Anime Cartoon Network Line-Ups...and anime on television announcements

It was around September 2001, IIRC. -
Anime Will they ever bring Gundam Wing back to Cartoon Network??
Cyber E. replied to a topic in Otaku Central
They don't have the rights to Gundam Wing anymore. They lost it quite some time ago. So no, it won't be back on Toonami nor Cartoon Network. -

Thats odd you got Futurama. If you set it at 1:30AM it should have gotten Lupin. Anyway, yes it has moved to 1AM. It'll be at that spot until Feb. 16th, when it moves back to 1:30AM. -

InuYasha will have reruns at 12:00AM until Feb. 16th when Witch Hunter Robin debuts and takes its place. After that it will still be airing reruns, only at the 12:30AM spot (Big O replaces Bebop, and Bebop replaces Lupin to finish weeknights off.) The next season of IY is going to be around 52 episodes and EXPECTED for summer. However, due to pattern the past two years, personally I would say August. But don't quote me on that. -
Pioneer/Geneon lost the rights to the first episodes of DBZ several months ago, so FUNimation has finally gotten the power to re-dub and re-release the episodes. They are going to put out new DVDs with the footage previously cut. It is also reported that CN will be airing a full run of DBZ in the near future, so they may air the newly FUNi-dubbed episodes too. When? Nobody knows.

News has just come in. WITCH HUNTER ROBIN has been confirmed to begin airing at 12:00 AM e.s.t. beginning February 16th, '04. EDIT: SVES-wise, KotZ is MIA while new episodes of TRANSFORMERS: ENERGON and CYBORG 009 will be premiering throughout the month. Toonami isn't getting much except a new anime called DUEL MASTERS, which can be considered a YU-GI-OH! ripoff to some. Its based off the card game/comic book from Wizards of the Coast and Dreamwave Productions. -

Its very sketchy on if InuYasha will return due to the mass amount of ratings it is getting from the wrong demograph, but its quite possible it will air new episodes in the future. -
Originally posted by shadowfire From what I've heard they lost the rights to not only those but ones like Pilot Candidate, Sailor Moon, Gundam 08th MS Team, Gundam 0080, and Gundam 0083. But that just may have been talk, don't know for sure like TM ond OS.
While I am not sure on Pilot Candidate nor Sailor Moon, its definite they have lost the rights to all of the Gundam series' except for G-Gundam and Superior Defender.
Originally posted by shadowfire Ok I knew Lupin was going to be coming back to AS and they'll be showing the 26 episodes they first shown, but will they be airing any new episodes?? They need to , all these months without any new ones must have given them time to dub some more.
Lupin was doing very bad in ratings mostly due to the times it was airing and the old animation putting off many of the younger viewers (while the demograph is ages 18-34, many shows such as Yu Yu Hakusho and InuYasha get teen and even children viewers) so it was taken off for a while. The odds of new episodes are better now that they have put it back on the air, but for now its just reruns. -

There is nothing much coming in for January and Febuary. Adult Swim is getting Lupin back. SVES will be premiering Transformers: Energon. Toonami will have YYH back in January, and new episodes starting in April and GT and Zoids: Fuzors will continue debuting episodes.
Originally posted by outlawstar69 From what I know, Tenchi isn't coming back. The license ran out. Same for GW. Cardcaptors (the dub) I heard was not very good at all. They cut episodes out completely, they didn't voice it well, and they actually changed elements of the storyline. I heard it was very good originaly though; that's on my list of animes to see.
They also lost the rights to Mobile Suit Gundam and Outlaw Star. -

A small anime on SVES note: Yu Yu Hakusho will be moving from its 12:30AM spot to 11:30PM, replacing Dragonball Z. Knights of the Zodiac will be moving to the 12:30AM spot. Its unclear if it will continue new episodes. This is a very recent change, so I am still trying to gather information. -
Ki energy wasn't measured anymore sometime after the Androids Saga, since no one had scouters or anything to get an exact number. Any 'results' after then are guesses or made up.

Since this thread is for all anime on TV, might as well post it here. Geneon has announced that the animè Heat Guy J will be airing on MTV either later this year or sometime 2004. The insanity can begin... ...now. -
Originally posted by magic_raditz Does anyone know exactly how many more of episodes of Rurouni Kenshin are going to be aired? Or if you at least know if it will last until december.
Its going to air two more episodes, and then begin back at the begining of the Kyoto Arc. Its going to be a while until new episodes air, since its going to be hard to fit most of the Son of God Arc into TV-Y7.
Originally posted by shadowfire Also, I MISS LUPIN 3. AS just deosn't see like AS with out Lupin. It's like it's missing some crucial part of it. They need to get more eps and bring it back.
I read an article that Lupin III did HORRIBLE in the ratings, and its likely we won't see much of it in the future. This may be due to it being on at 1:30 AM for the most part, but whatever.
Originally posted by Eternal Otaku ReallY? Cool! Now I can finnaly see past te first 7 episodes. Where did you find out?
Both Animation Insider and Toon Zone have confirmed it. Along with many relible sources. -

Well crap on a stick. Major update, GT will not be premiereing according to Animation Insider.
Legato has Vash's arm, but it wouldn't technically mean their blood would mix. The blood was likely drained from the limp and somehow attached to Legatos. Plus, DNA wouldn't mix because of a new limp. Also, only Knives and Vash can generate an Angel Arm because they were grown to have the power. Knives is just a mere human.
As best as I could explain it. Nice theory, but kinda flawed. :D -Cyber

You can't link from files directly on your computer to message boards. You have to get the image hosted. A good free site I know of is www.iownjoo.com . It's pretty good. Also, if you have something to add, just click the "Edit" button on your post instead of making another post. People frown upon it since it's a way some people get their post counts up. :D
Originally posted by shadowfire I saw a promo on Toonami for a new anime called IGPX: Immortal Grand Prix. I've never heard of it, is it any good ???
Nobody knows. It's a new series created by Toonami for this years TIE (Toonami/Total Immension Event). It's basically four or five 5-minutes parts that air Monday-Friday begining in September. -Cyber -

FLCL is getting replaced after it's second run with InuYasha. Trigun & Blue Gender will continue airing where they are. -Cyber -
I posted this awhile ago, but I guess the topic went down. Dark Horse comics has the rights to the Trigun manga. They'll begin to release them in Graphic Novel version begining later this year. There is no word on when and/or if Maximum will be licensed by Dark Horse, but it's very likely. Off-Topic Fact: Along with Trigun, Dark Horse announced it's releasing the Hellsing manga also. -Cyber

CN doesn't "kill" animè. They have to edit the shows so that everyone can enjoy them. If they were allowed to, there wouldn't be any edits AT ALL. They are trying to make everyone happy, and in doing that it angers some other people too. I enjoy the stuff they put out. If I don't like it, I won't watch. That's just me. @_@ -Cyber
