Rayne and Mitsuna were just finishing up their morning rounds when Rayne's favorite Quagsire, Blubby, came waddling up with a Poké Ball in it's mouth. Rayne: Ah. Here's another thing to remember. Whenever Blubby comes to you with a Poké Ball like this, it means a trainer has come for a challenge. Mitsuna: Why? Rayne: I honestly don't know. He's done it ever since he was a Wooper. I guess I should go and see who's come. I'll take this match. I want you to be referee to see how I do things. Perhaps you'll learn something new. Mitsuna: Yes, Miss Rayne. The two left the Goldeen Pond where they'd been feeding the Pokemon and walked towards the battlefield, wondering who would be waiting on them....

You can find the six volumes just about anywhere. They're probably even at your library. All you have to do is ask someone to run a search for you. Otherwise, just search around at some comics stores where you live, or look on the Internet.

Today, we find ourselves in Rustboro City at the local Pokémon Gym. There, a battle is being fought to decide if the trainer will receive a badge to put him one step closer to qualifying for the Hoenn Leauge. Rayne: Now, Mudkip! Use Mud Slap! The sturdy creature wet the ground slightly by dribbling water from its mouth, spun around, and flung mud at its fire-type foe with its tail. The opposing Magby was hit hard in the face, covering its eyes and blinding it. It pawed desperately to clear them, but to no avail. Rayne: Good work! Now, finish it off with a Headbutt! Mudkip ran full throttle toward Magby, who was still working with the mud from Mudkip's first assault. Trainer: Oh, no! Magby, look out! Magby finally cleared the dirt from its eyes, but it was too late. It was caught hard in the midsection by Mudkip's powerful Headbutt. Magby flew through the air and landed with a soft thud at its trainer's feet, completely out of it. Referee: Magby is unable to continue the battle! Mudkip is the winner! This match goes to Gym Leader Rayne! Mudkip gave a triumphant cry and ran to its trainer with head and tail held high. Rayne chuckled softly at her youngest companion. Rayne: Arrogance is a lofty perch to be knocked from, my friend. Mudkip looked curiously at its owner and tilted its head. Mudkip: Kip? Rayne: Don't get cocky, little one. You did battle very well, however. You deserve a nice rest. Rayne withdrew a Lure Ball from her belt and recalled Mudkip. She then walked over to the young trainer, who was trying to rouse his Magby. Rayne: You put up a good fight. I suggest you take your Magby to see Nurse Joy. Trainer: I thought I was so ready to battle you... I even taught my Magby Thunderpunch.... Rayne: Ah, then you did your homework. But since Mudkip has Ground-type attributes, it wouldn't have had any effect. The trainer looked surprised and then looked sadder than he had before. Rayne never did like to see a kid sad, so she rose, quickly reaching to her pocket as she did so, and offered her hand to the trainer. He accepted and she helped him to his feet. Rayne: Listen. I want you to train hard. You have a lot of potential, as do your Pokémon. With the proper love and training, you most assuredly can become the next Hoenn Leauge Champ. Remember what I've said to you. It's wise to heed it on your journey. She quickly turned her hand over and let go, returning to the inner santuary of the Gym. As the trainer watched, he felt something in his hand. Upon looking down, he found it to be a shiny, new badge. Instantly, his eyes welled up with tears. Trainer: Thanks.... I will remember.... And with that, he raced off to the Pokémon Center. *** Rayne: I hope he appreciated what I did for him. That may be the last thing I do as a Gym Leader. Rayen was sitting by an indoor pond sipping tea with a student of hers named Mitsuna. Mitsuna: So you're really going to leave? Rayne: Yes. I want to see the rest of Hoenn, not just this city. What I really want to see is Sootopolis City. It's entirely underwater, you know. Mitsuna: Yes. But who will take care of the Gym while you're gone? And all the Pokémon? Rayne: Well, I thought I'd leave that to you, Mitsuna. You've come a long way. Your skills and judgement have improved greatly. You will make a fine Gym Leader. Mitsuna: Thank you, Miss Rayne! I'll make you so proud! Rayne: I'm sure you will. I'll remain here for a few more days, then I'm off and you'll take over. Now, I do believe it's time to give the Gyrados their vitamins for the day. Come on. I'll show you how to without getting blasted.
Originally posted by Desbreko This sounds like it could be fun, and I'm thinking about signing up, but I'd need one question answered first: Would I need to be familiar with Hoenn to really be able to participate? I know Johto and Kanto well enough, but I don't have Ruby or Sapphire, so I don't know anything about Hoenn. I could probably find a map somewhere online, but beyond that, I'd be pretty much clueless. I also don't really know anything about the new Pokémon in R/S. :cross:
lol Neither do I, hon. You honestly don't need to. You can be like Ash, who's coming to Hoenn for the first time. I'll find a World Map (or someone else could, to be nice ^_~) for people who are Hoenn-illiterate, like ourselves. *goes to look*
Originally posted by Hyper Also, I was just wondering, is there some kind of Elite Four? I was just curious to see if maybe a trainer/gym leader could become one of them under special circumstances.
Aye. That's one of the tournaments I was talking about. There will be a Hoenn Leauge Championship Tournament to be held at one time or another. That's up to moi. ^_~ I'll give hints along the way as to when. As for becoming one of them, somebody may drop out and allow a Master Trainer to take their place.... Edit- Found it! The only one on the Web I could find, anyway. If someone could help me out by taking this to Paint, numbering the cities and giving us the names, that would help a lot, thankees. Edit #2- Vicky, Mina, you two will need to pick hometowns that are actual cities from the game. Here's a list. Pick what strikes your fancy; Littleroot Town, Oldale Town, Petalbrg City, Rustboro City, Dewford Town, Slateport City, Mauville City, Verdanturf Town, Fallarbor Town, Lavaridge Town, Fortree Town, Lilycome City, Sootopolis City, Mossdeep City, Ever Grande City, Pacifidlog Town. I figure I'll post my own little sign-up, since I'm bored out of my skull. Name: Rayne Age: 17 Gym You Run: Rustboro City Gym (Note: All Gym Leaders should have their Gym names set up like this) Appearance: Light gray eyes, around 5'10". Wears a light blue, kimono-like shirt with Dark brown pants and plain black shoes. Can often be seen with her long white hair pulled back into a bun, but known to let it down when in a tough battle or a cool or windy area. Bio: Rayne has been the Rustboro City Gym Leader ever since she was fourteen. She inherited it from her older brother. He left to go on his own little adventure in the Kanto Region. Since she was old enough to take care of herself, being their parents had died when they were little, Rayne is very grown-up for her age. The disciples of her Gym look to her as a sort of mother, and they are all quite strong, both mentally and battle-wise. Her Gym revolves around Water-type Pokémon. She has had a love for them ever since she was small. As a result, the Gym is also a santuary for Water Pokémon. She's learned over time how to treat several different types, and has passed that information on to her students. Now Rayne is startinmg to feel restless. She wants to join the Hoenn Leauge, but is worried about her Gym. She has had her eye on a few students of hers, but she's not sure.... Signature Type: Water Pokémon: Croconaw, Vaporeon, Mudkip.

