammed in place by two cars behind and in front, much to Jake's fast raising annoyance. He jumped in the driver's seat and started up the car, continuing what he was saying. "I reckon so. I think a little bit og you're professional approach comes in handy now - we better do this right before someone else dies." He twisted the stirring wheel hard to the right with a frown on his face. "Right." Acacia agreed pulling up the information on her own PDA. Suddenly, the car jolted violently, causing her to almost drop it. "Jake!" Jake looked behind him, the car at the back moving slowly backwards from Jake's impatience driving skills and lack of a handbrake. Jake shrugged. "I said we'll do this right for a change, I didn't say we'd do it nicely! I'll leave my fucking insurance details!" He drove the car forward as quickly as possible, effectively getting out of the tight parking space but grazing the second car as well.
9. Dibs on Ozy's character! XD ...when I ask Anomaly what we're planning out this time anyway XP Quick question, anything we need to do when we find the civilians? You're probably getting sick of questions now, sorry Blayze, just wondering what we do with 'em afterwards.
10. Speed. And the internet. People on MSN keep me up, though I don't sleep anyway - anyone here who talks to me quite often on AIM should know this, I'm normally online until 5am or all night. I don't sleep very well at all, not that I have anything on my mind, just I don't sleep. Even when I'm tired, it's rare I say "I'm going to bed" and I'm asleep in the next few minutes. Doesn't even bother me and it's not like I brag about it... I just stay up far too much. At most I get around 3 - 5 hours a night. It's not bad. I can't sleep in a silent room though, that just freaks me out. I normally keep my music on when I'm trying to sleep, it's better than the silence.
11. Posh, aren't we? Haha =p My favourite drink is actually Sambuca or Polonaise, but since I can't get hold of it I settle for the old fashioned underage drinking of vodka or strongbow. Rum is nice too, and I'm a bit of a wine drinking... wait, a big wine drinking, red wine being the favoured. And I'll tell you the best drink I had last week. You need a pan, about three shots of vodka, Jaigermeister (sp?), whiskey, lambrini and red wine. You pour three shots of vodka into a pan and a further three shots of Jaiger in, a few cap fulls of whiskey and a bit of lambrini to make it look nice. Then you pour the rest of the pan up with red wine. That sounds disgusting, doesn't it? Well, drink it out of a straw, and trust me, it tastes great. Assured to make you giggle. Truth be told expensive drinks that take awhile to make put me off. I don't care for them, though Blue Lagoon is a pretty nice drink if anyone's had it. I'm more of an experimenter; Slush Puppy with vodka is amazing.
12. Jake dodged through a few people with Acacia closely behind him. Most people didn't come close enough to Jake to walk into him, either from first glance or the odd feeling they would get. It just made his job easier, anyway. "Any idea where he would be?" Acacia asked, coming slightly to Jake's side. "Umm... I'm not sure, though seeing his routine planned..." Jake suddenly diverted off to the side when they entered the subway, coming a board with time tables and locations on it. Acacia saw what he was doing and looked as well. "Five minutes. If our guy plans his life every second of every day, then he's probably already here." Acacia nodded and agreed. "We should go to the platform and wait, then." "Yeah, platform number one. You can see practically half the station from there." Jake grinned slightly and the two moved off, walking through the slightly run-down station and weaving through the crowds of people and suitcases towards the platform, which was in no better condition than the rest of the place. Jake checked the photo briefly for a moment and flashed it to Acacia, just so they remembered. He then slipped it back into the inside of his trench coat and glanced around so that no one saw him, thankful to see that not many people wanted to look up at him anyway. The two kept a good eye on the time, checking it almost every minute, but each minute past and their man never came. "Maybe he's going to be here right on time?" Acacia asked, looking at her watch. "Yeah, but people with better memories are smarter. And every smart person knows public transport doesn't tend to run on time." "Or he gets a different train?” Jake bit his lip and hummed slightly while he thought about it. Of course she had a point, though really it was a busy hour – whether their man was coming or going, they should have been able to spot him. And as they watched him for the past week, he always got there an hour early. "He’s not here.” Jake finally said when the train came. "He should be here. We’ve seen him here everyday…” he mumbled. Acacia sighed, shrugging slightly. "Any ideas?” Jake paused for a moment. "Well you know the number one cause of men missing the train, don’t you?” he asked. "I wasn’t aware there was one.” Acacia raised an eyebrow, interested to see where this was going. "There isn’t. But I also miss it when I’m in the bathroom. We should go and have a look, plus I need to go anyway…” he trailed off and turned around, looking for any indication of a bathroom or toilet and began walking, when Acacia grabbed his arm. "We really need to look for this guy, Jake.” She said lowly so no one could hear. "And I really need the bathroom. This guy is here an hour before the train, give or take about a second. He should be here without fail. Is there anywhere else he could possibly go?” Acacia looked around. She shook her head and sighed in frustration, only allowed Jake to grin slightly and follow the signs in the public toilets – which he kind of hated