I immediately assumed you were a newbie when I read this thread name... lol I don't really know them (the band) but I like your layout. The red is a nice shade, the picture is good, the fonts are good, the white text is easy to read. It all looks really good- nice job. Not small, so easy to read, but it doesn't take up the whole screen either. A very proficient job. I give it an 8.5/10 rating.

Letting political opinions affect relationships
Baron Samedi replied to wrist cutter's topic in General Discussion
Dumping the perfect partner (or even a good one) for petty opinions? If people were not so easily inflamed and scared by other views, they would realise that it doesn't matter if they have other views... I would marry a Christian/ [insert alternative opinion here] if I loved them. Maybe not if they constantly forced their viewpoint on me, but if we discussed it on occasions that would be fine. If people didn't try to cram their opinions down others throats, then there wouldn't be a problem. Also, if people weren't so up themselves to think that the other person is bad for having a different view than them, that would help the situation. So: Yes, I would want to be with a person, regardless of their opinions on subjects, on the proviso that they didn't try to force me to agree with their views. -
I like it. You did a good job with it. I liike how you did the bathrrom theme- You could have made the grid look a bit more like tiles though I think. Nice job however, it looks good. 8/10

I have a thing with my imagimnation- a lack of control. One thing that most people probably get is a song stuck in their head (very annoying when you are trying to sleep) but I have another example. Imagine a bike, OK? Now Pretend you are riding it along, but your POV is the bicycles pedals. Try to imagine the bike braking i.e. The feet pushing backwards on the pedals to brake. I can't imagine that, without tensing my leg muscles. I can not make the bike stop without tensing my leg muscles. I do not know why this is, but I somehow need to use my legs to stop the bike, even though I am imagining it. Try this: Does anyone else have this kind of imagination control problem? Can you do it without moving your legs or anything else?

Stupid things you thought of or did when you were young
Baron Samedi replied to DragonArcher's topic in General Discussion
*Laughs at Asuka and Sara* You guys sound cute as little kids. *laughs* Stupid things I have done....... tried to tackle another guy who was about 3 feet taller than me in touch rugby.... not listened to my mother often enough (lol. They always know best... mostly).... Eh. I am sure there are many others to draw on as well. -
Welcome to OB. UUh. That was a good starter- you put a lot of effort into your introduction post... but they aren't actually allowed any more and are considered spam. Nice meeting you- welcome to OB.
Originally posted by PoisonTongue Wait till you have ME as your instructor. You think detention was bad? How about reading Beowulf in Old English? Or, perhaps...The Canterbury Tales in the original Middle English. You haven't had sadistic instructors until you have me. I'm the kind of teacher that students are either going to love or hate. I'll force you to read Gilgamesh...out loud in front of the class.
And you wonder why we all love you sooooo very much. *commisions Mei to make him a PoisonTongue plushie* Seriously, at least your students would be good....

Debo ahora parar.
Here is a translation for you poor suckers who don't [strike] use a web translation sevice[/strike]..... speak Spanish fluently: It decided to type this entire post in Spaniard. I speak Spanish very well because my professor utilized the method of teaching known as TPRS. Almost I can draw on multiple words without the thought due to my of the class. Very I am thanked for the fact that have been able to learn the tongue therefore has helped myself in my school. Will also help me in my career. Now I should stop. ..... I left it in the original mode of speech, so you people who don't understand the mechanics of Spanish sentence formation may learn from my example. As you can see, I study Spanish heaps (Eh...). In Primary school, and year 8 I did Japanese, but I didn't enjoy it very much. So now I don't learn any languages. (Excepting Spanish. Heh.) Drix- Usted es un showoff. Pare hablar en lenguas- usted Diablo usted.

School isn't supposed to suck. People with bad attitudes and nasty teachers make it so. But some advice... Don't buck the system, unless you want to be crushed. And punished. [strike]By girls with leather whips[/strike].... Uuh, by teachers with detention. Go with the flow. Does it really matter? Don't make trouble for yourself- you will regret it.

*pops TheGodlyME's creative spirit with a spoon* *eats with marshmallows* Sorry to do that to you *eating sounds* I think that Harry, PT etc. may be quite right. It is highly possible the teacher never even read your work. Lazy people are not uncommon ~_^. However, if you would either tell us how you related an anime to Health, or give us a transcript of your work, or both, then we could have a much more rounded assessment. I have spent 2 hours or so on a 2 week project, and wrote a whole ton of stuff about a novel that I didn't really feel, and got top marks for it. Sadly, life is a lot about what people want to hear. As long as something sounds like you know what you are talking about, you will probably do OK. It is good to say what you think, but sometimes you need to say what others think... understand me?

Eh. My mum doesn't know enough about computers to do that. Heh. Easy to bypass anyway. I admittedly have gone on a...dirty site, with my friend, ages ago. It was... Hhhhmmmm. I didn't like it, and have never gone back to one since. Anyone who relies on that kind of stuff needs a life *looks at IRL friend*. It is pathetic. I suppose filters are OK, but it is no replacement for having a computer in an open living room. That would work better, one would think. Or parents could try to trust their children.
Originally posted by BabyGirl But they had every right to keep the parental controls on my account...yes...I wasn't always the most well behaved child.
I am shocked Baby Girl. Eh. Most disappointed in you. Heh.
Originally posted by Aki88 PS: please don't make any comments about us, Newbies. It has nothing to do with our writting.
Sorry, had to quote that. Heh. Some stupid fool had to make this thread. No insult intended Meteora. The Rising Sequence: I read this in Year 7, and I really enjoyed this. It was interesting- a fantasy story- but it really drew me in. I like books that make you forgetful of anything outside the book. LoTR: I read it all in one book. It drew me in. A very good read, the plot is awesome, everything is well done. I have many, many, many more. I am a semi-bibliophile. I used to read so much, but now I OB more. Heh. These kind of questions are extremely diffuclt for most book fanatics to answer, considering there are so many good books.

I agree with your points. The whole argument was that it would be unwise to go there without knowing any Japanese. Because English and Japanese are incompatible, you need to know Japanese words. Eh. That is all. If you go there not knowing any Japanese, it is unlikely you'll learn very much of it. Even James said that he learnt the language first, before expecting to be able to go there and use it. You can not expect to got there without any Japanese grounding.

I know that this is really old, but I am bringing it back because of Mitch's mentioning of it in the Human Minds thread in the Lounge..... Mitch. Eh. This is an...awesome story. I do not know what to say. It is creepy, and warped, yet.... good. A most interesting read. I would concur with most of Justin's reasonings. Mabe he killed those other two because they were there? I suppoise the only person who can answer this is Mitch. I liked it, even though, Quite frankly, it creeeped me out.

A little shindig eh? Cool. I want to come! In Michigan eh? [strike]Cool[/strike]... damn. I live in Australia. I would like to come though. If you'll buy me the plane ticket and pay all expenses. Heh.
