1. Character Name: Kirby Character Personality: Kirby tends to be naive in most situations, due to his young age. He's usually more concerned about where his next meal is coming from than the hazards being presented at the time. When it comes down to beating the bad guy, though, Kirby always finds a way to make it happen. And if he gets some chow along the way.... ^-^ Home: Dreamland Other: It's not a wise idea to get in Kirby's path while he's eating, otherwise you might get caught in his suction path. And you might want to bring some noisemakers or something to keep his attention for more than ten seconds...
  2. Hm. It wouldn't really make a major impact on my life if it were to disappear. More than likely, I'd just read more than I am now (which seems unfathomable to me). I'd just pity the people whose lives revolve around anime. They'd probably lost it. Oo;
  3. Oh, yeah. I forgot about him. ^^; I always forget him, unless I see him in the anime, lol. But, anyways, since the question's been answered, there's no reason for this to stay open, really.
  4. Yes, the Pokémon your thinking of is Articuno. There aren't anymore Ice/Flying-types that have been released in the games, I believe.

    Rayne and Ryo were still chatting as they waited for their Pokémon to be healed, when suddenly Rayne broke off from the conversation. Ryo: What's wrong? Rayne: For some odd reason, something doesn't feel right. Ryo: What do you mean? Rayne: I don't quite know.... All of a sudden, the main lights of the Pokémon Center went out. Luckily, the back-up generator kicked on not too long afterwards. What was weird was that some really cheesy music came on in the background... Ryo: Hey! What's going on? Rayne: And where is that horrible music coming from? ???: It's not horrible! It's foreboding! ???: Stop it, you'll ruin it! ???: Oh, be quiet! Let's do it! Rayne and Ryo sweatdropped and stood looking at each other wondering what the heck these two nuts were going on about. Nurse Joy and her Blissies came out from the back and watched as the two went on. ???: Prepare for danger! ???: You're meeting with strangers! Rayne: Well, yeah. If we knew who you were, we wouldn't be wondering about who you are and what you want, now would we? ???: Hey, she's right... ???: Never mind! We'll fix that later! Let's just get on with it! *ahem* To rid the world of terra firma dwelling! ???: The power of our team is swelling! ???: To destroy the evil of hard-packed land! ???: To show the beauty of the water at hand! A spotlight from who knows where then came on to reveal a girl and boy in their early twenties wearing very stylish and modern-like pirate outfits. Ariel! Nemo! Ariel: Team Aqua! Turning the world the way it should be! Nemo: Water as far as the eye can see! Wynaut: WYNAUT!! Ryo: Team Aqua? Ariel: That's right! We've come here to see you, Little Miss Gym Leader! Nemo: Yeah! The great Team Aqua Leader has heard of you skills as a Water trainer and is wondering if you'd like to join our team! Rayne: What? Me? Join Team Aqua? Nemo: Sure! You can help us realize our dream. Water everywhere! No land in sight! Ariel: Plus, we have great benefits! Ryo: Cover everything with water?! What about all the Pokémon that live on land? Ariel: What about them? That's their problem.... Rayne: That's horrible! I'd never join anything that would harm any Pokémon, be they any kind! Ariel: Hmm.... Sorry you feel that way.... Now we'll have to take this Center for everything it's worth.... Nurse Joy: You can't do that! You leave this Center alone! Nemo: Sorry, but we have to get something out of this! Go, Vaporeon! Rayne: Oh, no you don't! I choose you--Ack! Ryo: What is it?! Rayne: My Pokémon are in the back being treated..... Ryo: Mine too.... Ariel: Go, Golduck! As Ariel threw her Poké Ball, the Wynaut that had come in before stepped in and knocked it out of the way. Wynaut: WYNAUT! Ariel: I didn't say I wanted you! Go back to the background where you belong! Wynaut turned around and gave it's trainer a sad look, then slowly walked back behind her. Ariel: That's better. Now, as I was saying! Go, Golduck! Now both of Team Aqua's Pokémon, an awkward-looking Golduck and Vaporeon, stood waiting for their master's commands. Ariel & Nemo: Ice Beam! Instantly, the two sent weird-looking Ice Beams chasing Ryo, Rayne, Nurse Joy and the Blissies behind a table, which they filpped to use as a barricade. Ariel: Great! Now we can restock on food! Nemo: Not to mention all these Pokémon! Nurse Joy: I don't think so! Go, Blissies! Rayne and Ryo stood back as Nurse Joy took control of the situation and the Blissies went out to fight. Ryo: I've never seen a Nurse Joy act like that.... Rayne: Same here.... Nurse Joy: You two! Cover your ears! Ryo & Rayne: Yes, ma'am! Ariel: What are these two supposed to do? Bandage us to death? Nurse Joy: They can do a lot more than you think! Blissies, use Sing! The two Blissies