1. I hope that fire can be contained. I've never had a huge fire, but a fire started by someone's cigarette forced me to move about eight or nine years ago.
2. I play the trombone and the baritone horn. I prefer the trombone though. It's easier and more fun to play. I'm so good at it, I got to play a solo at a concert last year.
3.
Originally posted by kool_aid13 Bah! I hate the internet slang! >.< I also hate it when people at school call me "dog." That gets annoying alot.
Try being called "Hey, Light-Skinned Girl!" every day. -__-;; Internet slang has really started to get on my nerves as of late. At first, I didn't mind it, and even used it myself on occasion, but now, too many people have come down with kuja syndrome. I can't stand it! If you're going to type something, type it right, or don't type it at all. Your fingers won't fall off if you type out the whole word.
4. Yes, it would be good. It's on about a 6th grade reading level, but it'll hold your interest. And it's not too long. Only 200 some-odd pages, but the type is fairly big. I'd recommend it if you're doing something of the book report degree.
5. I read the sequel about a month ago while the boards were still under renovation. It was hilarious! I loved it when Holly punched Artemis. But the ending was nice too. I won't say anything about it for the people who haven't read it yet. Hey, Maul, have you tried looking in new and used bookstores like Books & Co.? They usually have all sorts of books like these there.
6. I remember seeing that on Good Morning America. That was so sad to see that poor man be beaten for no reason. The father and son said they attacked him because he supposedly flipped them off. Doubtful. Those two morons just wanted to hurt somebody, and get known for doing it. People like them irk me to no end. Hurting people for fun.....sad....:nope:

Golem...
Originally posted by Desbreko I used to use that move set on my Golems (I think they're really good, if you want a rock/ground type), but the problem with Fire Blast is that Golem's special attack stat kinda stinks. I'm looking for a replacement for Fire Blast, but I haven't quite decided on what move yet. The Rock Slide, Earthquake, Explosion set is good, though.
Yeah, it does. I would try to replace it with a good, solid, Normal-type move like Return/Frustration or Strength. You could probably even incorparate Rollout into it.
8. To be honest, it's true, yet it's not. At times, all men can be "dogs," as we call them, but at others, they can be the sweetest people we know. It all depends on the demeanor of the guy. I know plenty of good guys here at the boards and where I live, but only a few.
9.
Originally posted by Foredaddy Thats where you are wrong. There is WAY more to life than the internet.
That's very true. I used to be a chronic Internet junkie a couple years back, but now that I'm older, I have a lot more to do, and more people to hang out with occasionally. Plus, I have to write for my school newspaper and I'm on Junior Board at my school, so I can't log on that much, but I don't really care. It may be boring in my little life, but there are many more things to life than the Internet.
10. Although I know that Saddam Hussien is a serious threat to international security, I'm all against going to war with Iraq. We don't need a repeat of Vietnam anytime soon, but if we engage Iraq, that's exactly what it's going to turn into, only on a larger scale. There has to be another way to go about getting weapons inspectors into Iraq without going as far as war. It's all quite idiotic in my opinion.
11. It is very odd to think how the world would be without all of our technological advances. It'd probably be more like it was back in the late 1800's in a way. I mean, we'd still have to rely mail carriers, which take forever. Things like the Boards would never exist, and people from different countries couldn't communicate as freely as they can now. We'd find a way to get by, but it would be harder. And more boring.

