1. Haha. This reminds me of Captain Planet 'Earth' 'Wind' 'Water' 'Fire' 'GOOOOO PLANET!!' Haha. I still remember that. Anyways... me, I'd go for Platinum. I mean, the word... just rolls of the tongue. It is just a really smooth and crisp and awesome word. If I had to go for a more nature based element... Water. It sounds pretty, can be deadly, mostly calm and lazy, meanders, versatile. Yeah. Water. By the way, potassium catches alight in water. I found that so cool. *heads over to marina* Iyeh.. no more marina.
2. Stupidity. Both genders have their traits, good and bad. Neither is better. I havn't really noticed too much of this IRL though, nor online. It is an old-school thought, fading away. Especially with all those inequality laws being established.
3. Hhhmmm. I am afraid I don't really see anything... much in here. Lets go over your points... Humans are stupid: Absolutely. We are often ignorant and foolish and greedy and many things. Not always, but mostly. Morality is false: No it isn't. Morality is something different to everyone, morals are a persons own code of conduct, the way they do things, and the respect they have for others. Morality is real. Just changing between every person. Thats all. Morality doesn't exist in atoms: Correct. All morality is, is an intangible feeling, something individual. It isn't palpable, but neither is love. Are you denying love? Can atoms love? It is an abstract feeling. So what.. it exists, but not physically. By physical laws, atoms can have a measure of control over one another. Atoms can't have authority though.. thats stupid. Physical laws. Besides, only physical laws stop us from flying apart. Nothing to do with the atoms themselves. They don't have control over each other, they are manipulated by different atoms, with different properties. Of course what you're saying is true. Us 'fallible' humans, society as a whole, has constructed those morals. So what, it's nothing new at all. I knew this. Really... I don't quite understand what this is about... you have stated stuff that we already know, as some revolutionary theorem. Wow. Amazing. How can an atom do whatever it pleases? It is... inanimate. Kind of. It can make no choice, only react. Are you one of those Neo-Anarchist fellows?

5. As Ruben finished his conversation with Chubbs, an immense wave of relief washed over him. Now, for port... Port... left. That's it. Turning, he hurried down the corridor, rubber soled boots pinging slightly on the metal grating. He found the puncture, and plugged it up. Now he only had to find out where everyone else was hiding. Heading towards the Mess Hall, Ruben wiped his hands on the rough fabric of his overalls. Back then, things had been getting worrying. And what a coincidence that the storm happened just after he found out about the ship... shivering slightly, Ruben dismissed his foolishness, and continued down the hall, albeit in a more hurried fashion.
6. Yes, once again my name for this is misleading. So, follow my convoluted naming reasons. Eden=Adam Adam= 1st man Man=Men Men= Mr. Men So, here it is, the big launch, Baron's new facade for the Boards... MR. MEN! Now sit back and enjoy my stuff. Oh, crit welcome. It isn't a great banner, but I wanted Mr. Men.
7. Name Haha. I'm a Wario! Reason I chose-a myself, because-a love gold so-a mucho mucho. ALmost-a as much as a challenge! Heehee! I will surely find-a some gold-a in this portal.. maybe it lead to a gold-a wolrd-a! You-a think too maybe? Yes? Wario no-a have photo of self-a yet. Go get film, be back soon. Yes, soon. Here-a is-a the photo for you. Wario look-a very good-a in it, no? Bio Wario is a cousin of the Mario Brothers and a brother of Waluigi. He has been jealous of Mario's popularity ever since he they were boys. During Mario's adventure in Super Mario Land, Wario took over Mario's castle on his own island known as Mario Land and sealed it off with the 6 golden coins. Mario retrieved the coins and threw Wario out of his castle. But Wario, being the persistent guy he is didnt give up. He wanted his own castle more than ever before. One day Wario was practicing being mean when he heard that the Brown Sugar Pirates of Kitchen Island had stolen the giant gold statue of Princess Toadstool. Wario knew that Mario was looking for it, but he thought "If I could find it first, I could cash it in for a princess' ransom. Then I could buy a palace that is way bigger than Mario's pathetic excuse for a castle." Full of confidence, Wario took off. He didnt even stop to think of how tough the Brown Sugar Pirates were. Their leader, Captain Syrup was known all over the world for being a really rotten and ruthless guy. Wario went all over Kitchen Island finding the pirates treasures and taking their coins until he met Captain Syrup at Syrup Castle. Much to Wario's surprise, Captain Syrup was a women. She rubbed a magic lamp and a genie came out and fought Wario. Wario easily defeated the genie and Captain Syrup. The castle exploded, revealing the gold statue of Princess Toadstool. As he was looking at it and thinking of all the money it was worth, a helicopter came flying through the air with a magnet. It was Mario! He took the statue and flew off with it back to the Princess's castle. Wario was speechless. One minute he was the world's richest man, the next Mario was getting all the credit for Wario's great deed. This didn't keep Wario down for long. He still had lots of