Ah yes, I heard about that. They're not sure if it's him though, or so I've heard. Unconfirmed reports they are. Sadly, it doesn't necessarily mean the war is over. At least we apparently have him though.

*bows down before you as any good manslave should* Mistress, I am honoured to see your work. Personally, it doesn't appeal so much to me. It is Ok, but... something about it I just don't like. Probably the font. Good stuff though- I like the message. One question though... why would Snape make a bad hobo? He already looks like one.

Yeah, TVE. wristcutter's post was in sarcasm, and was quite good... IMO anyway. However, down to your posting.
Originally posted by TVE Anyway, as for your other point, about that finding people are innocent after they are all ready dead. Well, in cases like those I'd just say that there must be enough evidence to prove that person's guilt before they could be put to death. Now, in my scenarios, the people are guilty no matter what, so there would be enough evidence to put them to death. I didn't say anything that would involve putting anyone innocent to death. It wasn't that hard to comprehend. Thank you.
Juries can be mislead, evidence can be wrong or botched, innocent people may have no alibi. Yet you say they are guilty? That seems like crap to me. "Well, in cases like those I'd just say that there must be enough evidence to prove that person's guilt before they could be put to death". Just because there is enough evidence to convict them, does not mean they are guilty. Do you think the death penalty is taken lightly? It isn't... it is a very well thought over sentence. Only when a person is convicted beyond all doubt is it employed. However, **** happens. Check my other posts for details on innocent murders. Take for example, a famous case. The Chamberlain case. To cut a long story short, they were convicted for murder. A few years later she was released- new evidence came up, and it appears that the whole trial was a big mess. It was hopelessly botched and biased. Your post also said that if a drunk/stoned person kills another in their car, they should be killed. That isn't entirely fair. Perhaps a 40 year jail term, but take their life for an accident? Man, thats harsh.

Really, they aren't very funny. Good work with them, they just don't strike me as humourous. Maybe they would if someone told me what the deal is with the 'All your base are belong to us'. No-one has ever told me, so I frankly don't get it. Nice work, but the humour escapes me.

Art Mac Attack Banner Missing Something
Baron Samedi replied to The Mac Attack's topic in Creative Works
*gasps* I like it. Good work.. I agree with the missing something though. I think... maybe a rotating circle or other such shape within the black and white band, in the top left corner. Have a diamond or a hexagon rotating. Or maybe a big one and a small one.. That would look very chic, and add the necessary eye-candy to even out the banner. Edit: Merry Christmas to you too Mac. Have a good one. -
RPG Black Horizon [Rated R for Language, Violence, Heavy Gore, Sexual Perversion]
Baron Samedi replied to Corey's topic in Theater
Part of Ruben's mind was screaming at him to turn back. Part of it was urging him further into the ship. And an outside part was calling to him... like a choir voice. The part urging him on spun him around, and he fired a burst of electricity from the shockgun down the corridor. But there was nobody there. However, now that he was facing this way, the voice urging him back, and the choir was louder. The Bladerunner all of a sudden seemd so much safer and wonderful than this. He broke into a jog down the corridor towards the Bladerunner. Abruptely he was wrenched around. All the money, this beautiful ship..... wrench The safety, the cleanliness..... wrench wrench wrench A scream from afar. wrench He sprinted towards the Bladerunner, a vague compehension dawning on him. This was the Event Horizon calling... it wanted him... it wanted all of them. Dead. -
Uuh. lol. Is it possible for James to change your email address? If so, get a new email and then James can send you your password.. if not.. Why don't you use one password for everything.. a password should be something you can remember.

If I may just add my point... I have a pretty good monitor, but lots of your Seasons Greetings fonts seem jagged, which I don't like. I am quite pleased with mine so far... I think it turned out pretty damn good. So far, my favourites would be Shinobi's and Piro's first one. Hope that y'all like mine.

