I think he could be considered a "conditional" weepy uke, because in certain pairings he does fit the criteria for being a weepy uke (Muraki and Tatsumi make him look very ukeish, while Hisoka and Watari do not, IMHO) So discuss. Do you think Tsuzuki is a weepy uke across the board, just with certain people, or do you think he's a strong character with flaws but not to the level of "weepy crying miserable uke?" I've even added a poll, because I want to see what you think (but I'd like to see actual discussion, not just hit and run posting or poll votes), and I apologize for any errors, but my glasses are missing, and all of this small type looks blurry to me. :D

I seriously wonder if CN will ever pick up the rights to Gravitation and air it on Adult Swim? I honestly do not think they would have the fortitude to do that, unless by the magic of idiotic editing ala the turning of "Tokyo Mew Mew" into "Hollywood Mew Mew," Shuichi is transformed into a woman, LOL, in which case I would be more than a little annoyed. . . Nevertheless, if they would somehow air it with only the edits needed to put it on American TV (i.e. language or nudity edits) and leave the plot, characters, and the Yuki/Shuichi relationship intact, it would be [i]very[/i] interesting to see a shounen ai anime actually make it to TV in the states. I *definitely* agree with you about not liking VashxMeryl though. I honestly think the best pairing is AU (i.e. Rem [spoiler] survives[/spoiler]) RemxVash (of course I am too biased though, since I'm writing it.) However, sticking with canon universe, I say the best pairing would be VashxMilly. I mean, Milly is seriously more like Rem than Meryl ever was, at least outside of episode 25, and Wolfwood [spoiler]died[/spoiler], so Milly would be alone. . .possibly carrying Wolfwood's child. . .and if nothing else, Vash would at least feel responsibility and pity for her and most likely stay with her. Also, Milly, while she did hit Vash once, seems to be generally more interested in protecting him and Meryl both. Oddly enough, with Trigun ending the way it did, I think the most plausible relationships, in keeping with anime canon, would be as follows: An odd love triangle where Milly and Vash are in some sort of a relationship, and where Meryl is wanting Vash, Milly, or both but is unable to express her feelings. If Knives wasn't completely gay and is alive, the other possibility would be that Meryl and Knives and Vash and Milly pair off.

Knives/Vash? Yeeew. I *don't* think so. They're brothers and like I said, I think anime Vash is definitely heterosexual, and manga Vash may be more asexual as a Plant. Maybe one-sided by Knives, but as a friend of a very good friend of mine once said, such a pairing would make Vash rethink his opinions of suicide. ;) And LOL, that's the *second* most popular yaoi pairing at fanfiction.net. Yeah. . .I see IC or implied canon K/L as abuse on Knives's part and unrequited or uncompleted (depending on how you prefer to think of it) longings from Legato. However, on a slight alteration of the universe, if the writer's good enough, Knives falling in love with Legato because they *are* all each other has is kind of plausible. (note "kind of.") As for Wolfwood/Midvalley (or even the most rare bird in fanfiction pairings since it wasn't implied in either anime or manga despite being quite possible, Legato/Wolfwood), I happen to like these pairings. However, the one thing I find so annoying about their writers is that they usually outright dismiss WolfwoodxMilly as impossible. ^sigh^ I'd like to see a shounen ai and het writer who was open-minded enough to the possibility that Wolfwood could be equally interested in Milly as he was in Midvalley or Legato. Where's a mod when you need one? :p OK, now on to something that requires a little more thought: Who, exactly, are the shounen ai/yaoi couples in Trigun, if any? I personally support Knives/Legato and Legato/Midvalley for animeverse and Knives/Legato and Wolfwood/Midvalley for mangaverse. I think there's much evidence for K/L and L/M in the anime, because the way Legato refers to Knives and behaves around him is very conducive to implications of some subtext there, and Midvalley wears that pink shirt and is always hanging on Legato like he's some groupie or something. In the manga (at least the translations at "Make A Little Lightbulb In Your Soul"), I think it's implied fairly well that Wolfwood and Midvalley were together in the past but split up. I'm still a definite partisan of Wolfwood/Milly in both anime and manga, because it's such a good pairing, and there's nothing saying Wolfwood couldn't be bisexual rather than pure yaoi. The pairing I absolutely can't understand is Wolfwood/Vash. Maybe in the manga it's different, but in the anime, they're obviously just friends (aside from that fanservice scene in episode 20 where they landed on each other in that really odd way. . .), and Vash is IMHO heterosexual-all the times he acts perverted when sober, it's with women. Even if Wolfwood *was* gay or bi, a shounen ai/yaoi relationship (unless it's NCS) requires that *both* sides be interested in it. Hence, you heard right-I personally think the most popular Trigun pairing, at least on fanfiction.net, is utterly groundless and OOC. :) So? What does everyone else think? Any Wolf/Vash fans out there who think you can prove it? Any other K/L or L/M fans who want to actually come out and admit they like a pairing that is generally ignored by the masses?

You know, QA, this is like the immortal thread of otakuboards. It started way back in June or something. . .and it's been posted to ever since. I've posted to it as anti-shounen ai/yaoi and as pro shounen ai/yaoi. It's been spammed, argued over, threatened with closure-and yet it still remains. . . ^sigh^ I really see "no point" (pardon the play on words) to this whole debate. Either you like it or you don't. I think that Wolfwood represents the general theme of the anime, that of reconciliation and forgiveness-as well as being a paradoxical and therefore very deep character. He does all these terrible, confused things that are the exact antithesis of *what* he *should* be and do as a "priest,"-yet he finally, slowly realizes through both his internal conflicts and what is going on around him the truth about what he has done wrong and is doing wrong. I personally *don't* agree with the simple analysis here, that Nightow was simply mocking priests. It really doesn't fit with other things and the character's too deep for that. IMHO, Wolfwood reminds me A LOT of Spike from Cowboy Bebop: at first, he appears to be a complete paradox and a total lout, but as the story goes on, you see fragments of good in the character, and in the end, he finally realizes how wrong he is-[spoiler]albeit much too late either way, Spike after he chose to kill and is dying, Wolfwood after he chose not to kill and is yet dying.[/spoiler] Molleta, you made a GREAT point. First of all, in Christian theology, Adam and Eve were separate creations and not related except that God symbolically made Eve from a bone of Adam. Also, in Christian theology, Adam, Eve, and the serpent ALL [i]share[/i] guilt for the fall of man.
