I am shocked at some people here. [Cough -Hells Fire- cough] How can you have that much moolah spent on you? And expect it. Ah well, guess some people come from well off families. heh. Anyhow... from my mum- Two shirts, shorts, speedball, cd, beachtowel, toblerone. Very good^_^ From dad- $700[Au] of computer upgrades, silver necklace, key thingo, mug and a 3 piece speaker and subwoofer set for my computer. So, pretty good. Plus I don't know what I will get from my rellies yet. A pretty damn good christmas. Hope you all had good ones.

Hope you're actually gonna stay around for this Drix- lol _______________________ Mind if I am a creature? I just always wanted to be a wolf. I have read the Silmarillion ages ago and can't remember much. I'll make up an obscure lineage that won't directly affect the story. Name: Ruben Thorne Age: 72 Race: Hybrid Wolf from Doriath. A description will be needed- essentially it is a large [slightly larger than a packhorse] wolf. Mutated, it can communicate in several languages, albeit rudimentarily. Homeland: Forsets of Doriath Swear fealty to: No one in particular. Lineage: Ruben son of Dorben son of Horlen mated to Morganna the lineage of Torak- the Great Wolf. Weapons: Teeth, claws. When 'human' he wears a pair of massive steel gauntlets. Magic: Due to lingering pockets of Deep Magic in the Doriath Forests, some creatures have been altered. Ruben can change from a hybrid wolf to a form of human. This form of human however is unlike any ever seen. Half-wild, massively large and fierce. Mainly changes for the advantages of hands. History: Born into the Doriath forests, he was raised by his father Dorben. He grew larger than his father, and lived alone in the forest. Lately though he has been having nightmares about fire and flame though. And, right behind his eyes he has felt searing flames. He is on the move to the Elven Kingdoms for answers to his problem. He smells war on the horizon, and the prospect of carnage is pleasing to him. Personality: Rough, tough and basically wild, Ruben is a scavenger and opportunist. Will work for rewards, being money or food. He is a dark, cynical creature who will switch sides with no concerns or conscience panges.

Ok. You really should darken both pieces of text there. It is damn near impossible to read them. I can't read the bottom one, though I assume it says Shoot.This. What think you need is a smidgeon of colour near the top right hand corner. Something to draw focus. Maybe a word in pink- just something small but interesting. Maybe a symbol that you really like? i don't know. Just fill up that space. Also I think you need a bolder, coloured border.

What Christmas means to me... the anticipation of recieving, the nervousness of giving, the good atmosphere, the sociality. A lot of things. I don't currently believe in any God, nor have I ever. However, here is the real deal on this stuff. JC wasn't born on Christmas [this is my memory]. Lots of Christian celebrations are originally pagan. However, the Church was a new force and needed power. So they took the pagan traditions and altered them to suit their own views, which made the pagans feel more comfotable with it. Apparently lots of Christian things stem from pagan factors. I sadly can't recall any as of now, but I'll update you on that sometime.

What does this humble site have to offer in Life?
Baron Samedi replied to AnonymousSource's topic in General Discussion
Basically, you mentioned them all. Your reading skills improve, your argumentative skills improve, you get to meet a great bunch of people, get to express your opinions anonymously, can talk over your problems. Your typing skills will improve, your mind may become sharper, you may actually learn something interesting. All good reasons to do OB. An hour a day is nothing. No problem. There are many more reasons as well to join Ob but those are all I can currently think of. -
Writing Gamers might get a kick out of this...
Baron Samedi replied to RPCrazy's topic in Creative Works
That is great. lol. A very good, well thought out piece and I have to show it to my mother. *grins* Heh. Very good job. I was kind of sceptical as to whether you would be able to make a good case for it, but you have. Marvellous job. Also, I have Spyro 1, 2 and 3 Good stuff. Your niece has taste. -
I have already spoken with you about your 10,000 members banner-but I have two other areas that I think could be improved on. I really really don't like the gun. It- looks fake. Now, I know it probably isn't supposed to look real, but the plain, crappy looking cylindrical design for the barrels irks me. I know it's not your fault, but I just don't like the character. Now, the only improvements would be with the text. I think 'my Otaku' could be a little thicker, but the font itself is gorgeous. Maybe I am half blind, but it is hard to make out the letters in the bottom. I think you could increase their size a bit. Overall I love your work, still. Heh. Is that a border? Oddest border I have ever seen ^_^. Anyway, it looks good. Cross-sectioning is oten really effective.

At that precise moment a loud squeal ripped through the air, as a clapped out Ford Falcon came flying through the gates. It sped up the drive, careering over the manicured lawns to avoid running the pirate over. It pulled to a stop about five metres past the front steps, and reversed back. A rough looking man, dressed entirely in dark clothes got out of the drivers side door, and went arouund to the back of the car. Another blonde guy got out of the passenger seat. Staggering slightly, he walked around to help Ruben with his gear. Looking up to the front of the house, RUben saw a small group of people standing there. Smiling he waved and called, nay, bellowed out, "Ahoy fellas. I s'pose this is the place for the show?" He was met by a chorus of mute nods. Turning back, he chucked his bags on the ground. He slapped his mate on the back and dragged his two bags up the steps. Turning around, he waved his friend off ["See ya JC!"] . He walked straight up to the others and extended his hand. Brashly he said "The name's Ruben. Who're you guys?"