RPG Bullets and Drugs: Volatile Mix [Language, sex references]
Baron Samedi replied to Baron Samedi's topic in Theater
Petir woke up, to see Stefan standing over him, shaking him roughly. "Get up you dopey dickhead" "What the fuck are you doing?" "Get dressed and ready to leave, A-S-A-P. There's a problem." Petir quickly cleared his mind of the dull fog of sleep. He sat up and glanced at his wrist-watch. 5:12am. Groaning he turned over, and promptly fell out of bed. Wrong side. Standing up, he kciked off the sheets, and grabbed his clothes. He headed into the ensuite and stood under the shower, for a whole two minutes. Hurriedly putting on his clothes, Petir grabbed his suitcase. No need to pack, he was always ready to leave. Leaving outside the doorway to his room, he hurried downstairs to the meeting room. The dons, and a few men were sitting around the central table. Petir immdeiatley tensed as he sensed the tension inside the room. Walking up to Merzeskey, Petir bowed low, and kissed the proffered hand. "Sir... I take it there is trouble.. something relating to last night?" "No, my son [È], however there is trouble of another kind. The Yakuza have sent for a shipment of cocaine, however our leaks inside their hierarchy have found that this is a subterfuge. Hidden inside the cocain crates is a vast shipment of weapons. A potential threat to our organisation is at hand. Together with Don's Merconi and Ottowelm" here he gestured to the two stolid looking men, "we have organised a group of our best operatives. Currently the shipment is crossing Africa via camel train. We don't know exactly where it is, but it is somewhere along the Nighandar trail. We need you to recover the shipment, and take it to the safest port...we have many operatives inside Dubliss so that'll be the place." Petir frowned. "How long is that Nighandar trail?" "About 900 kilometres long. We trust that the group of you will be able to find it along there?" Turning around, Petir looked for the first time at the group of people sitting there as well... so, this was the group. As they all nodded simultaneously, one person called out "Me for team leader" As a whole the group turned to look at ...... È- My son is not a literal term, merely a reference to the Mafia family ties. [OOC: Ok. All the Mafia people- construct your posts to the departure aboard a plane, we will land in Johannesburg. From there the 'trail' heads north-east, up to the land-bridge between Africa and Asia. Across China, etc. Yakuza operatives will find out about the leaks and send their own team to counter the Mafia. Neither team knows exactly where the shipment is. Now go for it!] -
RPG Bullets and Drugs: Volatile Mix [Language, sex references]

The trio were silent on the return trip to the Manor. As the ute turned into the massive driveway, Petir sighed. The adrenaline rush was wearing off... he wished the fighting had lasted longer. There was always a massive rush involved when you did an Op. Before he headed upstairs to speak to Merzeskey, Ottowelm and Merconi, Petir headed downstairs into the cellar. He threw the security tapes from the Police Station into the mini-incinerator there. Heading to his suite, he changed clothes, and headed upstairs. Jedgar and Rebecca were already there, changed into new clothes. The team delivered their mission report, each telling about their own part in the mission. Rebecca handed the tape over to the Don's, and they were allowed to retire for the night. Jedgar headed over to the American's wing, but Rebecca and Petir had to walk down the main corridor before the branching of the Russian and Sicilian wings. "Want to see what the Russian wing looks like?" Petir asked Rebecca suggestively. "No, I've never before been interested in it" she replied coolly "How about now then?" "I don't think so... good night" She waved a goodbye over her shoulder and headed down towards her rooms. Petir stepped into his room, biting his knuckle. Damn this woman was tough. -

Ruben hadn't heard anything. He was still in the loading bay. As he was preparing the equipment belts, his gaze kept on being pulled towards the air-lock door. Sam had guided them in, and now Ruben was just waiting for the others to arrive. Eventually, though he knew he shouldn't, he drifted over to the door. Activating the small computer, he checked the air pressure and gas content in the Event Horizon. 100% perfect. Spooky. Picking up a shockgun, he activated the airlock controls and opened the door. He breathed in in awe. A gleaming white corridor, interlaced with chrome lines stretched away. It was in pristine condition, brand new. And then all of his worries faded away... all he needed to do was commandeer the Event Horizon, and he'd be a millionaire when he got back to Earth. A beautiful ship.... so beautiful.... He went down the corridor, a dreamy look on his face. He thought he heard someone calling from behind him, but what did it matter? What a beautiful ship..... -
Haha. No, There is Ruben Senior [my character] and his son, Ruben Juniour. My first character before I edited. lol. Confusing, huh?!

