1. Awesome name there DW, and I love the cover art. I'd love to hear some of your stuff one day. I would recommend making your name sharper though- it is a bit too blurred. Good work, aside from that. Yohoho.
2. Let's make a pact to all [strike]get laid[/strike] become true OBers [strike]before the end of year[/strike] whenever we want! I come here because I enjoy it. If I didn't, I wouldn't be here. I like the Art section and the Lounge. Woohoo.
3. I would like an option to choose your time. Like, it is American time, or GMT or something. And seeing as I live in Australia...well it always messes around the dates in my post and stuff. It would just be good if you could change your time settings. Maybe that way people could have it show what their time was when I posted it, and what my time was when I posted it. So it would show like. [12:10PM, 17th March] 12:12AM 16th March See? That might be good.
4. Fo' Schizzle mah nizzle: As in, do people really talk like this? Seriously guys...some of this stuff is absolutely ridiculous. There is slang, there is slang and there is absolutely stupid, ridiculous, rubbish. Which section does your stuff belong in? Whatever: When I can't be bothered explaining. Sure thing: Affirmative, cool and laidback. Or just another form of blowing people off. Foonge: Odd word we use for a friend of mine. He is kind of clumsy and strange and...the word fits him. Senior-Major: Expression I used a few years ago quite often to express...well, a 'lot'. Such as "Busted Senior-Major!" or "Holy Senior-Major". Beat Feet: As in to 'hurry up' or 'Let's go'. Thats about it. Lots of stuff I probably don't realise I use though.
5. It's really quite simple. First of all, you join up with myOtaku.com, right? Go to myOtaku and scroll down until you see the signup section. Join and login. It basically tells you what to do next...but you can add an introduction in [Edit Content], add a Blog pst in [Add Post] and then Modify said post later in [Modify Post]. It is all pretty simple- you just need to join myOtaku.
6. Anti-Racist of course. They're not saying that you're not allowed to be racist...they're not infringing on other's rights. Be racist, but keep your opinions to yourself. Anti-racists promote a world that puts up and shuts up, at the very least, rather than having to accept it.
7. And the award for Most Desirable Song to Sing goes to... Black Betty by Ram Jam!. Can't go wrong with that. Either that, or White Flag by Dido. Just choose something that you love and can sing reasonably well.
8. . I must say, that is pretty cool James. The attention to detail, such as the outlined [splodges] of white on it, the dots around the edge [how do you do that?] and a few other bits. I personally prefer a continuous border style, but your border actually is really effective. I would never have associated it with the Matrix series though, I must say. It looks good, but one thing I would do is bring the lines that make the bottle shape down so that they merge with the green border. Do you see what I mean? Just pull them up and down [respectively] and merge them. That might look better- I don't know. Overall though, not a bad banner. Aesthetics: 8/10 Technical: 8.5/10
9. Will any of this help you? Will any of this make her like you? You've obviously done some...strange stuff. That is seriously weird. But...you're 17. Not even out of school. There will be others, and eventually you'll forget all about this girl. I am highly skeptical about this...but whatever. Move on. Unless she is really forgiving then I don't think you will have a chance with her. Move on. If you really feel that strongly for her then make her happy and leave off. Suicide? Don't be an idiot. Or a coward. Suicide is not the thing to do.
10. Well Jenn, I wasn't speaking from personal experience. However many writers say that if you don't have the ideas...if you don't have the inspiration to write then you may as well not be writing. If you have a block then by forcing yourself to write you are lowering the quality of your work. I don't know. I suppose different people cope with it differently ^_^.
11. Well, here are mine. Please people, I beg you host these images off your own hosts. I wish I owned webspace but I do have a mere free account. Plus with the thousands of people who will be visitng my site, the bandwidth will go out the window ^_^. Lol. And just for you Semjaza, an 88x31 button. 12. Non-named. Definitely. The named one looks...well, to be entirely honest, lame. I don't like how plain and unadorned and... sore-thumbish the text appears. Also, as Tony said your name is already above your post. As for the actual banner...well, that is just cool. It is a great stock image and an awesome background. The border complements the feel of the banner well, and I like the placement of the character. Your work here meshes well. What is this picture from? Good work here. Aesthetics: 9/10 Technical: 8/10
13. I don't know if this is acceptable, or whatever, but I think this is a good idea. With mO, lots of people are starting to use buttons. But wouldn't it be helpful if you had a certain place where you could put your buttons up? Some rules though. 1: 100x35 pixels is the maximum size. Three buttons at most. Try to make them different colour schemes if you can so they match in with people mO's better. Any border will do, but it must have one. That is about it. I will probably put mine up when I get home. I hope this goes well. -Josh
14. Uuh, wristcutter. I believe she was using the form of adress 'one' as referring to herself in the third person. Like... actually, an example eludes me. I can't think of one...but sometimes you may refer to yourself as 'one' and not mean it as 'the only one'. So, yeah. Thought I might add that. Now piercings...Hhrrmmm. I don't particularly like nose rings, and belly-rings make me squirm. Let's not even discuss eyebrow, nipple, lip or tongue rings. Earrings I can live with. Maybe a belly button ring. Other stuff just makes me queazy though...and queazy isn't an "attractive" feeling.
