I agree with Andy that a bit of digging on Google and the like will more than likely yield the information you need (though we Mods can tell the members as such, thanks much. :D). I'm going to go ahead and close this, but feel free to put a request in your signature or something of the ilk. Good luck!

...Masashi Kishimoto is officially on crack. I mean, seriously. After all that, now we find out that there's a possibility that the Kyuubi was possibly summoned to the village. What the hell, man. Still, like you, Ikillion, I'm wondering what "that jutsu" is as well. It's more than likely Minato's ultimate technique, which can possibly only be utilized with the amount of chakra that Naruto has. Which brings up another point. If Naruto has the light half of the Kyuubi's chakra (and that's the light half?!), where did the dark half go? More importantly... who possibly has control of it now?

Oh... I see now. I wasn't paying attention to the silouette in the previous panel. That totally is an eye opening up, haha. I'm silly. Don't mind me. XP

Hm, from that angle, it seems that Tobi's eye hole is in the right place. It's always been on the right as far as I can tell. But you're probably right. But anyway, what's likely happening is that Pein is shifting his conciousness to all these other clone bodies and whatnot so that no one can tell who he is at any given moment. Though whether he can use their abilities or not is yet to be seen, it's still a troubling thought. :/

Don't worry, r2. I still use NarutoFan, despite the outcries of "TRAVESTY" when I inform most people of such. >.>; Anyway, I am interested by this whole pod business, though I'm more interested in the fact that Tobi (or Madara?) made an appearance at the end of the chapter. I'm not quite sure what's going on there, but it's made me start formulating some theories that may be a bit off-the-wall at the moment, but will likely end up being true. XD Only time will tell.

"Well, that was rather brief," Naomi muttered to herself as she picked at her longish nails. "What was that, Jergunson?" Terrified at the tone of voice Loren had used, Naomi sat stiff as a board, looking at the older woman like a deer in headlights. "Oh, um... Well, it's just that..." The editor began rubbing her temples, a habit she developed quickly after Naomi joined the staff. "Spit it out, already." Clearing her throat, Naomi finally managed to organize her thoughts into something she hoped wouldn't irritate the woman further. "Well, I got a tip from the guy I did a story on a while ago. You know, the one with the B&B that has a haunted floating bed? He says other things have started floating around and it's drawing in a lot of customers." "And?" "Oh... Well, I thought it would be a good follow-up..." "Jergunson, people expect things like that to happen in a place where things are already floating around. Not exactly what I call 'impressive.'" "...Right. I'll look into some other leads I've gotten." Sinking into her chair a little, Naomi glanced at the new reporter her boss had so gracefully shoved into the fire, silently wondering if she had actually heard what his name was. her memory had never been what most would call "perfect." "Um, I suppose if you want to see how we start from scratch around here, I can show you some things...?"

So, 368 turned out to be primarily more build up for the upcoming fights. On the plus side, Konan finally has a name and we found out that she's an origami-jutsu user. A pretty interesting combination, I must say, especially seeing how paper tends to go rather limp in rain. :/ I suppose there's some reason behind the pairing, though. Admittedly, I thought that Jiraiya had a pretty lame disguise when he initially showed up to trick those two low-rankers....then the frog transformed. I guess that's what I get for underestimating the man, lol.

Name: Naomi Jergunson Age: 22 Profession: Reporter Area of Expertise: Paranormal activities Physical Description: Standing about 5'10", Naomi has a sturdy build. She keeps her course brown hair pulled back from her face with a headband, either a chocolate brown band or a black, lace, scarf-like tie. Her eyes appear to be black when first spotted, but upon closer inspection, one is able to tell that they're actually a deep brown. Overall, she seems very plain compared to most women her age. She will always wear some form of flared leg jeans, though her choice of tops range from black printed T-shirts to pale yellow V-necks; the colour depends on her mood in the mornings. She also always wears a sliver pendant around her neck that doubles as a watch. Brief History and Personality Description: Naomi is the oldest child in her family, having a younger brother and a half-sister. Originally from Louisiana, she moved to South Carolina when she was four years old after her mother married her step-father. Lazing her way through a fairly below-average school system, Naomi found herself more and more interested in trivia shows and the local news. Combined with her mother's vocally-expressed interest in the paranormal, it wasn't long before she began flipping her way through the Weekly World News when she was old enough to help her mother shop at the grocery on the weekends. Fascinated by the amount of odd things there were to see in the world, Naomi became a devout reader, making it her goal to one day discover paranormal activity on her own and inform others just as she had been when she was younger. The world needs more people to tell them what's going on when they're not looking. Naomi is relatively quiet by nature, not wanting to talk unless something has caught her interest. As she always focuses severely on her work (or whatever she happens to be doing at the moment), she is quite easily startled. Combined with the fact that she is relatively timid, she comes off as a meek soul, but can produce a surprising amount of force when she wants something (i.e. an interview, a story idea OKed).
However, who is his mom? Was Naruto born imaculate from his father?
Naruto's mother's name is Kushina Uzumaki. She was a Whirlpool Village ninja. Other than the fact that she had Naruto's brash nature and noticable red hair, not much is known about her.