I was merely referring to the lack of the word America in your original post... it is inanely obvious what you mean, but I was just striking at the overwhelming self... centeredness that you wouldn't even say America. There are other Presidentialities out there. I'm not bitter, just amused and annoyed by the occasional lack of thought. Don't worry though, I'm not really serious :) Also Drix, I believe that savante means wise-man, which isn't entirely correct if I understand the gist of your post. I don't know why everyone disses Bush so much... isn't that kind of like the irrational hatred of Britney Spears? I mean, he has made bad decisions. But it isn't his sole responsibility, it comes from his advisors as well. Give him a break- as Drix said everyone is a critic, and I'd like to see you running the country. Really, in a perfect world, in Utopia, people would vote for the person's beliefs and intentions rather than any form of physical or mental prejudice. EDIT*********** Hahaha Semjaza. Fair enough. However, idiot savante referrs to some mentally retarded people. Idiot meaning a person with no life or social skills, and savante being wise-man [in my interpretation]. Now though, people think the word idiot is offensive and have removed it, therebye calling them wise-men [or scholar by you] which totally defeats the meaning of the word. The stupidity gets beyond me sometimes .

I found this photo of a Polish... creature interesting. lol. The perfect embodiment of an abominable snowman. So, this thread shall be for posting up... strange pictures that somehow relate back to a christmas theme. I'd like to call this piece: The Snow-Beast of Poland

RPG Black Horizon [Rated R for Language, Violence, Heavy Gore, Sexual Perversion]
Baron Samedi replied to Corey's topic in Theater
Ruben swallowed carefully... this moment was too perfect to interrupt. Then, as he started to blush, Tex pulled back from him, and muttered something. Blushing profusely, she thanked him and left the room. Ruben sighed, and slumped down on his bed. Eventually he layed down, and fell asleep again. At 8:45 pm the alarms rang to wake them all from their slumber. Ruben rubbed his eyes blearily and stood. Hurrying into the showerrooms, he nodded greetings to Chubbs, before slipping into his shower cubicle. This time he chose one one the far side of the room from his previous experience. After his shower he headed into the mess hall where he gulped down some coffee. He checked his watch 9:23pm. Heading back to his room, he hooked up his shoulder rig and checked that the handgun was loaded. He patted the Beretta tucked into the waistband of his pants. Feeling well prepared he went to the armoury. Getting the equipment belts, he buckled his own on and hurried to the loading bay, where they would enter the Event Horizon. Looking up at one of the vidscreens, his gaze swept across a panorama of pristine blackness, the infinite reaches of space. And there, right in front of him. The Event Horizon. It was in pristine condition. He shuddered. It was coldy beautiful, but it's pritine condition was ruined by the malevolent hatred that it exuded. -
Name: Ruben Thorne Gender: Male Age: 32 Occupation: Racketeer. Essentially, a person who threatens others [esp. shop-keepers] with damage if no money is paid to him. Height: 243cm Birthdate: 24 August Birthplace: Sector 3 Specialties: Thieving and Strength Appearance: Tall, dark haired and swarthy skinned. At the age of 4 he suffered from an extreme bout of pox. His face is pockmarked and scarred. His unruly black hair is slightly curly at the very tips, but he mainly wears it short in an army-type skin-head style. He wears denim [do they have that?] pants, which were originally black, but are now a faded grey colour. He wears a black cotton shirt, and a wool-synthetic jumper. At some time in his life he found or acquired a long black trenchcoat. This has numerous, deep pockets in which he smuggles items, and any weapons or materials he may have acquired. He has black leather boots, which come up to around mid-calf level. He has a scraggly black beard, and has had his nose broken at some time in his past. Very muscular, he has an overbearing presence... people fear him. He makes a living as a racketeer, but hopes to escape sometime... Personality: Straight out aggressive. He is ruthless, and determined to get what he wants, but is not above wheedling, bribing and conniving. He will lie, cheat, steal and even kill to survive. He has no remore, and barely possesses a conscience. He is out there for himself, but has been known to work well in a gorup- if necessity demands it. He has a soft-spot for children, but he just really wants to leave. Sitting in a bar one day, he listened to a man, rambling on. Escape, a free world. Same old pipe dreams. But this man seemed different. Ruben followed him home.