Everyone knows about the new Pokémon series coming out either this year, or later next year, so why not have our own little version of it? You may be a normal Trainer, a Gym Leader, or a member of Team Aqua or Team Magma. Trainers may travel in groups (try to keep it down to three or four, if possible). Aqua/Magma members may work in pairs, or be free agents. Gym Leaders can stay rooted to their Gyms, or can join a group and travel as a mentor or what-have-you. There will be tournaments held at times in certain cities (which I will announce, so be on the lookout), and anyone may be allowed to participate, as long as you are by the city which it will be held in, or have a means of transportation to get there (i.e. a FLYer). Here are the sign-up sheets: Trainer Sign-Up Name: Age: Hometown: Appearance: Bio: Pokémon*: (Note on Pokémon: You may only have up to two Pokémon to begin with. You may catch more as you go. No Legendaries are allowed in beginning rosters, but they may be sighted and a capture can be attempted later on. Pokémon may be any of the 386 known ones, except for the Legendaries as previously stated. If you have an evolved Pokémon, kindly give a brief background in your Bio. ^_~) Gym Leader Sign-Up Name*: Age: Gym You Run: Appearance: Bio: Signature Type: Pokémon*: (*Note on Names and Pokémon: You may choose to be the normal Leader of the Gym, or you can make up your own character. It's entirely up to you. ^_~ Also, Gym Leaders may have up to four Pokémon at hand. They can also have a Reserve/Gym [as seen with Pryce in the animé].) Team Aqua/Team Magma Sign-Up Name: Age: Affiliation: Appearance: Bio: Partner Name (if applicable): Pokémon: Pokémon battles must have at least a little detail to them. Your Pokémon, if unevolved, is free to evolve after one win. Be sure to be fair when battling. We don't want spats to break out over it. There's no limit to the number of Trainers able to sign-up. We must have at least one member from Team Aqua/Team Magma each. Rivalries will obviously abrupt between these too, so be as out there as you want with it (i.e. Team Rocket Rivalry- Butch & Cassidy vs. Jesse & James, or take a more serious approach). Once the Gym Leader slots have been taken, that's it. If there aren't enough people to fill them all, the Leaders from the game will take over. That about sums everything up. If you have any questions, ask them here. I'll post my sign-up later, if anyone wants to join. ^_~