Art My Gift to OB: How the James Stole Christmas (animation)
Baron Samedi replied to Dragon Warrior's topic in Creative Works
Sara. You're cruel. I alost started crying when the tears welled up in Syk-Blob's little eyes. It was a very tenderhearted, sweet moment. He went to so much effort to make James a christmas suit. And James dashed his hopes just like that. How cruel. All in all- a masterful piece. I did notice Syk-Blob Changing colour often though. And the sleigh. What happened to Santa? Someone better set him free soon or we're in trouble. Also.. I love your red christmas avi. I just noticed it. Heh. Who was the snowman? Have I been blindsided by a nefarious insider-trading issue?... ...... I mean insider joke. -
Ooh. Definitely I would say. I havn't read any other of his books, but the Da Vinci Code.. it is very complex and very interesting. I was so pleased to get this book. I can almost recommend that you will enjoy it. The story twists and turns a lot, and you can really find yourself being drawn in. Definitely a top-notch story, and a must read.

Ooh. Impressive. It looks very good. Some of the frilly things you obviously havn't coloured in yet- however, the rest of it... is flawless. Some of the maximilli look a leetle bit off but yeah- it looks like Computerised Graphics. Very good-I am impressed. Love the lighted highlights and the awesome colouring. Aesthetics: 8.5/10 Technical: 8/10

Gorgeous. I love it. I have never played Megaman, but this banner is... exquisite. I really love your work Kaisuke- I love the feel that you have with your stuff, not to mention the crisp, sleek modernism mixed in with it. Lovely work. Aesthetics: 10/10 Technical: 9/10

Just generally- it looks terrible. As a Shiny Shite-y Shin thing though- it rocks. lol ^____^. I must say- your handwriting is... ony slightly worse than mine. lol. As an artist[strike]e[/strike], it is lacking. As a person who has the pleasure of being slightly acquainted with you- it is a picasso. marvellous.

Bigotry Shielded by Religion & the First Amendment...
Baron Samedi replied to Shinken's topic in General Discussion
God. Do we really have to go through this again? Are you being forced to go to their site? No. If you don't like it, don't go there. Question: How ******* simple is that? Answer: Very ******* simple indeed. I don't see any problem here. They're allowed to do it and they have their own opinion of you and your country. Who says you're not the bigot or the Nazi, supressing their right to express their own opinions? Did you think of that? What is the problem? You aren't being forced or coerced into going to their site... it is entirely a choice thing. I would never have heard of it if you hadn't told me about it. It is probably done by a bunch of losers or schoolkids with nothig better to do o the weekends. Dont' take everything so seriously, or, better yet, don't go. Same as the last one. People will be idiots. Which is why you need to ignore them and get on with your life. -
Me? I am currenty listening to 'Be Faithful' By Fatman Scoop. I originally saw the song on Rage, but it hadn't appeared on thehothits.com yet. So, today I come on and... Hurrah. It is on. I was so happy. Been listening to mainly it for a few hours now. I am thoroughly indoctrinated now. Fatman Scoop is a US DJ fella with the Crooklyn Clan. This song has an awesome beat, nice rhythm, all in all a very catchy, awesome song.

RPG Black Horizon [Rated R for Language, Violence, Heavy Gore, Sexual Perversion]

Ruben grabbed Tex by the arm and tugged. She let out a muffled gasp as her arm almost wrenched from it's socket. The two of them literally flew down the corridor. Tex drew her own pistol and checked that it was ready. Ruben let go of her wrist and waved her off down the left branching of the corridor. Taking the right, his feet were moving as fast as his pulse. Sweat was breaking out along his brow. Reaching yet another intersection, Ruben took the left. This seemed to lead in the general direction of the Engine Room. Over the steady slap of his feet against the grating, Ruben could hear voices. Hoping the thick material of his overalls would be smooth enough he thrust his legs out in front of him. Skidding along quote literally 'by the seat of his pants' Ruben's legs bent and then pushed. He easily stood, using his momentum. Aiming along the barrel of his gun, it took Ruben's mind a few seconds to comprehend what he was seeing. What the hell was this? -
Because... then some idiot will repost his lame thread thinking it disappeared. Or people won't be able to find out why it was closed. Unless you are blind, the padlocks are very easy to see. It isn't thathard. It isn't our problem. The current system has worked for ages. And it isn't exactly like they're cluttering up whole pages. Geez. Don't be so petty. Eh. To be concise- there isn't a problem.

