Rayne had set herself down on the outskirts of Corock and was now walking into town, but her mind was on other things. She was thinking of how it was before. How Aidien hadn't always been the cold-hearted Captain he was now. She remembered, in the past, how they once cared for one another... *** "Aidien, you can't do this. Ilmiwyrth is no one you want to side with. I can sense it." "Rayne, you worry entirely too much. Can't you see that with Ilmiwyrth we can make our land great?" "At what price?! How many lives must be taken in order to "make our land great"? Tell me!" Aidien sighed heavily. Why was it that she couldn't see the glory that Ilmiwyrth could bring to Reika? By making the people see the truth, we could all band together and be an unstoppable nation. Why could she see that...? "As many as it takes to make you all see, Rayne." Rayne was shocked at his response. This couldn't be the Aidien she knew. True, he was a warrior and a great one at that, but never before had he acted like this. Rayne walked close to him and put her hands on his shoulders. "What has he done to you...? What has Ilmiwyrth done to make you act this way? No one should have to die simply for a title of grandeur. You know that." "This is much more than a battle for a title! Ilmiwyrth wants to show the people what they should be! He doesn't want them to continue to live the lie they have been!" "There are ways to go about that with going on a murdering spree!" "But it's the best way to show them." "...Aidien... Being involved with this has changed you so much. You're going to get yourself killed if you do this. Aidien, I love you, and I don't want to see you lying in a battlefield dead or dying somewhere over this madman's war!" Rayne looked into Aidien's eyes. There was a cold emptiness there. It had been in his eyes for so long. For the briefest moment, she saw the warmth that had existed there before he'd gotten tangled up with Ilmiwryth, but it was gone before she could blink. Slowly, Aidien put his hands over Rayne's. He softly kissed her and took her hands away as he did. He then turned and began to walk back into the thick forests that surrounded Rayne's village. He suddely stopped and turned back to her slightly. "I'm sorry." *** That memory kept playing in Rayne's head again and again as she walked the steets of Corock. Those last two words echoed in the back of her mind. I'm sorry. "I...I can't forgive you, Aidien. Not until you come back to me as the Aidien I know." Rayne said to herself. Rayne finally noticed that she was deep in the heart of the small town, and looked about for a good place to spread the word. As she looked to her left, she saw a pub. "Hm. 'Aiglan.' I guess this is as good a place as any. Drunks are good for getting news about, even if no one wants to hear it." Rayne said as she walked over and pulled open the door.

The wind blew hard against Rayne. She could barely see anything due to all the debris flying into her face. She quickly found a ledge and set herself down. "When did this wind kick up all of a sudden?" Rayne said to herself. "It's as if it's trying to say something...." Rayne turned towards the direction the wind was blowing only to have it gust even harder. She was unable to catch herself as it caught hold of her wings and blew her over the edge. She nimbly turned herself around in mid-air and flew back up to the ledge, hovering slightly. "Perhaps it's saying that I should go back...but why?" As if in response to her question, the gust picked up even more speed, and sent her tumbling end over end before allowing her to settle in the tops of a nearby tree. Rayne beat her wings furiously against the rising storm to keep from being blown any farther away. "I guess I'll just go, then! Though I'll probably break my neck in this wind!" Rayne yelled over the howl. With that, she launched herself from the treetop and flew along with the flow of the wind. Instead of causing her more harm, it actually speeded her along quite nicely. "If I didn't know any better, I'd swear Aidien had something to do with this..." *** Rayne watched on as Aidien and his troops quickly broke what little camp they had set up and quickly gather in marching formation. "So he's making his move tonight, eh? Sneaky little devil. Just how he's always been..." Rayne glided from her post high enough as to where she sould barely be seen, but was well out of archer range should she be spotted. "Perhaps a visit to Corock is in order after all..."

I was pretty bad when I first got here. I remember the first post I had, which was in DB, was barely even a sentence, lol. Like amibasuki said, if I met me back when I was a newbie, I'd probably beat myself senseless. I've improved by leaps and bounds since then. I know I would be where I am now if I hadn't, lol.

I zone out on a daily basis. But only when I'm drawing or listening to someone who's been going on and on about something nonstop. I'll just tune everything out and think about random things. I freaked my mom out one time doing that. But I've found it helps out a lot at times, lol.

