1. After ages of having crap to do at home that wasn't fun I managed to write something for this. Alright, wasn't what I wanted as a first part, so it's a little rubbish I think. There were two other characters who were meant to be involved in this part, but I don't want to overcrowd things. I tried my hand at present tense... at least, I think it is. There's bound to be some errors, it's fuckin' hard and I've never ever ever ever considered writing in present tense before. Guess it was a challenge, not sure how it'll play out. Oh, small note, and pretty unprofessional (but I ain't professional anyway, lol) but there's no way in hell I've had chance to check this fully. I read over it once and I'll try and edit it sometime tomorrow but right now... no chance, I have maths work. I can't do maths, see ;_; Part One. When I was three years old, my dad was involved in a motorbike accident. Two youths had ran him over speeding on off-road bikes - must have caused a fair deal of havoc ? leaving my father with only half a body. No, not literally, just somewhat deformed. His right leg had to be completely removed, replaced by an inadequate wooden leg, and his left arm was burnt badly enough to still bare disfigured skin even twelve years later. As a result, my dad hates motorbikes. They drive past my street all the time, mostly young kids riding them. He has no shame, my dad, no shame at all. He?s constantly yelling at them for riding bikes up and down our street. This one boy, goes by the name of Lysak (Brandon Lysak), has a dad who drives an off-road motorbike all the time. My father loves to stir up trouble with Lysak?s dad, it used to be fun to watch but when Lysak found out where I live, and who my dad was, things got? well, chaotic. It?s terribly ironic how that in science we?re talking about evolution and, a few desks behind me, is living proof that man evolved from apes. Or, living proof that an ape can pass off as a fourteen year old school boy. Ignoring the fact that Lysak is behind me, glaring at me for my dad?s actions, science happens to be pretty good. We have this one teacher ? Mr. Rain ? who likes to be eccentric and tries to enlighten us. Only a few people listen to him. Really, everyone should be listening. Mr. Rain talked sense, taught us beyond what we were meant to know. His name should be in the dictionary for the definition of a teacher, as well as philosopher, sociologer and scientist. I can?t help but feel a little lonely listening to Rain talking in front of the class. He was tremendously enthusiastic in front of the dull low-quality classroom, explaining things with his hands as well as words. I got it, I got what he was saying. Every word was crafted carefully, just like him. Clean, smart, professional yet he knew where he stood; builder for the future. We?re the future. ?Okay, fuck that. I pretty much hate school for far too many reasons. I?m sat listening to Rain, whether it?ll help me pass my exams or not really doesn?t matter. When he looks at me, noticing that I?m listening, he tends to keep eye contact for a long time. I can?t keep my eyes locked for more than thirty seconds, I have to look away, glance at the bare walls in the room, or out the window. He?ll look away when I divert my eyes, putting his glance on someone ? Scrunched up piece of paper hits the back of my head. Reason number one why I hate school. I turn my head to see who it is ? no surprise. Lysak. He?s sat there giving the biggest, ugliest grin to his friends. Oh yeah, so great, isn?t he? If I were to throw something it would be much harder. Like a chair. Rain had paused for a moment, looking at me. Smart guy clocks on instantly and looks over my head to Lysak, who still grins like a monkey. Rain didn?t run off his assumptions; he just continued talking. I take a look outside the window, trees and there lack of leaves from the winter and half-frozen grass. Bit of ice, too. I would have to stay behind tonight, don?t want the ice down my jumper, or even worse. I got a nasty fucking cold last time, nasty fucking cold ? Something hits the back of my head again and I immediately run my hand through my hair, turning around viciously. Lysak?s laughing again. God, they?re not very creative. I wonder why he?s laughing harder, then I realise when I drag my hand out of my thick blue-dyed hair. Gum. Fuckin? gum knotting my hair together. Rain looks at me again, his face somewhat pitiful. I don?t look at him. Don?t dare to look. ?Mr. Lysak, I think you just spat out your brain. Care to collect it before school ends?? Lysak?s face paled into a primitive disbelieving, confused look. There is no sound from the class, only a small snigger across the room, Darren Hunter. I?ll tell you more about him later, his story is an interesting one. ?Do you want to go and wash that out?? Rain asks me. I don?t look at him. ?Yeah.? He hands me a pass for the corridors and I walk out the room with my head down, hand still grasping the gum in my hair. Don?t dare look at Rain, but I glance at Lysak. He still looks so confused, so lost, he isn?t in a zoo anymore. He sneers at me, bringing his thumb up to his neck and running it across it as if to say he?s going to slit my throat. I close the door behind me. How do you get chewing gum out of your hair? You don?t, that?s the problem. The only thing I was glad about was that the colour matched. That?s right ? I dyed my hair blue. It looks good, as well, suits me. Though it does often attract attention? even if it was my natural colour, which is blond, I?d still get noticed. I swear under my breath and rub water through the back of my hair. Gum sticks to my hand, I frown at it, pulling it off awkwardly and throwing it into the sink. I fill the next sink up with more water, draw circles in it with my hand. I take up another handful and run it through my hair. When I look up I see a mirror and my reflection. Just like Rain I can?t keep eye contact, in fact I don?t even want to look at myself. Not right now. Hate mirrors, except I need them, I have tons of them at home. I know it?s wrong to look at them, just makes my mind conjure all these explanations and stories about the way I look and I cant have that. I won?t look at a mirror in school. I splash water onto the reflective surface to successfully blur my face and continue washing the ape?s brain out of my hair. I still would?ve thrown a chair, guess his version was just more disgusting. Caught off guard, I jump at the sound of the bell ringing just above my head. End of the day but I won?t be going anywhere. I left my coat in Rain?s class, anyway. There?s footsteps all around the school now, yelling, screaming; you can hear it all so well. Excitement about leaving the building, no idea they?re back the next day. I?ll stay washing my hair so no one can speak to me, or throw ice at me. No, I don?t want ice down my jumper? or worse. ?No one?s going to fuckin? notice. Go home, nancy boy.? There?s a voice sneering behind me though it?s not malicious, just mocking. I smile gently, fold my arms at the lad stood in the doorway. He was tall, possibly the tallest in the school yet still a year away from leaving. He was feared by most of the school for his height and his strength (a rumour deprived from an old PE lesson where he apparently carried three defenders down the opposite side of the field). He?s crazy, this lad, crazy like me. Dyed his hair dark purple, slightly long, shaggy and covering his crazy ear piercing. ?Don?t feel right having ape brain in my hair.? I reply. Hunter gives me his version of a smile, which is more like some sort of sadistic smirk. He bites his lip piercing while he smiles, a trait of his. What I want to know if why they don?t pick on him when he?s just like me with the way he looks. In fact, I think he?s much worse. ?Ape man got you good though. Last week he threw that bag of eggs at you. Missed though, got the little shit behind you. Poor little fuck. Felt bad, didn?t you?? he asks. ?On the kid? No.? ?You?re allowed to feel bad, you?re human after all.? There?s a glint in his eye. ?Well, for the most part.? ?Fuck off.? Hunter rolls his eyes, takes his tremendous body weight off the doorframe and stalks over to me, splashing up some more water onto the mirror for me. Hunter isn?t my friend, if he is he?s a bad one, he?s just the nearest thing I got. ?Where you headin? tonight?? ?Nowhere, going home. Want to talk to Rain first.? I shout fuck at the end of my sentence, more gum on my hands. ?Rain rain go away come again another day?? Hunter sings lightly with his hand running down the droplets of water on the mirror. He catches up with the speeding reality and snaps out of it instantly. ?You?re a fuckin? teacher?s pet. Or there?s something going on between you two, seen the way you look at each other. Like you?re in love.? I give him the most sarcastic look my face would express. ?You?re only human. Hope you ain?t got nothing ?gainst homosexuals. My good brother Lee?s a bit queer.? I roll my eyes; not going to reply to that. Hunter shrugs his large shoulders in the realisation he won?t be getting any fun out of me tonight. He gives me a pat on the shoulder with his big bear paws, shakes me lightly (in his opinion) and stalks off. ?Oh, yeaaah.? He stops, twirls around to face me. ?There?s some new lad coming in ?morrow. I know you know, bet you didn?t know he likes chess. So yeah, he does. Better get some practice tomorrow, I?ll tell him ?bout your love for chess. I got a knack for making friends. Unlike you.? ?FUCK OFF HUNTER!? There?s a slight twinge of regret in his blue eyes, his expression portraying a constant cold look. He knows what he does to me, knows he shouldn?t, does it anyway. You know he regrets it afterwards. He gives me a wave of his hand, a smirk and walks off. When I walk these corridors I smell detergent mixed with dirt and blood. Always blood, for some odd reason and I don?t think people bleed everyday on the corridors. They?re so long yet somewhat narrow, windows on each side so you feel like you?re being watched. It?s why I look down at my feet, if anyone is watching me I won?t know. I slid past a lingering group of girls, they?re laughing, I wonder if it?s me that?s the joke. Still, I don?t care much. I reach the floor for Rain?s classroom, reach his open door, and peer in, expecting to see Lysak. I?m not met with such a horrendous sight, quite the opposite in fact. Rain, slightly combed black hair, sharp features, clean face, clean suit, stood in looking through papers and humming a tune I?ve never heard of. I know he can see me, saw him look from the corner of his eyes. ?Where?s Lysak?? I interrupt. ?I sent him home for you,? Rain replied, smiling, ?I didn?t want you to get into any trouble with him. I just told him chewing gum was a disgusting thing, throwing it even more so. I let him go afterwards.? ?That was? uh? nice of you.? ?That?s because I?m a nice person.? ?I could tell you other things but I?m not going to. Would you even hear?? I don?t know who spoke those words in my head but I blank them as soon as they enter my mind. I?m always paranoid around Rain, he?s so smart that it?s impossible for him not to be a mind reader. I know it?s impossible, can?t be true, I just can?t help but be paranoid. ?Hunter was telling me about the new kid?? ?Ah yes, Brad Staan. Very, very bright young man, somewhat like you, I?d say. There?s no more room to put him so I?m afraid he?ll be sitting next to you. I hope you don?t mind, if he causes any trouble, you tell me and I?ll move him. He can sit at my desk if need be.? Why does he do that? Why is he more willing to do stuff for me? I?m no teacher?s pet since I do nothing for Rain other than talk to him, I do nothing that could help him, nothing to make him happy. I can imagine what it is? probably pity. A lot of people did that. ?Brad likes chess, too,? ?Staan.? I correct him. I only used their second names. ?Well, to you, yes. I was wondering if you?ll have him a game. After all, you are the best in the school.? He flicks through his papers. ?You?re the best at everything.? He sends me a smile, a warm friendly smile. Fuck sake. Why does he do that? I draw my eyes away from him immediately, don?t want to look at him again. Don?t want him to know anything he shouldn?t have to know? it?s not his place to be in my life. ?You?re better at the piano than me.? I state. ?You play the piano to?? ?No.? Rain raises an eyebrow, chuckles a little, goes back to his work. I walk down the room in-between the desks, knocking paper off as I do so. I go to knock Lysak?s paper off his desk but stop, for no reason. I just move on to the back of the class, a small black piano resting in the corner on its own. ?Can you?? I breathe, my words catching in my throat. ?I mean? what can? what can you play?? Rain looks up. ?Hmm?? ?The piano. What can you play on it?? He smiles knowingly like he knew the real version of my questions: ?can you play me something?. In an instant he drops his paper work and jogs over to me, comes forward, leans over me to open the piano and causing me to freeze. I move out of the way awkwardly and let him take a seat at the instrument. ?I can do anything.? He tells me briefly before stretching his hands out and beginning to play. When I saw people playing the piano I knew it was hard but I had never seen something that looked as hard as what he plays. It sounds good yet my ears can't register exactly what song it was. He plays, and plays, and plays, looking up at me whilst his fingers danced. ?Which song?? he says, still playing. ?Is it Beethoven?? I laugh, knowing it isn?t. He stops