1. Nessie is probably just a big Australian salt water crocodile who got lost. Them crocs can get real big, I tell you! I think that there could be some truth to any of these things. Good Ol' Rupert and Marjory commenting on the giant Sphinx that ate their apple pie last night seems far-fetched [Rupert does have a pot-belly], but really...there is a lot of undocumented stuff out there. Who knows? I don't. You don't.
 2.
Lady M]Those opposed to Christian prayer may even leave the room if they want to.
Why should they have to leave the room? If anyone, the Christians should have to leave the room.
 3. I believe this generation will be one of the last racist generations. We are such an eclectic mix...how can we possibly sustain the level of racism of previous generations? Will racism be phased out: Highly likely. Also, I believe that lots of the Asians are highly racist towards others. i.e. Japanese [or Chinese] view themselves as waaay more superior than Koreans or Vietnamese. Racism is everywhere...but going. Slowly going.
 4. I'm glad Wrist_cutter pointed this out...they're doing it before school. i.e. in their own time. What kind of problem could there be with this? Own time, free time. Do what they want to do. Get it?
 5. Shinken: To me it didn't sound remotely like Justin was forcing his beliefs on anyone. The last...sentence or two was quite...zealous, but in the sentences prior to that, he stated that he didn't force beliefs on people. Which he didn't. Faith and Religion are separate things. I have faith in my ability to rock-climb, but I don't believe in a God. Religion is a form of faith, specifically in some type of Supreme Being. Faith can also stand alone though. If there are people who only have moral laws because they're religion commands it...they're not moral people. If anything, they're immoral and highly religious. I don't have any form of religion...but I have morals. Hell, morals are anything. You could be raised to believe that stabbing a person in the back is the moral thing to do. Screw over others before they screw over you. Morals are anything. Morals are separate from religion. In the region of morals, religion has little bearing, because, most people, regardless of their religion know what is right and wrong. Why must we be governed by these 'Metaphysical ideals'. I know I'm not Christian, Buddhist, Catholic, Luciferian, Judaist[?] or anything else. But I have morals. There are basic things that are right and that are wrong, and there are basic rights and privileges, and everybody knows this. It doesn't matter who you are. You all [should] know the vasics. Does that indicate that our moral structure could withstand the fall of religion? I think so. Some people use religion as a crutch. I don't understand that, but if they want to that is fine. All I am saying, is that unlike a true cripple, the crutch of religion can be removed without the moral system falling over. Religion does not make a person. Upbringing does. Religion is not a necessity to a good upbringing. Can you argue otherwise? I don't believe that you can. -Josh
 6. http://www.otakuboards.com/showthread.php?t=24546 Now, don't judge me on the quality of my typing there, but that is a lot of argument for you people to sink your teeth into. I don't know a whole ton about this of course..but neither, I wager, do you. I didn't reread the link I posted up, but here is what I think as of now. Humans are wasteful and bad and all, but we are gradually improving. Killing our planet? Possibly. Probably even. Hopefully we can get out of the loop before we do though, and we certainly seem to be working on it now. The Earth can support us...if we manage it efficiently. Urban Sprawl, Third World Countries, Pollution. All contribute a detrimental effect on our world. Overcome these problems and we should definitely be on the road out of danger. -Josh
 7. Personally, I like the black one better, because the colours seem to work better together I feel. As for the actual designs...I like them I suppose. They're alright. But they just don't have any... X Factor to them I feel. They're pretty, and a lot of work has obviously gone into them. I'm just not feeling much, and I am not particularly awed. Basically, I'd have to say that they're "Nice". I must compliment you on that symbol though. That is very cool. -Josh
