*blink* *blink* That is SO me if I was a plushie...Cute in a weird sort of way, yet quite disturbing. If you couldn't tell, I love it.

Okay, everyone's cried at some movie at some point(or at least gotten choked up), and everyone has their different reasons why. (Please use spoiler tags, because I'm sure a good amount of things here would be spoilers) As for me, the last movie I cried at was Donnie Darko(which, I think, is a movie everyone should see). The end was just so fitting, yet so depressing that I just started crying.

*shakes head* The Eva manga is not like the anime as much as you would think. They took out five angels, and there are a lot of changes in the storyline and characters. For example,
Toji dies instead of just being severely hurt, Shinji goes berserk in ep 19 because he sees the destroyed Evas 00 and 02, not because he realizes what he wants to do, Kaji has angst about a brother of his that died, Asuka is more 'the perfect girl', and
Rei fought Sacheil before Shinji. I don't really like the Eva manga, but the first three or four volumes are good to read if you can't afford the entire series, and want to get to the part in the anime where the plot really begins.

*gushes* The Downward Spiral is the only NIN album I own, but I love it to death...The thing that first got me into Nine Inch Nails was the music video for Closer. I beleive it was shown on MTV's Most Contraversial Videos, and I remember just watching it and going "Oh...my....god...Must get..." A week later, I bought the album. I love the songs on that CD. There seems to be at least one for every mood, and fitting my mood is what really makes me like a band.

Heheheh...It's called Ship Transfer, so I think it's some sort of synapse between two...pretty blue things. So, no, there technically is no ship. Or at least, I don't think so.

Woah... That's really, really pretty. I especially like all the blues. *stares at it more* *gets dizzy, faints*
Originally posted by GunMetal Some of us, including me, can't afford big fancy programs. And at this moment I can't really afford to pirate anything either. My personal folder is like 4 gigs. Thanks for the compliment?
*shrugs* The GIMP is a good, free program... ^_^ It's pretty good for MSPaint...Although I'm biased against that program...But also, you could try editing what you make in Paint in the Imaging program, if you want?

I used to fence. But then I realized that along with the 13-story school I went to, it was making my legs way too tired, and I had been sick for a while, so I didn't have time to get back up to everyone else's level. Plus, I didn't really like it anymore, so I ended up quitting.
Originally posted by aYokano May I ask a qustion? What is hentai and can you give some examples.I just don't know what it is.
I'm gonna be frank here, but I'm also gonna put it behind a spoiler tag because not everybody'll want to hear it. ^_^ oh, and don;t look on Google, because you'll probably find out in a very....disturbing way, to say the least.
K, basically, hentai is the anime version of porn. Some have "plots". And that's all I'm saying.
K..hope I don't get into too much trouble for that...:nervous:

I liked it a lot...Edward Norton did piss me off, but that was kind of the point of his character. Also, I think the car colors were just random. Red, white, and blue are pretty common colors for cars. Heheheh...I loved Seth Green's character though. He was really great. I was a bit "Eh" over the little bit of romance they had put in it, but it was much better than I thought it would be. Heh..."It was named Napster because I was napping when he stole it from me!"

Two of my favorites are the fight between Vash and
Knives, in the last episode of Trigun, (I love how pretty the Angel Arms look...)
and the last fight between Spike and Vicious in Cowboy Bebop. For mech battles, I'd have to pick in End of Evangelion where Asuka fought the military and
the MP Eva series
. I really love that scene...though I hate how it ends...

Writing Things you would not hear Cowboy Bebop characters say
Vertigo replied to Animefreakgirl's topic in Creative Works
(With apologies to Don Hertzfeldt) Spike: *takes out comb, tries to comb hair and fails* Mah hair is too thick... *Pause* Spike: Mah hair is too thick! *Ed walks in* Ed: I am a HACKER! Spike: Mah HAIR is too thick! *they stare at eachother for a bit, then walk off* Jet: So...would you like to see a movie? Spike: I'm feeling fat! And sassy! *they both start screaming at eachother. Jet's cyber-eye-thingy pops out, and blood spurts out. They continue to scream for the rest of the sketch. Jazz plays in the background.* *Faye and Spike are standing around. Faye suddenly rips out Spike's abdomen and begins to beat him with it until he dies. She takes the piece of Spike and puts it on her head.* Faye: I am the Queeeeen of Fraaaance! *Ed begins to play the bongos, and she dances* I'm going to hell, aren't I? ;) -
Originally posted by T man The wolfwood guy from trigun is my favorite because he is so cool.:D
I don't know how far you've seen, but I can tell you: Wolfwood is not a minor character.
Originally posted by Queen Asuka I've seen the first volume of Excel Saga and I love it. It's hilarious, really. She's trying so hard to win the affections of that evil Lord guy, and he HATES her! Ha! But she's just so cute, you know? You can't really help but to love her.
Yes, Excel is like, one of the cutest things ever...She's one of my favorite characters, after Il Paratzo and Iwata. And to answer Black_Phoenix's question, nobody is quite sure what Koshi Rikudo is/was smoking. But we can be sure that it's some really good stuff..

