I'm feeling really let down.. you forgot all about me, and I am feeling really upset and hurt.... This one is for the anime section and this one is for the random/life section. *sniffles pitiably*

Ooh, goody-ness and all! I have no clue what they are, but they look very very cool. My favourite would have to be... Middle, then right, then left in that order. All good, but what aexactly are they suppsoed to be? I love the feel and look of them though.. how do you make them? I have a sub-par program though, so mine probably doesn't do it -.- Heh. Good stuff. 8/10 for the piece, varying ratings for colour used.
-
Heh... what I meant James, was to a state of perfection, where you are happy about the banner. By saying that you didn't really like them and had rushed them, you obviously hadn't done that. And no, I've heard of the font Copperplate, but never of Copperplate. I'm in year 9, rural Australia. Don't blame me... ~_^ I like that Sentinel one. Tis a good piece. Nice picture, cool effects, plus I just luuurve the Sentinels. It also remains with [what seems to be] your typical style. I really like this one.
-
Hhmmm. They're OK. may I ask why you made them so fast though? It's better to perfect each one before putting them up. Anyway... I don't particularly like them. Maybe I'm just bad like that, but I feel you're drifting away from your original style. Expanding horizons are good, but I really liked your old style. And these detract from it. 5/10 and 6/10 respectively. Also, the font is really hard to read... what does that word say?
-
Aha, sorry James. What I meant was that it was worse by societies distinction... I know that the actual thing is worse, but the.... Arrggh. I don't know what words to use. Somehow, society views both with contempt, but being gay and getting AIDS is viewed as worse than having teen sex and getting pregnant.
-
Haha, Sara, good stuff. The pictures are definitely cute, but I don't really know much about Sailor-Moon. Seen, like two episodes ever. Heh. Anyways, I know the characters you chose for Disney... Snow White, Cinderella [my childhood fav!] Jasmine, Belle and Sleeping Beauty. I know you said you had problems with the art, but about all I could seriously find was their eyes. All the same and strange looking, odd and... scary. heh. But they have black with a white pupil.. it doesn't look animey or cartoony... So that is about all that I'm willing to quibble over. White with black pupils is the way of the future. lol Also.. what does ironic bubbles mean? Eh? EDIT- Sleeping Beauty has also recieved a black eye. Under her right eye is a bruise. The Prince is a wife-beater.
Orignally posted by rrtocs77 TN I think there is a big difference between getting AIDs and being a teenage girl and getting pregnant. At least you can get rid of the baby, you can't get rid of AIDs.
Actually, they are fairly similar... They both are unwanted, and both come from having unprotected sex. The actual problem is highly different, but we are looking at issues rather than specifics. TN was quite right... AIDS is a problem for homosexuals, like teen preganancy is for heteros. Of course there are differences, but there are also similarities. It is just something they struggle with. Yet somehow AIDS is worse than teen pregnancies... because the :cough: methods are different. How fair is that?

Ruben grunted, nay, snickered of a sort. The low, deep bass rumble echoed around the clearing. "You seem to have a... way with words, but the practicalities of the situation seem beyond your grasp... if you think that toothpick is really going to cleave my skull, penetrate my chest, and provide fodder for the vultures, then think again. You may be fast, but I don't think you'll be able to damage me that much. And, who says I want to fight.. I'll even let you live if you have food" Aidian scoffed "Hah... this toothpick of mine is sharp enough to split stone, let alone your skull. Any food I have is mine, and you'll not get a scrap, unless I deign to grant you some... fool" "So, your toothpick is worth something good, according to your claims. Split stone? Figuratively or literally? Because, the best of the Granite Fold mountains stands before you. All I wanted was some food. My third day in the forest, no food. Regular outbreaks of madness as my mind is tormented... and you claim to wish to kill me? My name is Ruben H'Rukbane hailing from the Granite-Fold mountains. I murdered an official in L'Estwere and several soldiers as well, escaping into the woods. That was three days ago.. but may I ask what you are doing here, or will your spirit be the only one left to continue your journey?" And then, as Ruben calmed himself, he felt it.. two small ripples in space, so small he hadn't felt them... one was something.. something evil. Dark, coloured like mist, or smoke. The other one was a yellow feeling, like butter... and they were both very near... Aidian must have felt it too, as he glanced nervously around the clearing.....