Rayne had quickly fled the scene where she had encounted Aidien and settled in the middle branches of an old oak tree. She silently cursed at the fact that she allowed herself to be taken by surprise. She'd trained herself better than that. "Savage... Nothing but a savage..." she growled angrily. She then touched at the spot on her neck where Aidien had grabbed her. It was still cold to the touch. "If it weren't for that blasted ice he always uses, I could have flown away when I struck him. And I could have easily dashed and slashed his throat...but I didn't. What happened to me...? I could have ended his onslaught then, and yet I let that oppritunity slip away. Could it have been because..." Rayne looked down at the dirk she'd been holding in her hand. The moonlight helped her to see her soft reflection in the blade, but only for an instant. She then clenched the grip and threw the dirk forcefully into the Earth below. "No. That can't be it. That's not it. I'll allow myself to be damned for all eternity before that ever happens!" Rayne clenched her teeth in anger and turned herself so that she faced the waning moon. As she looked at it, she became lost in a sea of thought. About how Aidien had killed off her village. About Ilmiwryth. About vengeance. About how she needed to find the others. "I'll see to it that I make you pay, Aidien. That you can count on." Rayne slid off the branch of the tree and gracefully made her way down to the base. She quickly found her dirk in the ground, buried up to the hilt. She tugged it out and cleaned the blade with a bit of grass she pulled up from nearby. "Threw it harder than I thought," she muttered as she sheathed it in her belt again. She closed her eyes and began to concentrate. Soon, her body began to glow with a white light and a pair of large, feathery, angelic wings sprouted from her back. She faced in the way where Aidien's camp lie and scowled. "Aidien..... When we meet again, I'll be sure make up for what I missed tonight...." She turned, beat her wings hard and took off into the night sky, not knowing exactly where she was going, letting the moon be her guide...

Rayne sat on a small cliffegde in the middle of one fo Reika's thicker forests. She gazed into the early evening sky and watched silently as the pale blue changed to a soft pink, then a crimson red. Just like the blood she'd seen spilled so ruthlessly all this time. She'd been tracking Aidien and his lot for a while now. It appeared as if they were headed to Corock, a city known for its' fine weapons. After seeing some of their work, Rayne came to the conclusion she had seen better. It would take them another day to get there if they were to march hard all day tomorrow, and Rayne, knowing how Aidien's train of thought tends to run, figured he'd do just that. "No doubt he intends to have his troop's weapons given a going over before he sets about destroying the place." Rayne muttered. "That'd be just his style." Rayne rose slowly and looked westward to where Corock lie. "There's no point in trying to warn them. They wouldn't stand a chance, anyway." She then gazed back down at Aidien's encampment. Her eyes caught an icy glint as she looked down at the campfires being lit and fingered the dirk sheathed in her belt. "One day, Aidien..." she said aloud. "One day, both you and Ilmiwyrth will know the pain youve caused to so many people when we send it back on you tenfold." Suddenly, Rayne felt two strong arms come around her, one about her middle binding her arms and the other around her throat, limiting her breathing. "Will we now, little sparrow?" Rayne instantly knew her assailant by the sound of his contemptuous voice. "Ai...dien!" she choked.

^^ Hi everyone. In regards to the fact that two people signed up for the role of the main villian, and based on me reading both of your sign-ups, (and the things one of you sent me) and giving careful consideration to both, I've decided to allow Harlequin to play the part. You are free to sign-up as another character if you wish. Jim, I'm asking kindly that you choose another power. Anyone may still sign-up here, but you must send me a PM so that I know you've signed up and wait for approval. (It'll be quick, trust me.) The thread's now up, so go have fun. ^^

To Jim: *points to small note* I reserved flight for me, hon. Kindly pick another. ---------------------- Name: Rayne Faryin Age: 20 Gender: Female Affiliation (good/evil): Good Power: Flight Weapon (if applicable): Longbow; Jagged Dirk Occupation (if applicable): Former Caretaker; Bow Maker Appearance: Rayne is around 5'10" with a slender build. She has long bluish-white hair and silver eyes. She often wears a green tunic similar to Link's and light brown pants with dark brown traveling boots. Rayne will often have her hair tied back as not to obstruct her line of sight. Bio: Rayne is a very quiet person. In her village, back when she was around 17, she often looked after the children that lived there and they pretty much adored her. After her village was attacked by forces being led by Aidian, she fled into the forest, being one of the few survivors. She found the others that had lived through the onslaught, who were some of the children she looked after, and took care of them for a while. This was how she found she had been gifted with the power of flight, as one day, one of them had fallen off a weak cliffside and she dove after her, suddenly growing wings and saving the girl from certain death. After the event, she took the children to the nearest village and left them under the care of the kind people there. She then went back into the forest and honed her skills of flight and perfected her archery. She now wanders silently through the country searching for the others that she knows will help her defeat the evil that has taken over their peaceful kingdom...