gold, but now near enough for a castle. He then met the genie. He wondered if the genie would grant his wish. The genie told Wario that he would need to bring him some cash and he would give him a castle. Wario gave the genie all of his gold and all of the pirate's treasures that he had found during his adventure, and the genie gave Wario a wonderful castle. Then quiet morning, Wario was peacefully resting in bed. He was so tired from treasure hunting that he did not hear the brown sugar pirates sneak into his castle and steal all of his treasures. Wario's alarm clock woke him up and he found out that the pirates had stole his treasure. He vowed to get every bit of it back and then some more to go with it. So he made it to the new Syrup Castle and beat Captain Syrup again. He then took all his treasure back to his castle. He also thought on a way to get back at Mario. He knew that the Mario Kart cups were getting underway soon so he got a kart and even built his own racing stadium, which looked more like a dirtbike track. Wario then bought a set of golf clubs and joined the Mario tour in Mario Golf. He also played tennis on Mario Tennis. He went to Mario Party and Mario Party 2. He even convinced his brother Waluigi to go to Mario Party 3. Then one day Wario was flying his new plane. He couldn't believe it! It had been such a lovely day, with not a cloud in the sky, a perfect day for flying his plane. Then, without warning, his engine began to sputter and Wario crash landed in the woods. He spent the rest of the afternoon wandering amongst the trees and underbrush, muttering to himself about his miserable luck. Without looking where he was going, Wario stumbled right into a cave. Inside the cave, he found a music box, but no matter how much Wario wound it up, no song could be heard. "What's-a-this?!? It must-a be brok . . ." But before he finished, Wario vanished with a flash! Only the music box remained, right where Wario had found it. Wario soon awoke to very different surrondings, and it wasn't long before he realized he was inside the music box! A mysterious figure informed Wario that he had once ruled the world inside the music box, until an evil being sealed away his magical powers in five music boxes. Naturally, Wario wasn't too interested in this story . . . that is, until the figure promised to send Wario back to his own world and let him keep any treasure he found, if he'd only recover the hidden music boxes, thereby breaking the seal that had locked away the hidded figure's powers. Enticed by the thought of returning to his own world with a cache of treasure, Wario departed on his quest in search of the music boxes and the many treasures of this mysterious land. Thenn-a, one day, that little runt Mario, came-a up-a to me, and asked me-a to help-a him. I laughed-a HOHOHO. And-a then I thought about-a treasure. And I said-a "Sure-a Mario. I help-a you with-a these bad peoples. Righty-a" So-a, we go-a and get-a all-a the other peoples, and we gonna go frew portal and find-a gold-a!
8. Hhmmm. Personally, the orange one far outstrips the others. It is bright, eye-catching and suits the whole theme I feel. It defines the image, makes it slightly more realistic, and oh-so-more-fitting. Just because it [pink] is your theme, doesn't mean that a change isn't good and beneficial. By the way, time for some advertising... My new facade for OB will be activating in... 6 or 7 hours. Prepare for a surprise.
9. Drix... it is wonderful to see you back. Where have you been hiding?
Originally posted by Drix Not a very fair assumption, Baron. Considering the fact said mother could not conceive a child by her lonesome. Men, biologically can become just as attached to offspring as much as a mother (thanks oxytosin.) Consider this: you and a significant other have purchased a car? you both pay equal share?s on it, but she drives it the most. After a few months of driving the car, she considers it a liability and throws it out. Not very fair , would you say? Then again, we aren?t talking about property, we are talking about a human life.
I see what you are saying... but technically, the baby at this stage is a growth, an offshoot of the mother. People have an ultimate right to control over their bodies. As such, you can say that only the mother has the right to abortion. I completely agree that the father can get attatched as well. I do not suggest that abortion should take place without both parents full approval, what I do suggest however, is that the woman's feelings can be percieved as more important than the man's. Afterall, it is her body. If they discuss it, and the Dad wants abortion, the mother doesn't, abortion should not occur, because it is her choice. Vice versa too. I am not saying it is right, but at the same time... It is just a borderline issue. It depends who you are, how you feel and what experience you have had with it. Abortion should be limited to certain cases... it should be viewed on an individual basis. What we really need however, is some form of legal abortion, and some authorative body to govern the guidelines and entrance criteria for it. Decisions should be made as partners, but the woman's right to control over her body should be absolute. Like a Constitutional Monarchy. The constitution [partners] should make all the rules, however in times of duress [pregnancy], the Monarch [woman] should be able to take the reigns of power [abortion choice].