eminem

I'm kinda hypocritical on the subject of Eminem. I like his music, yet I don't. It's like, the lyrics are pretty out there on the boarder, if not over in most people's opinion, yet they have nice beat. As far as background support goes, he's cool, but some of his lyrics can be pitched. The one song that he made that I truly like is Without Me. That video was hilarious.
13. Popularity...... Bah. Popularity has been put on way too high a perch in school. People just snub you because you're not part of the "in-crowd" when they don't know the first thing about you. Popularity can go to Hell for all I care. If you don't like me for who I am, that's on you. I'm pretty much a loner myself, but I do have a group of friends I hang out with from time to time. I'm pretty much the same online. Not liked by anyone, but not too hated either.
14.
Originally posted by Desbreko Cool idea that I've had since seeing Pokémon Stadium: Why not make a game (in 3D, of course) where, instead of having the battles turn based, you actually have an arena (like, an area so big, for battling), and then you give your Pokémon commands and it responds. It would be like it the cartoon, where you're the trainer, and you could tell it when and what attack to use, to dodge, and other stuff, and the two Pokémon would actually move around in the arena and fight. Maybe they could even have a microphone accessory so you could actually say the commands, if they could get the voice recognition good enough. I wouldn't want it for an online game, though. Either that, or have it so both trainers have to agree on which fight style to battle with. That would be really cool, I think.
That would be very cool. Of course, we'll probably never see it happen, but it's nice to think about. What I want to see is if Nintendo makes a game over in Japan for that new VR accessory they made for the GCN.
15.
Originally posted by James On a professional level, I want to change the face of interactive entertainment forever. Doesn't sound too realistic, but hell...it's a dream. :)
Well, you never know. With all your computer knowledge, it's pretty possible you could do it. As for my lifelong dream, I've had many. At first, when I was seven, I wanted to be vetenarian, but I quickly dropped that idea. Then I wanted to be a voice actor, but I dropped that too. Now I'm determined to be a cartoonist. And I'm well on my way, as I've been accepted to an art school that I can go to when I'm done with high school.
16. I remember seeing that on an MTV Newsbreak. I really like DP, and it was sad to hear that he died. He was only 30, too.

Beedrill??
Originally posted by Paul Beedrill is a definate no no Reasons: its a really rubbish pokemon just like magikarp and wobbuffet. i mean i once trained one up to lvl:100 but it took so long and the fact that whenever i battled it it fainted i got pretty pissed off at it and nearly ended up throwing the cartridge across the room!
That's your opinion. True, Beedrill may have some....drawbacks, but it's all a matter of your own personal taste.
18. My favorite serious quote: "If you always look at the darkness of the past, you'll never know the brightness of the future." -I forget, but I still like it My favorite silly quote: "Behold the power of my rolled up newspaper! *whack*" -Seph
19. I personally am against doing any type of drugs or drinking alcohol or anything of that sort that would later cause complications in my health, but if Nevada wants to legalize marijuana, let them. It just might cut down on the crime rate, as I've noticed that some homicides (or most, depending on where you live, like where I do) revolve around drug deals gone bad. It really doesn't matter if they legalize it or not, though, because people will just keep doing it anyway...

Reading

I absolutely love to read. It's all I do in my spare time when I'm not here or working on my new site. I always have a book nearby in case I'm bored. I would have to sat that my favorite genre is fantasy. I love books that have to deal with things that couldn't happen. Dragons and wizards have always interested me. I'm currently reading The Eyes of Dragons by Stephen King. It's pretty good.
21. I got a 121, which is supposed to mean I have above average intelligence, but I don't really care. As long as I get through high school and college, I'm straight.

Inu Yasha

Inu-yasha is an okay anime. I like the battle scenes and such, but I hate the fact that they use the same method over and over to let the viewer in on the character's inner thoughts. I haven't been watching it recently, though. I keep falling asleep before 11 o'clock. But all in all, it's pretty good. Not overly great, but you can sit through it without being annoyed too much.
23. I guess I can relate to Leopard Girl the most. I've only seen it on DDS, though. I've got a great sense of balance and my friends say that I make noises that sound like a cat. I have very odd friends. o_O;;
24.
Originally posted by GinnyLyn And since Japan is sometimes referred to as the land of the rising sun, and Koja is a ninja, it all kinda makes sense, yes? I'd really like to see this Ditto/Golbat card now...
I have the card in English, so when our scanner comes back up, I'll put it up for everyone to see. Or someone else can, if they have it.
25. It was a thing that almost all the members were involved in. It was really just like a big RPG, but it was really spammy and got shut down. I think that was when we had all the clans and things back then, and the boards weren't as great as they are now. But, of course, I've been getting hit in the head by far too many hackey-sacks lately, and my memory isn't as good as it used to be, so I may be mistaken about the time, but there was a war, if you want to call it that.