his playing abruptly. ?Everyone, my friend, thinks all these ancient composers are the greatest. Everyone says they like Mozart, or Beethoven or? any other composer you can think of with a long name. You standout from everyone else, don?t start liking something because it?s famous.? He uses his hands against to explain his carefully crafted words, I listen, as usual. ?The song is called Battle with Gilgamesh by Nabuo Uematsu, for a Final Fantasy game. I thought you might know it, or like it.? ?You mean one of those songs from the games that geeks who post on online forums listen to constantly?? He smiles. ?The very same my friend.? I silence myself at this point and allow him to play the song. For some odd reason it didn?t seem so hard now, not so complicated. I reckoned that even I could do it, take my extra time from my life and learn the play the piano, make Rain proud of me. I just didn?t know why I wanted to do that. Why the hell did Rain matter? He was a smart, interesting teacher. That?s all. I shouldn?t care about him, not at all because it didn?t seem right. We talk for awhile after that, random things as usual. We change the subject so many times that it?s not even believable, he manages to roll things into other subjects whilst packing away his things to go home for the night. I suppose I?m glad for the company ? I?m sure he is too ? though right now I wanted to get home as fast as I could. Now that no one else was sad enough to stay behind as long as me I could go home without any hassle, so I was relieved when Rain had finished collecting his stuff. ?Are you sure you won?t mind this new kids tomorrow?? he asks as we walk towards the school entrance. ?I haven?t met him yet, how bad can it be?? Rain shrugs. ?You never know. I realize how much rubbish you must get from the lads in this school.? I stop, eye him, picking a fight with my teacher. ?Why do you assume they give me crap? And why is it only the boys?? ?Because?? Rain turns to me, still smiling, ?I see you everyday and since you started high school you?ve always been clearly an outcast. No offence. A year later, you pierce your nose with a spike. After that, dye your hair black and blue. You come in on own clothes day with enough chains on your clothing to restrain the Salvation Army and your music taste, judging from the blaring of your iPod every lunchtime, varies considerably from the rest.? I rise my eyebrow. That?s all obvious things, I know he could have said something short and philosophical. I don?t see why he should have kept it from me. ?Why just boys, though?? ?Well, I don?t know. That?s just my opinion. I keep close tabs on the boys.? I freeze again, eyes wide and feeling my mouth slightly twitch. Thankfully, Rain doesn?t notice this, he?s already walking to his car with his stuff. He said some stunning stuff, but not like that. You can?t help but wonder if he meant what he said or it was just the words getting muddled up. Then again, it?s Mr. Rain. Mr. Rain never gets his words mixed up. He starts his car up, I?m standing not so far away from him and waiting for him to get in and drive off so I can say goodbye. Instead, he leaves his keys in the ignition, closes his car door and leans against the car, sighing heavily and blowing out enough air to show how cold it was. ?It?s freezing.? He states with a slight laugh. ?Yeah.? ?Will you be okay going home in this?? he says, looking upwards to the sky to indicate the temperature. ?It?s no big deal. Only a bit of cold.? I knew I was being truthful, yet he gave me a disbelieving look and continued. ?You and I both know I drive past your house in just five minutes. You and I both know I?d be willing to give you a ride up there. It?ll save you the trouble of having to walk home in such harsh conditions.? I narrow my eyes at him. Harsh? He doesn?t know the meaning of harsh. Yes, I do want to be able to go home for once and not be plagued by cold winter, but at the same time I feel far too uncomfortable with Rain in his own car. In his classroom, when he?s talking and there?s school rules still implied, I feel alright. There?s only his rule in his car. ?I have to stop off at my grandmother?s away.? ?I can take you there.? He protests. ?No, no, it?s in the opposite direction.? Rain shrugs, stepping into his car. ?Suit yourself.? He closes the door behind him, rolls down the window so he can still see me properly and begins to pull out of his parking space. I watch the car tires roll slowly backwards, waiting for him to leave. He stops. ?Remember, you can talk to me anytime. Any trouble with this new kid let me know.? He leaves it at that and drives off with a quick smile to me and a wave. I return his wave but not his smile. ?Yeah. Yeah. I?ll let you know??
2. There's some bad news. I've just gotten word from a professional that my RPG is cursed, and... unfortunately... if you guys don't post, YOU'LL DIE! D= No I'm kidding. Just a lil' worried the RPG's slowing down to a halt. If that does happen, I really will kill you all =D (this coming from me, I haven't posted yet, though that's 'cause I'm waiting for you's to post). I think me and Ozy'll end our little fight sometime soon and we can get things rolling to the climax of this chapter again. Buuuut we'd really need you to post, Darren, since as far as we know you have control of Cat. Unless you don't, we can just ask someone else to pick her up and drag her along.

A strange sense of pride made Dani smirk at the fact that he had punched Charles enough to make him bleed. Dani liked blood? especially other people?s (what were you expecting?). He stepped back and raised his fists again at Charles, defending himself and licking the top of his mouth briefly in anticipation. Dani barely noticed Charles lunging forward for him after a brief comment beforehand. Somewhat at a loss to what the punk was actually doing Dani didn?t react too fast. When Charles was close he managed to grasp Dani?s arm, giving Dani quite a scare. Dani wasn?t aware what Charles did, he just ragged himself away as fast and hard as he could. He felt his jacket sleeve rip from either Charles grip or something else ? no doubt there was blood all over Dani?s favourite jacket now thanks to Charles? bleeding mouth. There was probably a reason for Dani?s slowness in noticing the intense heat on his arm, just making the whole situation worse for Dani. He turned his head slowly to his fabric jacket, noticing it was in flames. Shocked more at his slowness than the actual burning, Dani was pretty sure Charles had some crazy shit in his blood. ?F-fuck!? Dani struggled out of it and threw his jacket off when he felt a sharp pain piercing into his skin: burning. He luckily threw his jacket at Charles who had lunged forward once more, now stopped in his tracks by Dani?s flaming jacket in his face. Dani stuttered a few more swear words, looking down at his arm. His skin was marked with two small burns that looked like they were made from drops of rain and another, larger burn like liquid fire had been smeared onto him. ?What the fuck is this?? yelled Dani. Charles had thrown the jacket aside now but, being pretty damn angry, Dani was on the attack again. Dani gave Charles a quick but hard punch to his jaw, immediately jumping forward and grabbing the punk?s neck in an attempt at a headlock. Charles wasn?t stupid, nor weak. Dani swore loudly. Charles was pulling at his dreadlocks and it hurt more than burning. Dani didn?t move, though, he was determined to make his headlock last. It didn?t at all, though. The goth man shouted a string of swear words again after a high pitched howl and jumped as far away from Charles as he could. He immediately put his hand to his shoulder, feeling another hole in his clothing and wincing when touching another burn to his shoulder. More blood. More bloody blood. Charles looked as though he?d had enough. Whilst Dani was off guard he gave the goth man the same treatment; a ruthless punch to his face. Nice and hot. Dani was sent backwards, he awkwardly tried to save himself and balance but it? didn?t happen. Dani crashed to the ground on his injured shoulder with a groan. He could just run away now, kill Charles in his sleep, deal with everything later. He knew Charlie boy had some kind of fire ability but the blood incident ? if it was his blood ? was a little too crazy. It must have been some really, really hot stuff. Dani, for the first time in awhile, was scared of losing. He swallowed hard at his options, rolling over and reaching out onto the ground in a ? He touched a brick. He knew it was a brick, knew what those were like. Feeling Charles wasn?t going to stand for him any longer, Dani grinned maliously and wrapped his fingers around the brick. Ticket out of there.
4.
o oh and just as a reminder cat is 14......how is she suppose to drink.......[/SIZE']
Wait, 14 year olds aren't allowed to drink? What?! ...*shoves Smirnoff bottles out of view*... Uh, yeah, illegal-ness of your young RPGer friend aside, I'd just like to say woohoo, RPG is moving along nice 'n' smoothly. Great thankies to all you guys for keeping it going. Hope everyone's having fun at least, heh. Yep, it was the next day Only and you won't need to hold on to anything you have planned except the actual killing. We've still got awhile before everyone has to knuckle down to one outcome (character death) so no worries if you have something short planned. Same for anyone else. Dun be afraid to have your own little side stories but make sure they don't take to long, just this time round that is..

OOC: I figured we seem to have a slight problem with the timeline, some characters are still in the evening whilst others are in the morning. So, without mixing things into confusion, would it be cool if everyone still in the bar wrap up their posts? I?d like everyone to stay together, or most characters, if possible as it would be easier to keep track of groups than individuals. Also Darren I realise it may be a problem for you as you were heading to the bar, so I guess you could do something involving the bar in a long post like you intended or have both Brian and Cathrine divert to something else (Dani might be walking around in time for your post, but Quan is always up for use if you want to have an interesting post). Straight nose, lack of sleep and a headache that felt like the Universe was being forced in two, with Dani in the middle. He groaned groggily at the sight of himself in the mirror, running his hand over his nose and the metal strips that were still on it. Completely straight, except for the big red cut across the middle. He ripped the metal strips off the side of his nose, tossing them aside without much of a care. He felt so bad, maybe he had been drinking the night before?? Eh, maybe. After taking a quick shower in an attempt to rid himself of his bad feeling, Dani wrote down a few quick notes, including everything about Mr. Oculus bloody Sinister. He ripped off the paper from his notepad and placed them on a new pile on his desk, hoping to add to it sooner or later. He wasn?t going to forget what he had learnt; from what he had seen Dani very much doubted that someone couldn?t alter his memory. He figured going outside was a dangerous event, seeing as he?d probably run into someone who could? blast water all over him or burn his eyes out. Still, it was refreshing to go outside. He rubbed his nose again, marvelled to not feel any pain before venturing out of the front door. Dani sighed and put his hands in his pockets. He ran over the memory of everything that had happened but his mind mostly dawned on Quan. Eradicate the threat? Everyone else was the threat. Everyone probably needed to be dealt with, then. Dani reckoned he?d have some fun soon enough. There was a sudden feeling of wanting to throw up growing inside Dani, he felt alright mentally in terms of his powers but physically he could have sworn he had a hangover. He mumbled something incoherent, walking past a set of houses. ?What he saw nearly made him laugh out loud. Someone who he could have sworn looked like Charles was asleep on a doorstep. A smirk plagued Dani?s face at the sight, though deciding to be careful anyway Dani let himself drift out of sight yet still keeping an eye on Charles from around the corner of one of the houses. He wondered how Charles liked sleeping on doorsteps, since Dani had often had his own fair share of that. Although he felt like a stalker, Dani decided to wait for awhile until Charles was awake. He kept a tab on where the man was going, following quietly and stopping behind houses and walls until Charles was nearly out of sight again. Dani wasn?t sure what he was doing, maybe he wasn?t hung over, just still drunk. He supposed it would be funny to annoy Charles. When the men headed off down an alley, Dani noted where he was going and went the other way round, hoping to cut Charles off. Quan should?ve asked for Charles dead, Dani would have no remorse for that. Dani would?ve loved a confrontation with Charles before, unfortunately he had hid himself instead of starting something. Well, Charles? bird was there, two against one; Dani didn?t like those odds. He pressed himself up against the corner wall holding his breath for? well, for no reason really. He could hear what was supposedly someone heading his way, chances of it not being Charles were rather slim. Dani smirk again lazily, looking down at the ground to see the faintest shadow painted on the ground, moving. ?Charlie boy!? Dani shouted loudly, jumping out quickly and pretty much giving Charles a good scare. Dani found himself trying not to laugh.