anyway. They were silent all the way, though that being mostly Jake’s fault. He just never was really talkative with people. The only words uttered were harsh ones from Jake, telling people to ‘move’ or get out of his way. Truth be told he would have preferred to scare everyone off, but no, that would just ruin the whole mission. He rolled his eyes. "This looks weird…” Jake stopped when he came to the men’s toilets, grimacing at a hand print of blood. "Public toilets for you.” Acacia laughed. Jake didn’t. "This feels weird…” Jake knew that feelings weren’t exactly a primary part of his powers, though he also knew his sense of ‘weird’ directed him in the right places far too often. "We should check this out…” "Do you read signs?” Acacia interjected before he walked in. "Yeah, but, so? I bet half a dozen people walk in here with women.” He went to walk in, but stopped when Acacia seemed intent on staying put. "Look, we’ll just go and have a look and see what all this blood is about. Then I’ll go use to the toilet somewhere else. We can just pretend you’re my mother and I’m a fucking retard.” Acacia narrowed her eyes at him – she wasn’t going to let that slip. Jake was grinning at the point he had made, quite proud of himself actually. When Acacia followed him he quickly wiped the smirk off his face, a bid to seem as fearless as he normally did. The two stood beside the door, Acacia looking a lot more disgusted than Jake, and he could see way. The bathroom was nothing short of a prison camp, he supposed, with dirt and even blood on the tiles. The mirrors were cracked – if they were there – the majority of the stalls were broken and it didn’t smell too good either. Jake looked down at Acacia, noticing her manicured nails and approach to her job as a professional; that didn’t work so well in these cases. "Jake!” she suddenly nudged him in the arm and directed his eyesight to one of the closed stalls where a line of blood was dripping out from, dry now. Jake adjusted his sunglasses and crept forward a bit. "I told you I had a funny feeling… and here I was thinking it was just that burger from before…” he mumbled. He moved closer and looked back at Acacia, who stayed slightly behind him and looking around to see. "Do we even want to look?” she asked. "We have to, we’re professionals.” He grinned broadly at his statement, with no intentions to be mean to Acacia, only to be an irritant. Jake pushed open the stall, quite shocked to see it fall off his hinges at its touch, like it had been ripped off before. He looked at the door for a moment and shifted it side ways, lifting it over to the next stall with his incredible height. Both of them gasped and stepped back at the sight. "Motherfucker…” Jake whispered. "You’re right. I can’t believe it.” "I know, it’s horrible.” Jake was only half referring to the sight. It was there man, alright; at least it looked like him from the back. His head was submerged in the water from the toilet, a pool of blood around on the tiled floor and dripping down from the toilet itself. The man was limp, with what seemed to be the crap beaten out him. On the wall was a large cracked tile, with blood in the middle, and when they looked closer the stall itself was covered in bloodied hand prints and cracks. Jake moved forward, stepping on something, crunching it, but he ignored it and studied the back of the man’s head. "He got attacked straight away, seeing as his trousers are still up. Maybe he got dragged here. I just can’t see a guy with an eidetic memory willing using the pits of hell for his manly needs.” Jake was trying very much to hide his disgust, more over at the fact they were in such a disgusting stall than the dead body. He looked over at Acacia, adjusting his sunglasses once more. She looked back. "We need to know if it’s definitely him.” She stated. Jake nodded. "I completely agree.” But the two stayed silent and neither of them moved. Jake adjusted his sunglasses once more and Acacia looked at him, raising an eyebrow. "Well?” "Your call.” Acacia sighed – they didn’t have time for this, but Jake seemed to think they had time to do anything they liked. She stepped forward carefully, Jake putting his back against the wall with slight disgust on his face, allowing Acacia to grab the man by the hair and pull his face out of the toilet water, clogged with blood. When she pulled his head up she immediately dropped it, allowing the man to fall against the floor and lay there. Even Jake stepped back, almost squashing Acacia in the stall’s door since he was too big for the both of them to get out. "Fuck a duck…” Jake breathed. "Acacia, how does he have an eidetic memory if he’s… err… got no eyes?” he was trying to cover up his reaction to the sight now, though he was more lost than scared. Their subject was laying on the floor with his face upwards, pale from the water though stained with blood and wounds on his face. His nose was bloodied and bleeding; with dry blood dripping from what would have been his eyes, leaving only his hollow eyes sockets. If he had eyes, Jake would have imagined he looked pretty damn terrified, a perfect expression to go with the wide-mouthed look. Jake grimaced even more when he noticed that a few teeth were missing looking ripped out, rather than knocked. His hands were mangled, fingers twisted backwards like they weren’t even joined to his palms anymore, as well as an arm that seemed clearly dislocated now that they had a better view. Jake looked behind him slightly, lifting up his boot to see the remains of a crushed, bloodied tooth on his boot. He swore. "We need to check where he was going, figure something out…” he mumbled. "Help me search his pockets… eurgh.” The man sure was decent from behind, but Jake had to close his eyes while he pulled their mangles subjects trouser up further.