In the land of Reika, there is a legend. It tells of a great evil that enveloped the country and brought pain and suffering to everyone and everthing that lived there. Everthing the people used to get by was taken for the gain of Maleer, the greedy conqueror that had taken over. Those who stood against him were easily slain by his mighty forces. The people thought there was no hope for them, and true, all seemed lost, until a group of warriors, lookking every bit the misfit lot, met Maleer's tyranny head on. With their combined powers, they defeated Maleer through a series of encounters and a great final battle. Through their valiant plight, they were able to bring peace back to Reika and it's inhabitants. A legend is revived... Seemingly just out of the legend that occured so many centuries ago, an evil conqueror has taken over the land of Reika and driven everyone to poverty and despair. Many prosperous towns and cities now lie in ruins of their former glory, victims of a ruthless army. As many lose hopr and the land spirals into depression, unlikely heroes are receiving extrodinary gifts. Both young and old all across the land are being blessed with abilities ranging from magic, to combustion, even to flight. They've helped their villages fend off the invaders, but they all know that they have a higher calling. They know the must band together and defeat this evil. Now each begins their own quest to find the others and try to bring peace to Reika once more... ------------------ You'll note that I left the main villian's name out, as to not limit anyone. You may sign-up as him/her, but if more than one person signs up for it, I'll choose based on quality of sign-up. You can be good or bad, it's entirely up to you. I just ask that the people that sign-up try to keep it balanced. As far as powers go, evil people may have powers. I just don't want anyone having some unbeatable power. Every power should have a weakness (even if you have to think a bit to see it, lol). I'd like to keep the "heroes side", as it were, to around seven, but that is not a set limit. We'll just see. On regards of age, anything from 10 and up is fair game. Here's the sign-up sheet: Name: Age: Gender: Affiliation (good/evil): Power: Weapon (if applicable)*: Occupation (if applicable): Appearance: Bio: *Note about weapons: Since this RPG is in sort of a medieval setting, try to keep the weapons that way. ^_~ Should anyone decide to sign-up, it will start on Friday or close to it. (I'm reseving flight for myself on the good guys side, by the way.)

The first animé that I ever watched was Sailor Moon, too. That's kind of weird.... Sailor Moon wasn't really what got me hooked, though. Neither was Pokémon, surprisingly. It was Gundam Wing. I love that animé . Back when they used to show it on Toonami, I was a faithful viewer, lol. Then it went on into DBZ, and others, most recently Ranma 1/2 and Hellsing. I'm really glad I sort of fell into it, lol.

"Don't-a you worry about it, Peach. Just-a checking on a few things." Mario replied. "You're not lying to me, are you? Just so you won't worry me?" "Of course not! I would-a never do such a thing." Pikachu noticed that Mario's face tinged red slightly at that last remark. "Well, all right, then." Mario tugged his hat quickly to Peach and continued on to the dungeons. Pikachu looked scornfully after him. "I don't think Mario was being entirely truthful...." Pikachu thought. He then turned to the Princess and bowed quickly. "I'm going to go give Mario a hand, Your Majesty." "Oh, all right. Be careful, then. But before you go, answer me this. How are you talking?" "Oh. Well, with this little trinket here." Pikachu said holding up a small locket. "Where'd you get it?" "Uh....Found it. Have to go if I'm gonna catch that plumber! Goodbye, Princess!" And Pikachu dashed off out the door after Mario. "Now I have a feeling they're both hiding something..."

A good measure of how high your Pokémon levels should be is to fight the underlings at the Gym. They all are at levels somewhat close to that of the Gym Leader. I would think you'd want to have your levels at least 6-10 levels higher than that. That way, you can be assured an easy victory. If you so happen to have a weakness to the particular Gym, you may want to train a bit more than that. Edit- Oo; I just noticed that this is about a month old. I think it's safe to say he's past Misty, so I think I'll close this now....

Well, what I would do is try writing out what I'm feeling. Just try to find a medium to think about. If your conscience is bothering you, calm yourself and then go tell the person the truth. You'll have to accept the consequences, whatever they may be, if that's the case. With being open, just come out and say what you feel like saying. Some people may accept it and some won't. That's all a part of opinions. I, myself, am going through something like what you are. *pokes Weh and Solo* Just say what you want. If whoever you're with doesn't like it, so what? That's on them.

It was then the Joey and Tristan yaoi fanfics went to a whole new level....

Well, if that's the case, then it may be that the newest set coming out, Pokémon-e: Skyridge, may be the one. I'm just grasping at straws myself, so I can't really tell you. All I can say is that you could run a search on a search engine somewhere and try to find some matches at some set spoiler sites. I really should start collecting again....
-
That's what the newer sets are. The Japanese V.S. cards are the e-cards that are in print under the set name Pokémon-e: Expedition and Pokémon-e: Aquapolis, if my info is correct.
