1. Segregation is nothing to do with the bar example. Some people just have taste. The dirty guy might have been perfectly nice, but people ought to have some self respect. And for the rest, I believe you're probably referring more to discrimination. Segregation is where two groups are separated. Not where individuals prefer to be discerning in picking their company. But yeah, discrimination is a problem. And equity in the workplace is a fallacy.
 2. I've seen this before. It sounded much more intelligent with the title of 'An Engineer's Perspective On Christmas'. Anyway, the point is, Santa doesn't exist. So, who cares if he should be some little pixie type character, lol. And I do believe that people who purposely spoil the 'Santa' theory for others are bad people. And will burn in hell. Forever. And ever. Amen.
 3. Good Ol' South-West Western Australia. And thats as much as I'm giving away ~_^
 4. Just a note, people. They want to keep tabs on them, not lock them up.
 5. Name: Joshua Callsign: Red Baron Age: 12 years since activation Appearance: Personality: Josh is earnest, and retains, even now, a form of social disorder. He is unfailingly honest, and has an inability to see past fallacies. He isn't incredibly comfortable in social situations, and would rather act as a lone wolf, or in partnership with another Reploid. Humans personalities tend to agitate him, full as they are of lies and half-truths. Josh is solid and dependable, but can often be hard to adjust to in terms of communicating effectively. Biography: Red Baron first appeared in UNAF [United Nations Air Force] at a recruitment day. He flew a perfect 412 mark on the simulator, and was promptly taken as a protege by renowned fighter pilot Yusef Haddad. The usefulness of a fighter pilot in these times has been doubted, but in addition to his pilot training, Josh has also undergone extensive operative training [comparable to SWAT levels, or USMC levels]. Upon his graduation from the UNAF academy, he was sought out by X-Hunters. Joshua has previously been involved in the running of military organisations. He was involved heavily in the security surrounding Stanford 009, and suppressed the information available to the media in it's demise. Nothing else is known about his origins. Affiliation: Newly recruited X-Hunter. Primary Weapon: Conventional appearance sub-machine gun, that uses liquid-nitrogen filled capsules for bullets. Secondary Weapon: Blowtorch. Defensive Capability: Joshua has a cloaking device, but it is only effective when he is absolutely still, and has no shielding capabilities. However, he also has an amazing turn of speed, which he can use to outrun pursuers. [Note: I won't be getting back until 29th of December]
 6. Haha. So, this is ithe infamous Bikini Bandits, the womanses with all of the sexy banners around. Well, the stories match up to the sexahness of your reputation, so they must be pretty good. Nice stuff Annie. Particularly, adding Drix as a Doctor was clever ;) [Loves Kitty's banner >_> Rawr]
 7. Thankyou Jesus There she went again. Nagging, always nagging. Today it would just end. --------- He just wasn't ever good enough for her. But not any more. No, for as Harold held his struggling wife under the surface of the water, that even now after almost a minute threatened to spill over, he knew he was good enough.
 8. News Headlines: Today, in a tragic misinterpretation, Tim Burr was brutally felled by Logg Feller, in front of numerous witnesses.
 9.
Can't say rape is much of a factor, since they usually kill ya anyhow.
Thats crap, lol. Wrong. They hardly ever kill women that they rape. I support abortion, but only in the cases of rape, or circumstances which may cause damage to either mother or baby. And I do think that women who live in a trailer and have seven children should be de-sexed.
 10. What is it with people? Why do poeple go so overboard that they'd actually physically attack someone else, over a parking spot? This hasn't been sparked by any particular incident, it is just something I've been thinking about. So, what experiences have you had with road rage, if any, and what do you think about it? The roads are civilian battlefields, people.
 11. I have never been in a situation that extreme...and I hope never to be. You have emphasised numerous times the foolishness implicit in physically attacking them, and the dangers produced by verbally goading them. So, there is another avenue left. Make yourself superior to them. When people speak to you, look at them. When they swear at you [or whatever] then sneer at them. And remember that you are going somewhere whilst they are not. Walk around, but when you walk, keep your head straight, and your shoulders back. For guys it is a bit easier, we can inject a bit of swagger into our walk, heh, but look like you own the joint. I'm not saying go and provoke them. I'm not advocating that at all. You have to find the right balance between blending into the background, and looking like someone people shouldn't mess with though.
