1. If you're going to pose a hypothetical such as this, you need to place some restraints. Are you talking about murdering someone, or ransacking someone's car? Are you talking about beating an old lady up, or shop-lifting? All of these go against my moral codes, but I'd be willing to break some of these for money. When it comes down to it, I think that, depending upon the request, most, if not all people would choose to take the money. This is just my perception, but people can often make excuses for what they'd do for money. I know I could. And probably would. So what? It's a hypothetical, and I can protect myself on the basis that it all depends on the situation.
2.
I mean, a friend of mine: skater girl without a skateboard. But she doesn't ACT like a skatergirl.
So, if she doesn't actually skate, and doesn't 'act' how a skatergirl stereotype is supposed to act, then what is it that makes her a skatergirl? You're not making sense, lol. As for stereotypes, particularly those of goths...meh. Sometimes America[nism] just blows me away. The sheer folly of thought exhibited by many American teenagers is worrying. America tends to exhibit some of the more extreme tendencies of the human race, and I think these stereotypes are a perfect example. In the race to push everyone into an easily understandable box [otherwise a useful tool in society] American teenagers have transformed themselves into mindless drones, acting out their alleged 'roles' in how they fit into their 'unique' teen sub-culture. Amusingly enough, this doesn't apply to every single American teen, but is the common stereotypical image of them. The irony!
3. I like the name "Nerve Release"... But, hey, it's your choice. It kind of fits the tenets of naming associated with punk/rock, and sounds pretty damn cool. If I do say so myself.
4. I can see what you both mean in terms of the doubtful nature of how underrated he may be. It has always felt to me that although he is widely known and stuff like that, his music is underrated or something, lol. I don't know exactly why I have that impression, it just...is. Maybe it's a personal thing, who knows, heh. When it comes to writing down my 10 Favourite Bands, or something along those lines, or when I think of what I want to listen to, although I enjoy his music, I never seem to think of it. If anything, that is what I mean by underrated. As I said though, maybe it's just me :p
5. I only have one artist who I feel is underrated: Robbie Williams. He has so many great songs, has released tons of albums, and his music can appeal to so many people, but you hardly ever hear about him. If you don't know and love at least Robbie Williams song, go and hang yourself, save the gene-pool, lol. He is an amazing artist, and I think he is genuinely underrated by the vast majority of people. But, thats just the impression I get.

I think it looks quite nice myself...but I'm not an X-Boxer, and I have no interest in getting one. As I said, I thought this would interest the gamers here, and I didn't see it put up anywhere else. I enjoy console-gaming, but only to an extent, and I've always been a Sony boy, lol. The X-Box's controls just don't do it for me.
7. Chances are that it would have driven all the peasants crazy. Only a Prophet has the fortitude to hear God. ... >_> Edit I've always wondered what exactly it is that makes Christianity the one true religion, and automatically invalidates every other religion from the Greek Pantheon down to the Nyoongar aboriginals Woggle?

11. This argument has come up so often, and we continuously see people intelligently put forth arguments validating the possibility that religon and science are not necessarily mutually exclusive. Does this tell you something? The idea of God [although not necessarily in a Christian God type of capacity] being some scientific super-wonder is appealing, and possibly the most sensible way to look at things.
12. I believe that it used to be 'law' for a member who had recently changed their name to keep that note in their signature for a few weeks, at the least. I don't know what hapened to that...it seems to me that it kind of fell in the cracks somewhere. But yeah, I think it used to be a rule, and I think it could do with re-definition.
13. I would like to be taller and have...a larger chest. I'm a guy, not a girl, so by that I mean more of a barrel chest. I work out regularly, and my muscle tone is coming along nicely, but I don't have that really strong look that some people naturally have, without having to work for it. Also, my hair does annoy me sometimes [it depends on the day as to whether I'm happy with it or not], and I wish my chin was maybe another centimeter forward. Just jutting my chin forward ever so slightly completely changes the appearance of my face, for the better. Overall, I'm reasonably satisfied with my appearance. I take care of my self, and feel relatively at ease with my body. I think thats what is important.
14. Do you really think that there is an issue with people avoiding what they genuinely like, in order to appear to be more like 'their' race? I really hope that this isn't what you are saying. Because if it is, I think you need to take a look around. And examine the term stereotype. It applies to a model of a person distinguished through certain attributes...in this case race. Just because many black people like rap [or are stereotyped as such] doesn't mean that they are restricted in any way from liking other music, or that other people are restricted from liking rap. Or does it?
