Um, I don't want to sound like a mod., but this is like the third FLCL thread in this forum. So, I'm pretty sure this one should be closed, or merged with the main one. If you want answers about the show, maybe you should check out the main FLCL thread. There's alot of info on it.:D

Hmm, favorite character in anime, let me think. I like so many, its hard to narrow it down to just one. Favorite Character: Hajime Saito Show: Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X Why: Saito is my favorite because he's so calm, cool, and collective. I like how he continued to follow the code of the Shinsengumi, even after the Meiji Restoration and becoming a police officer. Plus there's fact that he was an actual historical figure, who's life was shrouded in mystery.:D Oh, and his Gatoutsu attacks are pretty cool. What he does: Agent for the Meiji Government.

Ha, Its really not a big deal, that is until the looters come out, and the riots start.. I actually find it kind of ironic. Most of the people over in Iraq have been complaining because they have been stuck without power pretty much ever since the war broke out. Now its New York and all these other big cities who are complaining about not having any power. Am I the only one who notices this irony?

Frankly I don't really care if it was real or not. Sure it may have been the biggest, most exspensive hoax ever done, and we could all have been lied to. Or it could have actually happened, and we just never went back there for some reason. I personally believe people should worry more about the problems we have on earth, instead of focusing so much on space. But thats just my opinion.:D
Originally posted by Monkey_Orange My question is: what's up with the irons, ironing out the wrinkles? Are there other irons at other places?;)
Well from what I learned from the last episode, I think those iron things were
devices planted through out the universe by Medical Machanica. I believe MM planned to use these irons to whipe out all free thought in the universe, so that they could take control.
At least thats what I think they are. The entire premise of the series is very cryptic.:D

Last nights episode was one of the best so far. I really liked how they managed to spoof South Park, Lupin, and all those old Hong Kong gun fight movies, all in one episode. The fight between Haraku and the eyebrow guy, in the salon, was both cool and funny at the same time. Plus, I thought the showdown with the giant trench coat, alien hand thingy was pretty awsome. Too bad there's only one episode left.:(

From what I heard of them, I think they're pretty good. I really like that "Jenny Says" song, even though it is a couple of years old. Does anyone know what state they came from? I heard somewhere that they were from around NC, does any one know if that's true or not?:therock:

I have to say the one of the funniest web comics on the web is 8-bit Theater. I'm a big fan of the FF series, so I guess it would be natural for me to also like this funny spoof. Plus it already has +300 episodes and is still going strong.:D

Hmm, bad habits, where to begin. I guess the worse ones are me talking to myself to the point it becomes annoying to others. I also bite my nails, and eat way too many salty foods. Hopefully in the near future, I can cut down on the habits.:D

Um yeah you can get a subscription to new type. All you have to do is buy an issue and fill out one of the many subscription cards thats inside. Either that or subscribe at their website. There I think that answers your question. Thats about all one can say on the matter, thus I'm pretty sure this thread will be closed. :D

Actually Sara, the plot doesn't really begin to surface until later in the series. So, you can't base everything on the first few episodes. Just thought I'd throw that in there.:D

I don't think I'd take anyone's place in the anime universe. They all have some big problems to deal with, whether it be girl troubles, the destruction of the universe, or alien invasions. After taking these observations under account, I deffinately don't want to be in any of their shoes.

ME!!!! I'm a great person to hang out with. I'm smart, funny, and once you get to know me, I'm a pretty likeable guy. At least I think I am.:therock: But then again, I am usually wrong about these sort of things. Plus I'm pretty sure this will be a disqualified vote, but oh well. I just can't pass up an opportunity to toot my own horn.:D :Edit:Actually I can.