He shuddered when he entered his house against, stumbling over the doorstep and hardly managing to get the door shut properly. His face was hurting, especially his nose, to the point where he didn?t want to stand it anymore. Not only that but his head was spinning badly. It was like being drunk only you could feel everything and everything hurt a lot more; he had trouble keeping his balance and knew he had to get to his living room and lay down as fast as possible. Dani let himself collapse on his couch, shaking violently from the cold in his house and the pain. He just lay there and didn?t do anything other than try to keep himself warm. He closed his eyes tightly and groaned. All he could really think about was how much his face hurt. Why was that? Normally people could push things to the back of their mind, Dani could as well. Just seemed like now? he couldn?t. Nothing had happened, really. He had just been asked to do jobs for a seemingly powerful guy, weirder than Dani himself. And whilst he were are it, Dani took a beating. Nothing at all. Yet as Dani tried to put the events in order in his head, make sense of everything, he found himself wanting to scream and swear at the top of his lungs until he died from exhaustion. That wouldn?t be too long. His eyes shot open at the sound of a knocking on his door. He knew who it was, he knew what they wanted. Instead of attempting to get up and let Quan in, Dani just lay there, almost frozen with his eyes open. He lay like that for some time until he thought Quan would have gone and allowed his eyes to close again. There wasn?t another knock at the door but there was the sound of his door opening. Dani groaned, muttered under his breath. ?You left you door open, why is that, Daniel?? Quan?s voice had entered the room, Dani tried his best to ignore it. ?Don?t know.? Dani slurred. There wasn?t any conversation between them for awhile, not a sound at all except Quan?s pacing somewhere across the room and Dani?s strained breathing. The thought of Quan being in the same room made Dani?s wounds hurt more, something he was trying desperately to ignore. ?Sit up.? Quan ordered, walking over to Dani on the couch. When Dani didn?t comply, Quan forced the goth man up, looking at him with a curious expression on his face. He waited in hopes that Dani would open his eyes, which he didn?t. ?I?m going to fix your nose. I need to reset the bone, stay still.? Quan ordered. Dani gave no reply. Dani?s eyes finally opened when Quan clasped two hands firmly on either side on Dani?s broken nose. Dani?s eyes became instantly worried at the added pressure, he couldn?t actually see Quan?s face properly, it was far too blurry. Without warning, Quan pressed down on either side of Dani?s nose with immense pressure, causing Dani?s eyes to widen more and a sharp cry of pain. Quan released Dani and let him drop to the couch again feeling no sympathy from Dani?s pain. Quan simply took out two strange metal strips, putting them on either side of Dani?s nose and a damp, clean white cloth, putting it over the metal. ?Leave it until you wake up. Daniel, do you know where everyone is?? No reply. ?They?re at Destiny?s Paradise, the place where you started the fight. I need you to watch everyone, make sure no one?s going to get their heads into your first mission. You know what you have to do, don?t you? You have to make sure someone is dead.? Dani shook his head weakly. ?Cathrine. Here name is Cathrine, the youngest you saw in the prison, a water Zodiac. She must not die at Destiny?s Paradise. You will not get caught, you will make sure almost all of the Zodiac are there to see your example.? ?Not going to kill someone? not a murderer?? Dani mumbled. ?I didn?t say you had to kill her, just make sure she isn?t alive. When you wake up, find the others, make sure you know where they are. Don?t get caught by them. Make sure when Cathrine dies, they all see. Make an example.? Dani breathed in a lungful of air and didn?t reply. This Quan man truly freaked him out, a hard task. His words were barely audible to Dani, Dani could feel his mind slipping away into a dream. He didn?t want to listen anymore. ?Listen to me. You hit your head, I hit you. Your powers are unstable and you cannot control them. Do this for me and I?ll help you. Your mind can?t keep taking these beatings, you do this to yourself. You think you can control your powers but if you could control them you would have shut me up long ago.? Quan?s words were becoming harsher, a twinge of annoyance in the man?s voice at Dani?s lack of concentration. He dragged Dani up to face him, talking directly into Dani?s eyes. ?She must die so that one will live.? Dani heard that. That?s about all he heard; all that mattered. He let himself smile weakly before his body gave up on him, closing his eyes and going in a very deep sleep. He wasn?t sure if he?d wake up, either by his own doing or by Quan?s. A somewhat scary thought for Dani?
7.
Okay, I get that we're going to kill of Cat, but one question: Is it going to be an accident or is Dani or Charles gonna make it happen. I just assumed that there would be a somewhat small brawl where Dani or Charles cause something. After all, they are going to be the "bad guys" and what not... So Dani? Charles? Neither? Just wondering.
Depends, it'd be a little boring if we discussed every detail here, heh, so I guess we could either play it out and see how things go (I trust everyone here to not screw up a character death, lol). Or maybe we could decide on something later, before Cat dies (that way we all know where we're going). I reckon it would be an 'accident' (especially if Dani ends up being the responsible one) either way. Like I said, we could leave some parts to the actual event. Right now all we have to know is who does what and who dies. Harlem Academy was the place I mentioned, like I said before. It would be a good idea if anyone wants to use it as a meeting, keeping in mind we've now got a divided group: Dani and Charles (Quan if you like) against the majority (not all characters, no need to worry about taking sides though). Obviously, the nicer Zodiacs won't want their enemies hiding out in the Academy with them, so using this place is up to the majority. I'm all for having the actual event of Cat's death happen at the Academy, too. Any input on that would be apperciated. Oh, s'no problem, Ozeh and Starr. Your characters will be safe for when you get back ^_~
8. Weeeh killing! ...I mean... >_> Okay, so we launched some ideas around and Ozy gave a little speech, heh. Busy times in my life right now (sleeping far too often, basically) so I'll try to keep posting as much as possible. As for the Eddie kill Cat idea, I like it. Although, the chapter isn't going to be short. There's no point killing Cat off in a few posts, so we can give it awhile. Let characters shift aorund from locations some more... you know? Also keep in mind every single character is involved in each chapter, no posting order, no character restrictions. Another fun thing this time round that I'd like to mention is this Quan dude who's now in the game (I couldn't think of a better name, so sue me!). He's basically there for your amusement, abuse... or rather, his amusement and abuse. So far, he can only hurt you if you attack him and he can scare characters. After Ozy posts Quan will be roaming around constantly; involve, ignore, indulge and... whatever. You can all use him as long as he's kept in character (clean, evil, proper, scary, smart .ect).

Ta Ozeh fer the little graphic ^_~ You know, walking down the street for Dani brought a lot of odd looks anyway. Now that he was walking down the street as if he hadn?t been near a shower in a week (surprisingly, he had showered). He was slightly more pissed because of that. The odd looks, not the shower. He furiously rubbed at his face trying to get the dirt off, mumbling under his breath and cursing loudly when people looked at him, making a point of them hearing him. All thoughts of pity for himself, trying to drown Moses and all, were gone. Now he was just pissed off. He turned the corner , coming to the gates of a church. He swore loudly, something about ?fuckin? religion? and killing them all, before resting himself on the open church gate and rubbing at his face more, free from any evil eyes from the passers by. Bloody floor making him muddy. He didn?t honestly care, he just needed something to furious claw at because he was angry for being humiliated by his own feet. Right now his face was being a scratch post. ?I?d rather be drowned,? he spat (literally, on the floor). It was insane. Truly insane. Why was he so annoyed about mud on his face? Eh, didn?t matter. He was just really annoyed about it. He never tripped over himself unless he was drunk, even then he didn?t make an idiot of himself. Okay, this time around no one was watching, except that was ? Crunch. Dani?s head turned to the source of the crunching sound, like leaves being crushed. He stared at the church garden through the gates, hoping, oddly, that it his stalker. There was no movement, no signs that anyone was in the church. Dani raised an eyebrow, turned his head away. Crunch. With more anger than even he anticipated, Dani stormed into the church garden and turned the corner to the wall straight away, hoping to lash out for the nearest thing and ? Crack. An unspeakable force was driven into Dani?s nose. Even before Dani fell on the floor and tasted blood in his mouth he knew his nose was broken. He knelt on the floor, still, holding his bleeding nose and shaking violently from a mix of anger and pain. He turned his head to find his attacker, only to be met with another force into his entire face. It knocked Dani straight back, causing his head to collide with the pavement. Shit. That hurt, badly. He could feel his own conscious slipping away from him, feeling dazed and tired, feeling his powers distorting and slipping away from him. With a deep breath Dani opened his eyes. If he were unhurt he would have gasped at the sight of the stranger, his stalker, staring down at him. He was smirking, a smirk that didn?t look right on the guy?s clean face. In an instant, however, all thoughts of the man?s cleanness was wiped from Dani?s mind and replaced with uncharacteristic fear and not so uncharacteristic anxiety. The man, chuckling lightly hovered his foot over Dani?s face, pressing the toe of his shoe down on Dani?s blooded nose. Dani just gritted his teeth and closed his eyes, waiting for what he thought would come. He didn?t get his nose crushed, though. Instead his strange stalker moved his foot to the side at the last moment and simply kicked Dani?s temple, effectively knocking him out. The church was dark, dead, footsteps echoed throughout the ancient building and up to its insanely high white roof. It was dreary and daunting, far too big and far too empty. Towards the front, the alter was still laid out for mass, a peculiar sight, especially seeing that the priest?s body had been thoughtlessly shoved halfway under the alter. Oh, sure, nobody was going to notice that. The only waking occupant of the church was a clean looking man, nice at first glance, until you looked at his smile. It wasn?t a normal smile, more like a smirk. He was pretty full of himself walking towards the alter, his hands behind his back, taking long strides to his prisoner tied to the chair just behind the alter. No doubt the goth man disliked churches, from the way he swore about religion, anyway. He took up the chalice from the alter, filling it with water. He made his way over to Dani, stepping over the priest carelessly (he wasn?t dead, though). For a moment the man stood in front of Dani, just staring at him. Blood still dripped from the goth?s nose, though it would be easy to fix. That would be Dani?s first payment, a fixed nose. Until then, Dani was free for a beating if he didn?t cooperate. Dani?s eyes shot open when cold water hit his face and his first instinct was to attack whoever threw it. He tried to, he really did, but his arms were tied behind a chair as well as his torso. Frustrated, he pulled at his restraints, not really getting anywhere. After a good five minutes of struggling Dani looked at his strange stalker again, still wondering why he wouldn?t stop smirking. ?Good to see you?re awake, Daniel.? The stranger said, carefully crafting his words. ?Dani.? ?Yes. Well. Good to see you?re awake, Dani. I hope you?re feeling good enough to have a little chat, I have a proposal for you. I think you?ll find this interesting.? ?Who the fuck are you? Untie me so I can beat yer sorry arse back to wherever the fuck you came from you posh fuckin? --? The stranger sighed, putting the chalice on the altar. He walked towards a babbling Dani, stayed still for a moment, waiting. In an instant the back of the stranger?s hand struck Dani fiercely across his face, effectively shutting the stunned goth up. Dani?s attacker cleared his throat, picking the chalice back up. He began to walk around Dani, not trying to intimidate him but slightly intimidating Dani anyway. The stranger was thinking, it seemed, thinking a response. Dani wasn?t sure what kind of person needed to think of a response for their name. The guy was probably spell checking his speech. ?They call me