13. I got right brain but you can change the sides - it hurts your eyes though. But without hurting my eyes I'm still right brained, which isn't really so true because from the definitions given at the side I use both sides just as much as the other. Might just be those definitions though, I'm more creative anyway. It's hard to switch the dancer back to the other position though =/ EDIT: Oh wait, if you stop staring at it for a bit it goes back... yeaah, figures.
14. Speaking of pictures, this thread is distinctly lacking some! So I think I'll put a few up. Unfortunately, they're months old and the only pictures where I don't look like I a maniac. It's sooo much longer now. Well good =D Oooh and question for anyone who uses a vast amount of hair products; is there anything you can stick down shortish hair with, but so it keeps soft? Right now I use gel or some hairspray to stick down the blonde sides (I don't shave the sides in winter, it's too cold), but it's too icky and gets on my nerves. If I don't use a lot, though, the sides of all fluffy halfway through my weekend and it's irritating. Anyone know anything good?
15. New whine: People who suck up *cough* ...I'm kidding Gavin, only slightly though ^_~
16. Myspace. I don't go there to post up new pictures, comment people or even talk to anyone, I go there for the drama. There's so many arguments over bulletins it's just funny. And then you have the half of my friends who come on myspace - drunk - and post this random crap. I'm sorry, but I can't go a day without smirking at myspace. And I bet you all look a lot fitter on your myspace page then you do in real life =p I do go on Facebook often, though it doesn't work too good for me. Otakuboards and myspace are the two I visit mostly, OB being my homepage because it loads easiest. Down the ladder I go on my friend's site, RebellionLive, whenever I can, which is pretty fun. Normally AnimeHQ would be up here somewhere ('cause it's the coolest place I was ever a mod), but it disappeared. I think there's one or two members here who know what I'm talking about. Now that used to be my stomping ground.
17. When kids run around doing all the old stuff I did about a year ago. I'm not old, but I feel older when that happens. I always hung around with the big kids and they showed me the cool stuff way earlier =D My GCSEs make me feel old, and my grades. I don't know why, just having really high grades makes me feel older than the thick-skull students in my school. And having two GCSEs already makes me feel old, going to college opening days tomorrow will make me feel old... Oh, and sitting on Cathedral Gardens (wiki it or something) and watching all the kids who used to be my friends go by. We didn't fall out, though we don't talk anymore. Seeing all my old, old school friends from primary, too. You know, it reminds me of memories and changing in the past year or so, and I think change makes you feel older. Yeah. It does. Being told you look like a man also makes you feel old ¬_¬
18. I love the way people repeat what I say threads and threads ago! ¬_¬ I won't point out what I'm referring to, but nevermind, there's my complaint ^_^
19.
lol. In any case, anyone who tells you that masturbation is wrong while they are simultaneously using a sex toy...ah, well, that's pretty self explanatory. Every time your mother tells you you're evil for doing it, just remind her of her rubbery friend.
Rubbery friend? Just... what? XD I feel like I'm back in Sex Ed with all the boys giggly when the teacher said 'penis'. I don't actually have anything of value to say, I just thought I'd laugh at a few quotes in this thread. ...Not that it's a bad, mean laughter... ...yeah I'm going...
Rubbery friend? XD

21. On the issue of teachers not being able to spot kids, I think one of the solutions would be less kids, spread students out in schools or more teachers (not necessarily teachers, teaching assistants, all those other random staff we seem to have lurking in the cupboards). I think we started out with three hundred students and keep raising each year, as do the staff, some not even teachers. If you ask a teacher about a child in any year (in my own school, the only reference I have, haha), they know they're name, most things about them... spot the troubled kids easy. I don't think this is because we have oh-amazing teachers, it's because the students and teachers even out. Also, it's too professional sometimes. There are those teachers who won't talk to a student after the bell rings, and those who will. And those that will (especially in my case) I would actually consider more friends than teachers. I'd rather go and ***** with my RE Teacher than pull a gun on the idiot who annoyed me. I reckon school is crap enough sometimes, the violence, especially gun crime, doesn't have a place in school and shouldn't make school so dangerous. It's just not far - no one should scare you into not learning because they're idiots. I think that's why I keep posting in this thread XD
22. Giving a man a gun to defend himself means he's going to shoot the attacker - dead. Civilians don't have police training and, therefore, are as dangerous as any crazy drugged up murderer. And Scotland is not violent, don't care if the media says it is, it's pretty damn safe. It depends on the area. There aren't many school shootings in England, to my knowledge, because obtaining a gun is hard, being... illegal and all. Not saying no one owns a gun, but it's going to be harder to obtain one. High-school shootings aren't too popular because normally kids aren't involved too much with gangs to obtain arms.