 8. Religious prisons? No. I don't think so. Not unless they're going to be exactly the same as public prisons, but with religion as well. Otherwise people, who just because they're religious, will get off easier. A much more practical and acceptable approach would be to have the oportunity of a "Religious Package" for the duration of their stay at "the hospitable New York Maximum Security Penitentiary". They can say prayers, have a service, eat buffalo on Thursday nights, or whatever it is. But they still are in jail with everyone else. Why should they get what will [probably] be an easier deal? They're criminals. That is the whole point of it, isn't it? Criminals. Religious child-care? I don't see why not, but Government funding should not be allocated to these... because they are out of the system, and segregate children. They are more like a private school because certain criterium need to be met to gain entrance. Right? So therefore, Government funding should not be given to them. If parents want a religious up-bringing for their children...it is their choice. However, funds should not be allocated to those schools. Now, Crimson Spider...as for "Having evolution rammed down their throats" that isn't the case for anyone I know, and shouldn't be if it is. Like those stupid things where some guy comes into school for religious purposes [the ones I took to get out of schoolwork...actually everyone did] they should have it for people who want to go. "So kids. If you believe in God, go with Mr. Christian. If you believe in Evolution, go with Mr. Darwin. If you don't really care, go with Mr. Beret and do fingerpainting." You see? Religion, indeed, any form of beliefs should be removed 100% from school situations. Evolutionism is practically a religion, in the fact that it is a belief-system [as such]. Therefore it, like religion, has no place in any Goverment system. -Josh
 9. Actually... I used Photoshop Sumi-E on the Train one...and I made the little squares on the JazzCity one in photoshop. Everything else, in fact every single one of my banners I have ever made was made 100% in Serif Photoplus. I think the company has gone out of business now, but I am telling you...it is a good program. '97 but still works well, and is very user friendly. Now that I have Adobe PS6 everything should be good. But, in answer to your question, I use Serif mainly. Also Pyro, with that comment on the Train one...do you like the quote or not? I read the passage several times over, and I am still unsure if you liked that quote or not. -Josh
 10. Why complain? It won't undo anything. 12 pages is excessive, but if they want to waste their time...that is their problem. As you said Wondershot....people don't have to read it. I consider it the complainers fault. Maybe mention that their bio is a bit too long, but don't whinge, damnit. Whinging solves nothing. It's not like the bio killed your mother or anything, is it? Grow up and move on I say....it isn't like you have to read their bio. Ask them to cut back on it in future maybe...but if not, just leave it. -Josh.
 11.
Well if your 'Back' then you should know the rules already....
Hold your horses junior! Hey Annie. As I said this morning, it is great to have you back. I hope Tech School takes it easier on you, and you recover from BMT ~_^. I hope that you can stick around for a while. Personally, I've missed you and I know others have. So, tell us [all] more about BMT. What happened? I want all the gory details. 'K? -Josh.
 12. Wow. I am super-glad that you all like them. Thanks for the comments ^_^. You have just made my day. If you don't see the 'Surprise' in my Matrix banner.. I won't tell you. Be my little secret. Teehee. Anyway, here is the others that I mentioned before. Hope you like these too. -Josh. -Made this a while ago. Picture I found and a picture I made overlayed with some filters and some text. I like it, and it reminds me of...petals. -Made this one last night out of this glorious puicture I found. Did some minor effects, bordered it and added the text. I think this one turned out quite nicely. -Picture I found, which I overlayed with another and messed around with shapes and Dodge and whatnot. Not a bad banner I think.
 13. "PLZ Rates" I...think I too would go for the second one, though the differences seem miniscule. The text definitely looks better lower down. What I...disagree with is the 'Rank A Maverick Hunters'. I don't like it. It goes right across the middle of the banner and really ruins it for me. I don't think the names of the MH's are that important. I think you should choose one or the other text-pieces. Don't have both. It just doesn't look good. I would also swear I have seen that background around somewhere...but I'll say it's yours, because I'm not sure =\. Overall, good work. Aesthetics: 8/10 Tehcnical: 6.5/10
 14. You can all cheer, or something. Because, here with me in the studio.... I have my latest pieces. Some of them aren't the best pieces, some of them are relatively simple. Some I've been sitting on for a while. But, here they are. Have fun, folks. [PS. I have two more as well...which I'll add when I can.] -Josh. -This one is really old...like 8 months or so. Like I said, I've been sitting on it for a while. -New one [Last night]. Not overly complex, but I actually love the idea of it. -I've had this piccie lying around for a while. Just stuck it in a banner. See if you can see the 'surprise' though. -I just blended two images [One I made] and added some text. I like it. Do you?