Hey theres nothing wrong with Excel Saga, its supposed to be crazy, just as Excel is supposed to be annoying. She's supposed to represent all of those bubbly, hyperactive girls, found in so many anime titles. But she deffinately takes those annoying qualities, to the EXTREME!!! I own the entire series on DVD, and am a big fan. My advice to you is to give it another chance, it'll be a shame to miss such a great anime series. But thats just my opinion.:D

Well I think its pretty good. The only real problem I see is the right hand thats held up to his face. I just think it looks odd, but it could just be me.:D Looking forward to the colored version.

I've seen the first episode of the anime, and have been reading the manga in Newtype Magazine. I think the whole premise of the anime/manga is pretty interesting, and kind of funny. I also think the anime has some very good animation, and cool mecha designs.:D

I've seen the first episode, and have to say its pretty good. Its got good character design, and a somewhat interesting story. I really like the way Jing's bird fuses to his arm and forms that gun thingy. :D

Strange Dreams...hmm...let me see. Ok, I remeber having this one a long, long time ago, when I was about 4 or 5. Well it started out with me and a friend, though I can't remember who he was, standing in the middle of a city. People were all running away from something big that was coming, so we followed. We ran onto a big bridge, one like the George Washington bridge, with the thing right on our tails. Then just as we got to the end of the bridge, me and my friend stopped and took out a pack of playing cards. We then hurried in trying to play a quick game of go fish, as the monsters footsteps shook the ground beneath us. Just then, as we were trying to play, the creature came upon us, and it was none other than King Kong himself. Thats pretty much all I remember. I still don't understand why we stopped to play cards while being chased by a giant monkey. But dreams are sometimes funny that way.:D

Well I've seen most of the falsh movies you posted already, on Newgrounds. They have alot of cool movies and parodies. The best ones I've seen so far are the ones made by Legendary Frog. I'm also a big fan on Ninjai, but I never got to see the final episode. I checked the official site, but they'd stop showing the films for some reason. Oh and if you liked Rise of the Mushroom kingdom check out Video Game Director's Cuts. They've made many video game inspired movies, the most notable one being Mario Vs Sonic.:D

For it to be your first, its pretty good. My banners always seemed to be all blurry, or pixely. But yours are clean and crisp. All you need to do to make it better is add a better, more lively, background, and maybe change the font.:D As for you edited one, I can't see it. So I don't know if its better or not.

Actually episode 4 was the less crazy than the preceding episodes, probably because it focused on trying to establish the story. When Takun met with that guy with the big eyebrows, he learned
that Haraku was a wanted felon, or something like that. And that she uses certain people's heads, like Takun's, as transportation devices, to transport things from different areas in the universe.
At least thats what I think he was trying to explain to Takun. But then again, can you trust a guy who glues oversized eyebrows to his face?:therock:

I noticed that Gundam model thing too. I guess that the animators wanted to pay homage to some of their favorite animes. As for the Kenny doll, I didn't see it. Man, I should've started taping the series. :D

The Terminator/Politician (Arnold runs for Governor)
WW2 replied to OtakuSennen's topic in General Discussion
Hey I also heard that Larry Flynt, of Hustler fame, is also running for governor. But he's just one of the many people who desire to be elected. I think there's around 30 people who are also running for the same position as governor of California. Basically anyone who can raise a couple of thousand dollars can run. I think its all getting out of hand. -
The Terminator/Politician (Arnold runs for Governor)

I don't think he will be able to balance both jobs. This makes me angry because if he does get the job, then there won't be anymore Ah Nuld movies for a while. Well he is getting pretty old, so maybe him switching to politics or something else isn't such a bad idea. I personally don't like this whole "recall election" thing. I mean the people re elected the guy, so they must deal with him. Geez, people take responsibility for your actions. -
Anime Damn you 4Kiisamas!!!! What have you done?!
WW2 replied to Youko Minamino's topic in Otaku Central
You're right the Shaman King dub is all messed up. I always figured Yoh to be sorta mellow, but they gave him one of those stupid kiddy voices. Amidamaru also sounds pretty horrible. He sounds more like an english man than a Samurai. But oh well, theres nothing we can do about it. :D