launched into a soothing melody that had Vaporeon and Golduck snoozing in no time. A bonus was that it also made Team Aqua drowsy. Nurse Joy: Now use Egg Bomb! The Blissies took the eggs from thier pouches, and threw them as hard as they could at Team Aqua. The resulting explosion caused a hole to be blasted in the roof, which Team Aqua and all their Pokémon quickly flew out of. It also brought them out of their daze. Nemo: How could we get beaten by a nurse and two overgrown Easter eggs?! Ariel: I don't know, but they left us scrambled! Vaporeon & Golduck: *moans* Ariel & Nemo: Looks like Team Aqua's all wet! Wynaut: WYNAUT! And they disappeared over the horizon. *** With Rayne and Ryo's help, along with the Center Raichu nad Machamp, Nurse Joy soon got the power back on, the hole in the roof patched, and all Rayne and Ryo's Pokémon healed. Now they stood outside the Pokémon Center. Ryo: That was great what you did, Nurse Joy. Nurse Joy: Oh, it was nothing. Just had to protect my Center. I suppose you two will be going back to the Gym now? Rayne: Yes. It's been a rather odd day, and I think we'll both need a lot of rest tonight. Nurse Joy: All right. You two be careful. Those two Team Aqua members might be back. Rayne: We'll be ready for them. Right, Ryo? Ryo: You bet. Rayne and Ryo waved as they started their walk back to the Gym, eager to tell everyone about what happened.... ----------------------------------------------------- How they come up with those mottos, I have no idea... @_@
  6. I think you musunderstood what I was saying. What I'm saying is, I think this law is pointless. The following comes from the ESRBS (Entertainment Softward Rating Board System):
T- Teen: Suitable for ages 13 and up. May include violent content, profanity, and mild sexual themes.
Most parents know this when they either a) Get the game for the child after seeing a commercial, for whatever reason, or b) Are with the child and have the salesperson tell them the rating or what-have-you. Most parents who allow their children to play these games know what they're getting into. Also from the ESRBS:
M- Mature: Suitable for ages 17 and up. May include more intense violence and profanity, and more sexual themes, than products in the Teen category.
This is where I feel that the law should be set. There's a lot more gore, violence, etc. in these games than in Teen games. There's already a law preventing anyone under 17 (I believe) from getting these games without parental consent/guidance, and I feel that's appropriate. I just think that they should leave the law at M-rated games and leave T-rated games alone. I'm sorry if my previous post came off as something else to anyone.
  7. I can see why kids under 17 can't buy Mature-rated games (on some), but for most games rated Teen, the violence is animated. All the fighting and stuff is computer-generated and such. If the parent is along while the kid is getting the game, they know exactly what they're getting and can say "yea" or "nay." But then there is the other side of the issue, in which people think they're protecting children from something. Take for example this past week's ep of "Everwood." There was a scene in which Ephram and Delia were playing "Ratchet and Clank" and Andy said he didn't want Delia playing it because it was "too violent for her." The end of the scene depicts Delia saying "Die, you scum!" and Andy giving her a serious look. I believe the game is rated Teen (please correct me if I'm wrong), and the violence is animated. Andy had said before that he didn't want Delia playing it, and that's what parents should do in a case where there's an older sibling with more access to games. The game itself isn't honestly that bad in the way of violence, much like Banjo-Kazooie or Spyro (at least it looks that way, for I haven't played it). To me, the whole thing is great, up to a point. I mean, there are plenty of E-rated games out there to play, but come on. This is kind of pushing it. It is just a game....

    Rayne: Here's your badge. Wear it proudly. Ryo: Thanks a lot. Rayne: So, are you headed to Dewford, then? Ryo: I guess... Rayne: Well, being the situation the one it is....would you mind some company? Ryo: You want to come with me? Rayne: Sure. I've got nothing else to do. And who knows? I may come in handy one time or another. ^_~ Ryo: That'd be great! Rayne: All right, then. It's settled. You can stay here the night and we'll leave out in the morning. For right now, though, I need to take Mudkip for a proper checkup at the Pokémon Center. Ryo: I'll come with you. Rayne: That's fine with me. We can get to know each other a bit better along the way. Maxy, I'll speak with you after we get back. Max: Fine. Hey, wait a sec... Rayne and Ryo quickly walked out of the Gym stifling their laughter as they walked to the nearby Pokémon Center, leaving Max slightly angry that Rayne had called him "Maxy" again...