 15. Simple. Government is a system for governing and controlling everyone in it's jurisdiction, right? Religion is a voluntary system wherebye people believing in the same thing, do so. Right? They should be separate. Goverment is something compulsory for everyone. Religion isn't. They don't mesh. Stop trying to put a square peg in a round hole, because it isn't damn well going to fit. If you're religious, do it in your own time. Don't infringe on others.
 16.
Of course, you should know that I'm a devote Satanist, and Luciferian, so maybe I'm a little biased.

Now mind you, I dont worship Satan. I dont even believe Satan is real.
Out of curiosity, which is it?
 17. God. I wish I could make something approaching the....awesomeness that is this piece. It is... Amazing. Wonderful. Compelling. A truly nice piece. The colour scheme is delicious... it reminds me of Passiona. The funny little clock-like things remind me of...clocks. It seems to me to be a dreamy scene... the vortex of time being whirled away, leaving only the soft background and shimmering colours. A glorious mirage of...beauty. I must say that I truly admire this piece. Lovely work. Aesthetics: 9.5/10 Technical: 9/10
 18. Ruben ambled down the docksides. Over his back he had a pack slung, which was full of clothes, and a few packets of seeds. Seeds..... how would that mast look covered in ivy? Hhhrrmm. Pretty. Trying to look as clean as possible, he wiped his grimy hands down his pants, and ran his hands though his hair. Which just stood up more than before. So much for that. Third in line from the front, Ruben dropped the pack off his muscular shoulders. He hoped he wasn't wasting his time. I mean, he should really be planting Mr. Thomson's new oak. Aah well. What could be cooler than being a pirate? He even had brought a fake eye-patch he had made. Slipping it on quickly, he looked around. He felt like a real pirate with the patch. A silly grin spread over his features.
 19. Here is a banner I made for someone. I just thought a bit of critique would be good though, so, please, tell me what you think. I also had no control in what the picture was [quality-wise], so just say what you think of the banner as a whole, thanks.
 20. Behold! For your wish is granted. I could only fit one Gundam on it though. Hope you approve.
 21. Things that annoy me. Egotists. People who try to be annoying. Whingers. Extreme swearers. Bullies. People with 'big noses', so to speak. Stubborn people [when they're unreasonable]. Unreasonable people. Vandals. Big-heads. Show-offs.
 22. From the beginning gentlemen!
Eh, your all far too close minded. I'm a devout athiest, therefor I disbelieve in the fact there is a god, or anything else the "Holy" book tells about. To say there has to be a beginning is false, you simply believe there has to be a beginning. Just because some guy wrote a book about his beliefs doesn't make it true. Organized religion is a ludicrous idea to me, it assumes a certain faction of assimilation that should not be followed, to blindly believe in what somebody tells you is the truth is pointless. Now I'm not saying that I risregard your right to believe in what you believe, but believe in it because you want to, not because your family does and you got dragged along for the ride. I believe that we are here simply because we are, there is no concrete proof to tell me otherwise so I don't believe it. When we die I don't believe we get judged and sent to either heaven or hell, I believe consciousness simply ends, we no longer exist, its as simple as that. Oh creating controversy, I love it.
You didn't say it was wrong, however you stated your beliefs in the most crass, and offensive manner. You shied clear of openly refuting Christianity, but you did...portray your beliefs in a very offensive manner. And you then crowed about 'controversy' over something which really only showed how bad you are.
Never said I was more enlightened, but to believe 100% that everything had to start some where is infact close minded....in fact it could be used to define the word. Anything else you want to bore me with?
No, Mr Bigshot. Why is it closeminded? By definition, open-mindedness is the willingness to accept that anything could be true. You don't. You've stated that you don't, quite vehemently. Saying something had to start is closeminded. But you are saying that something didn't have to start somewhere is close-minded as well.
Its funny that everyone did exactly as I suspected, defend their belief without truly reading what I said.
