1.
Seriously though, I don't think that people should meet from the internet...especially on anime boards because we're all ugly as sin and thats why we can't see each others real faces. You don't want to ruin the fantasy.
Heeelllooo? Didn't you read my post? I'm sexy. And stereotyping all anime people as ugly is teh f00l1sh. You obviously haven't seen me, but have you ever heard of Queen Asuka, or Babygirl? Or James for that matter [:p].
2. I run Firefox ~_^ Whenever I return to OB's index, the Arena is collapsed. I might try deleting the cookies, but I just thought I'd mention the problem anyway.
3. You yourself just said that they're all different. You can't objectively compare apples and oranges.
4. Meh, not too sure about the text for your username. To use an old expression, it stands out like dog's balls :p I think fading it in, as with the 'note' would have looked much better. As it stands with the 'note' part, I love that, but I have a question...is that hand-written and scanned, or a font? Because, if it is a font, I'd love it ^_^; And I'd agree with DW about the border: you need one. Everytime I see a borderless image, a small part of me dies, lol.
5. Everytime that I re-visit the Index page, the Arena Forum has retracted back to the bar: Why is this? None of the others do, they all stay how I want them, except for the Arena. Any ideas on this? I don't suppose it is in any way important, but it is annoying, heh.
6. Two things I'd just like to point out, but I can't be bothered quoting. Someone said that the US had only donated $35 million: Well, thats the old figure. It is now $350 million. Someone else said that nobody would be giving more money than the US. Japan donated $500 million towards the efort.
7. My pride and joy, my baby. I'm not telling you what I'm running, because I'm greedy like that, heh. Edit: I wasn't referring to my Y'zdock Alan ;) Shellstyles are hush-hush.
8. The highest praise I can give is this: If I didn't know you, I'd believe that you took this out of a book. A nice, concise piece of writing: It would be the perfect introduction to a novel. It sets the scene so well. In only a few sentences, you already know what this world is like. Impressive writing Alex.
9. Salem?s Lot [M] If you had been there, you would have heard the moan of the wind as its prying fingers sped through the vacant town, whistling through the trees, nosing around the edges of doors. Rats scurried through piles of leaf litter, and feasted on the food left rotting on tables and in cupboards. They were the lords of the town, or so it would seem. But they weren?t, they were scavengers, crawling along behind a grand parade of evil, unnoticed at the moment. Once upon a time, Rittylworth had been a thriving town, full of the hustle and bustle of a wholesome, productive society. They had been simple, but honest folk, all of them devout Christians. And maybe that?s what had attracted Him. Of God he has no fear?he knows that Evil is the only strength. But why Rittylworth? We shall never know. On the Monday it started. First it was only the baker, but then people realised others were going missing too. Monday only one was gone. Tuesday brought to light three more. A schoolteacher, the Mayor, and a child. Wednesday was quiet. Thursday morning, citizens awoke to ten more people missing. Rumours began to circulate of an evil man, dressed in black, and with shadows for eyes. Friday, and five more people were gone. That night, all that was left of the small rural community gathered in the local hall, a converted barn. They were awake all night, but in the morning, a body-count showed three more had disappeared. Saturday night was a nightmare. Nobody went missing, but the walls of the barn shook with the screaming of unmentionable beasts, and the thud of tramping feet. Sunday morning dawned quiet. By Sunday afternoon, nobody in Rittylworth was alive. And if you had been there, in the Church, you would have seen the bodies piled high. For this was Salem?s Lot now. For the next 13 years it would continue to be so. Until the time came for the show to move on? ------ This was just an expansion of my 55 Fiction story. I know it's not very good, but I just thought it would be fun.

11. I'd just like to point out that the throwing of the boxes occurred in this one town where no Indonesian Police had arived yet. If they hadn't acted how they did, I imagine the helicopter would have been swarmed. In another town, where the Police had arrived, there was a well ordered queue, and the boxes were handed out. Just a point to think about.
12.
I'm hurt that I'm not on your list. In conclusion, die.
I would, but before I do, I'm posting up my second list...yes the exclusive one with the super cool people on it. I wouldn't want their names to get lost amidst all of the others. Super-Cool People I'd Like To Meet: Charles.
13. I'm Pro-Choice, but seeing as I'm not a woman, and not pregnant, then why does my opinion matter? Think about that, everyone. And you'll see why Pro-Choice is the way to go.
14. Yay, somebody wants to meet me. I feel so privileged, with one person. But Danethol is cool. So, I'm happy :) I'd like to meet him, Siren, Asphy, Alan, Warlock, James, Juuthenna, Syk, Ryoko TDC, Annie, Kane, Corey, Mitch, Desbreko, Drix, Boo, Radaghast, Wondershot, Panda, Celia, Semjaza and Baron Samedi [because I'm sexy] lol.