    Rayne: Hm... Croconaw! Got anything left?! Croconaw slowly turned to her trainer and nodded quickly. Rayne: Croconaw is partially paralyzed... I wouldn't do this normally, but if I don't, that Breloom's attack will finish the match! I have to try. Alright, Croconaw! Let it get in closer! Ryo: Huh? What's she up to....? Mudstomp! Be careful! They've got something planned! Charge in full-throttle! As the Breloom ran in to finish off it's Big Jawed foe, Rayne noticed Croconaw fully flex its claw. She smiled and a dangerous glint came into her eyes. Just as Breloom was reaching for Croconaw, Rayne gave her command. Rayne: Croconaw! Use your Ice Punch! Ryo: What?! Croconaw instantly sprang into action, drawing its right arm back a ways and lauching itself at Mudstomp. It's hand glowed an icy blue and a bright flash followed as Croconaw made full contact. Ryo smiled at Rayne's efforts. Ryo: I wouldn't expect a Gym Leader to make a rookie mistake like that! You should know that Fighting-types are strond against Ice! Rayne: That's true. They are strong against Ice attacks. But they are not impervious to them! Take a look at your Breloom if you don't believe me! Ryo gave Rayne a curious look, and then looked down at his Pokémon. As Croconaw jumped away, a mist began to envelop Breloom. When it cleared, Mudstomp was trapped in a jagged block of ice. Ryo: Mudstomp!! No!! Mitsuna: Breloom is unable to battle! Croconaw is the winner! Ryo: How?! Rayne: Like you said, Fighting-types are strong against Ice attacks. But since Breloom is also half Grass-type, which is extremely weak against Ice, that allowed my Croconaw's attack to freeze it solid. Ryo: Mudstomp... Don't worry. I'll beat her for sure now, no matter what. For what she did to you, buddy....

    Rayne: Mudkip! Look out! Try to use your Water Gun! Mudkip tried to rise in time to meet the blow from Mudstomp's Mach Punch, but couldn't. It was hit hard under the chin and sent flying head over tail. It landed in front of Rayne, groaned, then stayed still. Mitsuna: Mudkip is unable to battle! The winner is Breloom! Ryo: Great going, Mudstomp! Mudstomp: Breeee! Rayne ran over to her little Mudkip and gathered it her arms. Rayne: You battled well, Mudkip. You deserve a good rest. I'll take you to the Pokémon Center as soon as I'm done here. Rayne recalled Mudkip and then returned to her place on the battlefield. Rayne: Alright, Ryo. Now it's time to see what you're really made of. I choose you! Croconaw! Rayne threw a Poké Ball onto the field, and it opened to reveal a fierce-looking Croconaw. Rayne: This little cutey has been with me ever since I took over this Gym. I've trained it well, and it's got a few tricks up it's sleeve. Get ready for a real battle!! Mitsuna: Second battle: Croconaw vs. Breloom! Go!
  13. According to the research I've been doing, I know why Misty left, but not Brock. Take a look, if you want:
The reason why Misty left is because her sister's decided to take thier show on a world tour, and Misty has to return to Cerulean to run the Gym. Ash gives her his hat as a way to remember him by, which is why he get a wardrobe change, most likely.
That little fact can push the belief that there's something between them even farther. *shrugs*

Rayne: Mudkip, burrow underground to dodge it! As Ryo's storng-looking Breloom began spreading it's Stun Spore, Mudkip began to dig rapidly to avoid the assault. It just made it before the dangerous cloud settled. Rayne: Good work! Now, get ready for a counterattack! Ryo: Be on guard, Mudstomp! We don't know where it'll come up! I just came here for a battle with you, but scoring two badges at once would be too good an opprotunity to pass up. Rayne: True, but there's also no guarantee that you'll win. Mitsuna, you can set the stipulations now. Mitsuna: Oh, okay! Mitsuna ran over to the Referee's Podium on the sidelines and picked up her flags. Rayne and Ryo took their places on opposite sides of the battlefield and awaited Mitsuna's rules. Mitsuna: The following will be a Gym battle between Ryo and Gym Leader Rayne for a Hoenn Leauge Badge!