People defend their beliefs against rudeness? Shocking.
The meaning of conroversy obviously escapes you, a working usage of the english language would be beneficial before you post random inane spam flames.
Random, inane flames? I'm hurt. I thought it was quite appropriate, considering. Aah well. Controversy. I know what it means. However, a more appropriate synonym would be appropriate, such as 'disagreement' or 'dispute'. And yes, they are synonyms.
Once again that english language thing, hard language I know but try to keep up.
I have no problem with English. Do you? Unless it is just typing that is highlighting your spelling and grammatical errors.
By your logic, to claim someone close minded and not be open to the fact that he is open minded would make you close minded, hey its you're logic, not mine.
Oh, I accept that you could be open-minded, but you haven't shown me that so far. I am open-minded on religion, not necessarily everything. Especially not...egotists. Atheism is a disbelief in Gods. Rather, believing that there are no Gods. Putting faith into the fact that this is a godless existence we live. [Funny to see you disappear here when all the 'big scary smart' people appeared]
Funny because you just said the same thing I said about my beliefs, but about your own, only less bluntly. You say A certain religion didn't make sense to you, as did I, You said you believed in something else that pretty much went completely against the teachings of another religion, as did I. Strange how someone who did the same thing as me would actually then judge me in the same post. Guh, some people's children.
Only thing is, Sir, he didn't insult everyone in a rude, crass manner! Don't forget, you're someones child too!
Once again the degrading flames of a childish fool. Perhaps you want to remain on topic rather than trying to belittle me hmm? Or is your arguement so flimsy you have to use personal attacks to keep up? That would make much more sense in this case. Lets see here.
Let's see indeed.
your reading comprehension is just so pathetic it almost makes me want to cry. I mean have you passed grade three english? I would seriously love to know if you have, cuz it would amaze me if you did. so yeah you are being quite a dick, I on the other hand am now personally attack you because well, your a hypocrite like I said before and quite a dumb one at that. then some moron is gonna flame you
>.< Ooh, low blows. Oh.. wait. You don't do cheap personal attacks do you?
If you stop replying I wouldn't have a reason to reply would I?
If you stopped replying, he wouldn't have reason to reply. Everyone wants to have the last word. This, to everyone: Believe in religion or not. Accept that others are free and have their own choices. Pressure not others to convert, but let it be known that it is open for them. Basically, people can make their own decisions, and as long as they don't infringe upon any other person... they deserve to be allowed. Also, frankly means to be concise. Or short. The word is understandable in that context, I'm afraid.
 23. Name: Ruben Thorne Gender: Uncontrollably male. Age: 32 Occupation: Gardener. Very handy with a shovel, pitchfork or hoe. Eats lots, works hard. Hope you like DW. Very short and simple I'm afraid. ~_^
 24. Values I admire. Honesty: How can you like a person who you know may be lying to you at every stage? You must be able to trust that they have some amount of honesty. [Also Includes Trustworthiness, Loyalty and Integrity.] Courage: The courage to be honest, the courage to view the world honestly, the courage to stick to your guns, the courage to accept when you are wrong, and defend when you are right. The courage to stand alone, if need be, against the tide. The courage to rise above the crowd, no matter where. The courage to smile at people. The courage to live. Admirable. Focus: One attribute I really wish I had. This attribute is a wonderful, miraculous thing, and those who have it I admire greatly. Courteousness: I have this [Yes, I do!] and it is... a nice thing to help another person. It is polite and charitable to aid another, and be kind. A simple, yet sometimes lacking faculty. Selflessness: The ability to help another, with no thought for yourself or your wishes, just because you should. Isn't that admirable?
 25.
I knew this one kid who called everyone a "jew bag", whatever that meant. He was obviously an idiot.
>_> I would swear that was meant to be funny. Just thought I'd let you know that the joke wasn't missed by me at least. Heh. E D I T: Now that I take my time to read this properly... I see that he was calling everyone a 'jew bag'. They weren't calling him one. =\. I should take the time to read things word-by-word. Still funny, just not how I thought it was.