15. When I'm playing single player in BF:V there is nothing I enjoy more [when bored] than slitting my teammates throats. Or shooting them when they get into a vehicle I wanted. But thats bots. When I'm online people will shoot me over a chopper, lol. The thing is, if you do team-kill, then you die as well, and you get a 40 second re-spawn time. I've accidentally killed people sometimes, and they've been pretty cool. But then again, you get the people who say "Gimme the ******* helicopter, you're ****, I'm ace, wanker." But I tend to ignore what people are saying.
16. If it's a competition, all the better for the affected areas, heh. Recently Australians raised $60 million dollars for it, from our four main charities. Oh, and you know the Albany farmer who donated 100 tons of deckspace on his cargo ship to take to Asia? Well, he has recieved enough to make a second trip there as well.
17. I'm all for a giant popup for new members, which directs them to the Rules page. You know, one of those annoying ones which you can never close? And it stays there until they've scrolled to the bottom of the Rules page ;) Oh, and it has to flash in gaudy colours.
18. Some small figures: Over $1 billion in aid. Over 150,000 dead.
19. Stumbling Blindly? The man fled through the thick undergrowth, arms wrapped around his head to avoid the cutting sting of branches. He ran on, heedlessly, not realising that his pursuer was channelling him as effectively as a streambank channels it?s flow. He ran, pushing his way without regard through thorn-bushes and briar-patches. ... In the clearing, it pounced. Too easy.
20. Thanks to Liam, I now read Men In Hats, but thats all. I have enough stuff online to waste my time with :)
21. Well, how would you define a country then? By it's Government or by it's people? Because, it has to be defined by one of these. In any case where you are making a decision [in this case to vote], you can only act on what information you have. They only have information which portrays America in a bad light. Most people would accept what their Government is telling them as truth. Their whole society is different to ours... this isn't the Western world where you can criticse your Governments to hell and back, and have the right to do so. They don't have those kind of rights. They're Communist. Their whole society is differently stuctured to ours. So, yes, I can say with a great degree of certainty, that whether you look at it's people or at it's Government, North Korea does not like America.
22. This is an incredibly well written story Alan, I enjoyed it. Your descriptive areas ["her eyes red and long raven locks a mess" " pushing his feet into carelessly strewn shoes and pausing." "the faint stench of stale sweat emanating from his clothes."] are excellent, and you pushed the story along well: it had a nice flow. The events also contained authenticity: you could quite literally 'watch' this story. Sometimes you read writing that is awkward, and feels forced, but this flowed wonderfully. I still think that part about the shock of the water should be changed, but seeing as you like it as is, what can I do :) Nice work Alan.
23. Slowly, Quietly, Nervously? he crept through the dank hallways? surely his enemy was in here somewhere. He dived into the room, scanning it quickly. Movement! He fired?his gun ran dry. Damn, he had missed. Switch to pistol, back into the hallways. Where is he? around this corner? Spin. Movement. Fire. Kill. Baron {HK 9mm} iceman Revenge is sweet.
24. Countries are not something who's 'opinion' on anything can be judged. Therefore, we are looking at either how the Government feels, or how the people feel. Obviously, the Government is an easy one to judge: They hate America. If you base a countries stance off of their Government, then North Korea hates America. The people is a harder question. But, as in a vote, you need to go with what the majority feel. And I daresay the majority of North Koreans don't think of America as the greatest and best nation on Earth [as some people do >_>]. Maybe they don't all hate it. But I'd say a majority of people view it with varying levels of dislike. And thats at the very least, considering they've had the evils of it indoctrinated into them since birth. Can you even grasp that concept? Since they have been born they have never been showed anything positive about America. As I said before, which you obviously didn't quite understand, when you are taking a large group of people's feelings into consideration, it doesn't matter what one individual thinks, it matters what most of them think. Majority rules. Why can't you understand that this kind of thing is what that idea was made for? If you can't get anything important from using majority rules across a country, why vote?
25.
but what was even sadder about the girl whose brother that had down syndrome was swept away from her and their father. His family are starting to lose hope for him coming back but they wouldn't give up on him at first.
The brother was confirmed dead early yesterday morning. Or maybe even the day before, I think.
Did you hear about that Indonesian woman who was hanging on to her two children, one two years of age, the other five years. Well, the water was getting rough, and she was losing her grip on the treebranch (Probably something else, I forget exactly) she was hanging onto, so she decided to let go of the oldest child. Well, she surived...and she later found out that her five-year old was found alive as well. It was great news, but she said she could never forgive herself for letting go of him. But then again, if she didn't she might have died. So what do you think, good, loving mother? Or just a case of being selfish?
She was in danger of losing her two year old son, and had to let go of the five year old, or thats what I heard at least. But, if she was holding both of them, and herself, then if she was trying to save her own life, then it would be sensible. One dead or three dead. Which is better?
Yesturday when I was watching the news they were showing before and after aerial shots of this one city in Sri Lanka I believe. The before shots were of a scene with buildings and such, the after had nothing.
I think that might be the shots I was talking about before: It was the Indonesian city of Banda-Aceh which, as you may be able to tell from the name, projects off the end of Aceh, that Indonesian province I mentioned before.