 12.
That is entirely possible, however she is no different from you or I except that she lives in a war torn country (I think she's the Palestinian girl who is currently freezing ehre butt off, I didn't know it got that cold there) and who like most people would like to live in Peace instead of pieces. I have not seen such a statistic she talks about. In talking with my friends I have found that most people don't really know what a Muslim is *they thinks it's a physical country" and don't really care.
Well, no, she doesn't actually live in Palestine. Wasn't even born there. But the Israeli bastards should die anyway. "I have not seen such a statistic she talks about"...err, what the hell do you mean? I'll pick out a few choice quotes for ya. I'll even add a running commentary.
None of those soldiers are innocent, and quite frankly I am happy when they die.
And she accuses us of stereotyping?
They purposely pull the trigger too. Israelis kill civilians on puropse.
Are you sure that true? Have you ever been there and seen it from Canada? Bah. Too tired to go into the other threads to resurrect delightful comments I've seen from Chabichou. However, she is extremist in her views, and many people on the other side of this argument are failing to acknowledge their bias as well. And I'd suggest you get some friends with brains desrtranger. Tell them to stop spending so much time at the Alamo  Israeli's do not go out of their way to kill civilians, but Palestinians do...or the extremist Muslims do. The majority of people on both sides want peace, but it is religion causing this problem. But just a thought...if Palestinians didn't blow themselves up, Israelis wouldn't have any excuse to retaliate. But, if Israeli's stopped returning fire, do you think the bombers would stop? No, because they want Israel to move. So, really, the Palestinians are going to be the ones inciting the attack and retaliations. And I think that if we [read: anyone] wants to continue this Israel vs Palestine debate, we should resurrect that particular debate [Page two of the Lounge]. But I think the dodginess, but ultimate validity of this consensus has been identified.
 13. I'd just like to add one tiny little thing in here: Chabichou is extreme and exaggerates her opinions, and I'm afraid that people on the Israeli's side are doing the same. I do not believe that Israeli soldiers would kill a child. I do not believe Israeli's are blameless. I do not believe Palestinians are justified in blowing up random civilians. I do believe Israeli attacks are better organised and more effective than Palestinian attacks: Israeli's don't purposely target civilians. I do believe Palestinians have a right to be angry. I do believe the land belongs to Israel. I do believe Israel and Palestine should cease hositlities and merge. I don't believe this will happen. I don't believe this thread is heading in it's original direction but it is progressing as discussion should. And, finally, Deathbug, people [HC and myself] had made reference to the 715 people statistic.
 14. On Battlefield, I've been pissed off too, by sore losers or people who are just plain annoying. At least with BF:V it seems that most members are older, more mature, or slightly less n00bish than the people you are describing...but they can be just as bad in their own way. Essentially, you just have to put up and tell them to shut up. It doesn't hurt you forever, lol.
 15.
I can't speak for all religions, of course, but as far as Christianity goes, it's never going to be possible to "prove" God. That would take away free choice. After all, if it could be proven He exists, then you would believe in Him no matter what, just as we believe 2+2=4. It would then no longer be free choice, just as believing 2+2=4 isn't really a choice.
But if he is real, then there doesn't need to be an element of free chouice around it. It's like saying to people they have a choice to walk or fly. They don't. Because the fact is humans can't fly unaided. And, if God was true, then that would be a fact... there is no element of free choice involved. But, just because he exists doesn't mean you have to worship him. Anyway, I don't believe that I said what I was on my first post here, though I imagine most of you know. Agnostic is my 'religion' of choice, lol. I am willing to accept that any number of religious deities may exist. I am not going to discount that, and wouldn't want to. But at the same time, I don't really think that they do exist. So, I sit in the middle, lol. And, if a force such as God does exist, I doubt that he'd even be something we could comprehend.
 16.
The survey conducted by Cornell University also found that Republicans and people who described themselves as highly religious were more apt to support curtailing Muslims' civil liberties than Democrats or people who are less religious.
I knew it was the damn Christians >_>
Cornell student researchers questioned 715 people in the nationwide telephone poll conducted this fall.
Oh, somebody save us. 715 people? Out of... Uum. How many people does America have? 250 million? And if you read the article, it's not like they want to put you all in jail. People are being cautious because they're scared.
have a culture that in its very design does not give women sufferage.