RPG Care Bears: Quest for Care-a-Lot [Rated G for intense cuteness]
Baron Samedi replied to Sara's topic in Theater
Funshine was running around, playing tag with Love-a-lot and Bubbly bear, when he bumped into Grumpy. "Why Grumpy, what is the matter with you? You look very sad... and it's sunny! Why so sad, the Sun is for Fun!" chirped Funshine in a bright, perky voice. "I can't find Wish bear or Tenderheart... and I really need to talk with them. It is very important" moaned Grumpy, looking very down and upset. Oh... well, how about we all help you? It'll be like a big fun game of hide and seek! But we all look for Tenderheart and Wish bear! Won't that be fun!" Funshine said, almost bursting with glee at the idea of a new game to play. "Not really" groaned Grumpy, becoming ever more down. Yes it will... it's sunny, a lovurly day, and we have a game to play... what could be better?" questioned Funshine enthusiastically. Love-a-lot, Funshine and Bubbly bear ran off to round up the others for a Hide-and-Seek game. Grumpy bear sat there and sulked until they all came back... [Hope this is good!] -
[You mind this Domon?] *crack* The sharp retort of a dried branch breaking echoed throughout the forest. Animals scattered. Swearing, Ruben slammed his fist into a tree. These damn forests were so hard to go through, especially without making a noise. Ogres were not really made for stealthy tracking, they were more suited to blundering. I mean, what kind of crazy fucker could possibly navigate through this trash? Someone a lot smaller than Ruben perhaps, but certainly not him himself. Ruben lowered himself to the ground and prepared for the third day without food. He gradually slipped into slumber... There they were, spread out for.. miles. No... more. As long as one could imagine as far as... as the world can be, surely. Green, blue, red, black, white, nameless colours, lines, ropes, threads, writhing in agony, as, one by one, dark patches spread. They formed everywhere consuming, covering converting, consuming........... ........ .. . Ruben woke with a start as his brain alerted him to the sounds of water... the tone of the waterfall had changed. It sounded fuller... [Due to their underground lifestyle, Ogres and Trolls have the ability to distinguish the 'depth' and 'density' of something by the subtle variations in tones as they knock on tunnel walls. Very useful for plotting tunnel routes.] Suspecting some form of prey, Ruben slowly go to his feet. Being extremely careful, he edged towards the location of the waterfall. Very slowly, and delicately, he picked his way around the branches. He edged closer to the pool, to see a...

Sign Up Matrix: Rebooted (Adult: Contains language, sexuallity, and violence)
Baron Samedi replied to Burori's topic in Theater
Haha.. I always wanted to be an Agent! Name: Agent Thorne Description: Designed as a rogue operative, Thorne appears a lot different to Agent Smith and other such Agents. However, he is still the same as them in manner... the skin changes not the program. Black spiked hair, long black trenchcoat. Plain black muscle top underneath. Dark faded denim jeans, relatively tight but un-restricting. Dark navy sneakers, Nike. Medium build, average height. Strongly muscled and lightning fast, Thorne was based around the 'Seriph' program, with personality alterations to suit continued allegiance to the Matrix only. Weapon: Carries a sniper rifle [think Cusack, Grosse Point Blank]. It is a Benelli Tactical 12 guage. Primary weapon is a swing-stock sub-machine Uzi. Hacks remove the need for ammuntion replacement equalling unlimited ammo. However, the barrel will melt if not given time to cool, so it only serves to not have to carry lots of magazines with him. The Uzi with swinging stock is perfect for storage underneath his trenchcoat. -