Oculus Sinister.? He replied, stopping in front of Dani. Dani raised an eyebrow. ?That?s what the opticians use. Oculus means eye. What kind of fuckin? name is that? Some kind of ancient Latin or Greek shit?? ?Where I from, it doesn?t mean eye. Here it means Left Eye, but not where I?m from.? ?Yeah, it does. My optician likes using Latin. It means Left Eye everywhere, it?s Latin.? ?No, it doesn?t.? ?It does.? Thunk. Dani?s face was met with the chalice in the freaky Latin guys hands. He didn?t hit Dani hard enough to break to chalice, just hard enough to shut him up. Dani kept his head to the side, locking his jaw shut in anger and pain. That would hurt in the morning. ?Now, for one, Oculus Sinister is a title. You will not address me as that. My name would be, in your terms, Therius Quan. We shouldn?t get into that right now; it isn?t relevant. The idea is you listen to me and you cooperate. If you don?t, I will hurt you. You know all about pain, don?t you, Daniel?? Dani didn?t reply. ?I know you do. No need to answer. And I?m sure you?d enjoy inflicting it on others, you can?t deny that either. We have a common enemy, a threat. If you help me eradicate this threat then I will reward you in anyway you see fit. There is nothing within my power.? Dani wasn?t feeling so smart tongued anymore. He wasn?t feeling so great, wasn?t feeling so invincible. This guy creeped him out, first person in the world to shut Dani up. Dani listened to the man, Quan or whatever his name was, paying a lot of attention to his smooth, carefully crafted words. Dani swallowed hard, looking at the man lazily. ?If you can do anything then why can?t you do it yourself?? he slurred. ?I cannot effect destiny. Your destiny, their destiny? any destiny. You can. I need you to help me with this, Daniel. I can give you anything you wish, as I already stated. I know what you want, it?s not hard to figure that out,? Quan smiled darkly, walking towards Dani. ?I need you to be loyal to me. Loyalty takes time, each time you will be given a reward. You can ask much more each time. For your first reward I will heal the wounds I caused and put a tiny amount of my trust in you.? Dani swallowed again. Quan was right near his face, almost touching him. It was unnerving. As Quan talked he seemed to get closer and closer, breathing cold breath onto Dani, his entire face parallel to the goth man?s. Dani swallowed again at that thought. He spoke with the only words that came to mind. ?Are you going to kiss me or somethin??? ?What? No!? Quan jumped back in offence. ?Right.? Dani raised an eyebrow. Sighing and somewhat taken off guard, Quan continued, beating the chalice in his hands. ?To the point, your Zodiac friends are the problem. I cannot hurt them but you can. I am hiring you to do my biding, not necessarily kill them, I want some of them gradually turn away from everyone else. Another man will be helping, I dare not say his name in case you refuse this offer, but you will both be under my loyalty by either bribery, a reward system or sheer faith. I hope in time you can trust me enough.? He moved forward again and was right in Dani?s face, smirking at the goth?s uncomfortable position. Dani was given a moment to consider, which he did, wondering if this man was real. Anything in the world? Dani wouldn?t kill for anything, would he kill for anything in the world? ?Would you, Daniel?? Quan whispered. Dani?s eyes widened, it was like the man had read his own thoughts. ?I can make you a god. If you stop them I will make you a god, the offer no man can refuse. Without them stood in the way you can do anything. I need your loyalty and I need you to prove it on the first time. Murder. Dani turned his head to the side futilely and locked his jaw again. He would give no reply. Quan was obviously very determined, he walked to Dani?s side and stared him in the face again. When Dani tried to turn away, Quan grabbed his head and kept their eyes locked. Dani, for a moment, had an overwhelming urge to use his powers. He then realised that this man could very well have the same thing, and be better at it. ?The offer of being a god is a cliché one, I know. If you agree I will heal your nose in a way your medical facilities cannot and if you kill? or help my other candidate kill? then I?ll take your powers far beyond anything you can imagine. Control. Borderline omnipotence.? Quan moved closed again, talking in Dani?s ear this time. ?Freedom.? Dani?s eyes widened again. He knew what he meant by freedom. No more OCD, no more of his own mental illness getting control of him, no more anxiety? he could use his powers anytime without fear and still remember enough to shove his enemies through dark corridors of insanity without risk of becoming even more insane. Dani had learned to accept who he was because there was no way he could change it, now that it had become clear he might be able to? well, he wasn?t too sure about his ?no one deserves to die? motto. ?I?ll come back to you soon,? Quan stated, untying Dani, ?I want to know your answer by then and I?ll make your nose straight again. Don?t bother getting it checked out, just clean yourself up. Think about what I said, Daniel. Think about it. I have another appointment with my other candidate; let?s hope he doesn?t attack me as well or he?ll suffer your broken nose and be tied to a chair.? Quan gave a slight wave of his hand and flashed a sinister smile before walking away from the alter. Dani, aware he was stood in a church that he really, really hated, just watched Quan disappear. He felt a twinge of anxiety stood in the church but no desire unlike other times to destroy the place. Dani was lost now. He didn?t want to kill anyone but he couldn?t let Quan?s offer slide. For some reason, Dani got the impression Quan was telling the truth, no matter how sinister it was.
10. Weeeh, feedback ^__^ Just thought I'd post to show I hadn't forgotten, trying to write another part between school and my RPG. Thank you both very much for your comments. I'll be sure to edit this post with the next part as soon as possible, although it may be slightly longer and hope you two could both be around to read it if you wish. Glad you liked it, Nothing (cool user name, heh). Allamorph, it was no problem what you said at all. Not at all. In fact, I very, very much apperciate the suggestions. I'm going to have to look out for my tenses when I write in first person from now on now that you mentioned that paragraph, heh. I'll see if I can improve on that for the next part. You don't have to worry about being a jerk, you were very helpful. And a seperate thank you for the ranked order for commas and whatnot. To be honest, most of my writing was learnt from reading stories because for all of primary school and for the first few years of high school no one bothered to explain anything but commas or fullstops (semi-colons are terrifying! I try to guess where they go) and now that I know what order there in that's going to come in real handy. As I said, next part up soon and I'll edit this post.

OOC: Uh oh. So are you dropping out Ginkaze? Ah damn. S?okay though, I know stuff can get pretty hectic at times ^_^;; Next post of mine = new chapter. You guys in the café/bar/that place which Only named (hehe =p ) can go have some fun. I started the action last time, you can, if you want, start some this time round. Moving on to the next chapter shouldn?t effect anyone but our villains. That should explain my post? and the mysterious dude in it? Lol, no worries, anything mysterious will end up being explained at one point >_< since every character knows about each other now we can REALLY rock! ?It?s this way? I think?? Dani rolled his eyes behind Moses. He wondered if the kid was for real, was it possible for someone to be so forgetful that they had trouble remembering the directions to their own home? Eh, it was hard to shrug off anything after the events that had taken place in the last couple of days. He also had a pretty dark feeling in the pit of his stomach that things were going to get interesting. Real interesting. He was quite fascinated at watching Moses trying to gathering his surroundings and his ?concentrating? looks, after awhile though Dani became somewhat bored. He wanted to go home and? sleep? Yeah, sleep. Actually, he wanted to play on the drums, but he didn?t have a drum set. Maybe a few pots and pans would do? His head snapped up when he heard voices ahead of him. Normally, people would mean either Dani could hate them or be a bit of a freak in front of them but he was instantly worried about the familiarity of those voices. When he caught sight of Charles, walking some distance in front of them with a girl he also recognized as Beth, Dani reacted as fast as he could. He snagged Moses? shirt collar and pulled him back around the corner, wheeling him backwards into a nearby alley. Dani wasn?t sure, but he got the impression that Charles may have caught a glimpse of him. ?I just saw Charles. Not that he?s anything to be afraid of, I just don?t think we should disturb him and his girlfriend.? Moses blinked at him questioningly. ?Charles? The guy we saw in jail?? Moses diverted his eyes to the floor for a moment, thinking, then back up to the sky. When it seemed he finally clocked on Dani lost interest. ?Never mind. I?m sure he likes you, so you?ll be fine. You can go home without me. I reckon you?re far better off if Charles doesn?t know you?ve been hangin? ?round with me. Just don?t tell him I tried to kill you or I truly will.? Dani threatened. Moses looked slightly unnerved. ?Christ sake, kid, I?m jokin?! I won?t kill you. Get yourself home ? if you can remember where that is ? and I?ll see you around sometime.? Dani gave Moses and slight nod and began to back off down the alley, letting Moses walk back out onto the streets. ??Kay, I?ll see you later, Dani, I guess.? Dani stopped in his tracks with his jaw half open. For one, he forgot he told the kid his name at some point and for two he was pretty damn shocked that idiot had just yelled that out. Great. A confrontation with Charles and his girlfriend. Christmas had come early for once? Dani hated Christmas, anyway. Despite an overwhelming urge to try and beat Charles into the ground, Dani decided after nearly drowning he didn?t want to put himself in too much bother. He just turned back down the alley way shaking his head and rolling his eyes. So now Dani?s life had taken a turn into the shadows where he couldn?t see for once. He had admitted to saving someone?s life, admitted to feeling guilty about killing people (yet surprisingly he would love more than anything in the world to kill them) and he was now involved with a group of 13 people like himself. No doubt they were all pretty insane. He turned a corner with a sigh and lent against the damp brick building, closing his eyes. Yep, life had just got a lot more interesting. He was about to take out his notepad and write down some stuff, mostly what he had learnt about Moses? powers, until he heard something. Footsteps, perhaps? He stood up probably and looked at the entrance he had turned down accusingly, squinting to see any shadows around the corner. There were none, so Dani claimed down, leaning back on the wall and taking out his notes. There was a brief pause in Dani?s normally fast thinking when it came to writing down what he had noticed so far. He realised for a moment he didn?t need to explain Moses? powers on paper, he?d pretty much remember all of them even if he were drunk. Dani?s head jolted to the side when he once again heard a sound that shouldn?t have been there. It wasn?t in his head nor was it a product of the dank, dirty alley around him. Screwing up the note and putting it in his pocket, Dani cocked his head at the sound, feeling somewhat annoyed when a strange looking shadow popped its head around the corner on the floor. Dani was sure it would be Charles. Angry, Dani clenched his hands into fists and darted around the corner, expecting to come face to face (more like nose to nose) with a pretty pissed off Charles. Dani hated being wrong. He was met with a pair of surprisingly calm eyes, rich blue and looking down at Dani. Knowing they weren?t Charles, Dani backed off, getting a clear view of a man he had never seen before in his life. A tall, lean man, stood with hands behind his back and a pretty stone-solid face. It Dani wasn?t straight, he?d say the man stood in front of him was slightly attractive with such a clean look and the way he even kept his dark black hair proper. In fact, the man?s entire presence was clean and simple, yet somehow there was something else to him. Something Dani didn?t like. ?Who the fuck?re yo--? Dani started. The man gave him a smirk, a pretty mocking smirk, before turning around slowly and starting to walk off. Now Dani, finding this highly offensive, raced off towards the man. He caught up with him fast and reached out to grab his shoulder, until Dani was suddenly tripped up by his own two feet. Slightly shocked at his own clumsiness Dani fell on the floor with a loud thud, too surprised to get up quick enough. He rolled over onto his back with a groan, pain shooting through his jaw and chest. He caught the glimpse of the man?s upside-down image rushing off down the street, cursing under his breath.