Suffrage, dude. Sufferage is a bad thing.
Because of the strategic importance of the Middle East, it is imperative for us to remain at least cordially treated there.
Everyone loves America over there ;)
There is documented proof that the government and people of Iraq are sympathetic to the enemies of the United States. We don't like that, thus you got to taste a little bit of American lead. Iraqis can blame themselves over that one. Very stupid to be in open defiance of the most powerful nation to ever grace God's Earth.
There is patriotism, and then there is arrogance. And it is this kind of attitude that has gotten America where it is, with the reputation that it has. Oh, how I wish for a big winking smiley with a thumbs up.
Here?s a thought. Why don?t you list all resolutions in violation and we can see just how biased those 60 are against Israel, and how common-sense driven those directed at Iraq were.
I doubt it is as simple as that Boba. I dare say Israel is in violation of many things. There is no black and white. Anyway, this figure is probably way off the actual mark. But, I do think it is reasonable. If there was a person who had been identified as a possible threat, those methods would be acceptable. Islam has been identified as a possible threat. It makes sense. Sadly.
 17. Azure is a Bio major, or something along those lines. He probably talks that stuff in his sleep ~_^ Anyway, I think cloning has the capacity to greatly benefit society, and the possibility to save a lot of people. Same as with stem cell research. I don't think people would ever accept a fully cloned human, but I do think one will be produced, if they ever learn how to. And it will happen in some tiny clinic in the Swiss Alps, and nobody will ever hear about it. Because thats how it works...someone will always want to push the boundaries a little further. But this kind of experimentation will prove immensely usefu, and beneficial.l The [Nazis? Chinese?] who tested horrible things on people, and did all sorts of 'research' during wartime which was morally corrupt and undefendable, actually advanced science a long way. Do the means justify the ends? No, but even in the most reprehensible of situations, good can be gleaned. And I think it is the same with cloning. Especially if they do manage to 'create' a human. Do I think they should? No. Medicinal benefits, and agricultural [not to mention preservation and resurrection of species] benefits to be found in a cheap and efficient cloning process would be astounding. I think cloning has the capacity to be a great thing, but the capability to be misused. As does anything though.
 18. Cliffside Lane The tight, low-slung Boxter whipped around the bends in the road. He felt the pull of the G-forces, which threatened to send the car flying into the fence... A quick glance in the rearview mirror showed the Diablo coming up behind him. He turned his gaze back forward. Saw the corner. Half a second too late.
 19. Cousins can actually have a child, and the odds of having 'problems' with said child are incredibly low. With cousins, there is considered enough 'dilution' for acceptable levels of 'risk' to be taken in having a child. That said, poeple who marry their cousins are looked down upon, despite the lack of 'risk' involved in it. Homosexuality doesn't harm anyone. And we can argue that. But, from the whole slippery slope thing, how will people be able to persuade others that genetic defects are good things, or that cross-species breeding is a good thing? Or even acceptable? I don't think they will. Which is why the slippery-slope slant sucks. Alliteration. Whoo :p
 20.
For chrissake, they are out of school and are old enough to drink and drive.
Hopefully not all at the same time, lol. I personally think this is a good, sensible idea, even though it will make it harder for me when the time comes around for me to get my license. Coupled with the hoon laws, I think this is another effective step-forward by the Government in taking better care of our P-platers. And the other people who have to share the road with them ~_^
 21. Salad I hate salad. All green, and...icky. And you never know what you're going to find in it. It's like the lucky dip of life. Except I always end up with something gross. Like the time I found the cockroach in the lettuce. But nobody wants to know about that. I reach for the bowl.
 22. You should do this test Alan, to standardise us all, and whatnot ;) I scored 130, and finished with just under 2 minutes to go. Sadly my maths brain wasn't exactly in gear today. Had to just guess a few.
 23. Just say to her "I'm Jack's friend, and I don't think you should be flirting with me".
 24.
Haha, I could have sworn you were Catholic (Baron, Catholics are Christians too).
Oh...shows just how much I know about denominations then, doesn't it, heh.
 25. As I said, I see no problem with this. It is quite amusing, although my heart goes out to poor Soley. Interesting to see Adam employing such shady characters as n00b-Hunters though... :p I enjoyed this piece though.