Shy: Well, it's a bit of a variety podcast, really. We intend it to be primarily for the gamer audience, what with us doing commentary on a lot of games, but we also plan to cover news and a few other things outside the genre. We're still trying to figure out how to make everything flow well, though. Aaryanna: I was a bit like you at first in regards to the podcast. However, I just chalked it up to Adam not wanting to step on their toes as far as their creativity goes. As far as I know, we're not paying them to do the podcast, so I think it's even trade to let them say what they want in return. Oh, I forgot to mention that I also listen to 2 Sense as well. It's mainly a humour podcast for the anthro community, but everyone can listen to it. However, there is a boatload of profanity throughout, hence the warning buffer at the front of every show, heh.

To be honest with you, I've been considering something like that for a bit now. You make a valid point, so I will likely be updating the thread as such. Please keep using the tags until I give the all-clear, though.

…I mean is Tobi really is Obito…

Ah, sorry there, Gavvers, but that's not quite right.
Tobi is Madara Uchiha, not Obito. Obito is apparently very much dead, though that doesn't mean he still can't make an appearance somewhere later in the manga and freak Kakashi out. Lord knows Orochimaru proved bringing back long dead people is possible when he fought the Third. --;

Thinking about it, here's a good possible reason that Itachi wants to fight Sasuke: To capture him and use him as bait. Itachi knows that Naruto is searching for Sasuke and the Akatsuki is searching for Naruto (at least two of them are supposed to be, anyway). Using Sasuke to lure Naruto into an ambush or something along those lines seems like a possible outcome. Lame and cliché, yes, but effective. :/

I agree that Itachi must die. (I also assume that there's some form of doujinshi, strip or fanfiction by that name on the Internet somewhere.) What would be amazingly awesome is if Naruto and Sasuke did it together. Of course, Sasuke would likely then turn on Naruto for getting involved in the fight and they would battle to the death. XD Anyway, I think that the battle between Itachi and Sasuke will be pretty epic, but it will likely happen after the impending Pein vs. Jiraiya fight (Kishimoto loves cliffhangers like that, I've noticed). I also agree that it would be both awesome and lame if it took two Aktsuki to take Jiraiya out. Especially with that girl. She gives off bad juju (as in "HORI ZEN, why do you exist?!" like Karin. Which is exactly how I felt about Sakura at first.) :/ I think the fight will span at least five chapters, though (it damn well better, with all this build up. I mean, Sasuke and Deidara went for at least three.) So we'll have a while before we see how it all pans out.

I FRIGGIN' KNEW IT. I knew it the first time I saw Minato (he finally has a name, praise the Powers That Be!) that he was Naruto's dad. The resemblance is too much. His ability to pick up the Rasengan was also something to consider, along with Itachi once refering to Naruto as "the Fourth's legacy." I'm not surprised at all and I am a little disappointed with the battle. Though I'm really looking forward to the real one.
I currently only listen to theO's podcast, mostly out of habit. I've grown accustomed to Ichigo and Batou's mannerisms, so they don't bug me as much as they used to, lol. As it happens, me and my friends are planning on starting a podcast this year. We tried last year, but due to lack of organization, it pretty much fell apart. Fortunately, I did some actual research this summer and found out some really good (and useful) information, so I think we might stand a fighting chance this time, hehe.

But I wonder though, why would Itachi go after Sasuke now? I mean, he just got out of a fight that nearly killed him, so why would Itachi want to test Sasuke's abilities if he's not at full strength?

Well, technically, Sasuke did mention that assimilating Orochimaru seemed to increase his healing speed, so I would think that he's still able to hold his own in some respects. After all Sasuke is still no pushover. He did still manage to control Juugo even when he was completely exhausted (though he passed out right afterward, which was insanely cute, haha). I'll admit that you do make a good point, however. I don't think that Sasuke is completely healed from his battle with Deidara (as that would be completely broken), so I too am curious to see what Weasel-kun has planned.

Yes, elemental alignment does have to be taken into account. Although I don't think Jiraiya's specific alignment has been revealed (though it has been shown he can use Wind-element techiniques), it is highly likely that the two will be opposed to each other in Pein's favour. I suppose we'll just have to wait and see after what goes down between Sasuke and Itachi.