12. Oh ****. Okay, why is it I completely missed the two new posts in this thread? XD sorry... So now I'm behind. Hmm. Okay, firstly we had Ginkaze drop out so we're currently looking for a replacement Picses. Also, there must be a solid 13 characters with powers, no more or less. That means Cathrine would have to go. As in... non-exsistent. Now I don't mean for Ginkaze to delete the posts or anything - I want them there - I just mean that Cathrine would have to lose her powers or... die. Losing her powers would take too long, so dying may be the only option. Have to see, I guess. This should be interesting. I mean, really interesting. I would hope that every character can see the death (not in a sadistic way, heh) because it would be great to move everything along. I mean, Jesus, they saw someone die! Or knows someone died! No denying your powers now, or the fact that you've got people out to kill you. During and after this third chapter, we can really get things rolling. Reaaaaaaaally, as in rock 'n' roll like the world's going to end. It won't, but we can still have fun, right? >_> Harlem Academy was the name of the place in the little advertisement thing. Originally it was going to be a meeting place but I decided to leave that out. Maybe one or two characters could suggest it as a meeting place? It'll have to be in the city, though, not in London (I think I might've wrote down London...) Right. I'm done talking.

OOC: Gah, cruddy post, sorry >_
14. *Scratches chin* Hmmz... 1. What do you [as a member] want to see most in a RP? I mostly like RPGs to be original and promising. There's been so many RPGs that it does get hard to be creative, so I won't exactly run away from an RPG that looks like something I saw two years ago. Guess sooner or later original will be doing something that hasn't been done in months, but oh well. Promising... don't you think it's a waste if you make an awesome character but never get to use them? Or only get to post once or twice with them? Yeah, I've had my awfully fair share of RPGs that died and characters got wasted, which is why I'll look out for RPGs that look like they'll get somewhere. I normally avoid things with posting orders or a huge set of solid rules to abide by. 2. What RP rating do you [as a member] usually play in? Anything, really. Mostly M rated stuff, for no odd reason other than I wouldn't be scared to have my character swear their heart out. Though I don't try to avoid all non-M rated RPGs, heh. 3. Does humorous fun outweigh killing and gore or vice-versa? [Come on... be honest] I think I'm a fan of violence. I think... anyways, I'd say it should be equal but I'd rather have violence (good violence, though, not stupid violence) and action than humour. Partly because I suck at humour. I don't reckon you can make a totally interesting story off humour, nor can you make one off violence alone... so like a few have said, a balance would be good. Still rather had just a tad more violence than humour, lol. 4. Do you post mainly for RP's whenever you enter the Boards? I actually only come on here to check out my RPGs/the one's I'm in. I do post everywhere else if I'm bored, though I ain't too bothered about posting anywhere else. I think a few months ago I'd never post anywhere but the Arena, 'cept nowadays my life's getting boring so I need some entertainment elsewhere.
15. S'not much of a problem Darren, I shoved the map in my post anyway, heh. Oh ja I'm thinking of ending the chapter after a few more posts or so. Want to give everyone a chance to post, and hopefully find the other characters again (hence the term 'hide and seek, lol). Though as far as a new chapter goes there won't be a major change, so you can go on posting like there ain't no new chapter. Like I said, I wait for you guys to post and develop stuff. And yup, Dani and Charles'll be villians. Or as close to villians as you can get, heh.

Dani raised his arms over his head in a futile attempt to cover the water that had splashed up from the dock. He backed away from the water, gazing at the sheer amount that had been flung into the air. Wow, some power. The wood below Dani soon became coated with wet, slippery water, causing Dani to slip whilst he walked back and hit the wood with a crack. He momentarily took notice of the map that seemed to be stuck stubbornly too his shoe, tearing it off and shoving it in his pocket with little interest. The water fell back to its original spot (most of it) and Dani looked up cautiously. He could just imagine another lot of water bursting up from the docks, he could just imagine him walking home soaking wet. Thankfully, it didn?t happen. Dragging in a harsh breath, Dani patted the map in his pocket, which had blown in his face almost deliberately. He decided to concentrate of that part of his mini adventure later, right now he was more interested in Moses. The gothic man crouched down at the water?s edge, squinting for any signs of shadows. Nothing. He made a face that indicated he was frustrated, wondering if perhaps one of the others had gotten involved. One of them probably had something to do with the mysterious flying paper, really. ?Why was the water so calm? Dani narrowed his eyes suspiciously. Where the hell was Moses? Dani was started to breath quite unevenly now. Worried? No, he wasn?t allowed to get worried. He patted his pockets, looking frantically for his lighter. His panic and anxiety increased when he noticed he had forgotten it. Shit boy. Shit. Don?t you dare die. Don?t you fuckin? die? Dani repeated it over and over in his head. He heard other voices, other parts of him telling him that he didn?t care. It was just a boy. Dani wasn?t allowed to worry. He wasn?t allowed to care. I?m not a cold hearted murderer? That was all he needed to convince himself. Since Moses wasn?t going to rise to the surface on his own, Dani?d have to get him. He took off his jacket, not wanting it to weigh him down and considered for a moment. When it became apparent that Moses probably couldn?t stay under the water forever Dani launched himself head first into the water. Cold water rushed against his face, his shoulders, his legs and then his entire body. At first it was shocking, he kind of regretted pushing Moses in. Anyway, that didn?t matter. Dani wasn?t going to be a murderer. He rushed around in the cold water even though he struggled to see and hold his breath properly. When he figured Moses wasn?t going to be floating near the bloody surface, he swam deeper. And that?s when he saw it. He came to a sudden halt, blowing out a lot of useful air through his nose by accident. It took him awhile to believe his own eyes, but he guessed being a gifted little guy it was true. There was a bubble around Moses, somewhat blurry due to the water obscuring Dani?s sight, and it seemed to be completely void of water. Dani was merely interested to see so he darted himself forward (despite his limited air)? a little too quickly. By the time he reached Moses? mysterious bubble Dani had thrown himself right into it. Shoot a hole in a space ship, space ship gets forced a part. Enough Sci-Fi?s informed Dani of that. When the water rushed into Moses? freaky little bubble Dani?s first instinct was to grab him, even with his eyes closed. The water?s power almost ripped Moses? from Dani?s grip but he managed to keep hold of Moses? collar. Dani suddenly became aware of how tight his chest was becoming and how much he was straining to breathe. He pulled Moses into a headlock, not a hard one, and forced himself up to the surface. Luckily, Dani had swam to the docks and managed to grab onto the slippery wood with his spare hand. He brought himself up, coughing and choking just like Moses. Dani flung Moses onto the dock with quite some force for a man who nearly drowned. Having no desire to die himself, Dani pulled himself up shakily. His fingers couldn?t latch onto the wood and he slipped back in with an uncharacteristic frighten gasp. Oh God. You?re going to die. Dani wasn?t sure whether or not he was talking to Moses or talking about himself, he just felt pretty shaken up. No doubt Moses felt worse. After swallowing at least a tank full of water, Dani was concerned enough for his own life that he darted for the surface once more. This time he got a good grip, dragging himself up like he couldn?t move his legs (he doubted very much he could). I?ll just die here for now.. He thought to himself whilst crouched over and spewing out water. Yeah? just? here?s fine?
17. Sergei clutched his hand around his Pokeball tightly and waited for Ashin to throw her Pokemon out. As she did so, Sergei threw his Pokeball out, shouting Nidoran's name when both Pokeball's hit the ground. The Nidoran burst out of the Pokeball in a blur of red energy, scratching the grass with his hind legs like a bull. "Attack first, Nidoran!" Sergei put his confidence in his Nidoran, knowing his Pokemon didn't need to be ordered around all the time. Nidoran ran forward with its horn pointed at Rattata, possibly taking the Pokemon offguard. Rattata was a pretty quick Pokemon but it didn't react in time to fully dodge Nidoran's attack. Nidoran's horn grazed Rattata's side and the rat Pokemon counter attacked with a tail whip. Sergei winced. Rattata wasn't really clueless, it certainly knew how to defend itself without its trainers order. Sergei reckoned Nidoran could take a Rattata, though. "Keep on attacking, Nidoran, you're bound to knock Rattata out!" Nidoran raced forward again at the Rattata but it was the same result; Rattata dodged it with only a graze. Sergei narrowed his eyes at the two Pokemon battling, watching how Rattata managed to run out of the way. Maybe attacking wasn't such a good idea. Ashin was watching pretty deeply, too, her faith was in the right place, with her Pokemon. And Rattata did a pretty good job. It wasn't long until Rattata was backed against a tree, whether it knew or not. Sergei let a grin spread across his face. "Best shot, Nidoran!" Nidoran kicked up dirt with its hind legs and charged forward with its horn aimed at Rattata. It was only then Sergei noticed Nidoran had its eyes closed. He drew in a sharp breath, Ashin noticed Sergei's nervousness and caught on pretty quick. "Now Rattata!" Rattata scurred out of the way and Nidoran didn't notice, having its eyes closed. He ran straight into the tree with a heavy bang, hurting itself greatly and staggering back almost as if it were going to faint. Rattata, turning the tables, was now on the attack. It tackled Nidoran sucessfully... ...but not before Nidoran turned its head. Rattata had tackled into Nidoran's horn. Although Nidoran was sent shakedly to the ground, getting up with a lot of injuries and looking very weak, Rattata also seemed somewhat injured. The two trainers blinked at the situation for awhile, neither knowing exactly what had happened. "Nidoran poisoned Rattata with its horn..." He muttered. But now Nidoran was weak. Very, very weak. Rattata looked like it could easily finish Nidoran off even though it was poisoned, a poisoned Pokemon lasted for sometime before it fainted... Sergei gulped, tightening his hands around his Pokeball. He considered it for a moment... his options... until he finally decided he would withdraw Nidoran and send out hopefully his best chance: Charmander.