The break between the yellow and the green was entirely purposeful... The green and blue side was there to illustrate the private side of the music... it contains a picture of a computer processor [the green part] and a wave-length area. This itself has text over it, to show lyrics. This side is more the private, personal experience of music. The red and yellow represents the group, trendy aspect. I had to alter the hand and the mixing table picture at school, coz I don't have the best program, but the rest of it... I magnified a gradual fade, and erased some parts which I overlayed over a colour-changed picture of a ship on the ocean. The ship doesn't relate to music, but all you can see of it is the clouds which I wanted for a... volume. The arrows and circles I thought should be there because they fitted in well with what I was after. The Z's though [they always looked like Z's to me] I got from another picture I found somehwre. I thought that typography was awesome, and so I copied it into my banner. I'm totally wrapped with how many responded... and I too feel that this is one of my better banners.

OK, Otaku Fitness Freaks. Beat This!!!

*Laughs nervously* In winter I play hockey. I do runs, but not much else. Last summer I did swimclub, swam about 1.6km a day. I hated it. This year I do nothing. I do Martial Arts, but that is one hour a week. I keep meaning to start doing some muscle activities, but I always delay it. I might start soon. But I'm afraid that you might have me beat. Plus I don't know how fast I can run. But when you're 14 trying to catch up with a 15 year old with legs almost twice as long as yours, before he gets through the full-backs and scores a goal, then you know the meaning of speed. I flog down the hockey field. -
No, unless we pass the vote to become a republic, then we will never even have a President. Oh, you're talking about America. Why didn't you say so?. Oh. There is nowhere else... Ok, no more cruelty. This stuff happens. Anyway... when the voters feel that the person in question is a good person for the job, then they should become President. Who cares what or who they are? If they are going to make a good President, vote for them. There will always be some bigots, misogenists, racists or homophobes who won't just on principle but hopefully the majority of the population could overcome their foolish prejudices and look at the person's feelings and ideas, rather than their skin, religion or sexual orientation.

I seriously need to move over east... yah, I live in the Great Downunda. Western Australia, Southwestern region. Fun fun fun, but not too far from Perth. Sidenote: Is your avatar in pain? A man capering aound on fire... hhhmmmm metaphor? Or crazy me trying to be a psychologist? -
Yes, the Mr. Men phase passed quickly... however this is much much better. Prepared to follow my naming reasons? Deep Swing is a band who made a song called 'In the Music' My bannner relates to music, and it's scene. So, here goes. Enjoy. Hopefully some poeple will see fit to comment this time. Most of my other launches were dismal failures.... someone once said that lack of replies in Art and Design meant your banner was either real crap, or real good. I don't know about that, but I'd love some replies.

I can see this going nowehere... but I've always wanted to visit nowehere, so it's all good.... Name: Ruben Thorne Age: 33 Weapon: Sabre. About 80cm long, sharp and pointed. Think a Moorish blade. Sex: Any time you wan.... male. Description: Unruly black hair, a pockmarked face and big arm muscles. He is quite short for a grown adult, only 1.54m tall. He wears a checkered green and black shirt, with tan pants and calf-length leather boots. Bio: He and his son were playing with 'War' with teddy one day, getting him to attack the toy soldiers, when teddy began beating his son and him over the head with a chairleg. Teddy then ran away, so, in the manner of all good, enterprising children, Ruben grabbed a rolling-pin and a saucepan and set out to find what had happened to his toys. Very soon his little legs got tired though, so he layed down to sleep.......Ruben found him, and took him home. As a big wave of pity rose in him, so too did a vast well of rage. His little boy was miserable and upset about his toys all leaving. So what did he do? He took his father's sabre off the wall, and headed off into the night, determined to find the perpetrator of this crime. All edited and changed. Hope this is better. I'm in the mood to stab and mangle a few toys. lol