23. I was wondering about the Genesis Corporation; do characters need anything specific to be in it? Like a certain background (even though that's no in the sign-up), personality type, power? I was thinking of having that as my character's occupation, but I wasn't sure what to expect from the corporation. I mean, I don't want to know lots and lots of information, just wondering is there's anything that could be useful that wasn't mentioned? I'm still a bit iffy about the occupation, because I don't like joining organizations or anything in RPGs (it's out of my comfort zone, something I didn't create, not really sure what to expect XD ). Slap me if I'm talking in circles though =p Edit: Wait, better way to explain. When you talk about the corporation, do you mean as in... 'good' people... or not? Yeah, ignore the rest, that's my question, lmao.
24. Name: Jake Ender Age: 27 Gender: Male Physical Description: [Clickity Here] Jake is a large character, standing at 6"3 with a strong build and often standing up straight to make the most of his height. He has three piercings; two earrings on his left ear and a metal spike through the middle of his lip and makes a point of getting more. Jake is full of tattoos, even though they are hard to spot except the one on his arm. His hair is jet black, shaved shorter at the sides and he wears a black goatee, rarely fond of stupendous amounts of facial hair. Jake can normally be found dressing casually in black or dark clothing, though he has been known to dress in white (his clothing is limited to be colourless - black, greys or whites are his favourites). The colour of Jake's eyes are a mystery to most people as many who see him without his sunglasses on are too caught up in their own nightmare to remember them at all. Personality: Jake is considered an intelligent, unnerving man. He's sarcastic most of the time, blunt when he wants to be and immediately shuns anyone who thinks they're smarter than him, but actually isn't. Jake is controlling to those he sees as less-intelligent or weaker, intimidating them as much as he can, though he works extremely well with people on his level and leaves those who are clearly beyond his ability alone. He is an easy man to trust, though that trust is often misplaced. Jake is a good pretender, liar, fake, making a point of trying not too trust anyone else - despite all this, when Jake feels it's necessary, he'll tell the truth. Often people can never see what's real or not. Occupation: Genesis Operative [Perhaps not the most model operative of them all] Power: His powers are considered a form of telekinesis but also show other techniques and downfalls. Mainly, Jake can get inside your head, creating hallucinations, unnerving dreams and senses of discomfort and darkness. He also has a keen sense, feeling something negative will happen before it does (though rarely positive). Jake's powers seem to revolve around manipulating people's minds, thoughts, emotions and memories, giving himself an eerie demeanor to intimidate people and make others feel unnerved and unsure of him if he wants to. The downside, however, is that Jake can only cause hallucinations and even more powerful forms of his ability while looking at his enemy - the closer, the more dangerous he is (the most dangerous hallucinations and mind techniques being when Jake looks into their eyes - hence, the sunglasses, which he only takes off to use his powers). [I haven't seen heroes, but let me know if I need to change the power. Shall be done tomorrow.]
25. Our school used to be incredibly violent, methinks, but it calmed down in my second year or so. We're the only year left who's been in school since it was crap and saw it become an Enterprise College (some kind of posh term, dunno what the **** it means). The violence is normally our year's doing =), though I don't actually fight myself unless I can get away with it (which, surprisingly, I can). One year a kid in our 'group', for lack of a better term, brought in a knife to threaten someone. For months after all the alternative kids got crap for that; we weren't trusted on the corridors like we used to be and only when a few started complaining to our parents did they calm down. It's not as extreme as the trenchcoat incident, but it was pretty crap. The same kid who was threatened with a knife got thrown down the stairs and threatened with death by myself, though, for calling me an American Idiot (in referrence to the song I don't like). I'm not sure about other schools but the violence is our school isn't as extreme, though it's there. Little scruffles and insults, but it's due to the massive difference in groups. There's either extreme, or 'normal'. You don't get inbetween, and we're outnumbered. But it's okay, because we're the last year group in the school to have a clothing sense and music sense ¬_¬ once we're gone, they're probably won't be any arguments. I've gotten into too many fights in school, normally outside with school kids, but I don't want to take crap from anyone. Plus, younger kids need to learn to shut up. It's lucky I don't get in too much trouble, because I should be excluded for threatening behaviour. I haven't brought in a gun yet, though I probably will at some point this year. Pisses me off. If kids just shut the **** up, there probably wouldn't be any violence. They just annoy each other, and especially annoy the people who don't do anything do them. Bleh.