Dani raised his eyebrow at Moses? smile. He didn?t reply to his question for no odd reason other than he liked to see people squirm in such a way. When he opened his mouth to reply, he caught the sight of someone across the road. As quickly as Dani caught them they were gone, Dani frowned at this, but decided he might catch them if he went the other way round. ?Right, well I?ll just, like, leave now, ?kay?? ?Yeah sure kid, I?ll walk you home. Which way you live? This way, right? Good.? Dani put his arm around Moses? shoulder as if he were a friend, dragging him forward. ?No I don?t -- ? ?Shut up.? Moses opened his mouth to speak again but Dani, having the advantage because he had an arm wrapped around Moses? neck, simply placed his palm over the boy?s mouth and continued dragging him along. Anyone would think they were friends, anyone who didn?t know Dani, and that?s what he intended. He just hoped none of the Zodiac creeps would find him. ?Listen, you got any special powers? Like voodoo shit? I don?t know. Can you do anything cool?? Moses just looked up at Dani. Dani stared at him, impatient for a reply. He was actually about to yell at Moses until he realised he still had his hand over his mouth. Dani removed his hand quickly and waited for a response. ?I don?t? no, don?t think so?? Dani eyed Moses. Either he did have powers and Moses was suspicious of Dani, or he really didn?t know. Dani wasn?t sure the kid was too bright. Seemed like he had to think real hard with real simple answers. ?What star sign you, then?? Moses concentrated for a moment (for awhile, in fact). ?I?m Canc ? wait, why do you want to --? By the time Moses had realised he perhaps shouldn?t trust this man, Dani had all the answers he needed. Cancer. Water sign. He wasn?t going to let Moses run off home now that he was done, though; Dani still had lots more to do. He knew that Moses was somewhat afraid of him. At the same time Dani wondered if Moses was going to turn around and use his powers? wait, that was an idea. Dani was so sure that Moses had powers, so sure that the boy was either too dumb to know or hiding his knowledge that Dani was willing to force Moses' powers out. ?D?you wanna go to the docks? Reckon it?s cool ?round there at this time. No people.? Dani said, fully aware that Cancer was a water sign and the docks were full of? well? water. ?Uhm? no, I just want to go home.? Dani looked side to side at the people around him, leaning in closer so no one could hear him. ?Moses, I?m not giving you a choice. I?m not going to kill you, but if I have to break your legs and drag you to the docks? fine by me.?

?Bloody useless piece of...? Dani sat back on his couch having given up with the CD player. He groaned in annoyance, holding some sort of frozen food to his neck where Charles had put his hands. Dani just hoped he didn?t come out in blisters? He craned his neck enough to hold his ice pack with no hands and took out the pad that was beside him. The grabbed the nearest pen (the only one, in fact) and began to write. For someone with no money, little tolerance for the law or people, his handwriting was in fact very neat. It wasn?t overly fancy, either; just nice and neat. He twisted his wrist around before writing down the very important names. Eddie, Cathrine, Beth, Dorian, Brian, Moses, Juliet, Eden, Cairo the delivery boy, that dodgy looking man in the end cell? Charles. Note to self: Use Charles as a battering ram to beat the others? Note the self number two: Steal his wallet first. He took the ice off his neck and groaned. For now his list was good enough, as long as he remembered their names. He would look for them soon, all of them, figure out who was going to stand in his way and who would leave him alone. Of course, half of them hated Dani, so he didn?t think he had to be picky. He scratched his head wearily, counting how many he?d seen so far. Twelve, including himself. Why twelve? ?Zodiac?? He mumbled. He remembered the poster he had seen, a prediction almost to what had happened. That had to be it! He leapt up ignoring the pain in his neck and began to furiously rummage through the papers on his desk. Everyone had a bloody Zodiac calendar, or something to do with the star signs. He threw away pills of phonebooks and probably bills, effectively clearing off his desk. Not there. He moved onto the next pile, taking a few drawings off the top. ?Ah you fuckin? genius?? Dani complimented himself with the calendar in his hand. He sat back down and flicked through all the way to Capricorn. He stared at the dates for awhile, each day by turn, until he came to the 10th. That was it. That was when his powers first stared, on that night. He ran his hands down the calendar, a mark of frustration. He should have picked it up earlier. But then he turned to the back and noticed a 13th Zodiac, not present in any of the normal myths. Ophiuchus, the snake bearer. Juliet immediately came to mind and Dani realised there was one more person. Someone he?d missed. Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Picses, Ophiuchus? Fire, Earth, Air, Water .ect. Ophiuchus = Snake bearer? He continued writing for some time, looking through his calendar, putting down dates and any loose information he could find. He felt as if he were ahead of everyone else with this information, even though he didn?t know the missing person. He thought back on their time in jail, noting everyone was there. Maybe it was one of the officers? or perhaps the coughing Dani had heard wasn?t from one of the inmates. Dani ripped off the paper and shoved it in his pocket quickly. He rummaged through his clothing and put on a t-shirt, for once, and pulled his jacket over it, making the collar rise to hide his burns. He took up a pair of drumsticks from the vase at the side of his desk and went for a walk outside, hoping now that they were all released from jail. Dani was going to get answers, whether they were willing or not. Nice and quiet. Nice and quiet was how Dani liked it. No people around the bother him today. There were cars passing but Dani didn?t mind that at all. The only sounds to be heard were those cars and their wheels scraping along the concrete and a tapping. Wood against stone. Wood against stone, with a beat and an almost groove to it. Rhythm. If there was one thing Dani had which he didn?t regret or backfire with it was rhythm. He missed the days when he actually had a drum kit? He was almost running as he played his drumbeat on the wall, stopping now and then for no reason at all and continuing as if nothing had happened. He was still determined to find those losers from the prison cell ? more determined, in fact ? and get those answers. If they weren?t a threat he?d leave them alone, if they were a threat and they were threatening him? well, he?d have to take care of that as much as he could. Slowing down his tapping Dani noticed he was getting further and further into the city. Good for finding people? bad because it contained people. He decided to stop tapping the wall in fear he would draw attention to himself (More than usual), didn?t want anyone noticing him and asking questions. Dani?s eyes fell on someone walking in front of him. No one else really around on the same side of the street. He squinted for a moment before coming to a stop. Was that Moses? Only one way to find out. Dani raised one of his drumsticks and aimed it at Moses. Figuring he was way too far behind to hit the boy, Dani set off on a slow jog, still with the drumstick aiming at the boy. Dani smirked, knowing how much drumsticks hurt. He was almost directly behind Moses? and? Thunk. Moses had turned around just in time for the drumstick to hit him square in the eye. Dani, just a few steps in front of him, was smirking greatly and trying to hide a need to laugh. Moses was currently still holding his eye, Dani intended to stick around until the lad looked up. It was going to be fun.
20. Okay, yep, a story. And I know how to spell Chaos, lol. First off, yes, I do have issues with stereotypes. Mostly personal but I thought I'd base one last thing on it. No, I am not bitching about anything, I just find the subject of people labelling themselves, being labelled and then bullied for the label they received positively fucking stupid and cruel. But like I said, not a bitching story. There's more than bullies and man-apes. The prologue? maybe it betrays what I?ve just said, but I?ll prove to you in the next chapters the other elements I plan to involve. I'd greatly appreciate some comments, it's been far too long since I've been commented. Like it? Hate it? I won't cry over your opinion, but I'll listen. Have fun reading. For once, I'm not going to write in that stupid size one font (which is hypocritical, as I'm using it now, lol). Also, it's written in first person and it's pretty much safe to say I have next to no experience with writing in first person. This time round... it seemed to fit. THE KHAOS THEORY [M-LV] Prologue I hear the Chaos Theory is some kind of? mathematics, physics or something like that. Well, I won?t fully pretend to understand it, because I don?t. Doubt I ever will. It must be something crazy, of course. Why would they call it the Chaos Theory if it was easy too understand? Unless they were trying to be funny. Nah, probably not. Scientists are never funny. Anyway, that?s not my idea of Chaos at all. In fact, I prefer to think of it as Khaos, spelt with a ?K?. Looks far better and people won?t get it confused with the other theory. I?m not a scientist, but I?m not stupid, either. I prefer to think of myself as a sociologist? except I?m still in high school? would that still count? Never mind. My theory is that everyone is born free. Yeah, free. For the first few years of their life they have no limits, no boundaries to what their fragile mind can achieve. I guess, for most, you spend your first few years in absolute bliss. The majority of us, I suppose. You know like as a child everything you see, everything you touch, is always new and wonderful? That?s what I?m talking about! But? freedom? it?s not free for long. When you grow up everything loses it?s wonder. Everything makes sense. You pay the price for your freedom by becoming? normal? growing up. Freedom is the greatest thing in this world and we will pay the greatest price. What greater price than to lose it? But if you?re stubborn, like me, you?ll hold onto that freedom for a little while longer. Hell, it won?t matter. Your payment will catch up with you and you?ll be in debt. You?ll have to pay extra. I?m still hanging onto my freedom as society tries to beat it out of me. That?s my theory. You pay for being open minded, for seeing the world like it really is without a care by giving it up. If you keep it, you just slow down your payment and end up in debt to the world. Why?s it the Khaos Theory? Why is it khaotic? Because it?s cruel, unpredictable, hard to understand? Like I said. I?m hanging onto my freedom as they try to beat it out of me. Not all of society, just the society I exist within. The group that matters; the group that make themselves matter in my life. Sucks to be me? It?s raining on this cold, merciless morning and I don?t care. I like the rain, it?s peaceful, nobody else likes the rain so they stay away from it. Stay away from me. I can?t say I like people as much as the rain, can?t say I like people at all. I walk along the side of the road, stepping over puddles because I don?t want to get my boots wet, making sure I?m concentrating on where I?m going. There?s a bus stop directly ahead of the grim street, it?s normally deserted. Anyone who gets the bus to school gets it late because it?s an excuse to be lazy, so I get the pleasure of waiting on my own. In the rain, too. Around me are grey buildings, houses and rubbish littering their gardens. Beyond that, where I can?t reach even if I walked for an hour, was the even duller silhouette of the city centre?s large buildings poking their heads into the sky. I looked over at the buildings, shielding my eyes from the rain as you would do with the sun. It was a very, very mismatched sight. Old buildings were definitely old, creaking, falling a part yet still standing and surrounded by new buildings, built from glass and not from stone. They were trying to remodel this city and it was just looking like a mess. I shrug it off, why should I care? To be honest, I was more concerned about the rain. I?m at the bus stop, leaning myself against the wall of the stop and taking in a breath of the air. Gah, I might as well choke. All I breathed in was a mouthful of carbon dioxide and city acid mixed with warm rain. That?s right; the rain was warm. My clothes would smell bad afterwards, too. I see a bus heading towards me on its own, no cars in front no cars behind. Sticking my thumb out, I smile when the bus pulls up slowly beside me and wait patiently for the driver to open the doors. I paid my