Anime Which Animes Are Dubbed Best/Worst?
Vertigo replied to ~Mystical Pan~'s topic in Otaku Central
I haven;t heard many subs, but I can list my opinions Best Hellsing- The only voice I didn't like was maybe Walter's and only because it was a bit too...grandfatherly. But I liked the rest. Cowboy Bebop- They fit! They freakin' FIT! I love this dub! I love it almost as much as I love the subs! Worst Evangelion- Admittedly, I heard Cartoon Network's version, but still...really, people. Rei sounded like she was in a hentai, and the rest...oh my god. Gendo sounded like a robot...*shakes head* That dub was just so bad, it was funny... Trigun- People are gonna bash me for this, but besides Vash, all of the voices are horrbily out of proportion and just plain scary...*shudder* -
For me, it depends on my mood. When I'm happy/hyper, the Excel Saga theme(Ai) is good for me, since I'm usually completely random, hyper, and won't shut up. When I'm unhappy, usually either Alice Cooper's Ballad of Dwight Fry, or Smashing Pumpkin's Disarm. Both are about losing onself, just in different ways. Edit: Lyrics! Ballad of Dwight Fry Mommy where's daddy? He's been gone for so long. Do you think he'll ever come home? I was gone for fourteen days I coulda been gone for more Held up in the intensive care ward lyin on the floor I was gone for all those days but I, was not all alone I made friends with a lot of people in the danger zone See my lonely life unfold I see it every day See my only mind explode Since I've gone away I think I lost some weight there and I'm sure I need some rest Sleepin don't come very easy in a straight white vest Should like to see that little children She's only four years old--- old I'd give her back all of her play things even, even the ones I stole See my lonely life unfold I see it everyday See my lonely mind explode when I've gone insane I wanna get out of here I wanna, I wanna get out of here I gotta get out of here I gotta get out of here Igotta get out of here I gotta get out of here I gotta get out a'here Ya gotta let me out of here Let me outta here I gotta get outta here Let me outta here I gotta get outta here Let me outta here I gotta get outta here See my lonely life unfold I see it everyday See my only mind explode Blow up in my face I grabbed my hat and I got my coat and I, I ran into the street I saw a man that was choking there I guess he couldn't breathe Said to myself this is very strange I'm glad it wasn't me But now I hear those sirens callin' and so I am not free I DIDN'T WANNA BE I DIDN'T WANNA BE I DIDN'T WANNA BE (See my lonely life unfold) I DIDN'T WANNA BE (I see it every day) LEAVE ME ALONE I DIDN'T WANNA BE DON'T TOUCH ME!!!! See my lonely mind explode when I've gone INSANE!!!

Augh! How could I forget about Kuroneko? (Such a cute little kitty...) And I don't think Toji really counted as a minor character, seeing as he was a good friend of Shinji
and the pilot of Unit 03, which was a pretty important part to the series because of Bardiel
. Kensuke does though(although I despise him.), and I guess Hikari was okay... Also in Eva, I have a soft spot for Shigeru Aoba(the tech guy with the long brown hair). Besides the fact that he's pretty freakin' cute, he really was great in EoE, and besides, any character that plays air guitar when bored gets points in my book.
Originally posted by MillieFan Hey, I have an interesting question for you psychologists and amateur psychologists: what differs Legato's motivations from Wolfwood's? Both have a similar ethic, somewhat similar background (or so it could be assumed), and that's just an interesting question. Both seem to think the end justifies the means, they just work to different ends.
Legato and Wolfwood's ruthlessness are completely different, along with their ethics. Wolfwood thinks in terms of who is being hurt, and who is hurting people, and Legato simply kills because he can, and believes that all humans should die because they are eating up the planet's resources. Wolfwood was an orphan, and so he grew up wanting to make sure that others didn't have the same fate as him. I seriously doubt Legato has a soft spot for anything but Knives and food.:p

Definately Kaworu from Evangelion. He's the sweetest little thing, and
the best angel of them all. His death scene is one of the greatest scenes in Eva.

Originally posted by maladjusted Well, does anyone know the song that plays at the end of Evangelion: Death and Rebirth? (the very last song that they play after part one of the movie, not the recap.) You know, the one that sounds really sad, and then all of a sudden it gets all happy?
That might be Thanatos: If I can't be yours, but I'm not sure

Well, I love most of the styles in anime, and I've always liked something that entertains me in a new way, and anime seems to do that for me. Also, most of the anime I've seen has gotten strong reactions out of me, and anything that can do that is not typical drama. I sorta like something that's good enough to make me cry for a while afterwards.
-
*nods* As I probably implied, I'm not really into the harem sort of story. Pure love/humor anime kinda isn't my thing. But, to be fair, the bounty hunter theme is beginning to become overdone. I haven't seen a lot of anime, but I can tell you that Outlaw Star, at first, seemed a lot like Cowboy Bebop, and Gene Starwind still reminds me of Spike.
-
I have to say, the best anime music for me is in a list, since I can never pick out a favorite 1. Cowboy Bebop (Do I really need to comment?) 2. Hellsing (Man, this soundtrack rocks...I love it) 3. Trigun (Mmm....guitar....) 4. Evangelion (Not sure which I love more, the two Beast songs, or Komm, Susser Tod from EoE)
So..*clear throat* newbie question...How do I make a banner and set it up?
I'd put my money on: 1. Get picture(s) that you want in the banner 2. Open your graphics program, and make a new document banner-size 3. Act like you know what you are doing and/or play with transparency, colors, and other effects of the sort. 4. Post. (At least, that's what I would do...)