10. Ruben was literally wading through a sea of human bodies. Their stinking, grimy hands clung to him, as his piledriver arms lashed back and forth. A large, grubby man, obviously drunk, came charging up to Ruben, weilding an old, rusty sword. Drawing his arm back, Ruben let fly, slamming his clenched fist into the man's face. Seeing as Ruben's fist was about the sime size as the man's head, the guy had no chance. His skull turn to jelly as his limp body slammed into the wall. Then an idea came to Ruben. Grabbing a random unfortunate, he swung the man around, grunting with the effort. Bodies went down. Ruben's bloodlust went wild. He felt release of the anger.
11. Ruben swore. The damn technician had run off. Prowling the corridors, wary for any pressure drops, Ruben heard a voice coming from the area of the cells. Heading into the room, he saw one of the crew... Tex her overalls said. She was looking around, intently talking into her headphone. Pulling his earphone out of his front pocket, he jammed the bud into his ear. There was no voices, just static. Then Tex turned around, and went straight past him, as if she never even saw him. She ran off down the corridor speaking into her earpiece. Ruben's crackled with silent static. What the fuck was going on here?
12. Ripping open the protective plastic wrap from the pack, Ruben grabbed the gun-shaped object from inside. Now, this was something that he could work with. Judging from the pictures inscribed on its side, it was some kind of material that plugged holes. Simple enough... right? Still following Arthur, Ruben skidded to a halt. Running past an intersection, he felt a small breeze tugging at his overalls. Racing down the corridor, Ruben looked all around, searching for the source of the mysterious breeze. And then he saw it. A small hole, with jagged edges, the pressure of the air whistling slightly as it ran over the metal. Skidding along on his knees, baseball style, Ruben jammed the barrel of the caulking gun into the hole and pulled the trigger. Nothing happened. Then he realised, and, depressed the safety switch. A thick, grayish liquid oozed out. Almost instantaneously it plugged the gap and sealed. Scrambling to his feet, Ruben headed back towards the first corridor. Where had that damn technician gone?
13. Ruben swore. So this was what the big deal was about. He wasn't here to keep the quacks under control... he was there to help rescue some hellish ship. Holy fuck. Not a good day. And now a meteor shower. Just his luck. Following the others to one of the inset wall panels, he grabbed an oxygen mask and a technical kit. Which, on second review, was probably a pretty useless thing to do considering he had no fucking idea what to do with one. Running after Arthur, he grabbed him by the shoulder. "What the fuck am I supposed to do?" Pursing his lips disapprovingly, Arthur looked at him "You mean you don't know how to use these?" "No" "Follow me then" Ruben followed Arthur and some chick down the corridor.
14. Ruben felt uncomfortable. These men were, without a single doubt, trouble. The leering looks that some of them were directing in the groups directions were unsettling enough, without the generally unshaven and rough appearance of them. Leaning over, Ruben muttered to Aidian and Johannas in a low voice "Be prepared for trouble. I'm not liking this at all..."
15. Ok.. to answer any questions that have cropped up here... It is modern time period, around 2004. Everyone except Inuyashagurl_15 is in, good sign-ups all. 16.
Originally posted by Epid3mic Whether they have different levels of emotional maturity or not, they go hand in hand. In other words, if you aren't emotionally mature to have a baby, don't have sex. It's not that difficult a notion, in fact, it's constantly being preached in schools these days. I mean, come on, the whole biological act of sex is to concieve a child! Condoms and birth control have truly spoiled the youth of today.
I was referring to emotional maturity levels there James. Sex is primitive, you don't need to be emotionally competent to have it. Thats what I was talking about there. Heh.
17. Here is an edited version of your cloud banner.. hope you like. Anything you want different... ask me.
18. The choice of abortion belongs solely to the mother. If she was murdered, this guy should also be charged with the death of her son. It is nothing like abortion, because the supreme and only right to abortion resides with the mother. And the sex-drive is primitive. It is basic, and un-refined. Sex itself is sometimes a loving thing, but the actual act stems from a primitive way. There is no other way, but it is still primitive. It is a base instinct to reproduce, therefore it is primitive.
19. Yeah.... and if she had aborted, you wouldn't have the sister, and it wouldn't bother you, and you could quite possibly be a pro-choice person. Your sister made a choice, and that is up to her, which should be the case with all non / abortive cases. Or, on the flipside, is abortion allowed in your State? Maybe she merely was not allowed to abort. 'What if's' do nothing. Of course you can't imagine life without your sister. But, if she had been aborted/ not conceived.. you wouldn't be able to imagine having a sister. And if you could, you wouldn't care. ****EDIT*****
Originally posted by scrmngfangrl oh yeah, the dude on that talk radio show was talking about how these pro abortion people were getting all upset because they said laci petersons baby was also murder, saying it was just like abortion an stuff
Could you extend this please? You seem to be saying that Pro-Abortionists are upset over an abortion. Which makes no sense.