AP Tests? *High School Students Only, Please*
Kei replied to Queen Asuka's topic in General Discussion
The only AP test that I've got to take is AP Chemistry. Our tiny (by tiny, I mean three) class has spent the entire year preparing for the thing, so I'm not really concerned. The only problem I'll have is getting to school on time... -
Starting from the middle and moving outside to the left: Stadium, GB Tower, Your Room, Professor Oak's Lab, Gym Leader Castle, Mini-Games, Free Battle, Earl's Pokémon Academy Q: In the anime, Ash & Co. met up with a dance troop family bearing the Eevee evolutions. What are all their names? Bonus- Include the Eevee evolution they possess.

[strike]To do that, the concept is easy, but the actual doing is hard.[/strike] First, find the Pokémon you want to have the two moves. If there is a Pokémon that has both these moves and is male, breed it with the appropriate female to get the Pokémon, and hopefully, it'll have the moves you wish. If there is no such Pokémon, you'll have to go for the long haul. You'll have to breed a male with the first move with a female and a male with the second move with a female, and get one male and one female (this one having to be the required Pokémon to get the desired Pokémon), each with one of the moves. If CS's and my info are correct, if you breed the children together the result should be the desired Pokémon with the moves you want. *is all dizzified now*

Well, R2 is incredibly more difficult than R1, it would require a bit more strategy. I would suggest upgrading the Pokémon you used in R1, as in, if you used any Pokémon not fully evolved, use the evolved form, and switch up to some more powerful moves. Take note of what Pokémon you opponent is using and try to see a pattern to what they're doing. Some were pretty evident in R1, but they may be a little harder to figure out in R2. Just think things through, and you should be fine.

Ah, Pokémon Stadium Round 1... How it frustrated me. I saved PokéCup for last too, lol. I found that this team worked wonders. Articuno Lv. 52 Ice Beam Fly Peck (Yeah, I know.... Ick.) Toxic Blastoise Lv. 50 Ice Beam Surf Strength Hydro Pump Raichu Lv. 53 Thunder Mega Kick Body Slam Agility Charizard Lv. 51 Flamethrower Fly Fire Blast Slash Pidgeot Lv. 51 Fly Whirlwind Swift (Can't remember the last move) Venusaur Lv. 52 Vine Whip Razor Leaf Sleep Powder Stun Spore It has some overlap, and some weaknesses, but they worked. I just chose Pokémon I thought fit the situation, and it was a breeze. Try your luck with that one.

