The posts can't move, lol. And it said sag, not fall off. But, that question is done! Try out my newest riddle. Edit: Thats not the answer either, Okhami. Try thinking more abstract, in a way...

I can't say that I have ever heard of him...if you want, try searching OB using the Search Box in the Left-hand navigation.
-
Not quite the answer o_O lol.
-
Correct, but to describe the problem better for everyone, if the post is 750ft high, and the rope 250 feet off the ground, then the rope hang down 500ft per post, and seeing as the rope is only 1000ft long, then it is folded in half, and the posts are right next to each other. My riddle: Many things can create one. It can be of any shape or size. It is created for various reasons, and it can shrink or grow with time. What is it?

Sky Prince Bystanders looked on in horror, some fleeing, arms held over their heads, vainly hoping and praying for safety. Others stood as if statues, their eerily distorted shadows stretching into the distances. Faces were contorted, mouth hung open, aghast at the atrocity before them. Flames and wreckage roared high into the sky, as the Hindenberg writhed.
-
Zeta, the rope is only a 1000ft long, but it sags, so how can the distance be 1000ft?
-
Strangely enough, I had to deal with a situation similar to this only this morning, but it was different in the fact that I didn't have to confront the person face to face. Seeing as you live in the same town though, you need to confront them... and you need to let them down gently, by reflecting all your reasons for not wanting to go out with them onto yourself.
-
No, 500 isn't right either, lol. Try drawing a diagram, that might help you...

Baron your losing your touch, would people be proud that she took a baloon? Imagine the feelings of the poor boy she took it from! TRY AGAIN.
A photograph? And your post never said anything about a boy o_O Edit: The answer isn't 250ft, keep trying...
-
A balloon :p My riddle: Two vertical 750 ft posts have a 1000 ft rope stretched between their topmost points. The rope sags to within 250 ft from the ground. How far apart are the posts?

Don't Be Cheap There are people in this world who are exact, and people in this world who are inexact. And there are times, occasions and places where exactitude is not necessarily required. But I believe in being exact, and I believe that skimping or squandering is bad behaviour. Which is why my stories are 55 words long.

TOOD, the answer to my question has already been said, and no, egg is not it. The answer is Bee Hive. Check out ElfPirate's post. My riddle: What is it that was given to you, belongs only to you, and yet your friends use it more than you do?

If they were going to do anything with Prefecture threads, I'd suggest archive, rather than bin them. But instead of that, maybe if there could be a way to engineer some sort of Popup warning "Are you sure you wish to post in this thread: It is Over __ months old, and will most likely be locked" could be more effective...but leave the option open to revive threads that may have some continued relevance.

Damn you, Lady Katana. I figured that one out too! @Katana: I have not got the faintest clue.
-
Great work Elfpirate! And yeah, a form of your one has already been posted, and the answer is river. :)
-
lol. Maybe you should have some sleep then, because that isn't the answer. Try and think of something which fits all the criteria of the riddle...
-
No dice, Okhami :) Keep trying.

Nice work TOOD :) My riddle: Golden treasures I contain, guarded by hundreds and thousands. Stored in a labyrinth where no man walks, yet men come often to seize my gold. By smoke I am overcome and robbed, then left to build my treasure anew. What am I? This one is pretty basic.
-
Haha, fair enough. The answer to my previous riddle is; When 'eat' becomes 'ate'. My riddle: A beggar's brother died, but the man who died had no brother. How could this be? Edit: How could I miss that camel riddle? Now I remember another one very similar, where they had a competition for the World's Slowest Go-Kart; and the solution was the same as that, to switch Karts, lol. How could I forget that?
-
How is "How do you spell assasin?" a riddle? The correct spelling, as Okhami pointed out is assassin...and isn't Washington DC the Capital? Unless you'd count 'W' as being the Capital [only used W as Capital is not pluralular].

We don't call it 'soda' over here.. we normally call it soft drink. Anyway, one of my favourites [if it counts] would be Dr. Pepper. But to head into different areas, that relate to it, I really enjoy 'American Cream Soda', which is basically raspberry, with a tang of something different. It's delicious ^_^; Sadly, I'm not exactly a soft-drink connoisseur, and can't offer any more than that :p
-
I'd agree with Morpheus. That wasn't so hard... o_O
-
But Billy... there are only two sons, as referenced by "The 2 sons wander aimlessly through the journey"... so how can the question be 'which two of his sons'? Edit: Nice try TOOD, but it's letters need to be re-arranged.
-
The correct answer is memories ^_^; @Billy: Did they...kill their camels? My riddle: What common English verb becomes its own past tense by rearranging its letters?

Keep guessing...you're close.
