1. FUNimation is doing the edits for GT, not Cartoon Network. So from what we've seen from edits they've made, GT will get several edits, but nothing really serious. They've showed Gokou's rear on Cartoon Network in some episodes of DB. FUNimation hasn't completed dubbing GT yet, so they are going to air the episodes on Fridays to keep new stuff coming, but at a slow pace. I'd expect they air around 16 episodes (Which'll last awhile) and then deliver the rest for next September. Possibly leaving a few for "Final Episodes". They also have to air the first 15 episodes, so it's hard to predict what their plans are. But, again, that's simply what I think. -Cyber
  2.
Originally posted by JCBaggee 'bout time they started airing those DBZ movies. They've only been out for years...though I don't understand why they're skipping Movie 4 and going straight to 5...
Well, the Kooler movies fit in right where the series is during September. Same with the Trunks and Bardock specials. Plus, the dub for Movie 4 is simply God-Awful.
Originally posted by JCBaggee Plus, a Friday's only schedule is a first for a Dragon Ball series on Toonami, so maybe they're trying to drag it out more and/or don't expect it to do so well.....?
I'd say they are dragging it out. CN likely thought that the reruns of DBZ would be able to last people until GT was coming in Sept 04, but after they found out people don't care for a third run of episodes, they had to make some drastic changes. I don't believe FUNi has gotten very far in the dubbing, so showing it once a week is wise. That's just my personal opinion, of course. -Cyber
  3. SD Gundam Force, aka 'Superior Defender', has been announced to air on Cartoon Network's afternoon Toonami block begining September 1st at 5:00 p.m. EST. It will be airing Monday through Friday running new episodes through all of September. Comments? -Cyber
  4. UPDATE: At Otakon 2003, FUNimation announced GT will be airing with Episode 15, the same first episode on the GT DVDs. Why this is happening, I don't know.
Originally posted by Marron347 Anyway, I used to want to see DBGT, but someone told me that Akira Toriyama had almost nothing to do with the making of that series. Is that true? And if so, is the show even any good?
He was only involved with designs for the characters. Toriyama ended his story with the last episode/issue of the show/manga, but the demend in Japan caused Toei to make a new series. It goes 50/50 with the fans, given it's pretty different than DB/Z. -Cyber
  5. The grids until October 3rd have been put up and it looks as if Kenshin is staying on SVES (Saturday Video Entertainment System) and 9:30 p.m. EST. It's moving to 11:00 p.m. EST sometime in September. -Cyber
  6. Just so you know, almost never trust TVTome. Each section for a show is run by different people who are wrong very often. It's been known since July that no new YYH were coming in August, so whoever said this was either guessing or going on a bad source. -Cyber
  7.
Originally posted by Gohan Egret I think you meant Thursday? Unless it was copied and pasted...then it is a website error.
Argh. Nope, I got the date wrong. They are airing on Friday, October 3rd as Inflight Movies. :D -Cyber
  8. Well, the schedules for September and EARLY October are in, so I figured I'd post them. DRAGON BALL New episodes premiere on Monday, September 1st at 6:30p.m. EST. DRAGON BALL Z Running into Garlic Jr./Trunks/Android sagas. Episodes that haven't been aired in a few years. DRAGON BALL GT Premieres on Friday, October 3rd at 6:30p.m. EST. Almost a year before previously stated. This is Fridays ONLY, folks. OTHER Begining Friday, September 5th @ 6:00 p.m. EST for four straight weeks we're getting four never-been-on-TV DBZ movies: 9/05: DBZ - Bardock: The Father of Goku 9/12: DBZ - History of Trunks 9/19: DBZ - Cooler's Revenge 9/26: DBZ - Return of Cooler This is all confirmed and true. Of course, schedules are tentive to change. -Cyber [EDIT: Just caught I mistook "September 5th" for "October 2nd". Sue me. @_@]
  9. Hey everyone, here are some updates. BTW, just to note, YYH isn't starting new episodes on August 15th. Wherever you heard that is lying. InuYasha - Running new episodes until Episode #52 which airs on September 18th. It will restart with episode #37. Big O II - Will continue new episodes until Episode #18 on August 31st. It will be replaced by Futurama for a few weeks and will return on September 7th where it left off. Blue Gender - Will complete it's first full run on Sept 16th. It'll begin it's second run the next day. Rurouni Kenshin - Moves to 11:00PM est on SVES on Sept 6th. Still continuing in the Kyoto Arc. Knights of the Zodiac - Will be airing episodes all through Sept and into Oct with no interuption. SD Gundam Force (AKA Superior Defender) - Will begin airing on Toonami on Sept 1st at 5:00PM est. Dragon Ball - Will continue where it left off with new episodes in September. DBZ MOVIES - Here are the dates for the DBZ movies airing in September. These are airing Fridays at 6:00PM est. 9/05: DBZ - Bardock: The Father of Goku 9/12: DBZ - History of Trunks 9/19: DBZ - Cooler's Revenge 9/26: DBZ - Return of Cooler Dragon Ball GT - It will begin airing October 5th on Toonami. If I get anymore info, I'll post it. -Cyber
  10. Please, rest asure, InuYasha is coming back on August 25th with brand new episodes on Adult Swim. They had not dubbed that many episodes to continue airing new episodes, so they took (the smart) move and waited a while for Viz to dub more. -Cyber
  11.
Originally posted by shadowfire Also any one know when CN will start airing Saint Seiya.?
August 30th at 7PM e.s.t. on SVES
Originally posted by shadowfire and as for the ending credits remember they showed a little nudity in Lupin 3 so you never know
Yes, but that was nipple-less nudity. They won't ever allow nipple nudity on CN. At least not for a few years. -Cyber
  12. .hack//SIGN is an excellent anime, because it doesn't rely on massive fights and light shows, but a good storyline with well-worked characters. The music is one of the reasons this show is good, because it fits the mood of the scene. -Cyber
  13. It'z Zero, but it's going to be Chaotic Century starting August 4th. -Cyber
  14. Blue Gender's editing can be explained in one word: Butchered. There are scenes of graphic violence and sexual intercourse, some of which is going to be hard for WS to edit around. And since there is no way that Cartoon Network will air a TV-MA show, it's going to be pished down to a heavy TV-PG. -Cyber
  15. Naruto is one of the biggest animes that every company is trying to grab because it would be a goldmine. Since it hasn't been licensed yet, there is no way to guess how long it'll take for it to come over here. -Cyber
  16. I haven't been reading my Shonen Jump lately so I don't know what exactly is going to be edited, but this show is aimed for an older teen audience (From what I've heard) and the 4Kids dub alone is going to be edited to an extreme. The show wouldn't even been safe on Toonami, it'd still have to make the TV-Y7 rating. -Cyber
  17.
Originally posted by OtakuSennen And FLCL.. I don't even know what that stands for. Sorry, Black_Phoenix, can't help ya there. :(
Fooly Cooly. Furi Kuri. There are a whole buncha names for it.
Originally posted by Tical Blue Gender is on August 4th. I dont know bout FLCL
Same day.
Originally posted by the spiegal WOW! I was really mad when they canceled kenshin on toonami because i think it was near the end. By the way, what part is it at? I really hope i didnt miss anything good :worried:
It's still airing every Saturday night at 9:30pm.
Originally posted by Tical You missed Saito kill the blind guy (boring battle) and the beginnig of Kenshins surprise battle with Aoshi (not all that so far)
It was one of the greatest fights in the entire series. It was just edited badly (I.E. The blind fighter was held up to the wall by a sword, CN wasn't allowed to show it, so he was just stuck up there without any explaination)
  18. Yes, it would, but Vegeta was never proclaimed the King of Saiyans. He was never.."promoted" to that level of authority. He is still the Prince and that'll probably never change. -Cyber
  19. The fact that DaBlackGoku is still up proves that the online DBZ community is truly, the worst in anime. -Cyber
  20.
Originally posted by dbzanimegrl17 Thanks. I thought they were canceling. I guess they're just gonna stop showing new episodes then, huh?
They only made 26-episodes of .hack//SIGN in Japan. And they are going to air all the episodes on SVES (12:00PM EST). Probably followed by another full run. -Cyber