Chapter 5 Rayne, Yami and Bakura, whom YaBakura decided to let come back for a while, were walking down a corridor on the top floor of the Kaiba Corp. building. One side was nothing but a long window, while the other was a wall separating themselves from offices. One would normally enjoy the view, but Rayne was acrophobic, so she stayed well near the smooth, gray, plaster wall, and tried hard not to look outside. Bakura noticed her sudden anxiety, and touched her arm. "Are you all right?" he asked with genuine concern in his voice. "Yeah? Fine." Rayne replied in a shaky voice. "Just noticed that we're kind of?up here?you know?" "Yes, this is pretty high," he replied. "I wouldn't doubt if I could see my house from here." Rayne appreciated Bakura's trying to ease her nervousness by making that little joke, but it unfortunately didn't work. Yami glanced behind him slightly smiling, finding Bakura's joke amusing in a way. He barely noticed when someone came out of the office in front of them and barred his path. He stopped suddenly and looked down at the little guard. It was none other than Kaiba's little brother, Mokuba. "Uh, Mokuba! What are you doing here?" "I could ask you the same question, Yugi." He then looked past them and noticed Rayne and Bakura standing behind him. Rayne gave him a sweet smile and waved. Mokuba blushed and started looking at his shoes. Rayne got a sly smile on her face, and began walking over to him. "Let me handle this," she whispered to Yami as she passed by. She slowly walked over and got eye-level with Mokuba and lifted his chin so that he was looking at her. "Hi there. Your name's Mokuba, right?" He nodded slowly and blushed even redder. "Well, Mokuba, we have to do something very important in this office, so can we get through here? Please?" Yami heard the extra sweetness Rayne had mixed in with that last "Please?" and shook his head in wonder. "I shouldn't, 'cause my brother Seto's not here?" "Oh, Seto won't mind. One of his secretaries called him and let him know that we're here. He knows that we're going into his office. It's perfectly fine." Rayne told him, not knowing that what she just said had actually happened. "Are you sure?" "Definitely." "Positive?" "Only fools are positive." Mokuba looked sort of shaken by her answer, then smiled and nodded at Rayne. He turned and opened the doors to Seto's office. "Go ahead and look around," he said to Rayne. Rayne smiled and patted Mokuba on the head as she passed by him, which made him turn the deepest red Yami had ever seen. He followed after Rayne, and Bakura followed after him, leaving Mokuba outside. He leaned on the doorway and watched them, thinking about how Kaiba wouldn't let Yugi in here for anything, so he must not know about him, and how that girl must think he's just your average kid. She didn't know whom she was dealing with. Mokuba pushed off from his perch and walked to the elevators. He'd go down and make a little phone call to confirm his theory? *** Yami had rolled out the blueprints of the room on a small coffee table Kaiba had is his office. Rayne and Bakura looked over it carefully noticing small boxes in the walls where safes would be located. There were also numbers below them, which one would think would be combinations to the locks. "Remember. We're only after something that could help find Joey." Rayne said to Yami and Bakura. They nodded in agreement and got up from their seats. There were three safes all together, one for each of them. They spread out and quickly found the safes, two behind portraits, the last cleverly located behind a stack of books in a large bookcase. They got into them easily, took out the contents, and put them all on the table to see if anything of use was there. *** Kaiba was quickly let out of his car, and he walked just as quickly up the walkway and through the entrance of his company. As he walked past the main lobby desk where Stacy seemed to wilt as he passed by without a word to her, he saw Mokuba getting out of the elevator. Mokuba saw him as well, and ran over. "Big brother! You'll never-" "I know, Mokuba. Yugi's here now with that girl, and they're probably still in my office, aren't they?" "Yeah! We should get up there right now, Seto." "You're right. Let's go." Kaiba quickly walked to the elevators and got on the one Mokuba had just stepped off of. Mokuba trotted in after him and they both stared straight ahead as the doors of the elevator closed to take them to the top floor. *** "There isn't anything except company documents here. Nothing that could help us find Joey." Rayne said disgustedly. "Yes. These are just your basic company files. No clue here." Yami said discouraged. "So this was just a bust, then?" Bakura asked sadly. "That about sums it up." Rayne said rising with the files in her hand, making to return them back to their place. Yami and Bakura did the same and replaced everything to the walls where they belonged. They grouped back at the table and looked at one another. "Well, if the clue's not here, then where is it?" Rayne said a bit angrily. "Maybe we aren't looking in the right place like we did last time," Yami voiced. "That could be the case," Bakura said looking at Rayne. "Maybe?" Rayne mumbled, getting lost in her thoughts. She was rudely snapped out of them when an icy voice began speaking from behind her. "Perhaps I can be of assistance," it said. Yami and Bakura's eyes widened at the sound of it, and they slowly turned behind them to face the one person they didn't want to see. Rayne also looked behind her to see somewhat tall boy around her age with brown hair and blue eyes staring back at her. One look at his clothes and Mokuba standing beside him told her all she needed to know. She was looking at the one person that could compromise her current situation. Seto Kaiba.