If you need an extra character anywhere [even for a sucker job] I'll be there... I'll be Hagar the Horrible I suppose, as that was my most common avatar. -
Haha. Good stuff Mac. As I mentioned before, i don't really know much about this stuff, however I really like the principle behind the work. It allows people to associate with the image, yet at the same time, draw something new from the alterations... now, down to your banner. Very good. Nice cropping, perfect text match [what font is it?]. It looks good, funky and very suitable. It shows us something we can relate to, yet at the same time, we draw something new from the altered image. Good stuff, 7/10 Aesthetics 6.5/10 technical.

hahaha. Hilarious. I'll go for it... Name: Funshine! [Cool name!] Colour: A beautiful, friendly green colour, with sunshine yellow highlights. Symbol: A large smiley-faced sun, wearing a black tophat. Stereotype: A very caring carebear, Funshine loves to gambol happily in the clouds, and can't stand to see anyone upset.. after all, the sun is for FUN! [his personal cheer]. So, No Sad, No Bad, the Sun is for FUN so let's SHINE! It's our TIME! Feeling FINE! Hurraaaaaayyyy!

Ruben cursed in annoyance... this sticky mud was sapping his energy... the fields had been only slightly damp on his initial pass through, but now, as he was in a hurry to get back towards the keep, it was slowing him down.. it was a mire. Roaring in anger, he wrenched himself out of the muddy area. Running towards the keep, Ruben was struck by a sudden nonchalance.. it didn't matter. If the stuck up little creature gave him trouble... he'd pay for it. As Ruben leisurely strolled into the first of the alleys for clean-up after break, a small creature came charging towards him, screaming. It lashed out with a whip, and caught Ruben on the ear. "Where the fuck have you been, you big dumb ogre, you're half a driscoll [about 1hr and 15 mins] late? You're gonna get a serious ass kicking, I'm gonna have your ass up in front of the Lord, you're screwed this time, no guiding permit for you." Calmly, without realising what he was doing, Ruben grabbed the creature by it's beard and swung it around... the pressure on the dwarf's jaw was too much, it broke, then slipped out of it's sockets. The skin ripped, blood fountained, and the dwarf's body slamnmed into the wall of the inn. Throwing the mangled jaw onto the ground, Ruben left quickly, before the guards were alerted. He headed for the South Gate, hoping to escape into the forest. He was challenged by the guards, but they didn't attack. He kept getting closer, closer, and they were backing away. Whirling, Ruben lifted an empty wagon and threw it straight at the guards. Caught too close together, they were trapped beneath it. One had avoided the misfortune and suffering of his companions, and left in a hurry, doubtless to gather some re-inforcements. Ruben stalked out of the gates, avoiding the fearful gaze of the peasants. He headed off into the forest. OOC: I am kind of envisioning a three way meeting, after Raiha and DeathKnight's fight... but if that cramps your style, I'll just do something different. It can be the same forest as yours, or if you wish otherwise, a different one.

Heh. Surely PT, you have a talent for humorous stories... however... some parts of it [purposefully I believe] sounded really... awkwardly put together, yet in other areas the vocabulary shocks... it is a very fresh mix of 6 year olds, and adult's writing. Good stuff. 8/10. Whats the secret weapon?

Wandering aimlessly through the country-side, Ruben noted the sun's position in the sky. Midday break was almost over, and he was soon due back to the keep, shovelling out the latrines. His inititial enthusiaism for the job had worn off. People avoided him [whether his smell or features] and his superiors were arrogant little stuck up dwarfs, with no necks, and plaited beards. Ruben was already waiting for the day he could swing one of them around by it... but Ruben feels odd. He feels... angry almost. Angry at the world, at everything. The earth lines [magnetic fields] are not right, there is something changing. Lately they have been moving, twisting, as if they were in pain. If they could speak, Ruben is sure they would be screaming. As a troll/ogre cross, Ruben has acquired that gift of the trolls, the ability to... sense the lines that cover the whole world. Right now though, the lines seem to be driving him crazy. He feels annoyed, the lines are eating away at his patience, swinging his normally placid mood. The blood rises, it consumes, it lusts. For other's blood. Especially that fat little head dwarf.... Taking his anger out on a sprite [think messy endings...] Ruben found a temporary release. Then he almost cried... he'd just killed something... it didn't matter that it would re-incarnate back at it's natural spring, he... had killed the little bastard for a reason. The moodswings were volatile. He headed back towards the keep, break was almost over. Looking forward to this RPG Raiha!!