fair to a somewhat grim, sullen driver and took a seat at the front. Never sat at the back, I?d rather stay near the front where I can get off quicker. Besides, they sat at the back. For the most part a bus ride was peaceful for me, however when I heard broken English slang behind me my heart sunk. I knew those dodgy accents and overly loud, annoying voices. I wish they would be fat and lazy and not get up so early to join me on my bus ride, because deep down (oh, and on the top) they are fat and lazy. Whatever they were talking about suddenly came to a stop and their voices lowered to a whisper. I breathed heavily, a sure sign they noticed me. Seconds after they most likely spoke about me under their breath, they burst out into laughter. The most irritating, loud, dumb laugh you could ever hear. My ears would bleed from that kind of noise pollution. ?Should we go over and sit next to it?? ?Nah, s?probably bisexual.? It? I?m not a fucking it. They insult me so loudly, making a point of me hearing their opinion. Yeah, it made me angry, alright. They don?t know me, I did nothing to them. Well, I?d just ignore it, of course (until I can?t tolerate it). There will be far worse things in my life than them, I will not cry at insults. I will not cry at the first sign of Khaos. Besides, they couldn?t even speak. They said ?over? as ?ova?, they barely pronounced the word ?it?, so I wasn?t going to give a shit about them. Really. Like I said, far worse things would happen to me. ?Oi mate!? I looked over to them and caught the sight of a tall lad standing up at the back before I was hit in the eye with something I couldn?t determine. It had felt like a brick in my eye, a cold brick against my face. I heard sizzling on the floor and I opened my unharmed eye and saw a can full of some sort of fizzy crap spilling its contents out on the floor. I look up to the mirror, I see the driver?s dull face acknowledge the can and my now red eye but he doesn?t care. That?s because he?s afraid. They?re laughing at me. There?s no one else around but them and me yet I?m still humiliated. I hate that feeling so much but I won?t let it control me. I will not break at the first sign of Khaos. I can?t help it. I just glance at them, hate written all over my face. I know my eyes are betraying me and I look like I?ll cry? though I?m satisfied with the results. The boy who threw the can stared at me, dumbfounded, lifting his cap off his eyes to see me. I turn away and their voices are lowered to a whisper again. ?Did you?s see the way he was lookin??? Oh god. I wish they?d talk properly instead of acting like trained apes. Fucking apes. But? they?re worthless. Really. Fucking. Worthless. There?s no god because no entity would dare create such useless beings, no entity could possibly be cruel enough to taint society with such idiots and make them live their lives out with a closed ant-size mind. I?m not the best person in the world but I?m glad to know I won?t come last as long as these creatures exist. I jump up quickly so I don?t miss my stop, stepping in fizzy coke as I do so. The bus driver gives me a glance and I don?t bother to look at him. He slows down with a bump, throwing me forward a bit before lazily opening the doors. As I step out into the wet again I feel relief that I can be alone for a short time. So much relief. Then it?s taken away. I?m pushed forward fiercely, so quickly that I can?t even react. The offender knocks me into fibre glass straight ahead, holding me there by the back of my jacket and pulling at my black hair with his hands, digging his nails into my head. He?s pulling so hard that I begin to think I might need to buy a wig and he?s pushing my neck so hard I don?t think I?ll live to buy one. Immediately I know it was the boy who threw his drink at me on the bus, immediately I know the result of his attack. ?Who the fuck did?ya think yer lookin? at?? He snarls in my ear. I don?t reply. He won?t understand me, he won?t listen, he won?t care. ?I?ll deck you!? I secretly roll my eyes at his statement and I think, for a moment, perhaps he noticed. He turned me around swiftly, fiercly,I looked at his face, his bulging out eyes, misshapen nose and unhealthy skin before he swung his fist into my other eye. I stumbled to the side but I wasn?t knocked off my feet and I watched them run away. Two girls and a boy. Why attack someone and run away? Why not stay and mock them for longer, make a lasting effect? Because they?re to stupid to do that, that?s why. They?re cowards and don?t want to fight back. I take in another breath of black city smoke and allow myself to sit down on the drenched ground. Both sides of my head are throbbing with pain and my jaw is glued together with anger. I didn?t even know them. They didn?t know me. I do, however, know why they did it. Society?s so cruel that you all need a label. They jump to the conclusion that I don?t listen to rap, I don?t dress the same and I don?t have the same opinions and therefore label me god knows what. Perhaps in some other place it?s not like this. Perhaps it hasn?t resorted to violence from a few youths because they feel they need to show off their ape-like manly hood to their mates. I don?t know. People get hurt all the time, I guess. The Earth revolves around paranoia and prejudice, discrimination? whatever. It?s just stupid. But I?ll hang onto my freedom. I stand up and walk on, content that they?re gone. I know I?ll have a black eye, maybe two, in the morning but I don?t care. My freedom?s worth fighting for. Well, there you have it, I guess. Your introduction to the world. Welcome to the Khaos Theory, folks.

OOC: It?s getting late here and there?s no way in hell I?m writing another crappy post. So here ends our night in prison. You can go your separate ways or stay with people, but basically everyone who was present in the prison (such as Victor, Cairo and Zane) are involved. So that means after this post? go have fun again. Go make things interesting, use your powers, find the people you spent the night with in the prison, try and figure things out? anything. I?ll even get things moving by setting Dani off on a wonder around town so you can all jump him if you like, lol. Apologies for those who didn?t get to post their characters thoughts, feelings or whatever about the situation, just moving things along. And Jesus Christ [strike]Danny[/strike] Prince Van, colourful language O_o;; (lol, kiddin?, just Goat here don?t use the ?c? word often?) Hope your character is planning on staying one night too, so I just threw him in the cell with us? ---------- Alright, so Dani was feeling better now. He was still on the floor because it felt comfortable to him, as if it would be the only sleep he?d get. He wasn?t sleeping, but it was close enough. He kept his head titled to the side to keep tabs on everyone else. No one was doing anything to show they were weird like him, still didn?t make Dani?s suspicions go away. They were all carrying powers, probably for free. Dani figured they were all a threat to him. Half of them were like the fucking Power Rangers, fighting for good and therefore stopping Dani in his tracks? bloody hell. That?s what he guessed from their attitudes (excluding? a few? perhaps). He came to the conclusion that fate was working here, they were all in the same corridor for a reason. He concluded that everyone present, no matter how insignificant, was now pretty much a target. Dani figured if he even saw any of them again he?d have something to say, make sure they stay out of his way. Or start another fight. Dani would get all cut up and bruised but the things he could do to their head? it?d be worth it. He saw a new girl arrive. She was on his hit list, too. He listened carefully, really carefully, catching her name. Cathrine? and she was young, too. A teenager. Dani?s attempt at hurting Juliet had really done some damage, his powers weren?t helping him control himself. He turned away quickly from the girl and grabbed his head. He was mean, he was nasty but he wasn?t going to torture any young girls, despite what his insanity had decided. Curiosity took hold of him at the sound of the door opening again. He turned to see the corridor flood with light and a police man walk in, again. Standing up, Dani glimpsed into the corridor. A man, looking as though he wasn?t a criminal at all, was dragged along behind the copper that seemed to enjoy transversing the corridors. Dani squinted. Fate was indeed bringing them all together, though he couldn?t help but feel there was something more. ?Okay folks, one more addition to your crazy circus. You?re here until morning but don?t be surprised if we call you back. You too, buddy, you?re here until morning.? The police man nodded towards the new arrival. ?Juliet, boss says you gotta leave now. Give these goons sometime to clear their head.? Juliet acknowledged the officer, somewhat distantly, and gave a nod. The young officer stepped aside to let her pass and she left, but not before giving a stern glance at Dani. Dani breathed in, heavily. ?I?ll see you later.? She warned. There was a somewhat uncomfortable silence present among the ?circus crew? for awhile, a chance for the young officer to survey the strange collection of people in the cells. He breathed in, ran a hand through his thick brown hair, and continued. ?You girl, ?cause your young and this is your first offence, you get off with a warning. Anymore and we smack you up in here for a week, got it?? The officer directed his attention to Cathrine, who was sharing a cell with Brian and Charles. Obviously the police in this station knew nothing about keeping prisoners, or the law, for that matter. ?Hey Stan, delivery boys here. Been waitin? awhile.? The young officer turned to the voice that had called from the reception. He decided it was his time to go and after giving them all a look over, he turned to leave. ?Who?s the delivery boy?? Dani was not going to let a chance of another extraordinary person slip from his fingers. ?Cairo, works right outside where you started that fight. I think I better warn him about you, if he so much as says your face around there again, we?ll bang you up in here again.? There was a laugh from the staff at the reception who had obviously heard the young officer?s remark. Dani, squinting and letting himself sit back, remembered to keep that officer on his hit list. He looked over at the new arrival, at least two cells away from him, giving the man a creepy smile. He wasn?t looking, though. In a short time before anyone could dawn on their situation any longer, the officer called for lights out, and they indeed went out. Dani, once again, lay himself quietly on the floor. He closed his eyes so tightly, trying to calm himself down from his experience with Juliet. He needed to sleep, needed to be strong. He needed to win one over with all these guys, so they wouldn?t push him around. Dani would never in his life be the subject to bullying ever again. He felt his arm go limp in the arm and fall slowly on his stomach, his breathing became normally as he began to drift off into sleep. He doubted he?d ever get to sleep like this again? ?Night, freak.? Dani growled at the sound of Charles voice waking him up. With the click, clank and sound of rusty doors being pushed aside came an excuse for Dani to open his eyes. No sleep for the wicked. He forced his body to turn over and looked at the open cell door in front of him, staring for a moment. He was free to go, apparently. Dani breathed in heavily and stood up, walking towards the cell door. Apparently, they were letting everyone out one by one, and Dani was first. He stood up, passed through the cell door and pasted the young officer once more, glancing at him only once. Dani moved to walk away but his arm was seized. ?Remember, we don?t want you here again.? Dani barely acknowledged this. He turned around with a heavy sigh and began to leave, walking down the corridor. He looked at each person as he left. Charles he gave a mocking smirk to, Brian he did the same? then he saw the girl again. Dani looked away from her suddenly, hoping that his powers would help him control his mind if he were strong enough. It worked, almost, so he focused his attention on the others, instead. Beth looked pretty? well, strange. He noticed her hands, the way she had them, like they were the most dangerous thing in the world. Dani wondered about that. Her powers? Quite likely. Well, he didn?t doubt the fact that he would find out sooner or later. There was nothing to say or do to the others, so instead he stopped at the newest arrival. The man looked at Dani, confused at first. Dani, looking back and noticing he was still being watched by a suspicious young officer, only leaned forward momentarily. ?You are not off the hook.? That was all Dani said to Victor before leaving for his far away home, to make a list of the people he had to watch out for.