15. Here it is. I hope this is what you wanted. EDIT:Couldn't export as JPG so it is an animated GIF.
16. I can't say that I like this a lot. As I have said before...it doesn't really do much for me. It looks alright...but yeah. The more I look, the more detail I see, and it closely resembles pipes. I understand that this must have taken...woah. An enormous amount of time and patience. It seems to grow on me, but I don't think I'll ever really love this style. I must say, it does look cool in some bits, but overall does little for me. I do admire how much effort you put into this though. Good stuff.
17. This is much better. I think anyway...aside from the aforementioned quality problems, I like this. If you want to undo something straight away, press Ctrl+Z. That will undo something. A thinner one pixel border would do nicely. Maybe a few lighter yellow lines on the background would be good. Export at highest quality...and it'll all be good. You're getting better already. Nice cropping work. Aesthetics: 4/10 [Quality Control] Technical: 6/10
18. Advice for you. Never ever ever ever ever make yourself write. If you can't think of anything...leave it. Forcing yourself to write is a horrible idea. You'll absolutely kill your work. Let it come. If it ends up that a few weeks go by and you haven't written anything...don't worry. It will come, or it won't. Being a writer is all about what you don't finish.
19. I'd like to agree with what wrist_cutter said. Hair is important too. I absolutely adore normal hair. lol. I like it longer than short, and straight. I don't like frizz, or curls. Hair is...well, it can make or break a face and a whole appearance. It seems shallow, but hair is a deeply attractive thing. I could be interested in a person...they change their hair and all my interest goes out the window. Strange, but true, put it on Ripley's.
20. Here you go Ryoko. I hope you like it. Heh. I think it turned out alright, myself. -Josh [Would you mind including a thanks to me in your siggie? So people will know my work, thats all.] ;)
21. I too am experiencing this problem. It has occurred on my home computer and another computer at school. Home= XP, IE 6.0 School= '98, IE 5? Screen resolution is 1024x768 at home and... 800x600 at school I think. It isn't major, but good idea to bring it up Semjaza.
22. Some people find it easier to joke about difficult stuff, some like to try to shrug it off. Some people really don't give a damn. Why should you care about that though? You are you, not them. You know that some other people care about it as well...it doesn't matter if you're in the minority or not. Does it matter if you're the only one who feels this way? As I see it, no. It doesn't. You are you, an indivudal. Unique. It is a proven fact that everybody actally interprets the world differently. What you see in red is different to what I see thanks to our genes. You can't expect everyone to think the same as you do...however there are some people who feel about this issue the way you do. I hope that is assurance enough.
23.
He had a copy of her driver's license, the only thing that had been missing at the crime scene

How are they so sure that the letter is from him? It could have been sent from some punk kid as a joke
That explain it? Anyway, that is a pretty scary thought. Can't say that I've ever heard of him, but yeah. You're lucky. Unless of course, it wasn't a random attack in which case...yeah. Still must be pretty scary. At least you weren't old enough to understand at the time.
24. It doesn't "suck" as such. However, there are a lot of things that could be improved. Number one, and perhaps most importantly, is a border. A simple thin black line will often do, and complement a banner nicely. A banner isn't really complete without a border I feel. Wherever you click on the text tool, something somewhere should change. From there you should be able to alter text sizes and formats. Also, you have four or five images in the banner...not good. Every single [well, just about] first banner I have ever seen seems to be crammed with images. Why? It just doesn't look good. Crop closer to the body [grey picture for instance], don't overload your banner, add a border and practice, practice, practice and you will get better very quickly. Not a bad first attempt. Aesthetics: 3/10 Technical: 3/10
25. What is beautiful? Hhhmmm. Looks. Face- a pretty face is a must. They have to have a nice face. Breasts: I don't like big ones. Like, really big ones. They're a turn off. Belly: Nice belly. Tanned [somewhat, maybe] and firm. Butt: A nice butt is nice. Legs: I like firm legs. Hands: I like...nice hands. Not nasty ones...hard to explain. Brains. Smart: I like someone who knows [and cares] what I think. Personality: Someone who has a nice one... funny, clever, nice. Likes: I want someone who likes to cuddle, or just sit at home and do nothing. I don't want to be out and about constantly. Basically, an all around great person. As I always say, "Without looks, you won't bother getting to know a person." Looks start the path....personality completes it.