Ahah... man, I must say, your work is stunning. Not much to say... cool picture, good font, lovely background... however, the one thing that annoys me about this picture is... Around Vash's face region are a sprinkling of tiny red dots. They look bad and ruin the effect, IMO. Not sure if they are accidental or placed there, however, I really don't like them. I think your picture is good, you have mastered the background, and I will definitely look forward to more of your work. Aesthetics: 8/10 Technical: 9/10

I have Deja Vu.. regularly. I used to have it almost every other day, but I haven't had it for a while now. I get it from dreams, or I'll just remember doing something, before I've ever done it. Hah. I think it is reall cool and... fun when it happens, and will generally say 'Deja Vu' whenever it does. Speaking of the Matrix.... I'm off to see Revolutions today! ^_____________________________________________^ haha.

Good point there, I missed that ^^;; Here is the edited version then, all better now. What do you think of the avatar as well?

Ahah... I seem to sense something.. perhaps a return of the dreaded n00bs and...
1337 attackers? 0|-| |V|Y G0|)
Hehehe. Or maybe I woke up too early this morning... And please, please, give my deepest sympaties to the poor OtakuBot. I feel so sorry for him. -
I like that Konohamaru one, nice picture, clean and crisp, and a good background. Bad point for this one? It is very hard to read the word 'Dragon'. 'Bang'... this image and components are good, but that text... it is jagged and, whilst I think the colours are all right, the text looks pretty bad and amateurish. Also, the border doesn't seem equidistant on all sides, and there seems to be some colour blurring into the border gap. That Inuysha banner of yours is great... one of your best, IMO. Nice colour scheme, awesome image, great cropping. Two disses though... the font border... it is all jagged, and it doesn't look smooth. Smooth, clean line are important.. even if you do the fonts really big separately, and then make them smaller to disguise the jagged edges... it just looks bad. Also, the 'Dragon' down the side is very difficult to see. Now for that banner you didn't like the scheme on...Hhhmmm. Good picture, good layout, bad colours and bad text. It evens out to make this a 5.5/10 banner. Change colours, change text. You don't need to make millions of banners, what you need, is to take more time on each one, refining it.
Well i do agree with you the font really didn't fit and the bar was weird, I had to finish it before i had to go to school, so i was in a rush.
This just proves my point. Do banners for yourself, not for us... you don't need to produce lots often, just good ones when you can. Now onto that awesome Hellsing one... I love it. Never seen any anime, but that banner is awesome. Better text, great backround, good image. And your overall layout is good. Legato... Iyeh... Cool background, nice picture HORRIBLE TEXT! You see? Try different fonts, experiment until you find a better one that that. even plain Arial would be an improvement on that jagged thing. Your banners are generally good, however your text is horrible and a let-down to the overall high quality of your work.

hahaha. I did change my desktop... much better. A nice Matrix theme, with Olive green menus. Good stuff. And that thing at the bottom, with the play buttons? That is my wonderful Windows Media Player, colour coded even, to my theme. Good stuff, all. Matrix Revolutions is what I'm going to see on Sunday. haha. I'm looking forward to it.

I think the media shoulg go shove itself. No, really. If it was just a normal person, than there would be one two minute article on the news. Or less. However, because he is a celebrity and easy target, he is blown up to gigantic proportions. There isn't really much evidence, and everyone knows that shrinks will make anyone get confused [:p]. Hah. If he did it, he should go to jail. If he didn't, than this should never have happened. His skin colour, Neverland... who cares? Neverland... a children's fantasy, a themepark, named after a Fantasy land. A dream... what is so amazing about it? It symbolises childhood and dreams. Sure, he is eccentric, maybe too close to children. But that alone shouldn't make him a media target. If he molested a child... then he should be sent to jail to rot. That is sick. If he didn't... well. It would be a good mark to counter all the bad one's others have scored off him.