By the way Kei, in case you didn't know, here's what happens in the upcoming battle. Image 1 Image 2 Image 3

What's sad is I can actually see that happening.
Personally, the part of the chapter that most interested me wasn't
Itachi speaking with Naruto
or
Itachi confronting Sasuke
- it was Jiraiya's talk with Tsunade. After I thought about it a bit, it seems to me that there's some heavy foreshadowing within Jiraiya's mini-speech; if that's true, then I think
Jiraiya won't be surviving his trip to the Village Hidden in the Rain, and it's going to be Pein who will kill him.
I'm of two minds about that.
I like Jiraiya a lot (easily my favorite of the Legendary Sannin and maybe a top five character for me), but I wouldn't know of a better way to establish Pein as a serious threat than having him kill Jiraiya, or at least beating the bloody hell out of him and winning a battle by a convincing margin. Akatsuki needs another serious victory, because Konoha and Sasuke have really beaten the crap out of them since Shippuden began. But whatever happens, I'd definitely look forward to an all-out battle between Jiraiya and Pein - I'm curious about what Pein can do, and I really want to see Jiraiya fight at full strength.

Thinking back on it, this is likely the case. Everything you said is pretty valid, and Kishimoto is never one to disappoint when it comes to WTF character deaths (see: Asuma, Orochimaru). Though I do reckon that Gamabunta will have a fit if and when it happens. XD

I think the Itachi confronting Sasuke right now is another illusion. Itachi's MO is not to deliberately pick a fight with Sasuke himself, at least not one where he'd have to actually exert himself until he was sure it would be worth it. On the day Itachi murdered the Uchiha clan, he left Sasuke alive because he saw in him the potential to acquire the Mangekyo Sharingan - Sasuke is meant to be another measuring stick for Itachi (I think, anyway, because without knowing the details of the Uchiha clan's secret, there's obviously no way to know how much that influenced Itachi's decision to let Sasuke live, or if it even changed Itachi's reasoning). Itachi told Sasuke to hunt him down when Sasuke got the MS; otherwise, Itachi is not interested in battling him (pretty obvious considering Itachi's reaction to Sasuke attacking him and Kisame when they came to Konoha). However, I think Itachi has grown curious about Sasuke's newly-acquired abilities, especially after he heard about Sasuke's battle with Deidara and later realized Sasuke survived the fight. He still wants Sasuke to come to him, but I don't think he sees any harm in sending an illusion to gauge Sasuke's current ability. I doubt there's any way Kishimoto gives away the Sasuke/Itachi fight without at least a little buildup lol.

I agree that this is the case. Though once Sasuke finds out that this is likely an illusion, it'll only serve to make him hate Itachi more. Yay, hate loops.
Also, Treble...
I don't think that was so much a look of fear than a buildup of years of hate toward a person and finally seeing them after you've wanted to throttle them for so long, lol.

My bet is that he wanted to talk to Naruto about Sasuke. One couldn't help but noticed the tiny little smirk he gave when Naruto told him he considered Sasuke a brother and was determined to be a better one than Itachi was. In my heart, I want to think that he was going to tell him to tell Sasuke to stop fighting the members of the Akatsuki (seeing how close he came to biting it against Deidara), or something along those lines. I severely doubt it had anything to do with the Kyuubi, though. But I guess we'll never know. By the way, since I couldn't say it before (as I was about 13 chapters behind), Tobi = ...What. I know I've heard the name Madara Uchiha before, but I can't place it. Any help? EDIT: Never mind. Behold the power of Wiki, haha.
Manga When making a manga, what fonts should I download?
Kei replied to kaekara's topic in Otaku Central
However, if you are looking for the one that most people use in online manga, then Digital Strip is the way to go. You can find it easily by running a Google search for it. -
I'm quite inclined to agree... However, there have been some manga where the authors share a drawing of what there spaces look like. As has been mentioned, Naruto author Masashi Kishimoto has shown his in one of the released tankoubons, as has Black Cat's author, Kentaro Yabuki. I don't know exactly which volume it was for either, however. I can give you an idea of what I think a nice set-up would be. Ideally, I would set up stations for each section of my process of pagination: a corner to think up ideas and draw up some roughs, a small desk for initial layout and drawing with all the pencils, erasers and other things I need, and another small desk for inking, toning and finishing (of course, this could just be a place for your work computer if you're a digital artist). I would also have a file cabinet to store copies of each page (just in case something happens to the original and for reference). As far as basic set-up goes, that would suit me, but it's your room, so you should set it up however works best for you. After all, no two people are exactly alike. :)

Manga Question for the Otaku Anime/Manga Artist.
Kei replied to Saya Minatsuki's topic in Otaku Central
To go along with the majority, I also listen to music when I draw. Of course, it's not necessarily Japanese music... Just whatever happens to come up on my iTunes, haha. Other than that, I usually ask not to be bothered until I'm done, that way I know I can relax and do whatever without always having to be worried about being called to do something around the house. It eventually gets annoying and makes my drawings look horrid. (If you take the latter bit of advice, do be considerate when asking for quiet time. It's always a bit shaky when you go up to a parent and say "I don't want to be bothered for the next two hours," hehe.)