15. I haven't heard of these, and once more it seems to be an all-American thing. Why? What is it that blinds people from common-sense? I don't have any little anecdotes to tell, and what is there to say but how much this disgusts me? Sometimes bureacracy is ridiculous and seriously needs a competent review.
16. The feeling of fulfilment and achievement you get when you finally break that milestone is awesome. It makes you feel all warm and cosy inside, and the idea is really cool. I loved it. But at the same time, OBV7 strives for quality rather than quantity...and having any indication other than the practical new/regular title change gives the wrong impression...that post-count is important.
17. I can understand Northern Australia being hit by some unusual tides, I can even see how more Southern parts of Australia could have been affected. I was at the beach that day, I saw that tide come in, and it came quickly. But for the life of me I cannot determine how it rounded the Cape of Good Hope and the Cape Horn, and turned North before hitting California. Or how it made it's way past Australia, across the entirety of the Pacific Ocean and into California. Care to show me?
18. ~_^ If you really do have a problem, and haven't been visiting a Doctor, get one. And if you don't have a problem, well... grow up. What can I say?
19. The water receded after the initial flooding. If it had hung around, then maybe some localised weather effects would have occurred, but it didn't. I was pulling up a statement that I found to be incorrect: a Tsunami is not a form of weather, and it wouldn't have had an effect on said weather. The water didn't sit around on the land, it was either absorbed and drained into groundwater, or it receded back into the ocean. It has no effect on the weather, and especially not on California's weather.
20. "OMG, mY l1f3 suxx sooo000ooo badd rite now mY Gf dUMpedD ,me i thINk alL GiLrs are EVIL!1!!" Just kidding. How close are you relationships with everybody else? How well do you get on with your parent(s)? Your friends? Your siblings? Your teachers? I think you can tell a lot about a person by who they relate to in their life, and who they value the most, and respond the best to. Include anyone that you can think of, coaches, strangers, girlfriends/boyfriends, principals... the list is endless. Well, almost.
21. If it's getting to the stage where these people are taking on distinct personalities, developing histories, and you begin to approach them as real people, then yeah, there is something wrong. If you can't accept that these voices aren't real, then yeah, there is something wrong. If you're pretending that these voices are actual voices, and not you just talking to yourself, then yeah, there is something wrong. Failing any of those criteria, then you should be OK. A bit weird, but OK.
22. 55 Sky As he buckled himself into the plane, he felt his stomach straining to be elsewhere. As he checked and re-checked the gauges, he felt his legs turn to jelly. And as the groundsmen spun the propeller, and the old Tiger-Moth roared back to life, he felt ready for anything. The War was just begun.
23. Two posts that really deserve a kick in the pants:
Besides a little drinking here and some vandalism there I'm pretty good at following the rules, and I'm pretty respectful for the most part. However, exceptions to the rules are when people are disrespecting me, my family, or my friends. I also break rules when I don't agree with them. Again, those are the only exceptions cause I won't break a rule or do something to be a jerk. Just can't do it.
So, you consider vandalism to remain with the boundaries of being respectful? Vandalising doesn't count as you being a jerk? Oh, and best of all, if you don't like a rule, you'll break it?
the wierd thing about rules is that different rules apply to different people! to the rules that apply to me, i adhere strictly. if other poeple try to follow rules that seem to apply only to certain poeple (namely me), they get hauled before the school admistratum.
Now, as somebody who just happened upon this post, you know what you sound like? An idiot. Basically you break rules, and tend to do it all the time, and...that make you cool? Either that, or your just trying to make yourself sound like a big man.
24.
Okay, I'd like to draw everyone's attention to something: tsunami. The Tsunami that happened, killed millions (or whatever it was)? That certainly would have an effect on the weather everywhere else. That's partially why California got so battered; leftovers off the tsunami. And then there were all those hurricanes back in Spetember. Weather has an effec on weather.
This might be more accurate if you were talking about a Tornado. Tsunamis are waves caused by earthquakes. Nothing at all to do with weather, and the tsunami would not have affected global weather patterns, lol. They're completely unrelated things. And it killed 300,000 people.
25.
This also stems from my personal belief that everyone's worshipping the same God with cultural differences.
I guess this leaves Atheists or non-believers out in the cold then?