RPG Brave Fencer Musashiden: Thirstquencher's Revenge [PG13]
Baron Samedi replied to PiroMunkie's topic in Theater
[ I feel left out :(] Ruben was lying in a corner of the room. He had his rugs unfolded and was using it as a pillow. His packs and equipment were strewn in a semicircle around him, providing a form of mental and physical barrier between him and the rabble. He was idly tossing his knives up and down, getting the tips to just scrape along the ceiling, and then catching each one on the crosspiece of the other. Presently a young girl came up to him, and stood there eyeing him. Eventually Ruben's concentration broke. Quickly twisting to the side, he distatefully eyed the handle of the knife, protruding from the wooden floor, where he had been reclining a split second earlier. Turning back to the girl Ruben let out a sigh. Ruben- what do you want? Melon- *extending her hand* My name is Melon. What is your name? Ruben- My name is Ruben... so.... uuh.. what do you think of this Hero guy? Melon- Kamikasai is his name. I think he can help us. I think we can beat the ThirstQuenchers. Ruben- Anything is possible. I suppose. Really, I don't have much else to do and there is something about this kid... I dunno. I have confidence in him, but .... I don't know why. Heart against logic. Bleh... Melon- Have some faith Ruben. However... I would love you if you could teach me how to throw knives like that. -
That first one is OK, but only that. The font is awesme, but I really, really don't like the little creature in it. It is ugly, and you havn't really done too much with this. It just doesn't, to my mind, seem to have the 'X' factor, something that makes the banner interesting, even in simple designs. I like this second one the best, it is very good. Quote is nice, font is nice, colours are good. One little thing- I would have made the background a little bit sharper, and his hair on the right kind of fades off. This third one... Just a clip of a face. Not even a good looking face lol. I don't really like it, those eyes give me the creeps. But, meh, that is just my opinion on things.

I get called... no, we'll leave them out. 1; Josh- go figure 2: wacko jacko 3: Squirt [mum] uuh. Thats it. How... exciting. I feel thrilled.
-
lol. Doesn't really look like much of a bunny... but it sure is cute. Good stuff. I love the colour. However, the avatar doesn't go with the banner- change the colour scheme I reckon. Very cute. I think it would be good accented with a dark-black border.

I'm making this up on the spot, in regard for Red Hot Chilli Pepper's new song. I dance in cornfields Wearing your clothes Dance in cornfields Like a scarecrow All the whole my fortune faded I sit in the street In the gutter I am sitting in the street Lookin' for my mother All the while my fortune faded I live for your love bask in it's glow I live for your love If only you didn't know All the while my fortune faded I wish for a life I lash out with the knife I yearn for your life Oh my, the strife All the while my fortune faded The red and blue I am in a queue The red and blue I'm gonna spew All the while my fortune faded The harsh stone walls I have no hope The harsh stone walls Oh for the mercy of the rope. All the while my fortune faded All the while my fortune faded Alas, my poor fortune fades. [Basic storyline. I made it up as I wrote. What do you think of it. Two people's opinions who I would value greatly are PT's and Mitchs' Just don't bleed all over the floor fellas]

Hmmm. I will need braces. My jaw is wonky. First of all, a few years ago I had plates to lengthen and widen my lower jaw and to restrict my top one. Now I will ened braces to move my jaw over and make it longer again. Bleh. Do braces hurt? I'm scared. Apparently my condition is a retrognathic jaw. Sorry for you man... I hope that maybe I'll stay dumb and not get wisdom teeth. lol.

RPG Black Horizon [Rated R for Language, Violence, Heavy Gore, Sexual Perversion]
Baron Samedi replied to Corey's topic in Theater
As they were heading through the rooms section Ruben tapped Tex on the shoulder. 'I just want to head into my room and grab something, OK?' 'Sure' she nodded and leant against the wall, ready to wait. Ruben went into his room, rummaged around in a drawer and pulled out his mp3 player. Coming out he grimaced slightly and waved it at her. 'Sorry, but music always calms me down'. Ruben hooked the earclip over his right ear and turned it up nice and loud... yeah that was it. Heading back to the radio room with Tex, Ruben called Chubbs over the system. No response, just the faint hiss of static in his ear. Hurriedly turning his music down, Ruben tried once again. From the snarl of the static Ruben faintly heard three words. Gravity, Engine, Room. Swearing, Ruben turned away frm the table and ran out of the room. As Tex followed uncertainly, Ruben was yelling into his speaker -
I am so freakin popular, that I'll never get voted out. Name: Ruben Thorne Age: 31 Description: Tall, dark haired and swarthy skinned. At the age of 4 he suffered from an extreme bout of pox. His face is pockmarked and scarred. His unruly black hair is slightly curly at the very tips, but he mainly wears it short in an army-type skin-head style. He wears denim pants, which were originally black, but are now a faded grey colour. He wears a black cotton shirt, and a black Ripcurl jumper. He wears a pair of cheap sneakers, which he bought brand new. He has a scraggly black beard, and has had his nose broken at some time in his past. Very muscular, he has an overbearing presence... people fear him. Bio: He grew up, and had a normal life. Nothing particularly interesting, however he was in the school Rugby team. Responding to an advertisement, Ruben attended his audition set and was deemed worthy. So, he has packed his bags and is off to the house. Ruben is loud, brash and cocky. Your perfect catalyst.