20. Sex is more than just pregnancy James, I agree completely. However, the levels of emotional maturity required for sex, are an incredibly large amount less than those required for looking after a child. People should be responsible. I am talking about abortion for unwanted, unplanned, accidental pregnancies. If you're not careful, there should be some punishment due, for sure. However... in some cases, it might be better for all involved to have the choice. Also, I completely agree with Transtic Nerve. The trimester thing, and all that.
21. Sorry James, I should have made my point more clear... Sex originally stemmed from a primitve way of life... well, duh. Pregnancy is also instinctive, as is caring for the child. However, people say that sex is an emotionally mature thing, which it is/isn't [at the same time]. However, we must bring sex and pregnancy into the present. Sex is still mainly a primitve thing... thats why the stereotypical guy is so anxious to have sex, whereas the female looks more for someone who will stay and support her. Sex is a base instinct, even in the present [it also comes under more advanced things but...], but pregnancy has changed since the past. Now, you need to be emotionally mature to fully look after a child. Pregnancy is a thing requiring maturity, whereas sex isn't. I was just refuting some statements above, thats all. I know sex requires maturity, but it also doesn't. You can have sex without being mature, but you can't look after a baby without being mature. Adoption is good, but it doesn't always work, it isn't for everyone. Basically, the decision should be up to the couple, but more specifically, the female. ********Edit****** Bloodsin. How profound you are. Profoundly stupid at that. It is simple to be philosophical, but make it apply, and make it worthwhile my time, please.
22. My goodness. What a glorious little ants nest I have stirred up here... Ok. wristcutter: I have never been in that position. Which I am sure you realise. That post you quoted... I said that others should just be accepting of other people's decisions. I also said at the beginning of my post...
I am only 14. Sure, maybe I would feel differently if it was my child.
Which makes you point there totally irrelevant. I am not in that position. I will also never be in the female's unique position. Sure, as a male, having a pregnancy with someone affects you, but not nearly as much as a woman. I feel that others have said it in the best possible way: Who are we to decide what others feel. Pro-choice gives you the right to decide what you want to do. If they make abortion completely legal, than this gives us a choice. If you dislike abortion, don't abort. If you wish to abort, you can. It gives you the choice to do as you want. What right do any of us have to tell someone else what they can or cannot do with their property or their body? By stating that one is pro-choice all we are doing is saying that they deserve the choice in the decision. ----- Also, might I add... Sex doesn't need to be emtionally mature. It is a primitive instinct and urge. 500 years ago, I am sure that everyone who 'got it on' was not necessarilly ready for it. Because we live at this time period, sex becomes something emotionally mature? Right... Whatever. You may say that having and caring for as baby is also instinctive. I mean, when the baby cries, the mother's breasts are actually stimulated to produce milk. It is a fact. A babies first instincts and senses are there to help them fix on their mother and learning from other objects in the world. But, in the here and now, where you are trying to place sex, you must also place having a baby. It costs money, we aren't always ready for it, and it is harder- what with jobs etc. Sex is primitve, whereas looking after a baby is a mix. Therefore sex and having a baby are two different things in maturity levels. ---- Also, would you persecute women in Africa over female genocide? They commonly kill their children [female children] using the most horrible means, to make life better for themselves, and to save the child the indignity associated with life in that area. Of 8000 abortions in [some year], only 1 of them was male. And think of the countless of other muredred in the rural areas. It is their culture, we can not judge them. ----- They have a choice, and so do we. And that choice should never be restricted by others, as every situation is uniqe.
23. Ruben was kind of drifting, paying fuck all attention to the people. I mean, if he really gave a shit about who they were, he'd just look at their name-tag. All he had to do was keep them from scratching out each others eyes in an argument about atomic properties. What a boring mission. However, some of the people seemed a bit nervous about it. Maybe it was just their first time in space. However, that Comunications chick sitting at the table was a fine piece. I mean, just sitting there, doing her nails at the introduction, Jesus. Then he grinned... she was the one who had come out of the room with Chubbs. The lucky bastard. He sighed enviously, still grinning.
24. Ok fella's, good stuff all. So far you are all in, excepting Inuyasha gurl who I shall decide when she posts up all her information. I was originally talking about the Russian Mafia [which I should have specified], but in this case, international co-operation will take place between the Sicilian/American ring and the Russian Mafia.