22. Sergei looked around Ashin's home somewhat wearily. It was nice, htough he wasn't normally comfortable in other people's homes. He scratched his nose and stopped glancing when he came across on Oddish at the far side of the room. Sergei blinked at it and Oddish returned the same bewildered look. "Hey Sergei," Ashin had walked back into the house, "are you staying for dinner?" "Sure, but I want to look around sometime. I'm thinking of challenging Brock sometime, so I want to get some practice in. Don't want to lose, do I?" he smiled at Ashin but quickly removed his smile when a woman, most likely Ashin's mother, walked through. She gave Sergei a warm nod, and Sergei looked at the ground. "You must be the trainer travelling with Ashin," her mother said. "So what Pokemon did you pick?" "I got a Charmander, but I caught a Nidoran and a Pikachu on the way here." "I got myself a Rattata, mom." Ashin added. They talked for awhile about their Pokemon, a conversation that managed to put Sergei at ease enough to sit down. There were two Pokemon in Ashin's house, a Quilava and an Oddish. Sergei preferred Quilava, since it was a fire Pokemon, of course. Sergei decided to ask if he could let his Pokemon out, since he was still a bit weary about being in someone elses house. Ashin said it was fine, anyway, so Sergei did... but immediately regretted it. Sergei's newly caught Pikachu was a maniac. As soon as it escaped for its Pokeball it was searching around the house, not making a mess, really, just running around. It circled the other Pokemon enthusiastically but didn't give any of them time to react. It didn't matter if his Pikachu was a coward, it was fast and it wouldn't stay still! When Ashin's mom walked back in Pikachu had ran up to her, running around her before diving underneath her back to Sergei. Sergei looked up apologetically with the Pikachu on his lap, quickly wrapping his arms around it so it didn't speed off again. "Sergei, I think your Pikachu's hyperactive!" Ashin laughed. "I think you're right. Look at it, it won't stay still!" He was right. Charmander and Nidoran were curious, too, and they peered over Sergei's lap. Pikachu was looking side to side at its surroundings, never keeping a single part of its body still for any moment. If it wasn't looking around it was twitching. Sergei knew there was something weird about his Pikachu before he even caught it. "Do you think I should get him checked out?" Sergei asked. Ashin's mom interrupted with a hearty laugh. "I wouldn't worry about it, dear. Pokemon all have different personalities, some just so more than others. You've just got a very enthusiastic, energetic Pikachu. There's nothing wrong with it at all." Sergei sighed, his mind at ease. He looked down at his Pikachu who was too busy paying attention to every little detail it spotted in the room to notice Sergei's glance. Sergei wondered for a moment if he would be able to control such a hyper Pokemon in battle. He wasn't going to go up against Brock if he couldn't control his Pokemon. He was going to have to battle someone and find out. He wasn't sure but... maybe Ashin would battle him. "Hey Ashin... what do you say to a battle?" ---- OOC: S'up to you if you wanna battle Sergei of not Foxtu ^_^ I dun mind, I won't be all god-like and flatten you either. Sergei can get his ass kicked any day, lol

Dani smiled, a real smile for the first time in awhile. This girl had something, she wasn?t scared of him. Dani found that oddly impressive. She wasn?t scared but he was determined to make her scared, at some point. Dani felt like it was a challenge. See if he could make the hard girl quiver and shake. Yeah, he could do that. He could do it. ?I can do something mighty extraordinary, alright.? Dani snarled, coming up to the bars and talking in her face. ?That boy ain?t exactly a little toy you feed instructions into. I can make you do things you won?t even imagine. I can make you see things that demons have nightmares about, show the kinda crap the devil wouldn?t want his kids to see on TV. I can put it in your head if I?m touching you, a direct link, or if you?re being a bit stubborn and I twist the shadows to my will. You?ll see the darkest images in front of you, and if you close your eyes it won?t make a difference? it?ll be in the back of your head, imprinted on your eyelids. It won?t go away.? He was very, very close to her now, so close that she could feel his words on her face, smell the blood from his mouth. She was listening, she didn?t back away, she just kept her eyes locked with is and didn?t even try and to blink. Dani was so close that he felt as if he could feel her thoughts, though really, he knew that wasn?t his power. ?I thought I told you, no crap.? She said back, mimicking his tone. ?I?ll just have to show you then, won?t I?? Before Juliet could comprehend what he said Dani grabbed the back of her head and slammed her into the bars, his eyes directly looking into hers. There was the sound of rustling and movement from the other cells, probably a lot of the others were getting sick of Dani trying to pull something off with his powers. At least they were becoming aware of him. ?Do you know what I dream about? Hurting people. I have all this stored in my head, it would be selfish to keep it to myself. Breathe in the black smoke? and? well, choke.? Dani knew whatever he said in his head would somehow echo into Juliet?s mind. It would stay there for awhile, hours, days even, just daunting like a bad memory. Everything was just like a dream, blurred, images and experiences just floating around ready to be ordered. Whatever Dani felt, saw, heard, said, Juliet would know. His power made him the dominate one in this link, he could blank her out and beat her down and she?d have no say in it. Obviously these images would fade over time, they?d only keep the receiver pretty? hurt and shocked until they faded. Dani knew, oh he definitely knew, that there was a way to keep them there permanently. You had to make them a part of the person. Just like Dani. They were part of him, but he was strong. He could survive living through all those horrible, grotesque thoughts, but they couldn?t. They rarely could. He pushed himself further into her mind where everything was; her personality, her memories, her soul. Once the door was opened Dani would win. Always. He tried to break further into her mind until it was too late. She, apparently, had extraordinary gifts as well. All Dani remembered before he fell back as a snake, an image of a large black snake launching for his face. It was enough to break his hold on Juliet and he stumbled back, wide eyed and shocked to the very edge of his cell, breathing heavily. A mental defence. No doubt a lot of the gifted guys had it? Juliet fell back and was forced to clutch onto the bars behind her in case she fell over. In reality the process didn?t take too long, as everyone, including Moses, were still there. Dani was aware he had done some damage, he was aware he had done a lot of damage to himself by awakening old, forgotten thoughts and he was even more aware of people watching him. He backed away even further to the edge of his cell and tried to breath deeply, struggling. He didn?t want to do this anymore. A reoccurring thought he always had; he didn?t want to do this. Nothing in particular? it was just he didn?t want to do anything. He wanted to go to sleep and never wake up. He lay himself on the floor and looked at Juliet, hoping and knowing she was probably in a worse state than he was. In time, in a short time, Dani knew he?d have completely control over his powers. He knew it wouldn?t hurt him. He wondered what everyone thought of him now. Not so tough? He didn?t care. He was going to die and he was going to take everyone with him some day. The corridor was suddenly walked down once more and a skinny, different, somewhat timid police officer came down, glancing at Moses suspiciously and giving Juliet a nod. She didn?t do anything back. ?Boss says you?re all out by tomorrow morning. We might call a few of you back when we get the whole story straight and sorted. You ain?t off the hook yet, kids.? The officer came to Dani?s cell, looking in. ?You the guy who spat in boss?s face, righ??? ?Fuck off.? ?Listen, you better start showing something called respect or you?ll be spendin? - ? Dani got to his feet and turned to the police officer, running at the bars and slamming into them. ?I said fuck off!? he shouted. The police man blinked several times, taken aback by the yelling. Dani backed away then, collapsing back on the ground. The police officer turned around, looking at everyone as if they were the oddest bunch in the world. Well, they were. He turned to ask Moses something. ?What?re you doing here??? Dani could hear a conversation now, someone in the cell had jumped to the defence of the lad, telling the police, perhaps, that he was here for a visit like Juliet. Maybe they noticed the keys. Whoever did it, they did it well. The police man backed off down the corridor, muttering under his breath. Dani couldn?t hear. Not even if they were all shouting down his ear. He looked up at Juliet who was still stood, looking at Dani, probably not knowing what to do or say. Dani shouldn?t have done it. Shouldn?t have done it. Now they?d all know that it hurts him, too, that it?s not without it?s jinx. At least he was satisified with himself. Juliet wouldn?t sleep after that, he was sure of it. He smirked at her, before turning over and closing his eyes. ----- OOC: Okay, I apologise if anyone thinks I?m overusing Dani?s powers or something, once everyone?s out, go wild with your powers. My next post we?re out of prison, so make your posts quick keys. Just something short so you can keep track of where you are will do. And yeah, typos all over in my post or something. Dani came to the bars again, glaring through the gap at Charles. He looked pretty damn full of himself. Dani wasn?t sure how smart Charles would be if they were in the same cell? then again, Charles looked like he wanted a fight. If Dani got his hands on him then, by all means, he?d give Charles a fight. ?Why don?t you come a little closer and say that, Charlie-boy?? Charles, not really completely angry, got up from his place on his bed and lent on the bars too, glaring back at Dani. ?What can I do fer ya, freak?? ?You can die. Or you can let me kill you. Either way, I don?t mind. Just I don?t think you?d be so smart arse if I were sat next to you. I?d show you things that?d make street murder seem like Bear in the Big Blue House.? Charles rolled his eyes. ?Seen it.? He said, referring to the street comment, not so much the Bear in the Big Blue House part. Dani, after hearing this, leaned forward quickly and tried to grab Charles. ?Whoa, freak on a leash.? Dani?s eyes darkened. For one, freak on a leash was a song by Korn, which he pretty much hated. For two, he was frustrated that the bars were in his way. Angrily, he coughed up blood and saliva for the second time in the night and spat at Charles, managing to get him in the face. There was a haunting laugh from Dani and growl of frustration and disgust from Charles. Dani stepped back in his cell, chuckling at Charles until his fun was stopped by the girl, staring at Dani sternly. Dani stopped laughing for a moment and turned to her, giving her a ?what?? look before she spoke up. ?So what was your place in this fight?? she asked him. Dani raised an eyebrow. ?What?s your name?? he asked, changing the subject for no odd reason other than he could. ?Juliet. That?s all you need to know.? Dani, as an inside joke, extended his hand. ?Nice to meet you. Don?t worry, I only spit at shit like Charles and pigs.? Dani said as small comfort that his hands were clean. Juliet shook it with a frown. ?A pleasure.? She said, somewhat sarcastically. ?What was your place in this?? ?He started it.? Dorian shouted. ?She asked me!? Dani snarled back. ?But yeah, he?s right. I started it. Giddy little fuckers over there ran right into me and pushed me onto Eden. Thought he could get away with it, so I thought I?d prove him wrong.? ?Right. You were defending yourself. But there was something strange about it. Something strange about the way you talked to that lad too, you can?t do anything? extraordinary, can you?? Dani?s eyes widened a little. She was started to get weary and careful about what she was saying. Standing up, Dani paced towards the bars again and lent into them. He thought for a moment about what he should say and do, how he should answer her? if he should at all. He wasn?t sure if that Moses kid would get the keys for him, maybe he needed someone else, just to make sure. ?Come over here and I?ll show you.? Dani whispered. Juliet walked towards the bars quite confidently and stood in front of Dani for a moment. Dani smirked, he stood up straight and looked back at her. Then, like lightning he reached forward through the bars for Juliet?s head. Unfortunately, she was expecting it. She caught his arm and twisted it, bringing little pain to Dani but enough to make him lift his head and draw in a sharp breath. He looked at her, eyes wide. ?I?m not stupid.? She said with a smirk. Dani narrowed his eyes at her. Damnit, why did they always have to be so clever? Well, really, Dani wasn?t exactly expecting to get a shot all the time. She didn?t look like she?d take shit from anyway. He glanced down the corridor for a moment and saw, to his disbelief, a figure that he found familiar. All thoughts of Juliet?s lucky catch were quickly pushed to the back of his mind and he grinned broadly at the sight he was gazing at. ?You may not be stupid but I know someone who is?? Dani laughed inside his head.