I feel out of place everywhere. Even in my own neighborhood, where I've lived for the past 12 years. Although I know almost everyone, and they know me, I feel weird because I don't do the things they do. Given most of them are illegal and I shouldn't be involved in them anyway, I can't help but feel I should get out of the house more than just to go to school and work. lol School isn't any better. I guess you could call me an outcast of sorts. The only people I really talk to are the people in my Cisco class and a few others. Everyone else either ignores me, teases me, or takes me for a human Internet. Oo; I've gotten used to it over the past couple of years, but I know that due to some changes coming in the near future, I'm going to have to get readjusted. That's one thing I'm not looking forward to. But I guess I can only take it one day at a time. *shrugs*

Aye. Misty or Brock's last name was never mentioned in any of the episodes or movies. In English, anyway. More than likely what you found was someone assuming that her last name is Waters, or they translated it from some source in the Japanese anime or manga. *shrugs* We won't know unless somebody actually interviews Tajiri-san and asks him, I guess.
Originally posted by Desbreko In the second movie, didn't Misty also refer to Ash as her boyfriend, late in the movie?
Yeah, but most people would probably write that off as jealousy towards Melody, or whateveer her name was. (Can't remember that far back). I think it would be interesting to see those two in an actual relationship. Their personalities given, the things that could happen would be endless in a one-sided perspective.

From what I gather, it's an anime based on the Susanooh legend from Japan. There's a girl named Momiji Fujimiya that is a part of the Kushinada line (which is the girl Susanooh took for his wife for killing a monster that was going to swallow her for her family) and was to be sacrificed to keep the Aragami demons from attacking Japan. For one reason or another, her sacrifice was stopped and she became part of the TAC (Tokyo Aragami Control, I'm figuring). She also has a Mitama (sp?), which is apprentaly the soul of the Aragami, but her's allows her to track the things down. Mamoru Kusanagi is sort of a bodyguard to Momiji and has seven Mitama with which to do so. The plot is pretty deep, and I really want to see the other eps, especially the first seven, so I'll know the whole backstory, lol.

I like it. Very simple and it's black, white and gray. You obviously got what you wanted with the smoothness of the animation, and I love the Japanese text, though I have no idea what it says, lol. I'm going to go with the main charcter's name. ^^; I give it a 9/10.

It had been a while since Raye, Delete and Tabrett had set out from the tall rock in Summer Grove towards Azure City. Raye had mainly stayed slightly behind them and quiet during the walk, speaking only when one of her two new friends asked her a question. Delete noticed how quiet she was and dropped back slightly to match her stride, letting Tabrett take the lead. Raye didn't notice that he was beside her until he touched her arm lightly. She was slightly startled and drew quickly away, then calming herself upon realizing it was only him. "Did I scare you?" he asked laughing. "Slightly..." Raye said eyeing him. "I'm just kind of skittish." "That much I gathered. Why so quiet?" "Oh, I was just thinking about a few things is all." "Credit for your thoughts." "Where's the credit?" Raye said holding out her hand and smiling. She returned her hand back to her side and looked upwards at the sky. "I was just thinking how this place is just like the setting of good fantasy book. Anything can happen here." "True." Delete replied as he followed her gaze. "I've heard a lot of things about this place. Some of it good, but most of it not. You've just got to be careful." "Yeah. You never know what'll happen next." It was then that Raye so happened to run into Tabrett because she'd stopped suddenly. Delete also stopped and looked ahead to see what had caused Tabrett to freeze. All three of them gazed down at a large fight that had erupted at the foot of the hill they were on. "Case in point." Raye mumbled.
