Hmm... I heard that Legato is now being carried around by this woman whom he supposedly controls. Legato's bearer or something? And how far into the story is the manga right now at Trigun Maximum 8? How many GHG are still left?

Has seeing and experiencing things that you claim are worse than this incident dulled your senses against violence? These things happen as people adapt to things quickly. However, feeling contempt for those who suffered only because you have suffered more is inhumane. Perhaps your senses regarding violence is dulled.

If its a straight blow with the palm, then yeah, it can hurt... especially if whoever does that knows martial arts and to channel some strength there. Street Fights are rather simple cuz usually, they just get heated over some 'yo mama is so fat....' stuff and they just get pist and start throwing punches, then one guy takes out a knife... and basically, its just a mob. Mobs suck at fighting. Knives has an incredibly short range(unless thrown), and all you need to do is have a stick(any will do...), and make sure u knock the knife down or just smack them in the face before they charge u... Slapping... hmm... I saw a cat fight once... and even they were actually punching and kicking and throwing each other to the ground and so forth... As for my grade, we plan to form a temporary coalition with the Juniors and Seniors and terrorize the freshmen and also throw up some No Exit signs on the hated teacher's offices, and maybe let loose some wild animals in the school :) Will we be caught? Probably. All of us? Nope :devil:

People need to learn martial arts more... but then again... I do recall seeing some Black Belt kid scratching his opponent once in a fight... I guess people panic and lose everything when it comes to an actual fight... And besides... people just go out and get a gun when they want to defend themselves these days... I personally scorn and contempt people who lean on their guns, but nevertheless... anyone, and I mean anyone can kill with a gun... Just point and shoot. I got like a 99% on PSATS last I took them for Math/Vocab, and a 90% or something on writing... I hate them!!!! So far I've had to deal with PSAT, ERB, SAT II, ISEE, and some other stuff I don't remember -_- I don't know why the college base their decisions on such stupid tests.

That isn't the first time... the first time was when Naoko strangled her in her child hood(cute chibi-rei)... When she tried to put the mine into the angel, she didn't die... she died against Armisael, which came a bit later.

Of course he did... [spoiler]He was formerly a man named Onigumo, and he was unable to move due to his horrible burns over his body. Kikyo nursed him, and Onigumo fell in love. However, this could not happen becuz Kikyo loved Inuyasha, and Onigumo was... well... an invalid. Onigumo developed incredible hatred, and countless numbers of demons were attracted to him. They feasted upon Onigumo, and the hundreds of demons were merged together by the hatred, and thus formed Naraku. Naraku then proceeded to tear apart Kikyo and Inuyasha by shape shifting and attacking both. Kikyo finds out about this later when shes reincarnated... shes not too happy... decides to send Naraku down down down... and what better way than using the Shikkon Jewel?[/spoiler]

Hmm.. I know everyone said they wouldn't fear one or would like them with a new trait, but imagine an evil mutant. They are still human beings, but they are gifted with extremely destructive powers. I would be friendly with mutants that are non-evil, but one must acknowledge the potential of destruction that mutant can do if he/she happened to be evil. I personally hope there aren't and won't be any mutants...

Americans sue too much... and its surprising that some weird cases which are so obviously stupid win... I recall of one in which a thief tried to burgle a house, fell off the veranda or something, and then admitted the crime and sued the architect(or home owners me forget) for injuries and that the house was not built safely. And to make it worse, he actually won. Sad isn't it?

Hmm... if I was given the choice to join up with other super-power wielding people... I would say... "nahhh" Running around, saving people, helping the damsel in distress, w/e doesn't suit me at all. I would probably be off in the countryside, forcing the weather to rain if I feel gloomy, sunshine when I feel happy, and stuff like that. Maybe if I feel evil, create a drought for a couple of months :devil: but definitely not join up. I'd rather be left alone.

Awards and what not really do not matter. Some people getting all-sorts of awards and certificates without working, is gonna be screwed over in college(or life). You really do not know how their life will turn out, and doing good in school does not equal succeeding in life. I'd rather be screwed over in school and succeed in life rather than vice versa. School composes only 13 ~ 17 years of your life(even though I admit they are probably the most important). Life lasts far longer. And if those people who got the awards did not work for it, chances are, they will not work for the other things, and will fail in it. Anyway, its their life. If you did your best, there really isn't anything you can complain. Perhaps they worked harder. Just ask yourself if you truly tried your best and if the answer is 'yes', then be proud. Not many people can say that. And besides, its not you. Worry about yourself. Let the present day victors celebrate. Work diligently, and overthrow them tomorrow. Rather than complaining, push yourself to the limit, reach for the skies, and if you failed today, succeed tomorrow.

They BETTER not butcher it... both One Piece and Gundam Seed are GREAT series... Shaman King is also very good, I'm not sure about the last one cuz I haven't seen it. Do you happen to know when its coming out?

Legato probably was looking forward to his death because [spoiler]he is the servant of Knives, and Knives wanted Vash to suffer for shooting him. The best revenge? To make Vash committ the exact thing he most detests, which is to kill. And to do this, he sacrificed himself, and due to his loyalty to Knives, he probably was definitely looking forward to it.[/spoiler] And I think Asuka did die... [spoiler]The Lance of Longinus seems to have the exact same effect on the pilot as for the Eva. When the Eva had its head impaled with the first lance, she was bleeding. And while she was raising her arm towards the heavens("I'll kill you, I'll kill you"), it was HER hands that was split in half, not the evas. And all those lances(9) impaling it? I am sure she died.[/spoiler]

I saw one matching Evangelion and Mortal Kombat... it was.... disturbing, but also very interesting. I thought it was ironic about pairing them together since many of those things in Evangelion are immortal while the song goes 'mortal combat...' but I think it was pretty good :)

Doesn't Kikyo have ulterior motives for giving the chunk of jewel to Naraku? I think I read somewhere that Kikyo gives the jewel to Naraku because [spoiler]she can send him to hell once he collects all the jewel shards[/spoiler]

Hmm... I think that Legato being loyal to Knives from before is possible w/ or w/o the arm and everything, but if Legato actually fought Knives before, I am pretty sure Knives would have killed him... he certainly didn't care about crippling poor Legato in the manga...

I would assume Shinji was weakened over the long period of time spent in the angel, but I guess the mother's paternal instincts residing in Eva 01 because of Yui's soul projected a powerful enough AT field to defeat the angel from within.

Gendo and Yui Ikari from Evangelion. I sometimes hate the man and he freaks me out, but I still give him credit for the willingness of how far he plans to carry out his plans so that he can be together with Yui again.