    Trigun
1.Where does Vash get his Angel Arm from? Who Built it?

It is most likely part of Vash. I.E. He was created with the arm already built in. But nobody know's for sure.

2.Why hasn't anyone considered a Trigun Light-Gun Game?
?
3.Where exactly does Knives live at?
I'd guess some lair place.
4.
It's all a matter of opinion. It's obviously hinted at it, but it's never stated for sure.
5.
We all do. -Cyber
  22. The final episode in the Frieza Saga airs on the last day of August, so I wouldn't be shocked if it were taken off in September. It would be the only logical reason for starting at a different point than normal. -Cyber
  23. Rurouni Kenshin is going to be translated, but only in GN. There isn't any word on if it is going to Jump anytime soon. -Cyber
  24. There are two mangas, Trigun and Trigun Maximum, neither of which follow the Anime (Or vica-versa) that much, but it's still the same premise. Gun ended, but Maximum is still running in Japan. Dark Horse got the rights to the first series, 'Trigun', but that was alittle while ago, so it's going to be awhile until it comes out. They haven't announced anything about Maximum, though. -Cyber
  25.
Originally posted by MillieFan When are FLCL and Blue Gender coming to CN? It was a few pages back and I forgot the time. What shows are they replacing?
Both premiering on August 4th at 12 (FLCL) and 12:30 (Blue Gender) and are replacing Big O and Kikaider. Big O will still be airing on Sundays with new episodes continuing into September.
Originally posted by Youko Minamino There's a huge difference between 4Kids FOxBox, and 4Kids Kids WB. FoxBox is more uncut, and way better. I suggest you guys look at it, and notice the huge difference.
No, there actually is no difference between 4Kids FoxBox and 4Kids Kids' WB!, because they are the same company. They don't make a show lighter because of what channel it airs, they either make it uncut or edited. Later, the show will be edited by the BS&P or network or something to fit the channel.
Originally posted by shadowfire If my sources are correcte DBZ is starting back to somewhere in the frieza saga and July 17th, Rurouni Kenshin returns to Toonami. It's about time they return RK, but why is DBZ started with frieza. Before they finished Buu Saga they re-aired it all but stopped at the Garlic Jr eps but then re-aired those on Fridays and stopped them at about when Trunks shows up. Why don't they restart it from there ??.
Your 'source' is correct about DBZ, but this news has been about for a few months now. However, Kenshin is, and let me repeat this, NOT returning to Toonami anytime in this or next month. The earlist we'll see it again is September, but we'll have to wait for the grids to come in to see. -Cyber
